Food is bangin! Dude the bbq here is so incredibly good! Honestly feels like you're at a Cook out in the back yard and taste like it too! Ribs were insane, fall off the bone. Potato Salad was perfect homemade potato salad with onions, garlic and mustard base the way it's supposed to be! Mac and cheese smoked... yeah smoked Mac and Cheese! Homemade Banana pudding to go didn't even make it home. The best part though, the customer service. Owned by the nicest hardworking family. Chatted with both the husband and wife tonight. Such good people and amazing service! The really aim to make your meal the best it can along with your experience, you won't be disappointed! Can't wait to go back! Get you sommmeee! read more

This breaks my heart, the closure and the fact that someone intentionally started a fire here, on June-teenth. Willie and his crew made the best Cajun-Texas bbq and sides that I've ever had in Oregon. My daughter, Julia and I took all of our out of state visitors to this restaurant. And everybody LOVED the food and how the owner always checks in on his patrons, to make certain that every one was happy! We cried when we heard about the fire. God Bless then read more

From the moment you walk in, the waitstaff greets you with the biggest smiles and the warmest welcome. The service is hands down the best I've experienced in Oregon -- attentive, kind, and genuinely caring. I'd give top ratings for the food, atmosphere, and overall service without hesitation. The fish and chips are the best I've had in Oregon, perfectly cooked, crispy, and packed with flavor. They truly don't miss when it comes to seasoning. And that special sauce? I loved it so much I started calling it the "Bayou Sauce" because it tastes like it came straight out of New Orleans! It's that good. I'm very picky about smoked meat, but theirs completely won me over. My brother even brought some home for me to try, and it was incredible tender, flavorful, and smoked to perfection. This place in Eugene, has such a strong sense of community. I've never walked into a restaurant and genuinely felt so much love and positive energy. The food was beyond incredible my mom described it as "fire," and she wasn't wrong! The desserts are amazing. You can truly taste how fresh and homemade everything is. I'm also a huge hot wings fan, and their wings are some of my favorites. And don't skip the fresh lemonade -- we had blueberry lemonade, and it was absolutely refreshing and delicious. The gumbo was very tasty. I loved the fresh ingredients used. The flavors were definitely there. Overall, I'm beyond impressed and can't wait to come back. This spot is a true gem! read more

Ordered through delivery service the 3 meat plate and the amount of meat was minimal. Ribs were good though along with pulled pork. Chicken was was pretty mid. Completely missing the double order of Nannas Banana pudding which soured our experience of trying a bbq joint we've never tried. read more

I like this place, delicious smoked meats. Our service was a little quirky, when we first arrived it took a long time to be seated because nobody was attending the front. The host/bartender told us she made a killer margarita and then after she served them asked us if they were good 2-3 times. The sides were a mixed bag but overall I liked them. We sat outdoors in a shaded back area which was nice and cool on a hot day. I would come back again, I feel like they can impress me! read more

Wonderful everything and kind folks too!! The Ribs are as authentic as it gets!!! Fall off the bone delish!! I really liked the collard greens and beans YUM!!! read more

I am SO excited to have Davis NW Smokehouse in the Whiteaker and cannot recommend them enough! I love what they've done to the enterior of the Historic Dew Drop Inn, and the music choices were top notch when I visited. Willie (the Chef and owner) and his entire team are welcoming, kind, and very good at what they do. Having grown up in the southern United States, I have very high standards for BBQ and Soul Food, and whenever I think about my meal at Davis NW Smokehouse, my mouth waters. I can't wait to be back many, many times -- for the BBQ, the company, and the Smoked Peach Margaritas read more

Went tonight for dinner with my family. Was served by the very friendly owner; he talked us through the menu, answering several questions and allowed substitutions. The food was all great, the chicken in particular was nice and moist, great flavor on the smoked chicken and the fried chicken had a great crunchy salty coating. The ribs were very tender and were falling off the bone. The sides portions were super-generous and very delicious, my wife loved the mac and cheese and we all agreed the fries were great and the gumbo was tasty. The restaurant was clean, friendly and at the end of the night the owner even told us to keep the tip. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others. read more

Best BBQ experience we've had in years! Had the place to ourselves on a rainy afternoon and had great conversation with the owner. I always find something that could be better, but not today. Sweet tea was strong and sweet. Cajun fries were great. Tri tip was tender. Ribs were fall off the bone insane. Fried chicken was super crispy, juicy and not greasy. Loaded mash and loaded beans, all perfect. Perfect cornbread with a great herbed butter. I'm not exaggerating. Every. Single. Item. Was delicious. A huge shoutout to the vegetarian options, they're not an afterthought like most BBQ joints. The owner's wife is vegan and it shows. My vegetarian wife loved her dishes, and there's a separate fryer for non meat dishes. This place might be new, but these wonderful folks clearly know what they're doing. The food is homemade, authentic and well thought out. The people are what's gonna keep you coming back though. If I lived in the area, I'd eat here every week. read more

