This was the first store I went to to try on bridal dresses. I'm not sure if it's because I have a small budget, but the sales person helping me was not attentive or helpful whatsoever. I selected a bunch of dresses and went to try them on. She said to knock on the door if I needed help zipping up or getting into them. Which of course I did! So I started knocking and I could hear the 2 people I brought with me who were sitting outside the dressing room say "why is she knocking?" I poked my head out and the salesperson was nowhere to be found. My mom and friend helped me with the rest of the dresses as the salesperson did who knows what in the empty store. At some point she brought out 1 belt to try with a dress. My mom and friend went to find more belts that matched better when the salesperson walked away again. After I tried on all the dresses and had an actual idea of what styles would look good on me, I asked if she could help me find any more of the kind of gowns that I was looking for in my budget. She walked away and returned 5 minutes later and said they didn't really have anything. I was looking for a v neck a-line gown on the simpler side. And she couldn't find one dress to fit that description. I had no intention of returning unless as an absolute last resort. Then! I went to a bridal show over the weekend. David's bridal had a table there and they said if you fill out a sheet they'll give you a $50 off coupon. I thought what the heck, they already have my info so I might as well do it just in case. So I turned in the sheet I filled out and lo and behold you had to make an appointment, right then and there, to get the coupon. The woman at the table was incredibly pushy and acted shocked that I hadn't found my dress yet and as if there was no way I'd find one in time (my wedding is in September and at my last appointment the salesperson recommended I order a dress by the end of February.) Well today the dress I ordered online (not from Davids) came in the mail and it is more detailed, intricate, and flattering than anything I tried on at David's bridal. And 1/3 of the price. I'll never go back there and I'll take my bridesmaids somewhere else as well. read more

I had heard some bad things about David's Bridal, so I was a bit nervous shopping there for my wedding dress. I ended up having an amazing experience! Jodi was my consultant and she did an incredible job. She let me know at the beginning that she had to help other brides too, but she always seemed to be there when I needed her. She knew the venue I am getting married in and let me know which dresses she thought worked better in the venue. I came in with a list of about 6 dresses I wanted to try on, but I ended up trying on 10 because she picked out some gorgeous dresses that fit my style. I did buy a dress from my original favorites list, but I'm still glad I tried on the others and I was impressed by her ability to pick up on my style so quickly. Jodi picked out the perfect veil to complement my dress, which I did buy. She has been working there for years and she knows the stock very well. She glanced at my favorites lost for less than 5 minutes then ran off to pull all the dresses right away. All in all, I had a great experience and I will definitely recommend the shop to a friend. read more

David's Bridal is definitely a corporate-monster-giant, but if you go here knowing that, I think the service, selection, appearance, and vibe are pretty good. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and only waited for about 10 minutes before we were assigned a sales woman. Tia was wonderful. She understood my unique situation, was happy to bring me more dresses than we had anticipated, seemed excited to help me, and overall, made me feel very comfortable and excited. I had a fantastic experience at David's Bridal. I ordered my bridesmaid dress6 months before the wedding and then found out I was pregnant. My dress of course did not fit when I tried it on 2 months before the wedding and I dreaded heading to the store to find a solution. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service the manager Megan and her staff provided. They were so accommodating,understanding and pleasant. I would reccomend going elsewhere. Even though I had an appointment well in advance, I was handed off to three different consultants within the first 10 min of arriving. The woman I had only pulled the most expensive dress from my list and without checking told me they didn't have the rest. Every time I was in the dressing room she kept pushing my mom to buy things when I hadn't even picked a dress yet, pretty much ruining her experience. Once I did pick a dress, without measuring me, the consultant said the dress tends to run small and proceeded to order a bigger dress size. I leaned later that David's makes a lot on alterations. Thank goodness I stopped into the Plymouth meeting David's the next day to try on my dress in the size ordered because I found it was way too big and was able to get the right size. I will be taking my bridesmaids to Plymouth meeting, not Whitehall! read more

