We had such a great experience here while my sister looked for her wedding dress. The salesperson helping us (I think her name was Katie) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Not only was she helpful, but the floor manager and seamstress were also available to help and offer advice. My sister tried on at least 20 dresses, and never once were we made to feel rushed. There also was no pressure put on my sister to decide on a dress or to make a purchase right away. We were so pleasantly surprised with the variety of dresses David's offered, as well as the fun and relaxed atmosphere. We had a large party (10 people including my sister) and there weren't chairs for us, but none of us minded! We will definitely be back to Davids to purchase not only my sister's dress, but also my maid of honor dress and the mothers of the bride and groom's dresses. After ordering my bridesmaid dress, it didn't arrive by the expected arrival date so I called them to see if it was in. They said it was "lost". They said they couldn't locate another in my size so they would order a dress a size larger and have it rush shipped at no additional charge. When it came in and I got to the store the new dress was WAY too big and had a large rip. Then they told me the first dress wasn't lost, it was "severely damaged". Then I found out that although I called to get the hours when I could come to get the dress altered at no cost to me, they alterations Dept wasn't available until noon and of course I planned my entire day around taking time off from work to get the dress altered in the morning. I missed hours at work to make alterations possible and had to leave without alterations completed and the dress ripped. Rebecca, who I believe is the store manager, failed to tell me over the phone when I agreed to the dress one size larger that alterations would now take 4 weeks to rush having them completed, when the wedding is now three weeks out. Now I have to pay to have it professionally altered elsewhere. My least favorite thing in any person or business is being lied to, and Rebecca certainly lied to me flat out and by omission. I will never buy a dress there again, and I suggest you go elsewhere as well. read more

ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! Brides - be warned! I feel like I was backed into a corner. I visited this location recently and had a very bad experience. I bought a veil and headpiece but later decided it was not what I was looking for. I also intended to return to have a dress order canceled and refunded to my credit card. I took the items back to return, still in it's original packaging and tags attached (3 days after original purchase). I was told that I was 'not able to return as all sales were final and it was explained to me at the time of purchase'. This was not explained to me at the time of purchase or I would not have bought the items unless I was absolutely sure about them. I was also told it was also printed on the bottom of my receipt. I was not given my receipt until after my transaction was complete, making it impossible to be returned anyway. The host told me I could do store credit, but later when I opted for this, the manager recanted and said I would only be able to exchange for merchandise of equal or greater value. I have nothing left to purchase for my wedding and am now stuck with a veil and headpiece that I am no longer happy with or like. After receiving this information, I left the store without confirming the order cancellation. I returned 5 minutes later to continue with the cancellation, only to have the manager on duty say, "Too late, I already put it in for a mailed check. You'll get it in 4 weeks." The manager submitted this cancellation without confirming any of my information including contact and shipping address. This is unsatisfactory behavior on the manager's behalf and deliberately misleading for the consultant to not explain the return policy to me at the original time of purchase. read more

I had a alterations appointment for 5 and when I was taken back I had no direction to go and was told "put the dress on" and the lady walked away and then waited for 5 minutes after the dress was on. Then my appointment was interrupted by a sales associate 3 times because another bride was having "issues". I get that there are other people but that isn't fair that my appointment was being rushed and interrupted and what really made me mad was this other "bride" was told to wait for the lady doing MY alterations to make this other bride an appointment she was standing right in front of me watching what was going on and that's not okay at all. read more

I had bought a dress from David's in November and loved it when I tried it on in the store, however when it came in the correct size (since they pinned it, etc in store) it didnt even look like the same dress and didn't sit well on my body. I was disappointed and upset with my dress so I took it back to David's to see if they had any ideas of how to improve it and to look at new dresses. They were able to accommodate a last minute appointment and Tia, the manager, was so unbelievably helpful. She made the experience for me by being so reassuring and so positive. She was so supportive and helped find me a completely different dress I fell in love with. She offered suggestions and bent over backwards to help me! I was ready to give up with finding my dream dress and settle with something I was less than pleased with and Tia made my dream dress a reality. I am so unbelievably grateful to her! I would not be so happy and excited to be walking down the aisle if it weren't for her. She is the best and highly recommend working with her. read more

