I highly recommend Bridal Reflections for bridesmaid gown shopping. I went there today, to pick out a gown for an August wedding. Anita, the owner of Bridal Reflections, is amazingly helpful and sweet. She runs her business out of her home (above a dentists office), so don't be thrown off when you get there. The entire second floor is filled with amazing dresses. The selection was better than any bridal store I'd visited before. The bride to be had a specific gown in mind for me to wear and Anita found it immediately, and then spoke on the phone to another bridesmaid who lives in North Carolina to order the same dress for her. The prices were much less than other bridal stores. She passes on the discount she gets from having a home based business straight to you. I paid a deposit using my credit card. She asks for half up front, and half when the dress arrives. I hope to bring my own bridesmaids to see Anita when I get married next year. read more

If you like your bridesmaids at all, you'll find your dresses at Bridal Reflections. My 2nd maid of honor gig this year required me to hunt down a specific dress (Bill Levkoff.. last wedding they were at David's Bridal). The other bridesmaids are in Nevada, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia and we were just going to do a bulk order, but I didn't have money at the time so the bride let me order mine on my own.. "It's okay if it's not dyed with the other ones.. I mean the maid of honor can be slightly off color, right?" Well that line worked. After calling at least 4 other places in the area, I spoke with Anita of Bridal Reflections. BR is Anita's business that she runs from her home in Watertown (she also has a place in Belmont where she shows dresses I believe). Seemed semi-strange at first, but we're all trying to make a buck these days and I'd heard good things, so I went ahead and bought it with Anita. She gave me the sweetest price too. Probably about $40-60 less than her competitors (and she told me prices without sounding exasperated). I don't know remember if I told her about my lack of funds or if she could sense my desperation, but she told me I could pay for half of it now and then pay for the rest when the dress arrived. Amazing. Seriously amazing for those of you who know about my 3 apartment debacle from this summer. Fast forward to a little over a month later and the dress arrived early! Anita came to the rescue again. When she found out I was having issues getting down to Watertown and that I would be taking a bus, she wouldn't have it. She took my credit info over the phone, charged me the balance, and shipped the dress that day. I received it by the end of the next business day! Seriously, Anita is the nicest wedding affiliated woman I've ever met. OH and I almost forgot, last time I chatted with her, she recommended a woman she's been working with on alterations for forever. I came across Bridal Reflections on Yelp and thought I would give this place a try. My younger sister, one of my bridesmaids, was in town for Thanksgiving so we made an appointment on Black Friday with Anita. I had warned my sister that the reviews indicated that her shop was located in a house, but my sister was still uncertain as we pulled up to the address. I noticed the dentist signs that others had pointed out so I knew i was in the right place. Anita greeted us happily and welcomed us inside. The look on my sister's face still showed skepticism but all of that was erased once we spoke to Anita and were taken to see her inventory upstairs. You soon forget you are in a house once you walk into the two rooms full of bridesmaid gowns. And I mean full!!! There is something for everyone in those rooms -- short gowns, tea-length gowns, long gowns . . . all in a variety of colors and materials. And Anita has a variety of swatches available to go with each designer/dress in case you have a color palette in mind. Just like gown shopping, this was the less stressful bridesmaid shopping I have ever done. It was actually fun and my sister agreed. Anita gave us her undivided attention and let my sister try on over a dozen dresses. She took the time to take out the color swatches, look up prices, hem up dresses, and more as we contemplated each and every style we had chosen. At the end, my sister and I narrowed down our selection and Anita was kind enough to write down the designer websites and style numbers so we could show the other bridesmaids. Not only are the prices competitive (say good-bye to David's Bridal!), but Anita is patient, funny, and very knowledgeable about dresses and weddings. In fact, she also sells dyeable wedding shoes, arranges honeymoons, and much more! Additionally, Anita was the one who referred me to Viva Amore also in Watertown, where some of her past wedding gown stock now resides. And Anita did not steer me wrong there (check out my review). Bridal Reflections is really as good as it gets. I took a chance on BR, which is run by Anita, because of a couple of positive reviews on Yelp. I was prepared for the "in her house" shop, but was not prepared for the "WOW" effect when I walked into Bridesmaid dress heaven. I had three bridesmaids to please, who basically threatened me if I did not pick a flattering dress for my July wedding. Well Anita