I had the most wonderful experience today at David's Bridal in Westwood, MA. I was nervous and a little sad to be going alone, but my mom lives in NY and my bestie lives in Canada. However, these feelings quickly dissipated when Debbie assisted me with finding my dream dress. She found some beautiful dresses for me to try on and clearly has a skill for this as the first dress she handed me ended up being the one! She also matched the perfect veil and shoes to my dress. Debbie was so friendly, kind, and caring. After hearing how I was disappointed that my mom couldn't be there, she encouraged me to try my dream dress back on and video call my mom to include her. Once my mom was on the phone, she gave my mom a tour around my dress with close ups so she could get the full picture. Then, she handed me the bell so I could ring the bell with my mom on the phone to celebrate finding the one! Debbie not only made this experience more fun and comfortable than I had anticipated, but she truly went above and beyond. Thanks to Debbie, this day will be a day I remember and cherish forever! This was the worst experience that could possibly happen to my daughter. Two weeks before her wedding and she still did not have her dress thanks to their alterations department. Fitting after fitting they said they were making alterations that they were NOT making. Come to find out they made a mistake during the first alteration and did not admit to it then. Then they made unnecessary alterations making the dress worse. At the last visit they tried to give her another dress off of the store rack to start the alterations from scratch thinking I would be okay with a used, discolored dress. Needless to say, I went back the next day when I calmed down and took my daughter's original dress and walked out after letting management know what the alteration department was doing. It is now 11 days until my daughter's wedding and she is devastated. The image of being a princess has been crushed. She can no longer stand to look at the dress. What was supposed to be the most memorable day of her life will now be forever tarnished by this experience. I hope that no other bride ever has to experience the agony and defeat that my daughter has at the hands of the seamstresses of David's Bridal. read more

One week before my wedding, I urgently needed to find a new dress because I had a problem with the one I had already bought. I was anxious, nervous, and decided to go to David's Bridal because it was close to my house and had good options. At first, I was helped by two different people. One of them was quite attentive, even with the language barrier -- I made it clear that I didn't speak English fluently. Even so, she tried to assist me and brought me a few dresses, but none of them fit me well. I explained that I had a specific budget for this second dress since I had already purchased another one previously. What made me uncomfortable was the behavior of the person who came to help me zip up the dresses during the fitting. She seemed impatient and uninterested, and the way she walked away after the last fitting left me feeling like I was a bother. I'm not sure if it was because I don't speak English, because I was looking for a dress in a more affordable price range, or due to something personal she was dealing with -- but it was a very unpleasant experience. Everything changed when Teresa, who speaks Spanish, came to assist me. She was kind, warm, and truly helped me find exactly what I needed. With her help, I found two beautiful dresses, chose one, and took it home -- even though it was 4 or 5 sizes too big. I worked with an amazing seamstress who tailored it perfectly. The dress turned out beautiful, just as I had dreamed -- even though the alteration cost 150% more than the dress itself. I'm writing this review because I believe good service makes all the difference, especially during such important moments. I'm deeply grateful to Teresa for her attention and care. I also want to express my hope that other brides, especially those who don't speak English fluently, are welcomed with more empathy and respect by the entire team. read more

The workers here were very rude and unhelpful. One of the workers even rolled her eyes when we asked for help. No one would help us at the check out line even after multiple workers walked by and saw us waiting. We decided to just order the dress online after waiting 15 minutes and asking for help and still not receiving it. Definitely would not recommend shopping here. read more

I never write reviews -- this is my first one. I'm writing it so others don't get taken advantage of. I went to David's Bridal to buy a dress for a wedding, and it needed alterations. Majlinda was the one who handled the alterations. The only thing she seems to care about is getting you to agree to unnecessary alterations. The service was really unpleasant, no one wanted to help or answer questions I had. When I went back a few weeks later to try on the dress, it was tighter in the areas she supposedly didn't touch -- yet I was still charged for those alterations. Do not go there. You'll end up paying more for the alterations than you did for the dress. read more

