Anita, the owner of Bridal Reflections, is amazingly helpful and sweet. She runs her business out of her home (above a dentists office), so don't be thrown off when you get there. The bride to be had a specific gown in mind for me to wear and Anita found it immediately, and then spoke on the phone to another bridesmaid who lives in North Carolina to order the same dress for her. The prices were much less than other bridal stores. She passes on the discount she gets from having a home based business straight to you. I paid a deposit using my credit card. After calling at least 4 other places in the area, I spoke with Anita of Bridal Reflections. BR is Anita's business that she runs from her home in Watertown (she also has a place in Belmont where she shows dresses I believe). Seemed semi-strange at first, but we're all trying to make a buck these days and I'd heard good things, so I went ahead and bought it with Anita. She gave me the sweetest price too. Probably about $40-60 less than her competitors (and she told me prices without sounding exasperated). I don't know remember if I told her about my lack of funds or if she could sense my desperation, but she told me I could pay for half of it now and then pay for the rest when the dress arrived. Amazing. Seriously amazing for those of you who know about my 3 apartment debacle from this summer. Fast forward to a little over a month later and the dress arrived early! Anita came to the rescue again. When she found out I was having issues getting down to Watertown and that I would be taking a bus, she wouldn't have it. She took my credit info over the phone, charged me the balance, and shipped the dress that day. I received it by the end of the next business day! I tried on all of my favorites, and also quite a few of her recommendations in similar styles. I loved so many of the dresses I tried on, I'd say their collection is trendier than a lot of other places I visited, but still has some classic styles mixed in. While my other appointments were pretty hit or miss, basically everything I tried on here was high quality and so beautiful. The store itself is really pretty too, it feels super high-end and relaxing at the same time. There's a private room with a changing area for the bride and seating for guests, and it seems like they only do one shopping appointment and one dress pick-up appointment at a time, so it's really private. A couple of things that I wish could be improved - When I first commissioned her we agreed on one price and then she called the next week to say she underestimated the work and it would cost $50 more, but that she felt badly since it was her mistake so could we just split it down the middle. We had a few appointments and I had a couple of plans with family and friends as well in a short time. This must vary based on who you get so YMMV but my experience was incredibly frustrating and a nightmare. Negative customer science and I cannot recommend this place as it seems the issues extend beyond the reported seamstress issues. Come if you like to be hot, thirsty, and frustrated while shopping for something that will cost a couple thousand dollars. *** My friend made a few different appointments for me. Some sort of glitch must have happened but only for this shop and none of the other shops. The appointment booked in PT time zone not ET and because it's in Boston... we all only looked at the confirmation and reminder that said 11am. My friend had noticed the time of 11am but that it seemed like the store opened at noon the night before so it was too late to call to check so we got up early after a late night to head over since it was almost an hour away and I'm definitely not a morning person on a weekend. Of course, we get there and it's closed and I call the number on the front door sign and leave a voicemail. We go on a side quest and come back half an hour late hoping to catch someone and stay for awhile before leaving. No luck. We head off for lunch with a friend and I call again around 1230 to figure out what's going on. Voicemail. A bit later they call back and say got your voicemail and don't know but you're not in our book at all for today and the tone was pointed. What? At this point, I'm incredibly frustrated. No apologies to say hey clearly there is a glitch but let's figure it out. Instead, a terse we don't have you in our book at all. Awkward pause. Do you still want to come? Internally, no but I am in need of a dress so I ask what times are available. It was like pulling teeth. She seemed so annoyed and asked me what time I want to come. We eventually schedule an appointment but I already had a bad taste. I drive back an hour from another commitment and arrive a few minutes late. She doesn't even greet me initially. My friend is there and greets me and catches me up that she's been looking at dresses for me to help get me started. She's great. I don't want to be here at this point especially since it felt as if our person was also standoffish. She finally introduces herself but throughout the visit I cannot help but compare her with the other employee helping another bride's mother. The other woman was friendly, encouraging, and had a few suggestions. My experience did not feel friendly. She helped me in and out of a few dresses but did not seem to understand what I was looking for. I didn't find too many things of interest but don't really hold inventory against stores because it can be pretty variable and unpredictable as to what comes in and what gets scooped up by others. During this process though, another bride comes in. She tries dresses on and was directed to stand on podium we were using so I was standing there waiting while I'm not sure what our person was doing. Did they overbook? In any case, the other woman noticed and offers the other bride's podium for us to see how the dress looks. Our person later suggests I can look through what's on the rack so I start flipping through. At this point, she decides to try to engage me in the time issue. I haven't even raised this with her because I'm just trying to sort out my existing frustration that's been further amplified because the place is hot with no air flow. I'm thirsty, tired, and frustrated. She now states that the time issue wasn't on their side as they had us down for a different time. Wtf. Earlier she told us we weren't even in the book. We figure out the time zone issue and she even says I'm not trying to argue with you but it's not on our side. Lol. I've had enough at this point so I say I don't think it's worth is discussing this at this point. I then stop flipping through the dresses and look at my friend and we leave. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be fun. You're supposed to feel excited and supported not attacked. It's pointless trying to argue with someone who is not trying to solve something with you but trying to blame you. How hard would it have been to say hey clearly something went wrong and let's figure it out together? Anyways, terrible experience. Never coming back. Not recommended. Have been to 4 other places and they were all pleasant to visit even with varying levels of hospitality. Tulle is a place that does it right. I also liked Marry and Tux. They all reached out ahead of time to personally confirm the appointment, ask about vision to start brainstorming on dress matches, and were super friendly. These other places also felt cleaner and nicer.