made it easier than ever. No Bridezilla here!! She let the girls browse through every single dress freely, look through books of colors and fabric, and made suggestions we would have never thought of. The shipping does take a long time, but if you are a smart bride you wouldn't wait last minute for dresses. However, if you waited last minute, i'm sure Anita would make it work. Not only did she make the bridesmaid dress easy as pie, she caught wind of how I basically needed to alter my lace wedding dress to 4 sizes smaller. I had no clue where to go. Anita suggested an experienced seamstress in Arlington who does the best work she has seen in 20 years. Needless to say, i didn't think you could alter a dress as well as Janette did. All my bridesmaids had their dresses hemmed there as well. Anita did it again!! BUT WAIT....THERE'S MORE! Three weeks before my wedding, I had my last fitting for my wedding dress. Since Anita knows everyone in the business (only good people) I asked is she knew where I could get a petticoat off the rack. She ended up finding one, in my size, that i could borrow for the wedding. Who does that!!!??? She then tried to help me with my veil problem (yes, i ran into many problems and Anita fixed them all! ALL!). Oh...did I mention Anita is also a travel agent and can get you great deals on luxurious honeymoons or vacations!! She does it all!!! Anita is a wonderful woman who really cares about how a persons wedding is going to go and wants the bride to be happy and stress free. She values two people committing their lives together and treats all her clients like they are her daughter (except she is the calm mom that everyone dreams of having by their side). You will not regret going to Bridal Reflections. It could lead you to so much more than just Bridesmaid dresses. Bride and I paid a visit to Bridal Reflections and we hit the bridesmaid dress jackpot. Although we were warned that it is in a house, we still managed to be confused because the building has dentist's office signs. The address above is correct, just go knock on the door. Again, this business is operated out of a house so the owner (Anita) will take you to the second floor where all the dresses are located. The rooms are tiny and chock full of dresses. Bride and I were allowed to browse at on our own and pull gowns to try. We were also permitted to try the dresses on at our own discretion, we can do without the dress clips. I have to say, Anita rocks! Her knowledge of dress lengths, straps, materials, colors, ect. is unbelieveable. She was very patient with us, despite the fact that we were terribly disorganized and forgot Bride's dress swatch. Also, you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find nice grey bridesmaid dresses. Anita was up front about prices and gave us a bunch of swatches to take home. Since then, she has been great about getting back to us when we email her and she always picks up the phone. Even though we had to rush-order the dresses (the wedding industrial complex operates on a time schedule where less than 4 months = rush) she has allayed our fears which made us want to super rush-order them. In addition to giving us the best price in town, she's watching out for our bridal party and we appreciate that. Unfortunately, my experience was not as good as other reviewers. I visited the house twice, and got good service (although the second time, they had a hard time finding my information). I was finally ready to buy, and put one of my bridesmaids in charge of ordering the dresses. This place was recommended by a friend of mine who is getting married a day before I am. It is located in Watertown ma,...and as this might sound a little strange...it is in a residential house. Don't be turned off, this place is AMAZING! It is owned by a woman named Anita who is the most helpful and sweetest lady ever. She also owns a bridal shop in Belmont ( my home town ) and keeps all the bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and some of the mothers dresses at her house in Watertown. At first was little weirded out that it was at a house, and didn't think for a second i would be able to find a dress for my bridesmaids there. to my surprise we were greeted by Anita who was very welcoming and cheerful and very excited to help us search for the perfect bridesmaid dress. she has over 600 dresses on the second floor of her house!! Its absolutely amazing! some of the designers are W2(watters and watters) B2( by Jasmine couture) Dessy, Jim Heiljm, and others. Most all of the dresses can be ordered in any color the designers have, and can be ordered short or long. Anita has all the sample books, tons of swatches, and books to look at . I ended up finding the PERFECT bridesmaid dresses here made by W2 the same makers of my wedding dress. In a store these dresses would be over 250, here 170!! the prices are amazing and Anita was there to answer all and any questions. I found this place on yelp, so pretty much my whole experience can be summed up by other positive reviews. Anita really is that good... except that the house next door to Anitas was throwing away furniture and my mom totally grabbed a huge wooden curio rack to refurbish and fix up - she is like that - and we threw it in my sisters Jeep and we were