If I could give zero stars I would. I bought a dress online to wear for my wedding reception. When I received the package I opened the box and the dress was scrunched up in a cheap plastic bag with a "Made In China" sticker on it. When I took the dress out it was the cheapest material and looked nothing like the photo online. I tried it on and it was way too big. I used their sizing chart when purchasing and also measured the dress I received. The measurements did not match what is on their sizing guide. They were MANY inches bigger. I asked to return and they told me I was 23 hours too late - outside of their 14 day return window. DO NOT SHOP HERE THIS SHOP IS A SCAM

Dress I thought I was purchasing. Beautiful lace with nude lining. No obvious "in your face" breast pads pictured.

Online Buyers Beware! Even though Camilla's threatened me with legal action if I spoke in any capacity of defamation, I cannot let another bride purchase online without reading this first. If you order a standard size, they consider it custom. So if you order a 10, but the dress appears to be a size 6, you cannot return it. If the dress you choose looks completely different than the dress you receive, you cannot return it. They have multiple areas on their site saying 14 day returns, even 30 day returns, but if you skim over the fine print you will miss that they only take a return if the dress is damaged or apparnetly under $100. I have never reviewed a company before, but the experience I have had via emails with this company has been so negative and disappointing that I had to share. If it saves another bride from having the same experience then it's worth it to me. Luckily my credit card company refunded the cost of the dress after reading the shared email history between Camilla's and myself. The pictures of the dress alone were enough evidence that I did not receive what I thought I was buying. Camilla's will state that each dress is handmade so it is not unusual to see some differences, guess "differences" that can be left to interpretation.

This was my very first experience trying on a wedding dress. In the past I had accompanied friends but never done it myself. Needless to say I was nervous and anxious to see how it would go. From the second we (my mom, sister, and I) stepped in the shop I felt totally taken care of. Nivia owns the shop but that day I was taken care of by the assistant, whose name I regretfully didn't catch. She greeted us and showed us the racks. She said we could go through them ourselves and select what we liked. The selection isn't massive but they have a few of at least every style you could think of, all mostly under $1,500. She hung back while we went through the dresses and, based on the feedback I was giving to my mom and sis' picks, was able to steer me to dresses more my taste/style. Super helpful. As I tried on my 7 picks the assistant and her magic hands helped clip and bustle and adjust the dresses so they FIT even though they weren't my size. She helped me see how every single dress would have looked if it were true to my size. That is skill right there. Let me just digress here, a lot of my anxiety around trying on dresses came from knowing the sample sizes at Camilla's were around an 8-10 and I'm more like a 14 so I thought I wouldn't be able to find anything and that even if I did, nothing would fit or it would look awful. Clearly I was wrong because I found 7 lovely dresses that were size 10-12 and not terrible to wriggle in to. Add that to the assistant working her magic and my fears went away immediately. Another thing I LOVED about the assistant, that I was super anxious about, was that everyone there looking at me would push their opinions on me about each dress: this one is more flattering, this one is more stylish, this one is really popular, this one is our fave, etc. She never did that, she gave very impartial advice noting helpful things like where certain dresses could be altered, different additions or subtractions that could be made, how a dress would look in my actual size. She was thoughtful and neutral and never imposed her own thoughts and opinions. She was just fantastic. I had a great, great experience here. The racks are very neatly organized, everything looks lovely, the whole store is very inviting and not intimidating like a Priscilla's or insane running of the brides. The samples are pretty ravaged but they are samples. I actually felt better that they weren't in mint condition because then I didn't have to be so delicate whipping 7 heavy wedding dresses on and off on a 90 degree day. My friend Melissa C. (who has also reviewed Camilla's) recommended I go here so I will pass on that wisdom. If you are getting married and need a dress, go here. Even if you don't end up buying anything, go for the exquisite customer service and experience. You won't regret it.

Violet, Maria and myself. Final dress fitting and pickup as my wedding is in 9 days!

I had my first…read morewedding dress try on experience at VOWS, and had three more appointments after my initial visit to find the perfect dress. Mandy bent over backwards to answer all of my questions and concerns to make sure I would be 100% confident in my decision when I finally said yes to the dress. After purchasing my wedding dress, two months later my dad went on hospice, and we had to cancel our dream wedding. We ended up planning a small ceremony with only 10 days notice, but my original dress hadn't arrived yet. When my mom called VOWs and explained the situation, they immediately stepped into action with so much compassion and generosity. Without hesitation, they began searching for a dress in my size that I could wear straight off the rack, so I could still have something special to wear on such an important and emotional day. It wasn't just about the dress, it was about how deeply they cared and how much they deeply wanted to help during a really difficult time. They made me feel supported, understood, and truly taken care of when everything felt overwhelming. The second dress was absolutely perfect, and I'll forever associate it with such a meaningful moment in my life and with the team who made it happen for me, my husband, and my dad. This shop goes far beyond just selling dresses. They show genuine kindness and heart. I will never forget what they did for me, and I cannot recommend them enough to any bride.