Her bridal consultant (Ashley?) walked her through the racks pulling out dresses she thought might work, and listening closely to my daughter's likes and dislikes. She did focus mainly on "bridal" options, but my daughter also picked out a few from the less formal "reception" collection that were viable choices. We liked the wide price ranges to pick from to try on, but we're a bit disappointed that there were more polyester and fewer silk dresses in the mix. We (me, mother of the bride and the maid of honor/sister of the bride) appreciated the offer of prosecco at 10:30am! Vows is a great resource for brides who want a high-quality, well-made gown, with pleasant, helpful service, at a good price. No, it's not particularly cheap, although there are plenty of gowns under $1000. It's not David's Bridal, nor should it be. We already have that for anyone who is interested. Before you go, take a look at the bridepower website to see what types of dresses you might be interested in, and if you don't see them when you get to the store, ASK. Lesley helped me, and all of the dresses I wanted to try in were stored off the sales floor. I'm a street size 4 (why is it different?) so I can't comment on the selections of larger gowns but you must keep in mind these are samples, and NO, they've not been tried on by five brides a day! All of the gowns I saw were in excellent condition. I could have gone to a high-end Newbury street salon, and I DID visit a couple but the reception was so cold, and I felt as if they salespeople thought they were doing me a favor. Sorry, they're not. I like to do my own research and take my time in a store, rather than having someone make selections for me; I know what looks good on my body. Yes, the dress is just for one day, but I wanted it to be FABULOUS. And it is. I found a wonderful Lazaro beaded gown, lined with silk charmeuse, exactly the size I needed, at 50% off retail. Bonus: If you buy a gown at Vows you receive 15% off accessories, and I was happy to be REMINDED of that offer by another salesperson when I returned with a bridesmaid to look for a belt for her dress. Guess what? On my second visit, everyone was just as pleasant and helpful as the first time, even though we needed to walk out with the belt that day (accessories must be ordered 6-8 weeks in advance unless they are in stock). Another bonus: Anahit, the seamstress. She can do almost anything, and she is helpful with advice on accessories, length of dress, fit, undergarments (!), and is very reasonably priced as well as pleasant and accommodating. I'd tell anyone to shop at Vows first, regardless of budget. The service and quality are great - why pay more than you need to? read more