Came in to just browse and and get a feel for some dress styles, but had no idea what I wanted. Met Sally and she was an absolute Angel so kind and so patient. She gave me space to walk around and browse the hundreds of dresses they had and oh my gosh it was so fun to be able to browse without any pressure! So many different price ranges too! I went to a boutique recently and had an absolutely terrible experience, but there was none of that here. Sally explained the differences in styles of dresses and what she thought would look best on me and why. She also was so fun to pick accessories with! The two hours I was there flew by and I said yes to the dress at the end! She helped me set up alterations and next steps and wow I was incredibly shocked by how much fun I had. Sally is an incredible person and so lovely to work with. I wish everyone was like her. She made my experience at David's Bridal so magical and stress free! I am not one to write a review but as a bride there's nothing worse than on a Sunday morning getting a phone call that your bridesmaid is getting pissed off with one of the sales women because she is simply ignoring and not listening to my bridesmaid about what I wanted my bridesmaids to wear. To make a long story short, Kathie was helping my sister with finding her dress for my wedding and my sister said the style and material doesn't matter as long as it's wine color and not satin. Kathie was ignoring this information, taking dresses away that my sister wanted to try on and didn't get a chance to try on, and kept telling her the material wouldn't photograph well and was bringing dresses that my sister did not want. I walked in and make it very clear I didn't care what the dress looked like, as long as it was wine and not a satin color, my bridesmaids could get whatever they wanted. And I emphasized the point if she likes the dress, is comfortable and it comes in wine she can get whatever she wants. Overall it was not a great experience and it's extremely frustrating as a bride to hear that your bridesmaid isn't being listened to on what SHE is wearing to the wearing and was being pushed to get dresses out of her price range and not what she wanted. This isn't the first time this has happened to my sister either. Not sure I'll return for any future needs. read more

I found my dress at David's a year ago and had a great experience! Unfortunately the alterations were another story. When I had my first alteration my dress was way too big which was my fault due to weight loss but by the second appointment it was starting to fit better. My third appointment was scheduled for mid May for my end of June wedding and was canceled by David's the day before and pushed to the second week of June. I asked for my appointment to be earlier and was told I "had time" which made me concerned since the dress was still too big. During my last appointment, I felt like the dress was too big but was told it fit like it was supposed to.. Fast forward to my wedding day where I weighed the same amount as my final fitting and had to be held into the dress with 10 safety pins since it was too big. In addition and my biggest complaint, my cup wasn't sewn in properly and was popping over my dress all night. I absolutely loved my dress but I wish I was giving the same attention when it came to alterations. I now have to get a big portion of my pictures edited to remove the alteration flaws. read more

I turned to David's Bridal to buy my best woman dress and groomsmen ties/pocket squares in matching colors. The website was glitchy at first but I managed to get my order in. It took a while to get delivered, and when it did I was horrified to see that the website glitches caused my order to go through 7 times for a total of 102 items, all of which I was charged for. The process I then had to go through to get them returned and refunded took approximately 4 months of weekly chats/calls with the company, terrible customer service, and limited options for communication. I got refunded for each individual item with a fee deducted from each one - I had to make an entire spreadsheet to keep track of each order, item, and cost to make sure I was refunded for them all. I want to first start off by saying, i never leave reviews but the past two experinces i had at this Davids Bridal was awful. My best friend, her family and myself made an appt to try on dresses for her big day. Where we were greeted and put in a room the stylist basically threw her 2 dresses, put her in a room and we never saw her again. Fast forward one week later, it was my turn. Super excited to try on dresses as i was having anxiety over not being able to find "the one." Made an appt, we walked in, a lady at the far desk, said hello. I made her aware that we had an appt. She proceeded to rudely say, "sit right here, someone will be with your shortly," mind you there were two other customers in the whole store. We sat there for 20 minutes, many employees walked past us several times without even acknowledging us. Needless to say, we left after 25 minutes. People go to Davids Bridal for the experience as nowadays you can order stunning dresses online for way cheaper. I will NEVER go this place again, and feel sorry for brides who do go and get treated this way as it can ruin their whole experience. read more

