While trying to trade the Salesman was told to only run our credit one time. It was ran over 15 times. I called and left a message for the Manager to call and nothing. I filed a complaint with the BBB. All I want is a letter to send to all the inquires that was done without my permission. They wont even contact me to get this corrected. I took my car in to have the trunk release cable replaced but before I left the lot, I received a phone call from a service writer named, Ashleigh (sp?), saying for me to come pick up my car that it needed to go to a body shop. She said they didn't want to waste my time or money. I didn't know what the hell she was talking about. So I took the car to another dealership, and they replaced the trunk release cable, and all is well. Your dealership must be desperate for help to keep someone as stupid as that service writer. To tell someone they needed an autobody shop when all they needed was a new trunk release cable? Wow! What an idiot! Ray in the service department should not have a position that involves him speaking to customers. His comments about a potential recall were undermining, sarcastic, and unprofessional. I brought in my 2018 GMC Acadia that has a "shift to park" sensor defect. Looking online there is a recall for 2018 GMCs for this EXACT issue. GMC makes cheap parts that don't last, especially sensors, and of course they didn't include my VIN in the recall even though there is a recall for my year vehicle with the EXACT SAME issue. They missed a lot of vehicles in this recall I'm betting. Anyway, Ray from service sarcastically mocked the internet as if he lives in the stone ages like Fred Flintstone. And when I asked to speak to the service manager, or someone higher up at GMC he said "I am GMC" like he owns the place. Then said his service manager was not working on this Monday. He wanted to charge me $150 diagnostics plus repairs and labor for an issue I specifically asked about weeks ago and made an appointment for..just for the shift to park sensor. The part isn't even that expensive, ended up having to order it myself and fixing it myself since GMC service departments are a money hungry scam. All in an effort to make up for losses on vehicles they can't sell. Selling my GMC and staying far away from these junk parts and these unethical GMC dealerships. read more

Long store short , I tried to purchase a vehicle from here , a used jeep , they offered me 4K lower than all the other dealerships on my trade , told me he didn't care because that's all my vehicle was worth to him . I even showed proof from 6 other dealerships who had offered me 4K higher on my trade he still didn't care. Then he told me to sell my car to one of them if I didn't like his price. There is also a 1400 dollar thing they add onto their vehicle , I told him I didn't want it , he told me if I didn't want that options then I could buy a vehicle somewhere else. He was very rude. I only asked for a fair trade value , never even asked for a discount on the jeep because it was priced fairly to me. Would recommend this place at All. This was a sales manager !! read more

Everything and everybody was so nice and helpful when i was purchasing the vehicle. Then after the sale that changed, they put my registration in the wrong county. I called they said finance guy would have to take care of that and he would call me, 8 days later nothing called back and they said I would have to call the DMV. Called to get my GM financial account number. should receive the contract in 2 weeks well after 3 weeks still nothing.I called and asked for phone number and address of GM financial they said they would call me back . I was able to purchase a vehicle at Capital, as you should be able to at any dealership, but that was as far as the convenience goes. The vehicle I purchased (a 2016 Colorado diesel with roughly 31k miles that cost me $33k) had an issue with the heat/AC coming only out of the defrost, no vent, no floor. This started the day after I took ownership (or that was at least the first time it was hot enough for me to need AC). I contacted the salesman who told me that he checked the vehicle out himself and nothing was wrong. I told him I had no reason to be making this up. He told me he would speak with his manager to see what they could do. It has been just over a month, I have taken my pickup to a local dealership where I live in Nebraska to get an estimate. I have provided that estimate to the salesman (~$1,440 and I also checked with Capital's service department, they said it would take ~$1,750 for the same repair). Still nothing. But wait, there's more. Capital said I had to pay my state's sales tax and licensing fees, which was fine. I paid them. They informed me that my title would be sent to my county dmv. It has been over a month now, my in transit tags are expired, and I still can't use my vehicle. It seemed like Capital only started the process when I had three days left on my temp tag and called them to ask where my title was after being turned away at the dmv. It was then that I was informed that I hadn't provided proof of insurance, which I certainly had to the salesman. Then, Capital has to send my title to a third party in Florida to process my interstate title. I have been told "it will be overnighted and should get there tomorrow" more times than I care to count. Buyer Beware if you purchase a vehicle from this dealership with a warranty & you use your vehicle for business purpose per the General Manager their new policy for Capitol is to not give you a loner vehicle. Had my 2021 High Country in for warranty repairs and routine maintenance. This included a tire rotation according to service ticket. After this service the truck had a noticeable vibration in the front. Took it back in to have it checked out. Initially the service tech could not feel the vibration. He then rode in the passenger seat with me driving and noticed/felt the vibration. At which point he rebalanced the tires, adding one ounce to the left front. It s worth noting he didn't realize this was a diesel powered truck even tough it was the second time he worked on it. After the rebalance I left the dealership, the vibration was still present, I called and set up another appointment. At that appointment I was advised that 4 separate individuals to include the Service Manager had driven the truck and were not able to feel a vibration. I was further informed that the Service Manager said "It rides that way because it has aggressive all terrain tires". The tires are the Bridgestone Dueller A/T installed at the factory. By no means an aggressive tread pattern. I contacted GM and took truck to another GM dealer who upon their tech driving stated they had no issue feeling the vibration,they were unable to diagnose that day but have scheduled another full day appointment to do so. I would not recommend purchasing or having a vehicle serviced by Capital based on this experience. Their attitude was that I was inexperienced and lacked enough knowledge to know their was an issue, and they could get by feeding me a line of crap. read more