Story time: A year before my wedding, I found myself surrounded by my family due to a sad event. It seemed like the right time to buy my wedding dress, with all of us together mourning, yet looking toward the happy times in the future... but it wasn't. As I got closer to my wedding date, I realized that the David's Bridal dress I had purchased was unflattering on my now-slightly-slimmer frame and that, in fact, I hated it. I was in a bit of a pickle because most boutiques need to order a wedding dress several months in advance and I was absolutely not returning to David's Bridal. A week and a half before my wedding, I made an appointment at Vows. Review time: Vows was the perfect place to get a wedding dress in a hurry because everything is sold off the rack. Due to my daytime availability, I was able to make an appointment on the same day I called. I am considered "plus-size" in wedding dress land (which is basically a street size 10 or higher), so I couldn't use the main racks, separated by silhouette, but there were a bunch of racks just for people like me. I found Vows to have a great selection of styles and found a bunch of dresses in my size. I knew exactly what I wanted style-wise and I was still able to find probably seven or eight dresses that fit that image. In the end, I found something perfect. There was a range of prices to be found, but I think most dresses fell in the $1000-1500 range so finding something under that would require a bit of luck. The sales associate I worked with wasn't overly cheery, but she was helpful in hanging, buttoning, and generally assessing the dresses I tried. She gave helpful impartial comments like, "This is a more romantic style," rather than preferences, which after all, was really my job. She also took pictures of me in the dresses I liked, since I wasn't surrounded by family this time, and helped me arrange a tailor to alter that dress the same day. Vows ended up being the perfect place for me to find my wedding dress and seems like it is certainly worth a look for almost any bride. read more

As someone who had been to another bridal shop before, leaving without the best experience, I was feeling a bit worried that it would be more difficult than I thought to find my dress. I had heard many recommendations via word of mouth and seen plenty The Knot reviews about Vow to know I needed to make an appointment, which I did on a weeknightto avoid the hustle of busy weekend appointments. I had to reschedule my appointment twice because of a family emergency and Olivia, the manager, was so kind and thoughtful about making sure I was comfortable knowing that whenever I came in, I would be attended to and I would find a dress with plenty of advance time before our wedding. Katie, my consultant, and Olivia made the entire experience so lovely. They allowed my entire group of guests and I to browse the racks, while they grabbed everything from my wish list they asked me to bring, and confirmed it was a fit. They even allowed me to grab some options that weren't initially on my list. It felt like MY experience. Ultimately, trying on dresses with Katie was so seamless. She made me feel so comfortable by being validating and also open to sharing her opinion in a professional manner, direct and confident, but not pushy in any way. When I was confident I found the one, Katie was reassuring, yet had me try on a veil, shoes, and a variety of other steps I would have never considered, just to be sure it was the one. It made me so confident! As someone who works in sales, it is so easy to feel sold to as a consumer in today's world. Throughout my entire appointment, it never crossed my mind that I was "buying", nor did I ever feel an ounce of pressure in any way. Katie and Olivia were just so human... And the experience, so comfortable, like I was the only person at VOWS, and they were friends! My group was really blown away at the experience and I am feeling so grateful that I went with VOWS. I am already looking forward to seeing and thanking them again when my dress arrives in a few months! read more

I went to Vows today to consider some of the Off the Rack options and didn't expect to come back with anything. I was never the kind of person to dream up a wedding as a little girl and thought maybe we'd even elope. Well, as we got to planning our focus was mainly on the venue, food and other details. We have spent a lot of time hoping our guests will be just as relaxed as we plan to be! Two months to go and I realized I had no idea what I was going to wear. I started worrying about being comfortable for such a busy day! Gabrielle was friendly, efficient, understanding, and ready to find something that could work! I thought a bridal shop would be superficial or judgemental but she was the exact opposite. She was patient and kind about my situation. She pulled a few dresses that we could potentially order in time. Then, it happened. I tried on The Dress and started balling my eyes out. It wasn't a style I had even thought of and the modified A Line cut was beyond flattering. The dress had only been in for a week and I was the first to try it on. The owner amazingly let me purchase it off the rack. It is a perfect fit and I'm so beyond grateful. It'll take a couple months for it to be back in so all of the staff really went above and beyond so that I could have such a seamless experience. Gabrielle paired the gown with a great veil and recommended a tailor as well. I can't stop looking at my dress and it's just building up our excitement!! My fiancée can't wait to see me in it and I will be sending in pictures of our wedding day. Thank you again Vows!! I wouldn't recommend anywhere else :-) read more