Another bride, another bout of dress shopping! She had two colors in mind and 6 dress styles, so it sounded like it would be easy peasy. But not so much... 1) David's Bridal does not carry your dress in your preferred color in your size (necessarily) for you to try on. So you may need to use some clips and some imagination (or to leave the dress incompletely zipped). I guess I forgot this experience from my past visits. 2) If your dress in your color and size isn't in-stock and ready to ship, be prepared to wait 2 months and 3 weeks to 3 months and 3 weeks for delivery. If they do have it in stock, with the Standard Shipping Delivery, it can be 4-10 Business days. 3) Oddly enough, some of their dresses, when they are not in stock, are marked "Non-Returnable/Exchangeable Item." Talk about kicking you while you are down. The visit itself was okay. We had our appointment, and were given two rooms for our two bridesmaids. We went over our alotted hour, but were not rushed or encouraged out since it was a relatively quiet afternoon in the dressing room that day. Tip: wear (bring) a strapless bra to better try on dresses of various styles. Heels are nice, but not as necessary. *** Silly me, I never noticed that they had additional dresses in their repertoire beyond the chiffon and mesh and satin of the Bridesmaid tab of their website. But fortunately, our bride did, for there we found our dress(es)! ** Note: if you buy online, you may not return at a store, and your opportunity to return is relatively short. You must initiate your return (RMA) within 14 days of receiving your order, then the returned package must be received by David's Bridal within 14 days of the creation of said shipping label. First of all, when I had purchased and ordered my dress, I tried on a size 20 which was bigger than I needed. When I was talking to my stylist Theresa, she said a 16 would fit best. I said that I would prefer an 18 and was worried the 16 would be too small but she adamantly was telling me that a 16 was perfect and the 18 would be a mistake. Her also working in alterations made me feel like I should trust her, but looking back this makes me realize they were just trying to get more money out of me. When I went to check out, the other employee said that since my wedding is in May, they can delay the delivery of the dress and that it would arrive in February. I verbally confirmed multiple times when the dress would ARRIVE. However, I got a text in July saying it had arrived and when i spoke with customer service they offered no help and said it was too bad but I had 2 weeks to pick it up. I currently did not have a safe place to store it so I had to scramble to find one to pick it up in time. When I arrived to pick it up, I was met with rude employees who continuously called me by the wrong name and by my last name. The employee who went to get my dress tried to convince me that I had my veil and tried to send me home without it and without me trying my dress on. When I tried it on, another very friendly stylist struggled to clasp the dress. When I asked her if she thought it was the right size she said -It seemed like the clasps were sewn in the wrong place -I could always have it taken out The dress was tight and even when i said, I was told it would have to be altered and could not be returned. Even though I was pushed to order a different size and someone else believes the dress was made incorrectly I'm now being asked to spend EVEN MORE MONEY to fix someone else's mistakes? I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with this whole experience. I didn't listen to anyone's warnings about David's Bridal but I wish I had. read more