Three strikes! 1. A year ago my daughter was in my son's wedding. Went to David's as requested. They couldn't find the dress initially. Once they found it they took measurements and we ordered it. It should have been a red flag when they insisted on FULL PAYMENT when ORDERING and all sales are final! The dress came in two months later and of course it was the wrong size! They did exchange it and we had the new one in a week. So why did it take two months initially when they have them in a warehouse? Also, how could the size be wrong when we ordered what their stylist recommended from my daughter's measurements? 2. Two months later, my daughter is now getting married and we decided to give David's a second chance. We made the appointment and the stylist seemed extremely preoccupied. She did not listen to the styles that my daughter was interested in, and kept pulling dresses that were nothing like what my daughter described. For example, my daughter said she wanted a Greek goddess type dress, and the stylist pulled a Cinderella ballgown. We left very disappointed. However we did purchase a great dress that was exactly what she wanted from a place called Curvaceous Couture in Maryland. 3. Last week, was the last straw. One month away from the wedding and my daughter realizes she needs a veil. Unfortunately, she works six day weeks and only has Sundays off. We couldn't find any bridal shops open on Sundays. So for the last time I was forced to make an appointment at David's Bridal in Allentown. My appointment was made for 11-11:45 and I even got a call from a stylist named Anne confirming it. We showed up on time and were greeted with a line out the door because they were not open yet. When we got to the desk we were told to go in the back and begin looking at veils and someone would be with us in a moment. 45 minutes later, our appointment is now over and no one helped us! We selected our own veil alone. This isn't the bridal experience I had so hoped my daughter would have. David's Bridal, I will shout from the rooftops what awful service you provide! The only reason why I even set foot in your store is because you were open on a Sunday. Absolutely no other reason. You should be ashamed of yourselves, as this is one of the biggest days in a girl's life and you blew it. read more

Walked in without an appt and politely asked if it would be ok if my mother & I looked around. The woman at the front expressed sheer surprise and I once again asked if it was ok. She said she had appts coming in at 5...I said ok it's 4, I know exactly what I want and that seemed to calm her down. My mom asked one of the consultants if she was busy as she was on her cellphone to which she replied "I have a client coming in at 5" and walked away. The associates at this store are absolutely horrible. My mother and I went to try on bridesmaids dresses for a family members wedding who had already picked them out for us in advance. We were greeted by two unfriendly, rude and unhelpful women to check us in. We were told all of the dresses but two were considered wedding dresses and we were unable to try them on without an appointment so we walked away and decided to just look on our own. Half of the dresses we saw while walking around were already falling apart. For expensive dresses that are supposed to be worn on an important day, how do they look like that before even getting worn once?!?! I am an educated VP Director of sales for a large company. I recently visited this David's Bridal location in search of a new gown to wear to a corporate event. Upon entering the store I was not noticed at all however that didn't bother me because I prefer to shop on my own anyhow. I made my way towards the back of the store to find that there was a shoe sale going on! Being a shorter plus size gal I enjoy a good heel for work and especially for one of my many events! So I took the opportunity to get some really beautiful ones. Once I was clearly in need of some help an associate named Becca, came over and she assisted me with the many boxes of shoes I was purchasing. Then as I was trying my last pair on she asked me "What do you do for work where you need all these heels?!" It was a little insensitively said so I just acted as if I didn't hear it.. until then out of the blue she blurts out loud "ARE YOU A STRIPPER?!" In all my 40+ years of shopping I have never been so embarrassed and shocked! And this is to no offense to all the women out there who have that as a profession. However the comment came from an insensitive and mean spirited place. I hope no other woman has to experience and discomfort and judgement that I received that day for just taking advantage of a nice sale on some shoes. read more

If I could give a 0 I would! I'm VERY FRUSTRATED!!!! I ordered my dress in February and it was due to arrive March 26th. I understand that Covid-19 has made a mess of things, but it is unacceptable to tell me you will ship my dress and I will receive it before the wedding date if that's not going to happen. My best friend's wedding is tomorrow and I don't have a bridesmaid dress! I was told I would have my dress before the wedding date April 30th! I contacted David's bridal multiple times but was put through to an absolutely terrible automated system where I was told I would receive a tracking number and my dress would be shipped! I have yet to receive a tracking number! I don't know where my dress is, if it is still in warehouse or if it was shipped. No one can tell me where it is and now I fear my dress is lost and I paid for it! I'm not happy! Don't tell me you will give me a tracking number, don't tell me you are going to ship my dress if you aren't going to do any of these things. I want to talk to a human being not text someone 1-2 days later after I request to talk to someone about my situation!!!!!! read more