You need to go to Vows for your bridal shopping experience. I worked with Gabrielle and she was amazing! I arrived for my appointment with my mom, sister and future mother-in-law on a Thursday. She let us know how the process worked and explained where in the store we would find which dresses. Then each member of my family was able to pick out a dress for me to try on. Then using my pictures and must haves Gabrielle picked out some dresses for me. I tried on over 20 dresses and spend about 2 hours there and the entire staff was accommodating. Gabrielle was attentive and offered factual feedback on the gowns I tried on. She very supportive when I tried on two dresses over and over again because I couldn't decide. Then when I couldn't decide she encouraged me to take my time and come back another day. Great advice, as soon as I started driving home, I knew which one I wanted. They were able to meet with me the next day and get my dress ordered. I was between sizes and they recommended which one I should go with based on my measurements. When it came to order the dress, they were accommodating. Based on my location recommended that it ship to my house, which worked out perfectly. To sum it up this boutique knows what they are doing. They are the premier example of exceptional customer service and ensuring doing what is best for the customer. If you have the chance to experience Vows I would highly recommend it. My story is a very old one but I think it will be of interest to any bride interested in selecting her own gown. My mother and aunt took it upon themselves to look around to see what might be a nice wedding gown for me. They were so excited they could not wait for me to get out of work and began trying on dresses with the enthusiastic assistance of the sales person. Eventually they found a dress THEY liked. They asked about the return policy and were told that there was none. The dress could be returned for nothing but a store credit. They decided to buy the dress and present me with the bill. Instead of encouraging them to call me and see if I wanted to let them choose my wedding dress without my input, the young woman who rang up the sale only told them that their purchase was made "with a lot of love". I was presented with a dress I never asked for and a bill for $700. I could not bring myself to wear a wedding gown someone else chose so I returned it for the credit and instead of being able to wear any dress in the world I wanted (and could afford) I was limited to one store in Watertown. Ironically VOWS is now featured in a program on TLC "I Found the Gown!" which is supposed to some how involve the bride to be and take her wishes into consideration. All this happened the beginning of February 1999. I've been married almost sixteen years but the owners are the same. read more

Loved Vows! I found my wedding dress which I surprisingly found quickly and found that everyone was super helpful. I thought it was going to be a more hectic environment but it wasn't at all. We had our own dressing room which was split with a curtain so that my mom, sister and best friend could be in the room with me but I still had privacy while you changed. The women I worked with was great and had me try on dresses that I wouldn't have thought to grab. She wasn't pushy at all and listened to every thing I had to say. I end up ordering a dress and not buying an off the rack one but it was still with in my budget and I was totally in love with it. I was also able to get all my bridesmaids dresses taken of care of too. I have 5 bridesmaids and wanted a mix match of dresses. I thought this was an easy idea but it ended up being a little more difficult then I had thought. Luckily, Olivia (one of the associates) was able to make this idea happen. She worked with my group during two different appointments and helped each girl found a dress while keeping the idea of mix matching. She was amazing and we couldn't have done it with out her. She was also super helpful with my bridesmaids who were struggling with picking a dress so far in advanced knowing that they might get pregnant in the next 10 months. read more

I initially came here with my mom and 2 bridesmaids on a Saturday afternoon after going to 2 other places. Big mistake. I was so tired from trying on the other dresses, that I was overwhelmed by the production process that is Vows. I tried on some dresses, and didn't really like any I tried. I left defeated and in need of a cold beverage. The next day I was looking on their website and saw they just got a huge shipment of Jim Hjelm dresses - the designer I was looking for. I immediately went on their website to make an appointment for the next morning at 10am. Tuesday morning 10am comes around, and I am the only person in the store. 3 of the associates started to help me as I came prepared with exactly what dresses I wanted to try on. I was the only one in the fitting room and had tremendous help taking pictures and they gave me ample time to just stand there and figure out if I liked the dress or not. I did. I said yes to the dress. The selling point? I have a wedding under 6 months and I can take home the dress in a few weeks - they're even going to clean it for me for free. It was also a $3200 dress that I'm paying $1200 for. Moral of the story - do NOT go here on a weekend or an evening. Take a day off of work and come in the morning on a weekday. Trust me - it's worth it. read more