They gave me a fair trade in value and negotiated on their price and went out of their way to make sure there weren't any problems with the Honda before I took delivery. I was interested in a 2008 Silverado they had for sale. I had been talking about it with a salesman and advised him that I had to work the weekend and it would be Tuesday before I could pick it up. He said OK. Monday came.....I called him at 4:30pm and asked him if they still had the truck. He stated yes. I told him I would be by early in the am to pick it up. He said OK.... I will call you in the morning if it is still here. Well guess what.. He called me about 830am and stated that he got off at 600pm Monday evening and they had sold the truck after 6pm. I was on the interstate on my way while I was talking to him. I got so mad I thought about turning around but I didnt. I went to Winston Salem and found a better truck with less miles. I wouldnt recommend this dealership to anybody wanting a truck or any type of vehicle. read more

Where do I begin in how bad this business is? Ok, so my car was taken for bodywork to the front end. Davis Chevrolet replaced a brand new radiator, condenser and fan assembly without authorization. But hey, mistakes happen. But when my wife called to talk to them about it, she was told the problem was hers, not theirs. I bought a used vehicle here and the small town service was great. Later I found out the car they sold me had been wrecked and they hid that from me by only showing one page of the vehicle history report. I brought this to their attention later and all they did was beat around the bush. They are not good about returning phone calls or taking care of customers. When it comes down to it they are a small volume dealer who doesn't care if they screw you over. Like I said the staff was friendly but don't let that fool you they will deceive you just like any other used car dealer. I wouldn't buy a used car here or recommend it. read more