My experience at David's Bridal was amazing. I took 2 of my bridesmaids and mom with me. They all found the perfect dress that they felt comfortable in with the help of Mari. She stood with us the entire time and catered to all of their needs. She was patient and so much fun to work with. After my bridesmaids tried on dresses, it was my turn. Mari pulled the most beautiful dresses that fit my body type. She made me feel totally comfortable and made my experience one I'll never forget. She helped me try on about 12 different dresses. I didn't feel rushed at all. After being sure I wasn't going to find the perfect, I said yes to the dress! I was always skeptical about going to David's Bridal for my dress because they are always so busy. The key is to go on a Sunday after 3. Went in with bridal party in November and decided on a color. Went back in January and notified staff on color change. Staff wrote down correct color. Girls had ordered their dress in February, received dress in April with incorrect color! Now have to drive an hour away to return incorrect dress in hopes of receieving the correct dress before the wedding. Very unorganized. Felt rushed when we made an appointment to try on dresses. My experience today with Jodi was so amazing . I was very limited to the dresses I could pick from but she knew exactly what to help me select . She recommended stuff to me. I felt so happy leaving the store. I didn't know what to expect I had brought a dress online had a bad experience I called other David bridals in ny where I just moved from they were not very helpful. I had an amazing experience finding my bridal gown at David's Bridal in Allentown. My wedding venue changed and I wanted to look at some other dress options. I told the sales consultant Adrianie that I might just wear my existing dress, and I honestly thought she would send me to look on my own because she may not make a sale. But she didn't. She asked me all the right questions and was genuinely interested in what was right for me. She was patient and let me try on all the dresses I needed to find the perfect dress. Adrianie's suggestions for my body type and vision were right on. Even the manager Lauren was available throughout the consultation with assistance and guidance. Agree with other people. This place is terrible, disorganized and unhelpful. Went to pick up my bridesmaid dress. I had to walk into the 'off limits' area in order to get someone to help me. Girl seemed annoyed- didn't ask me how the fit was came over with a thing to sign and walked off... Gee thanks. Dress doesn't fit right but not about to let those useless POS's charge me anymore for alterations... Would never recommend this hell hole to anyone. Go to smaller. I went in and had a women who seemed annoyed that she actually had to do something. I left and came back another day. I had a dIfferent lady who was nice at first but was ditracted by not being able to leave the front desk and not answer the phones. I purchased a dress, when I recieved it the belt was ripped. I called them and was on hold for 15 minutes and after actually speaking to someone she put me on hold for approx. 15 times. Finally Ann picked up the phone ...she was very annoyed that I had questions about possibley not getting the belt in on time for the wedding. Which bye the way I ordered the replacement 2 weeks previous. They could not find the order I was assured I would get a call the next day....I did not. I called Ann again and was told she was VERY BUSY and she did not have the answer as to when and IF they would be able to get the belt in. Still no call. I feel like they have my moeny why bother now! I would NEVER shop at this company again! Staff very rude and once you purchase something there is no follow through if you have a problem. read more

I was very nervous goinjg here for my second daughter's gown after purchasing my first daughter's in a boutique. However, every sales person was VERY friendly and helpful, the dress we bought was just what she wanted at less than I expected. The alterations were pricey but done just right and the ladies who did them were fabulous and obviously skilled. Yes, some of the dresses did look poorly made, but you can find one that is lovely if you look at all your options. This particular store did a great job of serving the whole bridal party and I would rate the service as quite good. I may go there for daughter number 3! read more

I'm not the typical bride and I don't care for big dresses. I went to David's knowing exactly what I wanted. I'm picky and hard to please. First off, I wasn't stupid enough to schedule an appointment on the weekend. I took a Wednesday evening appointment and received the undivided attention of my consultant. Amanda G, and there wasn't an overwhelming amount of people there. I brought my mother, flower girl, junior bride, maid of honor and bridesmaid(my daughter who is just as picky as I am). My picks were limited to say the least due to my picky nature. I wound up with a totally different dress than I wanted, but I was given the suggestion by my consultant Amanda G. She also attended to each of the girls in my party and my mother. We only went for my dress and walked out with everyone's dresses. Amanda G handled us exquisitely. We got our dresses, discounts delivery dates and all in a very timely, unrushed and professional manner by Amanda G. With talking to Amanda, I came to find out she went to school a year apart from my fiance as well. Just made me more comfortable, plus her personality was fabulous. Ask for Amanda G when booking your appointment. She gets the job done. Also, all of our dresses came in a month and a half early too. read more