I have had a wonderfu experience at VOWS. I saw "THE DRESS" I had been eyeing had now disappeared off of the KLEINFELD website! I was ready to have a cow and I continued to search for the same dress... It was sold. When I contacted KLEINFELD, NY they tolod me that the upgrade of the dress was also no longer available..... they then let me in on a secret...... the sample dress (THE UPGRADE-EVEN MORE AMAZING) had been sent to a fabulous bridal salon in Massachusetts. I asked where and they gave me the website. Needless to say, it was VOWS. I called fro an appointment and they offered me the 1st available. I got their imediately..... like fast! I rang the bell and I walked in to a fresh smiling face (Barbara) who knew who I was immediately (the nut on the phone) and then,,,,,, i saw the shimmmmerrr...... THE DRESSSSSSSS!!!! I grabbed it and "Babs" (now I think we r close) and I were off to the dressing room.... It was perfect and it still is... the price was verrrry low for what I got ( I mean KENNETH POOL FOR $2000???) After I stopped crying and calling my dad to come and see it, I looked around..... what a gorgeous place... it is painted, what i call, Tiffany blue... i loved everything about that place, and BABS!!!! enjoy and good luck finding your gown! read more

I came here back in November; my first time EVER trying on dresses. I wasn't forced or felt pressured to try anything on that I didn't want to, my consultant even showed me around the store and told me to pick out whatever caught my eye. I tried on about 6 or 8 dresses and mixed in that bunch was "THE DRESS" but I was clueless (you know being my first time and all) I mean who finds their dress the first time wedding dress shopping but my consultant Gabrielle said "This is it, you look so beautiful and comfortable in it. I'm sure I'll see you again" with a big smile on her face, wrote down the name of the dress and the designer for me "just in case" and I left. Over the next couple months I stalked the designer and the dress over and over, I didn't even go anywhere else or try on any other dresses; nothing compared to "THE DRESS"! Just like Gabrielle said, I came back in July and tried on "The Dress" again and that's when it hit me, I FOUND THE GOWN (back in November)! My consultant knew before I even knew. She was amazing and made my experience so comfortable and painless! Gabrielle was truly a pleasure to work with and I recommend asking for her if you make an appointment here!! read more

Wedding dress shopping can be an overwhelming experience, but the sales people at Vows are so knowledgeable and helpful that they make the entire experience a pleasure. My daughter and I went wedding gown shopping. When we walked into the store and saw the sheer number of dresses, we were at a loss of where to even begin the process. Luckily, Sarah, one of the sales woman, swooped in and helped us narrow down our options. She worked with us by having my daughter try a variety of styles to see what she felt worked best for her. While my daughter had one style in mind, by the time she tried on a number of dresses, she ended up with a very different style than she initially imagined, and she couldn't be happier. I can't say enough about the entire experience. Vows has such a large selection of every type of style both my daughter and I were truly amazed. What was even more amazing, were the sales people who had the experience to guide us in choosing the styles and dresses that worked for my daughter. The entire experience was a pleasure and my daughter ended up with a dress that was perfect for her! I can't say enough about Vows! read more

Did I believe I would find a dress on my first try? Did I think my teenage daughter would actually think I looked great in a dress that I liked? Did I think that a dress picked out by my consultant, which I passed over, would look great - and be my "yes"? No, No, No! Vows' staff welcomed us upon arrival, checked us in, and let us know who my consultant would be. The store is much bigger than it looks from the street - the reception area separates the store by dress size range which probably makes it less crazy when they are busy. On a weeknight, with a 6:45 pm appointment it was not crowded although there were plenty of shoppers. I got all the attention I needed during my appointment...including the consultant bringing a dress for me to try....which was definitely not anything I would have picked. Holy cow, when it's the one you know it right away. I tried on a couple more to make sure, and then knew for sure I was going to walk out the door with "my" dress. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and management for creating a great shopping experience and one of the highlights of my wedding planning timeline! read more