Horrible. The store is chaotic, products are cheap and look cheap. The staff was pushy. They tried to sell me shoes, veil and a purse before I even decided on a dress! Children running around everywhere, and the store layout makes no sense. I went with my sister to shop for bridal dresses. This was the first time that she went. She had some idea of what she wanted. We went on a Sunday and was there when the store first opened. The sales person we had did not take the time to listen to what my sitter had to say. When the sales person went to measure her she did it with her coat and purse on. The worst part about the whole experience is that close to the end of the appointment she stated that you are almost out of time. I think that was the last straw. My sister was so disappointed. We ended up looking around the store and found several more dresses that she would have liked to try on. We ended up going to another Davids location and had better luck. I would hope that the Whitehall location would do some customer service training. I feel that if the experience was better the location would not have lost out on 9 bridesmaids dresses. read more

I stopped by here on the evening of December 18th, 2015 just to get an idea of whether or not this would be a stop when I take my Mom and friends shopping for my dress. I was in there for about 20 minutes and no one else was there except 3 employees. Rude, nasty girls working there. For starters, no one approached me or said anything, one employee walked by me 3 times. I said "excuse me" and she just kept walking. Then, as I'm walking through their very limited selection I hear them talking about an employee all saying mean things about her (or him, I don't know). Then the one who looked in charge looks over at me and says "what is she even doing". I was so upset, that I wanted to cry, instead I just walked out. If it were possible I would give this negative stars. I told the greeter I'm a bridesmaid and I could hear the disappointment in her voice immediately. She looked like she didn't want to be there at all. The lady that helped me, Jodi, was less than interested in me being there. I tried on three dresses and was immediately disgusted with the "help" I was given. When I decided I was done trying dresses I was handed a magazine and got an apology that it wasn't working. Awful experience. I had an appointment but had to stand in the out the door line of walk-ins just to get in. Our consultant was not ready for us until 1/2 hour past our appointment time and was completely worthless. I had to choose my own dresses to try on (which is quite difficult when they are in plastic bags!) and she "wasn't sure" if they had any of the dresses that I had tagged online and not willing to look. I did try on 3 dresses but had to come out of the dressing room each time for help zipping, tying, etc. I was told to allot 2 hours for my appointment - I was in and out in less than an hour and will never set foot back in this store. I'm a low fuss type of person, so I didn't want to my wedding dress to be too extravagant. Also, I was on a bit of a tight budget. I was really disappointed with the service that we received at David's Bridal in Whitehall. My future son-in-law is in the military and had his orders changed. Our original wedding date was in October, however we moved it to late June because of his leave. We tried to return a gown that would not be worn for the wedding, and they refused any return. It is a shame that we had to pay for an $200 dress that would not be used. I was also disappointed in the service at David's Bridal. My daughter had picked out a veil that was white and not ivory. The attendant brought a much more expensive veil out with the right color, but wrong size and price. We did not see this until after the fact. As they will meticulously state that there are no returns. I would suggest that you rethink going to David's Bridal in Whitehall for your wedding needs. read more

Great customer service! Rebecca the manager helped me out of a pinch yesterday. When the bride was steaming our bridesmaid dresses two days before the wedding she noticed mine was missing a sash! I flew in from the west coast and the dress either did not come with it or somehow fell off when I picked it up at the California David's bridal. I did not even know it came with one. Searching for a solution I called the MacArthur road David's bridal closest to where I was staying and Rebecca was a lifesaver! She was so polite and understanding. She let me borrow a sample sash in the exact color and sized it from a 14 to a 4! Amazing! I was so grateful and pleasantly surprised with her care and customer service. Thank you so much! So let me start off by saying that I never wanted to be "that girl". You know, the one who bought a stock bridal gown from a chain bridal store? I had a vision in my head that I would wear a cute vintage dress that I could wear again and again and not spend a million dollars. Well being that I'm an adorable chubby lady that was not meant to be. I tried Modcloth, I tried here, I tried there, and no luck. So my girlfriend told me to suck it up and try David's Bridal. I figured "why not?" What's the worst that could happen? So I went one Saturday and begrudgingly tried on one dress. Yes one dress. Surprisingly I thought it was sweet, simple, and it made my apple shaped body look not so apple shaped. Here was the first problem. I tried on the size 16 in the store, hooray it fit! I wouldn't have to buy a tablecloth sized dress! The lady suggested I purchase a size 16W (that's 16 women's to all of you skinny minnies) so I didn't have that skin pooch around my bust. I thought that was a fabulous idea as it was strapless. I waited the allotted month, came in to try on my dress and guess what, it didn't fit! I freaked out! I knew I hadn't gained a ton of weight in one month as I'd been a size 16 since high school and I'm 36 years old. All the woman said to me was "Oh, well the floor models are often stretched out." WHAT THE HECK!?!?!? Why didn't you mention this the first time I was here???? So now I have to wait another month to get the new dress in size 18W (which I wasn't happy about since I was treading very near to a size I was not happy with). Well then I decided I wanted to get my dress ombred. I found someone in NYC to do it but they needed to make sure the fabric wasn't polyester. I called David's to find out the fabric and the woman on the phone asked me if it was the size 16 WIDE or 18 WIDE? EXCUSE ME?? WIDE? Don't you mean WOMAN'S? WIDE IS FOR SHOE SIZES NOT BRIDAL GOWNS!!! HOW OFFENSIVE! WHO TRAINED YOU??? Then she went on to tell me my gown was made out of mesh, I thought that sounded weird but I emailed the place in NYC and they said there was no way my dress was fully made out of mesh unless I was a prostitute basically. What the heck DB, why are you such a mess??? If I wasn't so against going through this process again I would cancel the dress and look somewhere else. read more