Huge location! Thanks for Doreen for helping me and my bridesmaids finish the dress shopping. Earlier in January time was ticking down and I made an appointment here to get the remainder of the bridesmaid dresses in coral reef. Doreen was extremely friendly and very helpful. We already knew what styles and color we needed so the girls tried on the sizes they wanted and the styles they were considering. The bridal consultant pulled all the necessary styles amidst the weekend chaos. I love the fitting room area in the Westwood location! It definitely seems much bigger than the Natick location we visited with better lighting. David's Bridal is not known for having the best return policy and both of my bridesmaids did not live particularly close to this location so the manager was very sweet and offered to ship it to them for FREE. Of course both of them spent over $100 so maybe that was the minimum cost since that's the constant promotion on the website too. Also the manager was nice enough to tell us that the average price estimated for a regular hem would be around $60 alone. She did not try to push this service on us. It seems like the rest of the estimates for alterations are proprietary and they were not willing to divulge. My bridesmaids ended up finding other local tailors to perform the alterations. Later on my FMIL also shopped here for a special occasion dress, but they didn't have a huge selection that was affordable. She tried on 13 dresses and ended up purchasing a couple but ended up choosing a dress from another shop for the actual wedding. I made an appointment for 3pm on a Saturday. When we arrived, it was very busy but we checked in and the woman at the front desk said I was all set and my stylist would be with us shortly. She told me to look around and pick out a few dresses I liked. We walked around and after 20 minutes, our stylist still did not come out. I asked the front desk again and she said, she will be with you shortly and I should pick out 3-5 dresses and take pictures of them. So, I did that. Another 10 minutes go by and I hear them call "Allison"... assuming it was me, we approached but it was for another woman named Allison. So, I went again to the front desk and said "Hi, just checking in because there is another woman with the same name so I just want to make sure there is no confusion..." The front desk girl said "Nope - we know... that Allison is with this stylist and you are with another..." Finally, around 3:30 the girl from the front desk found me and said she was going to pull some dresses for me to get them prepped for the stylist. She asked me my size... Why did I fill out the questionnaire online? Shouldn't they know my information and what I am looking for? She was very nice but forgetful about which dresses I pointed out... we asked her questions in regard to colors/adjustments to certain dresses and she admitted she doesn't work in bridal so could not answer our questions. After she pulled the dresses I liked, she put me in a dressing room. Then comes Sally... she introduced herself and said she was going to be my stylist. She put the first dress in the room and just told me to put it on and she'd be back. The first dress I tried on was admittedly my dream dress but they pulled a size 22 (I am a size 12). I was so big I couldn't even get a vision of what it would actually look like on me. When I came out, Sally did pin it all together so I got a slightly better view but it was super awkward. She then asked if I wanted a veil... I told her "no". She proceeded to mock me and told me I would look back at pictures of my wedding day and regret not wearing a veil. Then she proceeded to take a veil and put it on me after I already told her no. I tried on a few other dresses and they fine but either way too big or way too small (anything from a size 4-22 was pulled for me). I know these are sample sizes and didn't expect them to fit perfectly but at least be in the ballpark of my size. I started becoming frustrated because Sally was never there... she was helping 2 other people try on prom dresses. She would only come help me zip up and that's it. She then started to compare me to her daughter basically saying I had no personality. She then began pulling dresses for me that were just not what I was looking for. When she actually pulled my size she refused to button it all the way because it was "too small".... even when I told her I'd rather feel "sucked in" on my wedding day. Another woman stepped in last minute and basically pulled dresses I was not interested in. Perhaps if Sally or someone else was pulling other items towards the beginning of the appointment I may have had more patience and felt supported. Sally then basically made me feel bad for making an appointment on Saturday saying "we are always this busy... you should come back during a week day." Why did I make an appointment then? Shouldn't those be honored? I work full time and coming during the week is not an option for me. Over all this was a terrible experience. read more

I can't say enough great things about this davids bridal location!! Vicky, the manager, was the most helpful, enthusiastic person I've ever met. I don't think I've ever had such a positive retail experience. After buying a bridesmaid dress online for a wedding that was canceled due to covid, I went to try it on for the postponed date and unfortunately I had ordered a size too small! I called a few different stores to review options and every store said that there was not enough fabric for alterations and that it was outside the return/exchange window (even though it had only been tried on and never worn). When I called this location they told me to bring the dress in and they'd "work something out". I was skeptical but this was the most positive response I had gotten. Upon arriving to the alteration department, I was greeted by Vicki who was awesome. She viewed the dress on me, knew there wasn't enough fabric to alter and immediate got on the phone with corporate headquarters to figure something out. She went above and beyond in advocating for me and was able to return the dress (even though it was past the exchange/return timeframe) and order a new one as a rush order (with a coupon she found online so the price was almost exactly what I found for the original!). She squeezed me in for a quick alteration appointment as soon as the dress arrives so it will be done 2 weeks before the wedding! I went from totally lost and nervous about my options to comfortable and so incredibly pleasantly surprised by my experience. I will gladly continue driving an hour out of my way for this epic service. Cannot recommend them enough!! read more