So far this was amazingly the easiest part of planning a wedding. Let me start by saying I thought I knew what I wanted for a dress. I was, however, very wrong. Lucky for me, Krystal somehow knew me better than I know myself. She found the perfect dress for me based on what I liked/didn't like about every other dress. It was like she was taking every piece of feedback I gave and using it to build the perfect dress. She actually came back with something I would've never thought I'd like but it incorporated the best part of each dress. Holds up my boobs, easy to dance in, everything else I had listed. Check. I thought I'd need to try on 50 different dresses until I found the right one, but this was SO. MUCH. EASIER. I think it was dress #7 and I was sold. Bless Krystals heart for putting up with me and my anxiety and excitement and spaciness during the whole thing. All the girls were so sweet, really, and you can tell they're all genuinely excited for you. After the wedding I'm going to divorce Tyler so I can marry him again so I can come back to Vows and have this experience again. Thank you guys so much. read more

I had a 10:45 AM appointment on Saturday. I unfortunately wasn't able to arrive at the asked-for 15 minutes ahead, but nevertheless, I was shown around the floor quickly but thoroughly, and then my party and I were left to pull the first round of dresses. Everyone was warm and welcoming, while still being efficient. Shortly after we finished pulling our picks, a consultant, Melanie, introduced herself, brought me to a fitting room, and helped me into dress #1. Over the next hour, Melanie quickly honed in on what I liked and disliked, and pulled over a dozen beautiful gowns that fit me and my budget. Melanie's knowledge of the available dress selection is impressive; I overheard her speaking with another consultant about a certain dress, and she knew exactly which one the other consultant was talking about, and where it was. While I did not end up with a dress from Vows, I would certainly recommend any of my friends to try shopping there first. The employees are fast but thorough, the dresses are gorgeous and reasonably priced, and I never once felt like I was being rushed through my appointment. read more

I found THE dress! Olivia was my stylist and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She listened carefully and paid close attention to what I liked and didn't like. She moved the appointment along and helped me stay focused, but I never felt rushed or stressed. She knew exactly which dresses I needed to try on again for comparison as we narrowed down my choices. I was pleasantly surprised how many dresses I actually loved! Olivia was amazing at helping me pay close attention to which dresses I exuded the most confidence and energy in. After trying on about 7 dresses, I went back to the very first pick. Olivia picked the most perfect veil and as it all came together, I knew this was the dress! I had my mom, sister, and maid of honor with me, and we all shared so much excitement, and Olivia was right there in the moment with all of us. I'll never forget this day, and I'm so thankful for everything! read more

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Mandy was my stylist and she is amazing. My mum and sister talked me into bridal shopping and I was skeptical I could get that excited about it, but Mandy's energy was infectious! Vows is big so there were a lot of options but she pointed us in the right direction for my budget, understood my style straight away, listened to our feedback, and was honest with hers. The dress I chose was the first one I tried on! The sample was available to buy but I had another bridal appointment that day, and Mandy kindly kept the dress off the floor until I was ready to decide. When we came back to buy it we were helped by other staff who were also very patient, encouraging, and efficient. Liv even took the time to help me try on my dress again. We are very happy we chose Vows and feel very well taken care of by the genuinely passionate staff! 100% recommend read more

All I have to say is go to Vows for your wedding dress!!!!!! My experience was more than amazing. I had Gabrielle as my consultant, and she was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better consultant than her. She was patient, friendly, knowledgable, knew what I wanted, and helped me a great deal. I got my dress for more than half as it was retailed for!!!! This place is perfect for brides on a budget, or brides who want to get the most for their money!! Everyone in there was SO nice and helpful. Anytime I come across someone getting married, I'm definitely going to recommend Vows. It's worth the trip no matter where you're coming from. They have every size in every style. I couldn't be more happy with my dress! Thank you Vows and especially Gabrielle for helping me pick my dress for the most important day of my life :) :) You guys are AMAZING!! read more