I highly recommend Bridal Reflections for bridesmaid gown shopping…read more I went there today, to pick out a gown for an August wedding. Anita, the owner of Bridal Reflections, is amazingly helpful and sweet. She runs her business out of her home (above a dentists office), so don't be thrown off when you get there. The entire second floor is filled with amazing dresses. The selection was better than any bridal store I'd visited before. The bride to be had a specific gown in mind for me to wear and Anita found it immediately, and then spoke on the phone to another bridesmaid who lives in North Carolina to order the same dress for her. The prices were much less than other bridal stores. She passes on the discount she gets from having a home based business straight to you. I paid a deposit using my credit card. She asks for half up front, and half when the dress arrives. I hope to bring my own bridesmaids to see Anita when I get married next year.

The other bridesmaids are in Nevada, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia and we were just going to do a bulk order, but I didn't have money at the time so the bride let me order mine on my own.. "It's okay if it's not dyed with the other ones.. I mean the maid of honor can be slightly off color, right?" Well that line worked. After calling at least 4 other places in the area, I spoke with Anita of Bridal Reflections. BR is Anita's business that she runs from her home in Watertown (she also has a place in Belmont where she shows dresses I believe). Seemed semi-strange at first, but we're all trying to make a buck these days and I'd heard good things, so I went ahead and bought it with Anita. She gave me the sweetest price too. Probably about $40-60 less than her competitors (and she told me prices without sounding exasperated). I don't know remember if I told her about my lack of funds or if she could sense my desperation, but she told me I could pay for half of it now and then pay for the rest when the dress arrived. Amazing. Seriously amazing for those of you who know about my 3 apartment debacle from this summer. Fast forward to a little over a month later and the dress arrived early! Anita came to the rescue again. When she found out I was having issues getting down to Watertown and that I would be taking a bus, she wouldn't have it. She took my credit info over the phone, charged me the balance, and shipped the dress that day. I received it by the end of the next business day! Seriously, Anita is the nicest wedding affiliated woman I've ever met. OH and I almost forgot, last time I chatted with her, she recommended a woman she's been working with on alterations for forever. I haven't chatted with her yet, but if she's been working with Anita.. she's gotta be good!

We had a few appointments and I had a couple of plans with family and friends as well in a short time. This must vary based on who you get so YMMV but my experience was incredibly frustrating and a nightmare. Negative customer science and I cannot recommend this place as it seems the issues extend beyond the reported seamstress issues. Come if you like to be hot, thirsty, and frustrated while shopping for something that will cost a couple thousand dollars. *** My friend made a few different appointments for me. Some sort of glitch must have happened but only for this shop and none of the other shops. The appointment booked in PT time zone not ET and because it's in Boston... we all only looked at the confirmation and reminder that said 11am. My friend had noticed the time of 11am but that it seemed like the store opened at noon the night before so it was too late to call to check so we got up early after a late night to head over since it was almost an hour away and I'm definitely not a morning person on a weekend. Of course, we get there and it's closed and I call the number on the front door sign and leave a voicemail. We go on a side quest and come back half an hour late hoping to catch someone and stay for awhile before leaving. No luck. We head off for lunch with a friend and I call again around 1230 to figure out what's going on. Voicemail. A bit later they call back and say got your voicemail and don't know but you're not in our book at all for today and the tone was pointed. What? At this point, I'm incredibly frustrated. No apologies to say hey clearly there is a glitch but let's figure it out. Instead, a terse we don't have you in our book at all. Awkward pause. Do you still want to come? Internally, no but I am in need of a dress so I ask what times are available. It was like pulling teeth. She seemed so annoyed and asked me what time I want to come. We eventually schedule an appointment but I already had a bad taste. I drive back an hour from another commitment and arrive a few minutes late. She doesn't even greet me initially. My friend is there and greets me and catches me up that she's been looking at dresses for me to help get me started. She's great. I don't want to be here at this point especially since it felt as if our person was also standoffish. She finally introduces herself but throughout the visit I cannot help but compare her with the other employee helping another bride's mother. The other woman was friendly, encouraging, and had a few suggestions. My experience did not feel friendly. She helped me in and out of a few dresses but did not seem to understand what I was looking for. I didn't find too many things of interest but don't really hold inventory against stores because it can be pretty variable and unpredictable as to what comes in and what gets scooped up by others. During this process though, another bride comes in. She tries dresses on and was directed to stand on podium we were using so I was standing there waiting while I'm not sure what our person was doing. Did they overbook? In any case, the other woman noticed and offers the other bride's podium for us to see how the dress looks. Our person later suggests I can look through what's on the rack so I start flipping through. At this point, she decides to try to engage me in the time issue. I haven't even raised this with her because I'm just trying to sort out my existing frustration that's been further amplified because the place is hot with no air flow. I'm thirsty, tired, and frustrated. She now states that the time issue wasn't on their side as they had us down for a different time. Wtf. Earlier she told us we weren't even in the book. We figure out the time zone issue and she even says I'm not trying to argue with you but it's not on our side. Lol. I've had enough at this point so I say I don't think it's worth is discussing this at this point. I then stop flipping through the dresses and look at my friend and we leave. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be fun. You're supposed to feel excited and supported not attacked. It's pointless trying to argue with someone who is not trying to solve something with you but trying to blame you. How hard would it have been to say hey clearly something went wrong and let's figure it out together? Anyways, terrible experience. Never coming back. Not recommended. Have been to 4 other places and they were all pleasant to visit even with varying levels of hospitality. Tulle is a place that does it right. I also liked Marry and Tux. They all reached out ahead of time to personally confirm the appointment, ask about vision to start brainstorming on dress matches, and were super friendly. These other places also felt cleaner and nicer.