off! not related, but cool things happen when you do go outside of the traditional bridal box! Anita was fantastic, she has so. many. dresses. Upstairs in her home, with a nice display mirror and one of those circles you stand up on to simulate you only taller in the mirror. It's a very laid back kind of place. Really no pressure sales. Anita is happy to suggest dresses, or let you be. She actually showed me a GREAT (around 20) selection of bridesmaid dresses that would be perfect for a bride on a budget to wear. All were very formal, inexpensive, and offered in white or off white. Also she has off the rack "real" bride dresses for sale there as well. Afterwards we went out for latelunch and my whole crew thanked me for not making them do what we had just done at a "regular" bridal store. I ended up not ordering from her - only because I ended up not doing the whole bridesmaid thing at all. But we had a nice ladies lunch and bond, without the annoyance and cost of a dress they'd never wear again. :) read more

My friend and I came across Bridal Reflections from the Bill Levkoff website where our friend who is getting married picked our bridesmaid dresses from. When we first showed up we thought we were at the wrong place because it wall all a bunch of houses, just like everyone else has said. We got to the door and Anita met us and was very pleasant. We were still a bit hesitant because the store is run out of her house and we were just welcomed into her living room. However, she then took us to the 2nd floor which is where she keeps all the dresses. She has tons o them and almost every style of the lines she carries. If not, she has a book of dresses for ones she didn't have. She was very helpful finding dresses we wanted and helping us decide. Since this is the first of our friends getting married we didn't really know what to do or expect but Anita was extremely helpful in letting us know the protocol. Once we decided on our dresses (our friend let us pick style) Anita took down all the information and sized us and knocked off $30 which was great. She also let us pay in two payments which was great. The only thing that was slightly frustrating was that we were told the dresses would show up by March and they didn't show until end of April. It turned out being ok because we still have plenty of time to get them altered but it would have been nice to have a more accurate time table so we weren't freaking out thinking some woman in her house pocketed our money. I can not say enough wonderful things about Anita at Bridal Reflections. As stated before, this shop is in Anita's home and she has thousands of BM dresses, flower girl and mother of the bride dresses. She was so extremely kind and helpful to us. I found all 8 BM dresses, my mothers dress and my rehearsal dinner dress at Bridal Reflections. She is very accommodating and she gives automatic discounts to all dresses b/c she "does not think it is fair to up-charge girls on dresses". I could go on and on about her kindness, but I won't...you should really go and experience it for yourself:) As I said, her shop is located in her home (above what used to be her husband's dental shop, but he has passed away, so the dental portion is no longer used.) I LOVED the fact that she has bigger dress sizes in stock. (Not everyone is a size 2 or 4) and as a business, it is wiser for her to have the larger sizes on hand because smaller girls can fit into the larger sizes and not the other way around. You will find a lot of dresses to choose from and she is very willing to find a dress you want if you don't see it there. Like I said, she gives discounts on all of her dresses, so while the original price is what you may see at other shops, the bottom line price that you pay is less which is great! A friend and I were helped by Nina on Saturday. The service we received was great - helpful and funny to boot! Things to know: - Yes, this is in someone's home which isn't a super traditional setting but it works. I don't think the selection suffers. It was bigger than I expected and much bigger than some I've seen in bridal shops. - The selection is great but it's not very organized. Dresses are crammed in every nook and cranny which makes them kind of tough to really see or look at. - Making an appointment was kind of an ordeal. I called around the holidays and got a machine which said to call a different number to set up an appointment. I called the other number and was told to call the main number back and leave a message. So I did that and my call was never returned. I called the direct line again and made an appointment 3 weeks later which went smoothly. - I thought most of the stuff here was overpriced. I had assumed, maybe stupidly, that since this shop is out of someone's home that we'd see a decrease in the inflated prices you see in a bridal shop. Nope. Most bridesmaid dresses were around $200. Nice options but we ended up buying a dress from a more traditional shop. read more