I went to this store today with my best friend, just intending to look, no appt. I have 2 weddings in 2016, mother of the groom in both. I did no research ahead of time. We had plenty of time to browse, before choosing several dresses to try on. We quickly got assistance from Valerie. She offered us great advice & was friendly & efficient. I had an appointmentat David's Bridal yesterday and I'm very pleased with the experience. I was late for my appointment and they didn't give me any grief about that. Noemi was our sales associate and she was great! She took down some item numbers I had gathered before hand and let me pull some dresses while she looked for what I wanted and she pulled some really nice dresses along the same style for me. Originally I had come in wanting an all lace dress so I tried on a few, and a few more in other styles. I finally got to the three that she pulled for me, and I tried on a strapless satin fit and flare, which was not anywhere on my radar of what I wanted and it ended up looking absolutely stunning! The best part is that I was able to walk out of the store with the dress (wedding is in May and we were worried that it wouldn't be in on time if we had to order) and It only needed very little altering. I had a wonderful experience today at this David's Bridal! My consultant was Valeria (Val S.) and she was amazing! The manager Lauren also helped with my appointment and had alterations give me another quote on my dress which was very reasonable. They both were very helpful and sweet. Lauren was also super apologetic for the issue I had Monday during another appointment with a different consultant. I highly recommend Valeria as a consultant. I have had both good and bad experiences at this David's Bridal location. The first I scheduled an appointment for both bridesmaid and wedding dress appointments. The consultant (I couldn't even tell you her name but she was AWFUL) was very rude the entire time NEVER took measurements told me they had NOTHING that would fit someone like me (I'm a wedding dress 18-20.) I was INCREDIBLY discouraged and left the store without a dress for my bridesmaids or myself. The next time I went back I had a wonderful experience looking for a dress for my maid of honor. Jacklyn was FANTASTIC very understanding to price and even helped not only locate a maid of honor dress helped with the rest of my bridal party (10 girls sizes 00-24.) I had all intentions of coming back to schedule my wedding dress appointment with Jacklyn as well however the day we were looking she was not available. This past visit (5/14/16) was more than I could have ever asked for. I went in terrified that I would get an awful consultant and that none of the dresses would fit me and I would have a terrible time finding something. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Taylor who dealt with not only my incredibly opinionated mom and grandmother but me. Who is probably just as opinionated as both of them just won't admit it to myself. Taylor was pulling dresses all night for me, trying different veils, belts, every style cut and even size to find the perfect wedding dress for me. Brides, don't waste your time. I went looking for a dress for my vow renewal and had an absolutely horrible experience. My consultant was not attentive at all. After every dress, she asked me "is this it, are you done?" I felt rushed and felt that she just wanted a sale and to move on to the next customer. She didn't keep me posted on her whereabouts when she left me alone in the dressing room and my sister had to help me in and out of dresses. I finally was ready to say "yes" to a dress, but they couldn't get the dress in my size. Someone from alterations gave me an estimate for altering the existing dress to make it bigger and I was fine with the estimate, since it was around $30. When I went to check out, the manager of alterations said the alterations would actually be more, they almost had my money until I asked for an exact estimate. After once again changing back into my gown (for the 3rd time, since they kept telling me I was done and to take it off), the alterations manager gave me an estimate of almost $200 for alterations, which was more than the cost of the dress. I told the consultant to stick it and walked out. I feel bad for brides going through this experience for the first time who have to deal with such unprofessional and truly awful consultants at David's Bridal. I originally went to Davids Bridal for a fitting, because I was ordering on of their online dresses. I noticed that the girl who was doing my measurements did them completely the wrong way. I went elsewhere, and got the correct measurements. If I had followed the sizes she had given me I would have ended up with a dress 2 sizes too big!!! I recieved the dress, and the dress was wonderful, I love it, however it was too large around the bust. It is a strapless dress, style BR1000. I went in for my alterations appointment, I figured as long as I didn't get the same girl that measured me it couldn't be that bad, right? WRONG! Reyna, the alterations manager, was the person who was supposed to do alterations on my dress. I put it on, and explained that the bust was too big and needed to be taken in, and she repeatedly argued with me that I didn't want it taken in, what I wanted was a bra with more lift. She said "I see you, you keep pulling the dress up there." to which I explained "Yes, because it is too big and keep falling down!" She had me try on another bra, and still said that what I wanted was lift, and told me she would take the dress in because it wouldn't give me the lift I wanted!!! I left, and took my dress to Bridals by Carol in Northampton - and the wonderful lady there had me try it on, and right away knew what I was tlaking about. She walked in and said "Oh, all you need is for the bust to be taken in 2 inches." AND she was by far cheaper than Davids Bridal! Skip Davids Bridal, they are just too much of a headache! read more