As a newly engaged woman excited to find her dream dress, I was disappointed and astonished with how I was treated this past weekend at my scheduled 60 minute appointment. When I first walked in, the man who greeted me at the front desk audibly laughed when I told him I was still determining my wedding date. When I asked if there was anything wrong with that, he could not provide a reason for laughing and simply said "sorry". When I was finally placed with my stylist, she look unamused to see me and genuinely bothered. She did not help me navigate the store or look around to find any dresses or styles that I enjoyed, and only grabbed the one dress I showed her at the beginning of the appointment. When she asked me my wedding date and I informed her that we were still determining it, she gasped and would not stop questioning me why I was even out dress shopping. Not that it is any of the company's business, but I am doing these things early and in advance because I will be relocating and won't be able to have this opportunity with certain family members after relocating. While I was being set up in my dressing room, my stylist proceeded to ask me what my fiancé and I plan to do for careers. I informed her I wanted to go into sales and that my fiancé graduated with a major in biotechnology and to summarize, wants to cure cancer. She told me that they will never cure cancer and they should focus on other areas. She even joked " he should cure the common cold first before trying to cure that". To make the entire experience even better (just kidding, it never gets better), while in and out of my changing room during the process of trying on the dress, my stylist is only speaking about her divorce and her husband and not once even batting an eye at me while I had my dress on. She is speaking to my mom, the only individual I brought with me to make the day special, about divorces and her divorce and never gave me the chance to enjoy that moment with my mom. I walked out of my appointment 38 mins into it. I went home crying and truly not even wanting to try on dresses again in fear of running into another situation like the one I ran into Saturday. I cannot express enough how horrible my experience was trying on wedding dresses and being at David' Bridal. I would NOT EVER recommend this place to any newly engaged couple or anyone seeking anything from here. They should be embarrassed with how their staff treated myself and my mother the other day and I pray nobody else has to go through that treatment. read more

I visited the store last weekend and was in a dressing room to try on a top and a saleswoman opened the door as I was topless and proceeded to yell at me in front of MANY people (male and female) that I shouldn't be in that dressing room - even though a worker told me to go in. She left the door open as I was standing there covering myself and just kept yelling. I had to shut the door myself and when I came out she STILL continued to yell at me and follow me around the store. The store manager was nice and apologetic but told me I would be receiving a call from the regional manager but NO CALL has come. My wedding is scheduled for June and at first my dress was scheduled to come in too close to the date. However, Jodi and Vicky went out their way, making some phone calls to find a way to get the dress here earlier than expected. They were so reassuring and supportive during a situation that could be quite stressful. I booked my appointment one month out for my 3 bridesmaids. There was a total of 6 us. (3 bridesmaids, myself and MOB +MOG). Deborah was our appointed sales associate. My bridesmaids went through the racks & found a couple of options. Deborah was no where to be found when we needed her, walked right through us in the fitting area to help another party (they were right next to us). Meanwhile I am clipping my bridesmaids, one of my bridesmaids is looking for alternative sizes for the other bridesmaids, I had questions regarding materials and still no assistance from Deborah. There is no reason why we should be acting as our own sales associates during our appointment. My mother and bridesmaid went to the front to complain about lack of assistance. With only 10 minutes left to our appointment only 1 out of 3 of my bridesmaids were able to find a dress. It struck me, I took a look around the fitting room, all the white women and girls were being attended to by their designated associates and even Deborah. Literally all the other sales associates were juggling their groups but still super attentive. Meanwhile my party, Which consisted of women of color were not getting the same level of assistance. It was blatant and visible. Lana the manager came by and apologized to me and then designated another sales associate to us. I explained I did not want Deborah to get any commission off of my group considering she was zero help to us. Destiny was then appointed to us and she swiftly and quickly got us various options, offered her opinion and really worked with my 2 bridesmaids. Who then became fully satisfied and found their dresses. A note to David's bridal corporate along with the Westwood location: please provide diversity and inclusion training to your sales associates. Help them understand that empathy goes a long way. And time management with in your daily Clients is necessary. Destiny - thank you again you were amazing. I greatly appreciated your assistance. I went to David's Bridal to find my bridesmaids' dresses. We all fell in love with the signature collection, and went with the gold! After the bridesmaids chose the styles they wanted, the woman helping us asked what sizes they were. She NEVER MEASURED ANY OF THE BRIDESMAIDS to get approximate measurements. When checking out, another worker gave estimates for when each dress would be ready. All of the dresses were ready much earlier than the approximate date in which the bridesmaids were told. However, none of them were made aware when the dresses came in. One of the bridesmaids received a rude voicemail, that her dress has been ready for pick up for so long and they won't hold it any longer. The bridesmaids provided David's Bridal with their phone numbers, yet they never got a text or email about their dresses arriving. It doesn't make sense for a customer to be calling the shop over and over again to see if their dress is ready - but that's what was expected, apparently. One of the workers also claimed to my matron of honor that she tried calling me. I didn't receive a single phone call from them. David's Bridal seriously needs to step it up when it comes to customer service. Communication is key! read more