She has tons of styles and samples to try on and since she runs the business out of her home, she has flexible hours to work within your schedule (evenings and weekends). I live in California and two of my bridesmaids are here and two in Massachusetts. I sent my two bridesmaids to Anita and they were very happy. Anita had lots of dressed to choose from, so even though I had to coordinate on both coasts we were able to find a dress that all four girls liked. I am resubmitting this because it was filtered out because I am a new yelper who gave them a poor rating I guess it was flagged as a suspicious entry. But the truth is, I joined yelp to give them this entry because I only went thereafter hearing of this place on Yelp and relied heavily on the reviews here. After having my own experience I cant stress enough how different my reaction is. First, this "store" is the attic of a woman's home. The home is located in a residential area with no sign out front. This makes me feel like there is some sort of zoning issue going on here and might not be entirely legal. While she does appear to have a lot of dresses most of the samples seemed to be in larger sizes making it nearly impossible to know how a dress would look when fitted properly. As I did call and make an appointment for myself I was surprised that she didn't help me for more than 20 minutes after I got there. She was with another customer and I know these things happen but I didn't think they way she handled the double booking was very professional or courteous. I have been to other bridal stores where the person helping me has always asked useful questions such as is this a formal wedding, night or day wedding, etc. in order to help steer me in the right direction gown wise. This woman didn't ask any questions but rather just said NO to most of the dresses I wanted to look at. She almost seemed upset that I was looking through all of the wracks. Hopefully she was just having a stressed out off day and you have better luck, but based on my experience I would say this is a waist of your time. read more

All I have to say, is if you are looking for exceptional service in a relaxed atmosphere with prices that cannot be beat, then Bridal Reflections is the way to go! I discovered Anita (owner, operator and all around amazing person!) through a friend who was getting married last year. We could not have had better service. When you go to Anita's house, her full attention is on you. She allows you to "shop" her second floor and pick out numerous dresses to try on, and also helps by pulling dresses that others have used and recommended. She has all the big name dresses, and is able to tell you the colors, fabrics and various styles each dress comes in (short, long, staps, strapless, maternity, etc). The prices at Bridal Reflections are also extremely reasonable, often the same or less expensive than those at some of the large chain bridal shops. To put it in perspective, between myself and my friends and all the weddings we've had recently, we have purchased 27 (that's twenty seven!) dresses from Anita in just over a year! That in itself should tell you something! Oh, and for those looking for someone going the extra mile, Anita also does wedding invitations, and she is also a travel agent! I read about Bridal Reflections online and it had great reviews so my girls and I decided to try it out. Anita runs the business out of her home, so when you get there you are led upstairs to two bedrooms full of bridesmaid dresses. Anita was extremely helpful and knowledgeable concerning what dresses came in what fabric and color. She had a million swatches to look at and my girls tried on a few dresses before they found one they loved! Anita had actually suggested it and the girls were thrilled. She is very warm and friendly and her prices cant be beat. The girls paid for their dresses using credit cards, so she is set up like a regular business in that sense. We were a little weary of going to a home to look for dresses for the wedding, but we are so glad we did since she was so helpful. Also, you are the only appointment when you go in, so she is 100% focused on helping you find the right dresses. I had a fantastic experience with Bridal Reflections. When I began looking for bridesmaid dresses, my mother found Bridal Reflections through this site and really liked the great reviews. The store carried the dress line I was planning to use for my bridesmaid dresses, so I went and checked it out. I really enjoyed that the dresses are stored in the upstairs of the owner's home. You get to look at a huge number of beautiful dresses without the poor, impersonal service of a chain wedding shop. You get very attentive and sincere service at Bridal Reflections. The owner, Anita, is very friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of wedding prep, not just buying the dresses. I also got some of my bridal accessories there. Everything came in on time with no stress, and Anita gave me nice discounts on everything I purchased. What I especially appreciated is that I could call her with questions anytime, could stop her store by if I needed additional color swatches, she recommended a very good seamstress for the dresses, and every time I communicated with her, she knew exactly who I was and what my bridal party was like. I was introduced to Anita by a friend of mine who was also getting married. She has a small but thorough collection of dresses, but also has access to any dress you could ever want. I shopped at a number of boutiques but called Anita before I ordered anything