I went in for the first time and I met with Valerie C. I had a dress in mind but they didn't have it because it was a clearance dress. Listened to what I liked and didn't like and pointed us in the right direction. She actually picked out a dress that would of been the similar shape and fit to the one that I came in for and I didn't like it. I tried on a few different styles and ended up falling in love with a dress I would of never picked out in the beginning. I ended up having a say "YES" to the dress moment that I thought I wouldn't of had! I honestly was nervous about coming. Though this is "upselling", it was helpful to us. The only negative was the dressing rooms were very very small. The worst! I went to buy my wedding gown. Which okay I lucked out and found a beautiful dress on sale. Made an alterations appointment months in advance. Fast forward to today I lost some weight the dress was already two sizes too big. The women who did the alterations didn't say hello nor Introduced herself just old me to walk into this room in the back of the store and put my dress and shoes on.. alone. She disappeared, for at least ten mins. I was able to get dressed and put my shoes on and then I was able to walk out the room looking for this vanishing women. Then she comes back and says step up. She starts pinning no small talk. She gets done and I'm a little unsure. I said this is supposed to be tight, my dress is a mermaid. She gets all flustered with me saying I didn't have a good bra now did I have my slimming suit on. I did have a slip on that I bought the day I bought the dress. I said well I haven't gotten around to buying one yet. She goes well I'm just following your body so it's just going to be altered without it, I said well don't you have one for me to wear so you get a better idea? I'll buy one no one said anything the day I bought the dress. Later some lady whom looked like she was from the Adams family came out and said is "ladies name" I said who? I guess she never introduced herself. She said well she's the manager for this department, I said okay? Well she has terrible customer service. She got offended and walked away. Later I finally go to pay. $300 later. I will never shop at David's again. I didn't buy bridesmaids dresses there. They made my experience awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't have 2 appointments scheduled at the SAME time! We barely had any help from the girl working with us and she seemed annoyed that we were asking for dresses to try on. She wouldn't measure the girls by the dresses before she pulled them so she had them yelling out their sizes and some of my bridesmaids are not size 0s and they were embarrassed. One of the girls was unsure about her size so she just told her to guess. Very unprofessional! She didn't know that the one color dress I wanted was discontinued and we didn't find out until we were at the register. As we were trying on dresses, we had no guidance from her about other dresses we liked in similar styles. Overall, not a great experience. And after all the money we spent, after I had just bought my wedding dress there a few days before, they couldn't give us the $1 color swatches to use!! Like seriously???? read more

I recwntly went to davids bridal to get bridesmaid dresses, and the service was good, but my poor grandmother had to use the bathroom, and it was so utterly disgusting she refused to use it. The floor was so filthy and the sink and toilet was unbearable. It was so disgusting. It was so freaking filthy!!! My grandmother said, if i was tall enough, i would have peed in the trashcan!" I tried on a few gowns, and for the last one I asked Valeria to bring me anything, she knew my taste more then I did because she picked out my favorite dress of the day. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful.She was not pushy AT ALL, and did not make me feel like I had to buy something. She did not tell me silly stuff like the other stores did where they praise how something looks even though it obviously looks ridiculous. I loved this place. I came here last night for a prom dress appointment for my one friend. Luckily, they allowed myself and my other two friends to also try on dresses. Their selection is amazing, what I love is have they have multiple sizes of the same dress (up to size 22!) I wasn't even planning on buying my prom dress, but I found the one I love here! The sales associate Laura was so nice and helpful. She helped me by giving me all the information about the dress. I ended up purchasing it.