With the rise of the popular bridal boutique shows on TV, it's easy to overlook a chain like David's Bridal. However, they had every style that I had even dreamed of trying on and their sales associates are well trained to work with folks who aren't able to articulate their feelings and decisions. To follow a wedding planning cliche, I walked in with one idea of what I wanted and walked away with a completely different dream wedding dress. I made an appointment to look for dresses for my bridemaids. When we showed up, there were a lot of people there as if they doubled booked wedding parties and a lot of people without masks. Not a comfortable place to be in this day and age. We were assigned Sally as our stylist. She basically waves us to where the dresses were and told us to pick what we like and we can go try them on and she will be back. She barely asked the ladies any questions about style they were looking for, price range or be there to help them zip, unzip, pick a different one. Each time we needed her, we had to look around or wait on her. Very frustrating. It appears that she was dou le booked and was helping more than one waiting party. If you tell me that I have 1 hour with a stylist, I expect this stylist to.be all about me. Help me find the dresses that I need, color, sizes etc. It was a fight to get Sally to do anything that we needed or wanted. The main reason I chose David's Bridal is because it is a chain and I have folks in the wedding party who are out of state. I didn't think we would get such bad service though. I was very disappointed. Reason for the two stars is because my bridemaids did finally find a dress and the first thing Sally said was that she couldn't order it. I was in need of a dress for my sons wedding 4 weeks away so I thought David's bridal was a reputable business. I ordered my dress may 7th the women told me it would be in between the 9-17 th I heard nothing from the I have just over 2 weeks to get a dress for my sons wedding so I went looking for a dress just in case I didn't get it. it was getting close & they also said if I needed any Tailoring they could not do it because they were already booked for the month !( they took my measurements????? )when I did finally get the dress (12 days after ordering it ,it didn't even fit ! Now David's bridal will not let me return the dress for the money I paid for it ? Only exchange? It never left the store and I can't return it ??? This is definitely POOR BUSINESS ETIQUETTE. The greeting for any potential customer should not be, "Hi, Do you have an appointment?" followed by "Ok well you won't be able to try anything on, so do you want to come back tomorrow?" Here is my suggestion for how to appropriately greet customers: "Hi, how are you, welcome to David's Bridal, what are you looking for today?" "Ok great, our prom dress selection is to the right... the dressing rooms are a bit busy today with our appointments, but you should browse and if you find anything you really want to try on... we can set up an appointment with you for a day that is convenient." Customers walk through your door excited to look at dresses... brides, bridesmaids, teenagers going to their first prom, etc. You have the benefit of being in a business that is mostly about joy and beauty, so train your employees to greet in a way that doesn't kill that vibe within 30 seconds of arriving at your store. read more

