Nevio took it around the block and told me to come back in 2 days. He fixed the tranny and gave me a bill for $125. Over the past 50 years I've brought every vehicle I've owned and have referred dozens of friends to them and everyone has been delighted. Most recently my daughter was told by the GM dealership that her tranny would need to be replaced at about $4200. I brought it to Nevco and it was nothing more than a broken pin. Total cost $350 including labour. Jon K

When my tow truck pulled up at 6:05 (they close at 6:00) they stayed behind to talk to me about what happened and were genuinely interested about the problem and getting to know the situation. The next day they provided a free diagnostic to be sure what was wrong and were very informative when they called to tell me the problem. When they diagnosed the problem (an almost destroyed timing belt) they ordered and replaced it the same day so that I was able to pick it up in less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. My car works perfectly now and I can be assured that the rest of my car is fine due to their thorough job. Pricing was as fair as it gets and more than reasonable for the job. Overall this was the best experience I have ever had with a mechanics shop and they took great care of my car. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Christina and Joe runs the shop and they provide genuine feedback and advice. They never try to up sell you for anything that is not necessary, instead they will actually take their time to go over the conditions of the car with you, explaining what's good or what is recommended. I have been taking my cars to them for several years now and every time I get it maintenance, I can definitely tell the difference in how the car runs. Unlike other shops, they try to provide more of a personal rather transactional relationship to their customers. Referred few of my friends to go here and they also love it. Highly recommended especially if you're someone who doesn't know anything about cars. Also recommended for anyone who actually cares about their car. It's a no brainer 5 star!

Get a call a couple days later saying the sound is my struts so they need to be replaced. I said to go ahead get a call a day later then it was suppose to Be completed and they broke a bolt which is common with my car but they say it's more labour. I'm more or else ok with it so I get my car back a day later than told which is fine but there was no alignment done because they don't actually do alignments there which I wasn't told even though I specifically asked for One.since I don't drive it often I didn't notice the noise is still there and the out of balance wheel is better but still shakes and my car doesn't drive any better than before the new struts were installed I don't feel they fixed anything. Nothing. The price was way more than it should have been as well they wanted almost 1000 for struts That I'm Pretty sure we're fine but since I paid cash it was less. Which is a little shady... this is a few months later now and I Just got my Wife's struts done at a different shop and she paid less than 200 dollars for labour and we bought the struts to get installed .I wouldn't recommend this place at all this place didn't fix the problem I had and charged me for things I didn't need. I don't think they even drive the car to find the problem just charged me the most expensive they could and didn't fix the problem which I took elsewhere. This place is a rip off 0 stars

I took my beloved 2017 Ram 3500 to Barrett based on reading their reviews. The truck had 830,000…read moremiles on it when they serviced the Aisin Transmission, which is the original and never rebuilt. I noticed when I picked the truck up that the water and fuel light was on and I thought that was a strange coincidence. Over the years this light has come on two or three times after a car wash, and it's an easy fix to clean out the water in the sensor connection. I did that and even replaced the sensor in the rear fuel water separator. The light was still on, even though the fuel looked clean, so I ended up taking it to a shop in Oak Harbor before driving to the Tetons, as that light was bothering me. It turns out the technician at Barrett had inadvertently pinched some wires that ran along the crossmember below the transmission mount when he reattached the cross number. Thus the cause of the water and fuel light. Barrett was extremely honorable and covered the cost of those wire repairs, and the shops diagnostic fee. So the only thing I was out was the cost of a water and fuel sensor and time. At the time of this post, the truck has nearly 832,000 miles as I just did a trip to Teton Valley and back to Washington and the transmission ran beautifully. The service work the technician did was otherwise perfect and this type of mistake could happen to anyone, so I do not fault Barrett and I would gladly use them again and intend to. The fact that they honored this situation without question is an indication of a shop that has integrity.

Mark assured me that they'll take an assessment of the issue and get back to me before doing any work. Later in the day I received a phone call from Mark. He shared with me the red fluid was not tranny fluid, however, the specialized coolant my duramax requires. He went on to describe that all fluid levels were appropriate and the tranny and transfer case were in fine shape. Despite feeling a bit embarrassed about not differentiating the difference between the tranny vs coolant fluids, I was extremely grateful that they did not take advantage of me and, instead, went on to show me where the issued was. Such honesty goes a long way these days. Based upon numerous recommendations from mechanics I trust and respect, and Barrett transmission's honesty (and the time they took to further investigate and show me the issue)., I'll be back with any transmission issues or maintenance needs that I might have. Thank you Mark and Cameron (the tech) for your professional and honest assistance. Charlie D, Ferndale
