I paid around $12-13 for a hiho dbl and i thought it was a great deal for the quality. The hiho dbl was juicy and delicious. I really liked how the patties were made slightly medium. The toppings were awesome and I loved the pickle crunch. However, it does need raw onions options, especially with something pretty fatty. Also, I just wished the burger was seasoned a little better. It was great overall though. Though I appreciate the grass fed and grass finished, why not follow through with grass fed and grass finished tallow for fries? Not sure why they're still using vegetable oil for fries. Otherwise, this place would be better imo. Service was quick and friendly. There was seating inside, but the area around was so nice that we decided to just eat this outside.

The restaurant shares a gated parking lot with REl, which kindly validates two hours. Inside the restaurant, the vibe was quiet with a music playlist going. I ordered the HiHo Burger and French Fries, which was ready for dine in about 10 minutes. HiHo burgers are grass-fed, grass-finished Wagyu burgers. The burger, though smaller than an In-N-Out Double-Double, was good with melted cheese, onions, and fresh lettuce. The cashier asked me if I wanted my burger with Side Matty Sauce, and so I did. The fries were fine, but in my honest opinion could be a larger serving. At $10.45, HiHo is in a higher price level than In-N-Out and Shakeshack, but of comparable quality of taste. Worth a visit, but not at the top of my list. Will give HiHo a solid 4 star rating.

I finally understand why this place has 4.9 stars instead of a perfect 5…read more I was walking around Venice Beach looking for a good burger and kept seeing great reviews for Burger Spot. Since I was specifically craving a smash burger, I decided to give it a try. The good news? The food was exactly what I came for. The smash burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked right. The fries were good, too. And as a bonus, they had Cherry Coke Zero -- which is surprisingly hard to find these days. For about $15 including the drink, I thought the price was completely fair for Venice. So why am I talking about 4.9 stars? Because my wife ordered lunch from the Italian place right next door. That's when an interesting comparison happened. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my order. When it was ready, I got up and picked it up myself. The burger came in a takeout container. After I finished eating, I threw everything away myself. Meanwhile, my wife received her food in about five minutes. It was served on a real plate. Someone brought it to the table. Later, a staff member came by to ask if everything tasted good and if she needed anything else. The funny part? She paid only a few dollars more than I did. Both of us left the highest tip option the terminal offered because we appreciated the effort and wanted to support local businesses. And that's exactly when it clicked. Burger Spot serves a very good burger. In fact, I'd happily come back. The food deserves the reputation. But when the restaurant next door delivers a noticeably better overall experience for almost the same money, the difference becomes impossible not to notice. So yes, I'm still giving Burger Spot 5 stars. The burger was good. The fries were good. The price was fair. But if the owners ever wonder what separates 4.9 from a perfect 5.0, they don't need to look very far. Just look at the neighbors. No hard feelings -- that's simply what I experienced as a customer. And if Burger Spot matches its service to the quality of its food, they'll have something truly special.

It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.