The person I spoke to at vows today was completely dismissive and rude. I called inquiring about bridal alteration services to which she abruptly said they don't offer that and wished me luck. She then went on to confirm they only do alterations via a third party. I asked who that was, and she said that third-party vendor only does alterations for dresses purchased at their store... Lol!!! I'm sure that any small business/independent seamstress/tailor will take business from anywhere. Our money is green! Have you ever walked into your local dry cleaner or tailor and have them tell you they will only help you if you purchase from a certain store?? definitely not. It's a shame because I have other things to purchase for myself and my bridal party. Moving on. "Best of luck to you, check The Knot " thanks Karen, I will. read more

I went here because a friend of a friend got her dress there, and I thought it was BEAUTIFUL - so I shamelessly stalked her Facebook page to find she went to Vows. Despite the name here, I did not know it was an outlet based on their website. I thought it was just another Bridal shop, similar to a David's Bridal. When I arrived a consultant took the images I printed online while I looked through the dress racks. My consultant, Nyndia, was kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful She assisted me in finding the most beautiful dress. We laughed the whole time. I didn't have the tears and excitement when I said "yes to the dress" but I did feel I found the perfect one. I actually put it on a total of 3 times and kept going back to it! I recommend anyone going to Vows and specifically working with Nyndia. read more

VOWS was so amazing to me and I'm so thankful to have found my dream wedding dress there!! This was the very first stop on my wedding dress shopping journey so there were some definite nerves coming into the appointment, but Emily S., the consultant who helped me out, was so thoughtful and encouraging. She totally got my style right away and made my experience so fun and easy-going. You could tell her favorite part of her job was seeing the look on brides' faces when they finally found "the one," and celebrated right alongside my mom, sister, and I. After about 6 or 7 dresses I landed on my dream dress and canceled the rest of my bridal appointments for the afternoon!! It really was a great day and I can't wait to go back for my first fitting! Thanks again to VOWS and Emily S.! read more

I was so disappointed with my experience at GLL today. I called about a week ago to make my…read moreappointment, and was told that I could pick from the entire inventory if I came in within the next two weeks. So I made my appointment for a week out and was so excited, I had a list of dresses that were all in stock for me to pick from, that I confirmed on the phone with GLL. When I started my appointment I was immediately told that I needed to pick from the "ready to wear" selection because my wedding date was too soon (July 2026). I told my stylist that I was deliberately told I could choose from the entire inventory if I made my appointment within two weeks but she was persistent that I had to pick from the "ready to wear" selection, which only had about 3 of the dresses on my list. I had driven almost 2 hours from RI for this appointment and wouldn't have if I knew that I wouldn't be able to try a bunch of dresses that I loved! I came to my appointment with 6 family members/friends and only two of them were given champagne. They asked for more and were told no. We thought this was odd but didn't think much of it. Throughout trying on dresses, I felt super rushed and like I was not being heard at all on what I liked about each one that I tried. For example I loved one dress but it wasn't fitting right, I needed a size smaller, but my stylist wouldn't let me try the smaller size; instead she kept telling me "it will look much better when fitted correctly...." At the end of my appointment, I had only one dress that I was (kinda) interested in, until my stylist told me we were out of time and that I couldn't try on a vail with my final pick. I was honestly floored at this point and felt like I accidentally offended my stylist or something for her to basically kick me and my 6-person entourage out. I left GLL feeling super sad, rushed, and confused.