The ladies' room was rather filthy and run-down, and I didn't like the "hard-sell" approach as soon as I walked in the door. I did not expect star treatment, but I did expect that if I had an appointment with a consultant, she'd be available to me throughout my visit. Everyone was very nice, but when I was sure I'd found "the dress", no one was around to help me with the next step. I realized the store was very busy, so I made a follow-up appointment. On my way home I decided to try another bridal shop and my experience there was much better, plus I found a dress of much better quality for the same price as the one I'd wanted at DB. read more

We had an appointment for my mother to get a dress for she is the mother of groom we walked in me and my fiance and my mother and were greeted by a rude lady and then she give us to a woman who seem not to care about us or what my mother wanted her name was Morgan. She only spent 5 minutes with us then told us that she has another appointment a bride and she was needed to help her and say she would be back to check on us well and haft hour goes by she never came over my fiance had to get her two time and she seem like she was very uninterested in my mother and us and she seem like she wanted to be with the bride who was there after we came in. Every time we we try to get Morgan attention she seem to be ignoring us and continued to focus on the bride I went up to the counter to ask for someone else to help us and the girl said that Morgan was our stylist and she was the only one able to help us but there were 6 other lady standing around doing NOTHING!! finally when we found the perfect dress that fit my mother Morgan again was nowhere to be found then she came out of nowhere and ask how were we doing we have been waiting over 1 hr to let her know that we found a dress. I was so frustrated in my opinion Morgan no sense of urgency or hospitality or customer service We had been to David's bridal before and have bad great service but this one lacs it all I would not recommend anyone to this location read more

Not happy with the service. I went in with some pictures of dresses I like and a budget of $600. They handed me a beautiful lace Oleg Cassini gown with a price tag of $1,400. It was beautiful but they sold me a dress totally wrong for my body! I'm practically a midget and they sold me a dress for an amazon woman and said it would be fine. It was almost a nightmare! Thankfully I found a good seamstress and she had to totally rebuilt the dress for me. Alterations cost $500! David's Bridal was very pushy about the sale. Said I had to get that one, it was perfect and that they only had one and would not get anymore. I shared my concerns about the dress being too long but they said alterations would take care of it. I learned their scam is to sell you a dress that needs lots of alterations so they can clean up on you there. Also learned that they do terrible alterations from other past brides and not to have them alter it. Oh and the several times I visited there again they still had my dress...LIES!!! All in all pushy sales tactics and flat out lies! They also sold me a very expensive slip that I couldn't wear, didn't fit and I didn't need and then refused to let me exchange it for store credit or anything other than another slip I couldn't use. Granted they have good prices but I suggest you take a seamstress with you or someone who knows about dress alterations. Protect yourself from their pushy sales techniques! read more

A very unpleasant experience. I made an appointment to look and try on bridesmaid dresses a month ahead of time. I looked at reviews which were less than stellar but still decided to keep my appointment. We arrived on time and there was a line at a hostess type stand at the front of the store. It took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Gazing around the store it looked like absolute mayhem. People everywhere. Finally someone asked for my name and appointment time. She told us someone would be with us shortly and that we could start pulling gowns to try on. We started to browse the aisles which were about as crowded as the grocery store before a big snow storm. There were brides, bridesmaids and high school girls looking for prom dresses. We stood around for a few minutes after we had pulled the dresses that interested us. Finally someone came and took the dresses off our hands to set up a dressing room. Moments later I saw and overheard the women who was assigned to help us asking the general manager what to do. The GM replied, "Well they have an appointment so just knock on doors and find a dressing room that's vacant." She didn't know to do that?!? Finally she comes back and says that she's got a room for us. She leads us through an obstacle course of people which included 5 high school girls congregated at the opening of the hall of dressing rooms. That's where her help ended. She didn't not check on us once. The dresses were boring, the experience was awful, the help was non existent. There was no where to sit, set your stuff down and there were no mirrors in the dressing rooms. After shuffling around the crowd we decided to leave without saying anything because after all no one had bothered to say anything to us. We ended up at Alfred Angelo which was ten times better. Dress choices were better, there was room to move, sit and we had one on one help with us the entire time. Don't waste your time at David's. read more