Absolutely wonderful food paired with even better service. Will is a wonderful and an even more wonderful cook, the smoked chicken was the best I've ever had, an absolute must try. The outdoor seating was the perfect spot to eat. Will go again, and you should too. read more

We were in town to drop off our son to college, and found this hidden gem. We ordered 2 plates of smoked ribs, a pull pork dinner, and loaded potato. The smoked meat were tender and flavorful. Sides were amazing too! (Mac and cheese, greens, potato salad.) The loaded potato, which unfortunately was a miss. Woke up this morning and realized they didn't give us the corn bread. Bummer, and this means we need to come back again. Lastly, we appreciate the friendly service. read more

We ordered the sampler plate and all of the food was really good. We will be back for sure! read more

This was some of the best barbecue I've ever had. I got the pulled pork plate with Mac n cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. Fall off the mmmm bone good. Great customer service. You can smell the bbq miles away. Great place

Order this for dinner thinking that all the reviews were awesome and that the pictures look good but only thing good that I got was the meat. The mac & cheese is very dried and the loaded beans are loaded with something I have no clue with, but not the taste you want in your mouth, very disappointed and just a waste of money read more

When you come into this cute little place it has a cozy feel to it and you are greeted with a warm smile. We ordered the pulled pork and Smoked Chicken with BBQ sauce. Both were juicy and full of flavor. The right balance of salty to sweet, everything that true comfort food should be. For our sides you get two per platter plus corn bread. We chose pulled pork with loaded mac n cheese, and collard greens. The loaded Mac n cheese was perfect! It was everything mac n cheese lovers would want. Crispy from the cheese and bacon topping with green onions and and it was smokey from the pulled pork. It didn't need any extra salt. The cheese sauce in it was gooey and had a custard like creaminess. It is just like your beloved mi ma's prized baked Mac n cheese that everyone fights for the last serving over. The collard greens were tender and a had the perfect bite to them. Each bite had little surprises of smoked meat giving the perfect marrying of flavors. The other two sides were NW beans. Smokey and giving hints of brown sugar but not too sweet like typical baked beans. The gumbo had tender bites of chicken, savory and juicy andouille sausage with the perfect hints of fille and spice. You really get the holy trinity here. The corn bread is tender and sweet with surprising bits of corn and do I detect some sweet honey and butter? It was the perfect dipping accompaniment. We used our spoons as the corn bread can fall apart but it goes so beautifully with everything. The sweet tea I ordered wasn't overly sweet with just the perfect balance. Not like other places where you can only drink some of it. It was good to the last drop. There is more than one section in the restaurant to sit. For those who want more than just a soda, water or tea, they do have an array of cocktails with a full bar. The daughter and owner were so wonderful and informative. The owner gave us more rice for the gumbo so no soup was wasted. Their dear friend who just had another beautiful baby girl also made the night more welcoming by with their conversation. They truly know what they are doing here everything that we ate was amazing. You could tell they used the best ingredients and really put a lot of love into their food. It came out pretty quickly. The price point was very good for all that we ordered and we still had a bit of leftovers to take home. If you're indecisive and want to try multiple things they offer other platters with all of the meats with four sides. This is a place that you can go for any occasion. I definitely will be back to try other dishes, desserts and bring more people!! This is true SOUL FOOD read more

We arrived and had to sit ourselves. We weren't visited by a waitress for at least 30 minutes while some loud white DJ rapped on a mic. We later moved inside and were told by a waitress that most of the things we ordered they didn't have. After an hour we were told that we would be reviewing some sides in the meantime, we waited another half an hour and they never came. We decided to leave. Horrible service. Loud DJ. No communication. Go to any other BBQ in Eugene if you want a good experience. read more

I read the other reviews which inspired me to give this a try. My husband does not like to do anything new so I had to show him the picture that someone had posted of their meal and then he agreed to try it. We could not have been more delighted! Will, the owner and smoker of the meats, greeted us when we came in. He asked if it was our first time. There wasn't anybody else in the place, but bags of food kept going out the front door every few minutes. His menu is simply this: The best barbecue I've ever had! The meat falls off the bone (I had the ribs, of course). I mean, how can you judge a barbecue place unless you try the ribs? And oh my God! They were so absolutely delicious. The only thing that could rival them were the side dishes. The collard greens will make your eyes roll back in your head. This is true, much needed soul food in every sense of the word. Will and his staff are wonderful people and that's the icing on the cake. If you want to experience pure joy in these dark times, this is your place, and Will is your man. read more

I am very hesitant to write this review cause it's only going to make this place impossible to get in to. With that being said, I am always looking for good BBQ/Soul food. I mainly stick to hole in the walls (Not Hole in the Wall BBQ). This place fits every bill, service, food, and atmosphere. Phoebe was a great server and Will took the time to talk to us about his creations and was happy to hear our feedback. I included some picks show you how quaint it is and how good the food looks. Sorry we already destroyed the smoked chicken before taking the pick. Tri Tip, Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Cornbread, Collard Greens, Loaded bbq Beans. Everything was perfect! read more

Davis NW has amazing, delicious food and great service! Will definitely be coming back!