Small bridal salon in Boston…read more This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and I was definitely nervous but Grace Loves Lace made it a great experience. It was easy to make an appointment online, I took the T in but there was some street parking right outside the shop entrance on a little side street. The stylist I had my appointment with (Lay) was super sweet. She offered me a refreshment, asked about my wedding, took my measurements, then brought out the dresses I had put in my appointment request. I honestly fell in love with the first dress and, seeing what I liked about the dress, Lay picked out a gown that wasn't in my original list to try on that I also ended up loving, more than the other ones I had picked out. She also helped me to envision what the dress would look like with some alterations. She is definitely very good at her job. The one thing I would have liked was a bit more alone time to check myself out and take videos and walk around, it felt a little awkward to have someone hovering most of the time. Overall though it was a really great experience and I would highly recommend Grace Loves Lace to any bride to be, especially if it's your first time wedding dress shopping.

Extremely disappointing bridal experience!…read more Our experience with Katie at Flair was one of the most disappointing parts of my daughter's wedding dress search. Before our appointment, we had personally heard concerns from several people we know about their experiences at Flair. My daughter consciously put those concerns aside because she was hopeful and genuinely wanted to experience Flair for herself. Unfortunately, after our appointment, we learned that the people we knew who had shared those concerns had also had Katie as their consultant. We arrived 12 minutes late to our appointment and were immediately told that it was fine, but that we now had only 48 minutes. We understood that we were late, but the tone was abrupt from the beginning. Despite my daughter having been asked in advance to send the designers and specific dresses she was interested in, none of the dresses had been pulled in preparation for our appointment. The lack of engagement continued throughout the appointment. Between dresses, while my daughter was changing, Katie would repeatedly go back to the desk, peruse her laptop, and grab another dress. She never once engaged with the three of us sitting there or used that time to talk through what my daughter was looking for. When my daughter was ready in the dressing room, she actually had to call out to Katie to let her know she was ready so Katie could come in and adjust the dress. There was never a sense of excitement or anticipation. There was no "magical reveal" or moment where my daughter was made to feel like a bride. The appointment felt more like moving through a series of dresses as quickly as possible than creating the experience you would expect from a bridal boutique. What was most troubling, however, was Katie's treatment of my daughter. Rather than getting to know her, her vision, her wedding, or even the people who had come with her, Katie spent a significant amount of time lecturing her about the bridal process. She questioned why my daughter had not already chosen a dress--whether she hadn't found "the one," or whether the process had been "too quick and too easy" and she wasn't trusting it. She talked about how a bride needs to "manifest" her dress. She asked very rehearsed, direct, and quite frankly abrasive questions on WHY she wasn't ready to make the decision right there and then. It felt less like supportive bridal guidance and more like Katie was trying to convince my daughter that she was approaching the experience incorrectly. My daughter was never made to feel celebrated as a bride. When we asked reasonable questions about the dress, including the bustle options because my daughter felt the dress was heavy, Katie seemed aggravated and initially dismissed the question by saying there were "many options." When I asked about the price, she said it was within budget and responded, "I told your daughter the price in the dressing room, it is within budget." Even the veil experience felt rushed and careless. Katie said, "I'm no hairdresser," grabbed a few pieces of my daughter's hair, and hurriedly put the veil on her head. These may seem like small details, but during a bridal appointment, those moments matter. A bride should feel beautiful and cared for. By this point, my daughter was upset and overwhelmed and knew she wasn't ready to make a decision. When she asked if she could come back in a few days before she had to head home, back to Tampa, Katie told her, "No, I'm completely booked." She then proceeded to pressure my daughter into taking her measurements so she could just call if she decided to proceed with the dress. Katie ultimately asked the three of us accompanying my daughter to leave the area and wait in the hallway because her next bride and mother had arrived. I understand appointments need to stay on schedule, but the lack of any flexibility, combined with the pressure my daughter was already feeling, made the entire experience feel extremely transactional. At one point, while measuring my daughter, Katie even asked, "Did I say something?" By then, the answer was obvious. A bridal appointment should make a bride feel excited, beautiful, heard, and supported. My daughter left feeling rushed, interrogated, and pressured. We came to Flair willing to put aside things we had previously heard because my daughter wanted to experience it for herself. Unfortunately, our experience confirmed those concerns. Our lasting impression was that making the sale was more important than helping a bride find her dream dress. That is not the experience we expected from a bridal boutique, and I would not recommend booking with Katie.