I'm so disappointed with my experience at this specific location. I've lost track of how many times I've had to reach out to corporate to report a complaint. As a bride, shopping for your wedding dress is a HUGE moment and the staff here makes it an unpleasant experience unfortunately. There are quite a few stories I could share, but to make a long story short, this place is a joke. The manager insinuated that I stole a necklace from the store, they threatened to send my dress back to the warehouse if it wasn't picked up by a certain date even though I was never made aware that the dress was in, when they gave me a date for alterations they guaranteed my dress would be done by my wedding date but come to find out it wouldn't have been done on time, and I was told by a sales associate that I could do an exchange on the shoes I bought from them if need be but when I went back to the store to exchange them I was told I couldn't. If the staff here actually knew what they were doing, this place probably wouldn't be so bad. The gown selection is amazing and reasonably priced. The one star I gave this place was because I did find my dream wedding dress there. But if you're looking for a place that's stress free and will take care of you, this isn't it. I really recommend that you try elsewhere before committing to this place like I did. read more

I had made an appointment roughly 3 weeks before my actual appointment to visit David's Bridal. I reserved online and stated that I would be shopping for 4 bridesmaids. The time slotted for my 4 bridesmaids was only an hour. David's Bridal even called the day before confirming my appointment and asking how many bridesmaid's would be attending. Speeding up to the actually appointment. I arranged this for a Saturday, because that's when all my bridesmaids could get together. We arrived to the place and it was packed. Packed to the point where you could barely turn around, let alone search for dresses. We were immediately assigned an associate, Cassandra, to help us. Cassandra took us through a crowd of people, to a chart of different styles of dresses to choose from. Once my girls selected their favorite we were taken to a double line of mirrored dressing rooms. We weren't given four dressing rooms for my four girls, but only one! We were told to wait for Cassandra to get us the dresses we selected. Also note there were no chairs. We waited about 5-10 minutes and Cassandra came back with a few dresses. Since the other dressing rooms were not occupied, we took it upon our selves to use them. Our sales associate did see this but said nothing, so we assumed it was acceptable. As my bridesmaids were trying on dresses, we barely seen Cassandra as she spent most of her time trying to get through a huge crowd of people to retrieve different sizes and styles that we were asking for. No fault to Cassandra, but she seemed new and should not have been given such a big party to work with. Towards the end of our appointment there was another sales associate who opened the dressing room door on one of my bridesmaids, as she was changing, and angrily closed the door, not shutting it. She then asked who our sales associate was and I told her. About five minutes later another woman shows up. I later find out she is the manager of the store (Rebecca). Rebecca scolds me and my party that they are in need of these dressing rooms because they are for other appointments. It was not a big deal for us to move as we were almost done but I asked her why they would only assign us to one dressing room, that could barely fit one person at a time, to a group of four. She defensively and sarcastically started to tell us how its David Bridal's policy and its busy season and yada yada. Her response was not understanding and made us even more upset at the whole situation. So now Rebecca walks away and we are ready to get out of there. My maid of honor and one other bridesmaid decided that they liked these two particular dress so we opt to order it, despite our dislike thus far at this store. Cassandra then states that she needs to see if she can even order it because it may not be in stock!! So low and behold, NOPE, my maid of honor's dress can not be ordered because it must be an "old dress". My other bridesmaid's dress was able to be ordered, and we only ordered it because she loved it. We couldn't get out of this store fast enough and we thoroughly disliked giving them any of our money. Once we left we ended up calling another bridal store, right down the street, and was given exceptional service. read more

