Dining in has been a good experience in the past. This was our second recent take out experience. I do not recommend. Having small children, we placed an order and went to my office, since it was unusually busy. It took 15 minutes longer than told, waiting for knots to be done. And although we ordered five entrees, we received three and half knots. And the tiramisu was melted. I called back and spoke to the manager, Alex, who although given the chance, he didn't apologized, just defended how the food was packed, by himself. The meal was ok, but not worth $90. read more

Positive Consistency in food, atmosphere service and overall experience is something very difficult to achieve but this Italian Restaurant has been serving up tasty hearty meals year after year in a wonderfully restored mill downtown. If you are in the nearby area and craving Italian food, skip the popular chain Olive Garden and come here instead. Better service and food here anyway but it can be considered on the pricey side by many so be warned. It is located in the Bates Mill area in Lewiston with large amounts of seating, but it does get busy at times. A family friendly atmosphere that you don't need to get all dressed up for. Starting with the drinks, they have lots of options for wines, cocktails, and my personal favorite, quite a large selection of beers. With many different local beer options from all over the state and from beyond. Everyone should be able to find a drink they like. Similarly, their food list is large as well with everything from starters (recommend the sausage stuffed mushrooms) to salads, pizza, and all the classic italian dishes you would expect. I personally recommend getting the chicken parm. You get such a large portion that you can eat half for that meal and still bring home half for later. We live 40 minutes away from Lewiston/Auburn, and normally when some business takes us there we'll dine at a favorite restaurant in the area because we aren't as familiar with the local venues as if we lived in town. Yesterday, however, neither of our known favorites was open so we took a chance on DaVinci's, the reviews being generally favorable. What a stroke of luck. DaVinci's is excellent. Eggplant Napoleon was a great starter, ditto the "garlic nuggets" (bread) and seasoned olive oil. For entrees, my wife had the Chicken Saltimboca and I had the Linguine Vongole. Her dish, she said, could've used a bit more sage. I told our server that my dish was perfect as presented. (We accompanied our meal with a bottle of good Italian red wine, reasonably priced.) The menu is large and we look forward to visiting again on another occasion that we're in town. read more

Except if you add an order of the Luna Di Luna (fried provolone served with both marinara and pesto). There ya go: that's my go-to meal at DaVinci's. Sure, the eggplant parm and baked manicotti are also super delicious: but I'm a simple girl. Gimme chicken pitcher wine, garlic knots and olive oil, and fried cheese and I'm happy, happy, happy. Ugh, someone take me here on a date now. Admittedly, the service can be hit or miss here, but I'm really in it for the eats. Also, I wanna throw some love their way for the: 1. Happy Hour: currently Monday through Thursday's from 3 to 5pm enjoy $2 off wine and beer in the lounge/bar area. 2. Pizza Buffet: grew up enjoying this and LOVE that it's still available. All you can eat 'za, soup, and salad? Duh, yes. I used to think DaVinci's was expensive, but after living in Portland for so long I'm just abundantly impressed with their offerings. Amazing food and great service! I tired the Brie pizza and it was fantastic - will definitely be recreating this flavor combo at home! Let me just start by saying that I used to frequently visit DaVinci's Eatery when I was in high school and it was always delicious food. My most recent experience however was lacking in a major way. I decided to order take out for my fiancé and I one evening as the pizza around us is not my favorite and I was craving something with a bit more "oomph". I ordered the garlic knots, a salad, and a large ham and pepperoni pizza. The garlic knots were missing some serious flavor, incredibly dry and no true flavor of garlic, the salad was just that-- a salad. The true disappointment of our evening was the pizza which was entirely missing toppings in the center. The remaining part of the pizza was pretty bare with toppings as well. I wouldn't rate this experience as being exceptional by any means and for the quality of the food we received, I would say we significantly over paid. Giving we visited this establishment in the winter in the middle of the pandemic, I could chalk our experience up to lack of employees while still learning how to navigate a business during a pandemic. I am definitely interested in giving DaVinci's another go and hope that our previous experience was a one time thing. read more

I did call ahead asking if we needed reservations they said they do t take reservations I asked how long was the wait they said no wait we got there within 5 min they said 20-30 min wait we waited 55 minutes so that was a little upsetting. Chicken parm was over cooked was over cooked and COLD. Side of pasta was COLD. Sauce on pasta was substandard. The restaurant was about to get busy with some tables being set for holiday lunches, but our order went in long before any of the bigger groups were even seated. Definitely a destination and not a place you'd jump into. Set in a cool old mill and decorated with an assortment of scooters and mini trucks, the atmosphere is warm and interesting. We went for lunch and so sandwiches rules the day. The parmesans were good, with the eggplant being a bit over cooked and under sauced, which made for a mushy dry bite. Meh, if you find yourself in Lewiston or Auburn and feel like some Italian you could check out DaVinci's. It's not terrible, but the pasta is akin to something you might get from an all night diner. We drove from New Jersey to Maine on Sunday after checking into the Hampton Inn Lewiston-Auburn, we were looking for dinner, hopefully, without needing to drive anymore! Unfortunately, many to most restaurants within reasonable walking distance was closed Sunday! We were hoping for a local flair but our choices were limited so we decided on DaVinci's which was opened but only until 8pm! We ordered the small pitcher of Chianti which came in a "Chicken" pitcher with the wine coming out of the chicken's mouth! It was actually pretty fun! And the size was good! I think we got about 3+ glasses. For food, we got the wings, eggplant parm, and the sausage with linguine. I ordered the large size of the sausage with linguine and it was very large! My wife got the small size of the eggplant parm and that was pretty good size, too! Both had leftovers! The place was much bigger inside than it looked! There is a full bar, an another big back room, and outside seating area! There's also a huge free parking lot right across the street Overall, we had a great experience! read more