My sister set up an appointment last week for 12:30 pm today, after the snow storm. They were kind enough to call us and move the appointment an hour later as they were opening late. We were there for about 90 minutes and found exactly what my sister was looking for. They had a huge selection of larger sizes and a super nice selection of long veils. We were helped by Brandi who was pleasant and easy to work with. She was there when we needed her without being overbearing or pushy. She had picked out what my sister had asked for beforehand; tea length with sleeves. We left with a dress on clearance for $450 minus $100 for a flash sale and the veil she was obsessed with buying for a little under $200. She didn't get the gold glitter heels which I would regret if I were her. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR ALTERATIONS DONE HERE! TRUST ME. Find a seamstress. They will be cheaper and treat you the way you deserve. Wanted to make sure that I updated my review after customer service had reached out about my friend's experience during her first fitting.... I included the email I sent to customer service on 4/20 below, from which I got NO RESPONSE. My friend had her final fitting yesterday and when I spoke to a manager at the end of the appointment, the manager said that customer service never made the store aware of my complaint. Clearly the behavior by the alterations department was not an issue for customer service. I'm actually appalled by the "service" provided at this store. I requested the manager do something to make this situation right. I suggested refunding her for her alterations and the garment bag they charged her for yesterday; $10. Not sure why this wasn't included. I've never heard of a place charging for this. The manager I spoke to was Nadine, who was very nice and said she would reach out to customer service. Hopefully something happens. Of note, I requested that customer service go through me to rectify this situation. My friend never wants to speak to them again. Justifiably so. Hopefully they will respect her wishes. A woman named Jill K replied on yelp and gave me this contact e-mail in case I wanted to speak with someone. Every bride deserves a special experience when wearing their wedding dress. She was having her first fitting and I think you should know why she needed to have a good experience that day... Erin's mother passed away 2 weeks prior due to a long battle with cancer, and her closest family lives in Pennsylvania. She was going to go to her fitting alone because she didn't want to inconvenience anyone by asking them to join her. As her friends, we wanted to be with her for her fitting and ensure she had fun. Her mother was with her the last time she had that dress on and we hoped her fitting, if only for a short time, could make her feel happiness and joy as well as a connection with her mother. Her appointment was the opposite of what she needed, and even more importantly, what she deserved. I hope the service that was provided that day doesn't happen to another bride, or again to my friend when she returns for her second fitting. When she walked out of the store she just stood there and couldn't say a word. She was genuinely stunned. She said she wished she could just take her dress somewhere else because she didn't want to go through that again. I know that given her current emotional state, she isn't up for or interested in experiencing a fitting again, but she knows she has to, and her wedding is rapidly approaching. I hope your location finds a way to make this situation right. The least that could be done is a refund for the full cost of her alterations. Only speaking with staff to fix this type of service will never give my friend back what that experience should have been like for Erin. She is clearly not going to look forward to going back for her second fitting, so I hope that staff treat her with extra care. read more

I cannot say enough great things about the employees at this David's Bridal location. When shopping for a bridal outfit, the staff worked tirelessly to not only mix/match two dresses so that my friend (the bride-to-be) could see what her fit would be for a pantsuit that they did not carry in stock. The manager then expedited the shipping to ensure it would arrive on time. The entire checkout process was smooth and we left feeling not only accomplished for finding "THE DRESS [JUMPSUIT]", but enjoying our time! A few weeks later we went for the alterations and met the wonderful Ana Maria. This woman is a gem! Her calm demeanor when it came to a tricky alteration, on point sense of humor and openness to our ideas was amazing. Celeste, the Alterations Manager then made sure that the Bride would have her suit back in plenty of time before the BIG DAY. They both went ABOVE AND BEYOND! Lastly, I want to shout out one of the employees in particular who made it a point to stop by the alterations room and share their expertise for the bride(s). They had recenrly planned a wedding and as a queer person, it was nice to be able to get perspective on style and how to approach outfits when it comes to having two brides (we don't their outfits to match!). It was refreshing to see a company welcome LGBTQI+ members of the community and treat same-sex couples with the same attention and respect for their special day. You don't see that in many places. The entire staff was welcoming and we would definitely welcome any queer couples to visit the Westwood, MA location in particular. It would be amazing to see David's Bridal offer a larger selection of pantsuits, jumpsuits, and queer-friendly styles in their stores. I would strongly suggest that this particular employee be nominated to spearhead that project for the company within her store! They have exceptional leadership qualities and it would bring a lot of clients to your location from the community. I know when it is time for my big day---I will be visiting this location---even though I live far away. It's worth the drive!