When I checked in we were right on time (12pm appointment) and they told me it would be a few minutes for the associate to help me so I started looking around the store. 15 minutes later I went back up to the front as we had not yet been helped. They asked if I needed help and didn't even know I had checked in. The associate that I had assigned to me could not be less helpful. She asked what styles I liked, I told her and she gestured over to the rack and said "go pick out what you like and you can try them on". She did not want to help show me where the ones that I liked were. When we looked at the rack, the dresses looked cheap and there was not much too choose from at all. We picked 3 dresses off the rack because I felt obligated to try them on. Once I got to the dressing room (which were so tiny you could barely fit me and the dresses in them), the associate put the dresses on the hook and walked away. Most of the dresses I couldn't get on myself because they were so poofy and not once did she offer to help. Once I walked out of the dressing room, the associate was no where to be found most of the time and could care less with what I was wearing. She didn't offer her comments or feedback on any of the dresses and just took them back to the rack once I tried them on. Once I said we were leaving she said she'd add the dress I "liked" to my wishlist. This was a terrible experience and I don't plan on visiting David's again. read more

I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! DB was the first place I went to try on wedding dresses, and Jamie was my consultant. I had a large entourage and Jamie was extremely patient, understanding, and extremely attentative. She pulled dresses that I chose/liked, and based upon what I liked/didn't like pulled dresses she thought I'd like. She really made me feel at ease after the first dress I tried on was a total disaster. She *jacked* me up with a stunning veil and pretty belt that really made the whole look and feel pop on some of the dresses. Towards the end of the appointment she had another appointment on the other side of the store and still found the time to be there when I needed her. In the end I didn't end up buying my dress there (I did get the veil), but Jamie and the rest of the staff that I interacted with bent over backwards to help me (even after they found out I wasn't getting a dress there, just a veil) and really made my shopping experience wonderful. I visited the store in Allentown PA and was extremely disappointed. I have visited in the past and had a negative experience the first time but thought I would give them a second try...my mistake. I had a appointment which no one ever called me for (and I did check in for it). While I browsed. one sales person who knew my future daughter-in-law came over and put me in a dressing room with one dress. I received no help and my sales associate never came to find me for my appointment. We continued to look around but still we were invisible to the staff. The bathroom was out of order so I used the the employees rest room , wow what a dirty bathroom to let guest use in a bridal salon, or anywhere for that matter. What an awful overall experience. I don't expect to be treated like a queen while shopping but this was way below standards. I will not be returning and I would never suggest David's Bridal to my friends or family. read more

I scheduled an appointment to come in on a Wednesday night at 7 o'clock, 1 week in advance. It was my first time trying on dresses so my mom and I got there almost a half hour early to browse the store and my mom wanted to browse dresses for herself before my appointment. At 7 o'clock I asked the women at the front if they were ready for me and she said no, the other parties were running over their times and they had to accommodate them first. (What's the point of an appointment then?) It wasn't until 7:45 that they finally took my measurements and set me up with a dressing room. The consultant, knowing it was my first time doing this, told me to get undressed and she would bring me different dress styles in my size to my fitting room. I waited for 10 minutes, half naked, in the room when my mom knocked on the door and said the consultant never came back and she was going to go figure out what was happening. While my mom went to go look for assistance another consultant, I think her name was Joanie, came over to my room, laughed that I was waiting there half dressed, and said that I was supposed to go pick out my own dresses to try on. I told her that I was told to not pull any dresses and to wait in the room. Again, she laughed and mocked me and my mom for following the rules. She then said she was still busy with another client (even though it was well past there time) but she would pull a few dresses for me anyway. I put on, laced up, walked around, and undressed myself and the only acknowledgment I got from the consultant was to tell me that "This dress was made for you, it is perfect, you look amazing, I think this is the dress." About every single dress I tried even though they ranged from ball gowns to mermaid style. I felt like it was a sales pitch every time I walked out of the room. The consultant kept complaining about how late it was getting so I didn't even get my full 90 minutes because we started an hour late and I just felt unwanted. The experience was fun because my mom and I made it fun, especially as my first dress experience, but I will NEVER go back there again. They made me feel unimportant, rushed, and NOT like a bride should feel at her first dress fitting. read more