You need to try this place! The food was excellent, but the service was what stood out for us. Will Davis, the owner, personally waited on us and every table. He made everyone feel special. Even though it was our first time dining here, he treated us as if we were regulars. We ordered the ribs, but since they weren't ready yet (we arrived right at 5pm when they opened) he said he would give us an order to go for free. Even though he was very busy, he made sure to greet every customer personally and made them feel special. We tried all the smoked meats and he even gave us a free fried chicken. The meats were cooked perfectly. The salad was huge, fresh and the perfect compliment to the meat. The sides were all great (loaded mashed potatoes, loaded mac n cheese, potato salad). We wanted to try the beignets, but were too full. Overall, one of the best and most enjoyable experiences I've had dining in Eugene. Our bill for 3 with 4 beers, came to $48! I left a 50% tip and still feel as if I got a great deal! You need to try this place! read more

Came in tonight to check out this newer spot. I was Immediately impressed by the customer service and cleanliness of the interior. The cocktail list is very well rounded with some great choices. My daughter had the Gumbo which she stated was a 10/10. I had the mixed plate with ribs and brisket. Very good! Decent beer selection as well. We were offered a special dessert which was Fantastic. Portions and service excellent. Will be back for sure! read more

Great people and genuine bbq with Louisianna/cajun flavors. Everything was delicious, esp the sides! Will def be back!

Amazing food my favorite is the Mac and cheese to be honest and I don't like anyone's make and cheese more than my own but the owner can make some bomb Mac and cheese mmmmm I have only tried the ribs Mac and cheese and corn bread which all is amazing I can't wait to try the tri tip good job guys you all are amazing read more

This was the strangest dining experience I've had in decades. They were out of all kinds of things, most of the food came out cold, and the smell of weed permitted the air for about 5 minutes in the middle of dinner. Plus tons of other bizarre things that would take too long to list. I was waiting for a camera crew to jump out and inform us we were on candid camera. To make matters worse, my 12 year old accidentally ended up in the employee bathroom which he reported didn't have any soap. I'd stay away from this place. read more

The ribs were amazing! Tender, smoked to excellence and absolutely delicious! The beignets melt in your mouth, collard greens and cornbread very tasty! I definitely plan to go back for the jambalaya, tri-tip, and many of the other items on the menu!!!!!! read more

I got the big plate with 3 meats, 2 sides and cornbread. The meats were, tri-tip, ribs and chicken the tri tip was done just right and very tender. The ribs had great flavor and were very tender and done just right. The chicken was good also , tender and great flavor. For sides I had the NW Loaded beans made with pieces of pork shoulder and bacon bits they really tasted great and the Mac and cheese it also tasted very good. A lot of places like this don't put much effort into their sides but for me great sides can really make a meal outstanding. My wife had the tri tip plate with the potato salad and the NW loaded beans. She also enjoyed her meal very much. Needless to say we will be going back again , soon hopefully.. Thanks to the smoke master and the wait staff! read more

Shockingly outstanding. Jambalaya was just like New Orleans, could be a meal in itself. Ribs unbelievably tender, flavorful, and NOT greasy at all. Chicken had the most wonderful flavor ever. It was really hard to pick a winner. read more

Disappointed. What we got was good. Ordered 2 Northwest Samplers. "All the meats, 4 sides, 3 muffins $37(each)" for pick up 4/5/25. The hours stated they opened at 3, so we thought that ordering as soon as they opened would give us the best chance at fresh barbecue. Called order in at 3:01. The staff that answered was friendly and courteous. I told her I would like to order for pick up, then ordered 2 of the NW Sampler. Learned that there was no beef, so I substituted hot links. Ordered the 8 sides: 2 loaded mash with pork, NW beans, greens, loaded Mac & cheese, plain Mac and cheese, coleslaw and dirty rice. My partner picked up the order. What we got were 2 containers each with 2 ribs, 2 chicken thighs, and pulled pork. 6 of the sides were in 8 oz containers, 4 muffins, no links, no coleslaw, no dirty rice. There were 2 containers of gumbo and 2 containers of rice, which hadn't been ordered. I'm not in the habit of reviewing businesses. We either continue to be patrons or we don't. The food was tasty. The hot links had apparently ran out before the order was picked up. The reason was because they were catering. Okay, I get it. But what about the dine in and take out orders? Had we known that catering took precedence over other diners we would have chosen to ask if catering was happening that day, and ordered another time. read more