and got my bridesmaids dresses $30 cheaper than at any other place. Given I had 8 bridesmaids, this was a chunk of change! Anita was very responsive and very attentive. My sister, and maid of honor was traveling from Australia, and while we ordered the dresses with plenty of notice she still hadn't received the dress 3 days before she was leaving Australia (customs issue). We had less than 2 weeks till my wedding and Anita spent 2 straight days with me helping me find another dress that would match the style and color scheme. She called in favors, checked with vendors on in-stock dresses, and we were ready to purchase another great dress when my sisters dress finally arrived 24 hours prior to her departure from Australia. I have had the pleasure of working with Anita a few times now and every time has been wonderful! Love her and her collection!! Although her business is run out of her house, her collection is far from small! She has just about every dress you can find online, even brand new styles. She has a large range of sizes and I really appreciated that. Its easy to pull a dress back and visualize, but if a size 8 can't even get a dress over her hips, how can you figure out how it will look, especially on a size 14??? Having a size 10-12 in stock for samples is the best way to go!!! Thank you Anita for seeing the importance of that! She is a wonderfully kind woman that really cares about her brides! She was very accommodating when we had some last minute changes and very helpful when we needed suggestions. Of all the dress shops I have been to, Anita was by far the most pleasant, professional and helpful. I recently bought five bridesmaid dresses from Anita at Bridal Reflections. At first, I was curious about a shop run out of a house but Anita put me at ease. She is very professional and kind and really knows this business. You do not have to worry that she will mess up details. Unlike another shop which wouldnt disclose which brand of dress was which on the rack (this makes it very hard to see something that you only saw online), Anita was very accommodating. Anita has an excellent selection of dresses as well. The dresses arrived before the time Anita predicted and were in good shape. This is the perfect place for bridesmaids and special occasion dresses as Anita has a huge array of choices, much more than anywhere else you can go in person for the money. Avoid this place. So sketchy and the woman who works there is super rude! I went in February as part of a bridal party. I didn't catch the woman's name but she wasn't helpful and she did not say much of anything to us unless it was insulting. She also discouraged us from looking through her racks so we could make an informed purchase. We left before we were finished. It seems like a lot of people like her so maybe you have to catch her on a good day? Still if you catch her on a bad day, it's not worth it. I purchased my veil and one of my bridesmaids purchased her dress here, and it was a wonderful experience. Anita was very helpful and accommodating, and helped design a custom veil and headpiece that was absolutely perfect, and surprisingly inexpensive. I think the prices for the bridesmaid dresses here are very competitive, but the thing I liked best about Anita was that she really wanted me to be happy with my purchase - she wasn't in it just to make money (because she could have sold me a more expensive veil). And honestly, I was astounded that she went to so much trouble to help me given that I did not buy my gown there. She also recommended a wonderful tailor who did a great job altering my dress. I found this place through a designer's website - it was listed as a retailer near me. I thought I'd stop by with my MOH to see what it was like. It's a woman's house. We were totally sketched out and dared each other to ring the doorbell. Anita, a totally put-together woman, happily greets us (even though we were totally unexpected) offers to make us tea and takes us upstairs to a room filled with 600 dresses. Sounds weird, but it's GREAT. There is one of each style of dress. You dig through racks and find a dress in blue in a size 8, when really you want it in pink in a size 6, but you find another dress by the same designer in pink...so you use your imagination to ultimately place your order. There is a dress for everyone. Seriously. They are all discounted around 20-25% because Anita is great, and she doesn't have overhead from a store since it's in her house. After 2 hours (which is why she only does appointments) my MOH and I left knowing that no matter what, we would order from Anita because she knows her inventory better than anyone I've ever met, she is totally down-to-earth and she is there to help you, not make a deal. She is awesome. I brought 3 bridesmaids and my stepmother back for a 3 hour appointment and Anita never stopped zipping people in, clipping dresses back and offering ideas, input and enthusiasm. I can't recommend a better place for brides and bridesmaids. You get the best attention, the best knowledge, an insane selection and the comfort of being in a home instead of a store (ie. sitting on a couch, using a clean bathroom, having tea when the dresses make you weary and not having anyone else take your mirror or look you over).