I went into Davis Chevrolet to have a recall worked on for my 2011 GMC Acadia Denali. The recall was for the power lift gate on my motorized rear trunk. I'd had the notice for awhile but kept putting it off until the lift pole recently broke upon opening, so I figured I'd better get it fixed before something else resulted from it. I was told it would take 45 minutes. I opted to wait assuming it would be a pretty simple in and out process and arrived with just my daughter the week before Christmas at 8:30 am for my scheduled appointment. Not exactly a place u care to be that early in the morning if you're a female! I went to the check out desk where I was repeatedly avoided by the lady sitting on her duff in the far corner desk. She noticed me, but continued to do whatever she deemed more important while I waited, only to redirect me to the service desk in the garage area several minutes later. Great way to start the morning! After checking in and waiting the 45 minutes I was quoted, a service worker came out to tell me that the recall was to reprogram the computer that runs the motor but that the pole attached to the motor that was broken was not included in the recall. Really? No coincidence I guess that the very pole that broke was attached to the motor they needed to reprogram?? He quoted me $146 to have this fixed. I gave him the go ahead, but immediately sent a text to my husband to explain the situation. No way was my husband agreeing to pay for something that he deemed directly related to the negligence of GMC and their defective lift gate motor, so he contacted the service manager (Terry Owens) who claimed he would have to contact the GMC rep (Tim Groves) to approve coverage since it couldn't be proven that the recall was the cause of it breaking. My husband had intentions of doing that himself (which he communicated), but gave Terry the chance to make it right himself first. Several moments later, my husband received a call back to find out...you guessed it...Tim at GMC wouldn't approve the coverage. The whole time Terry (service manager) kept bringing up that we had never serviced our vehicle there before, yet he couldn't explain how that had anything to do with our situation & denied that it would have helped the cause if we ever had, so why bring it up? We concluded this must have meant that if u don't waste your money servicing your vehicle there on a regular basis then they feel no loyalty to doing what's right for you further down the road when u bring a car with their brand in for a recall. Let's not forget the fact they chose to NOT gain a new customer with a $50,000 car bearing their logo over a $75 part! I'm pretty sure I've already spent plenty to support GMC, yet THEIR loyalty still remains to themselves. If I'd had a choice outside of a GMC/Chevrolet dealer, I would have taken my vehicle to a different location for the recall too, just like anything else I've ever needed done! No one with any sense goes to a dealer by choice for anything in my opinion! Scenarios just like this are the reason most people go elsewhere. They're gonna rip u off if given the chance and this happened to be the only time Davis Chevrolet was gonna be able to screw us over since we have been smart enough to have no history with them making it clear it would be their only shot. Needless to say, after a lengthy conversation, my husband told them to discontinue their work. If we were going to have to pay out of pocket to have something fixed, we would rather choose to give our business to someone with integrity! Nearly two hours later when I left to get my keys and the paperwork to my car, I was met with attitude from the same lazy employee I was greeted by that morning. She knew I was irritated and I guess she had nothing better to do but try and make it worse. I mean after all, she had to get up from her chair twice because of me...obviously an inconvenience to what her plans were for that day! I received many nasty looks on the way out. Such a great way for these guys to act like gentlemen in front of a lady and her daughter!! Typical car salesman & grease monkey behavior when they find out they can't rip you off. I got home to discover the possible cause of their stares. Apparently my husband spent too much time ripping the manager a new "tailpipe", and so he didn't have adequate time to spread the news to halt work that was being done, so they had no choice but to send me on my way with the lift pole intact or break what they had fixed...lmao!! Guess they weren't willing to tuck their tails and explain that before I left. Finally...justice for the little guy!! I'll NEVER go back to Davis Chevrolet again, even for a recall! I'd rather drive out of town and find someone who knows what their job description as a customer service manager is...Someone neglected to train the ENTIRE group of employees at this location on the "customer service" part for sure!! read more

I purchased my vehicle from Davis after doing a lot of research. I was very pleased with the sales staff. They let me have my time to look at the vehicles on the lot before running after me. They really listened to my needs and what I was looking for in a car for my family. They didn't try to push me into a car that was not the right one for me! I had to take my car in for an engine repair recently. The service team was GREAT! They knew what the problem was right away and even arranged for a rental car from enterprise. Recently my 2003 Suburban cut off and had towed to Davis Chevrolet for repairs with only 90,000 miles on vehicle. Was contacted by service adviser stated that engine in vehicle was locked up and estimate of cost of repairs would be $6,000.00 for new engine. Service adviser suggested to sell vehicle as is instead of wasting $6,000.00 on repairs or trade in on new vehicle. Didn't have the funds for repairs at the time and had towed to my home. Vehicle sat for about 3 months and decided to find out what was damaged in engine to cause it to be locked up. After inspecting engine there was no sign of any damage to engine as was diagnosed that engine was beyond repair and had to be replaced with estimate at $6,000.00 dollars. Found problem with vehicle that a piece of the starter flex plate had broken somehow and wedged between torque and bell housing. Estimate repair to replace for that was $800.00 from another dealer. Davis could repaired vehicle while there if vehicle was properly diagnosed. So I spent $350.00 for no reason at all for paying them $90.00 for improperly diagnosing vehicle, having vehicle towed to my home and wasted parts expense for finding problem. So I'm glad I didn't sell vehicle or trade in as advised by service adviser. I would lost a lot of value of vehicle either way all by very poor diagnoses. AlI I can say is beware of Davis Chevrolet and the service department hope you are not being charged for repairs that you don't or didn't need. read more

Very disappointed. My mom lives out of town and had her 2007 Monte Carlo diagnosed at her local Chevrolet dealership. I convinced her to travel to our location and let Davis Chev do the needed service work. I called over a week in advance to schedule appt for the needed work. I expressed my mother was coming from out of town and wanted to make sure all work could be completed in one day. I was assured this would happen. Called Davis Chev to check on status of vehicle at 11:30 am (car was dropped off at dealership before 6 am) and no one had even touched the car and no time frame could be given. Unfortunately, poor customer service. They also told me that they would probably need the car for several days, which was the exact opposite of what I was told when I made the appointment. I told them to forget the service all together and I would just pick the car back up. This was a huge inconvenience for my mother and myself. Point is, do what you say and say what you do! Will never be back nor will I recommend Davis Chev!!! read more
