Picking out my dress with my mom and my bridesmaids felt like it was out of a movie - we had champagne and had so much fun picking out my dress! Now my wedding is in 2 months and Shadia has been great with my fitting appointments. Barb knew EXACTLY what I was looking for and was able to find me the most stunning dress and I even canceled another bridal shop appointment I had as a backup because I knew she found me the one. The process was stress free and easy because of Barb and Allegria Bridal and they are the reason I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. Barb let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and I did not feel pressured to purchase that day if I did not want to. My mom was with me and even mentioned how easy and fun the process was and she knew instantly Barb had helped me find the perfect dress. I even used them for gown cleaning and preservation after. I also went with their alteration services and Luciane of Boston was amazing to work with! The process was stress free and I enjoyed every appointment with Luciane. She scheduled as many appointments as we felt were best and even created a video for my train for my matron of honor. Luciane made the perfect alterations and my dress fit like a dream. I can't say enough great things about Barb and Allegria Bridal and Luciane of Boston. They contributed to my wedding day being so perfect and I highly recommend them!

Despite nearly three weeks advance time, she was notified two days before the appointment that several of her selections weren't available. For this, and for having only a small part of the online options actually in the store, I'm deducting one star. Aside from that, our experience here was great! Her bridal consultant (Ashley?) walked her through the racks pulling out dresses she thought might work, and listening closely to my daughter's likes and dislikes. She did focus mainly on "bridal" options, but my daughter also picked out a few from the less formal "reception" collection that were viable choices. We liked the wide price ranges to pick from to try on, but we're a bit disappointed that there were more polyester and fewer silk dresses in the mix. We (me, mother of the bride and the maid of honor/sister of the bride) appreciated the offer of prosecco at 10:30am! It was so fun watching the consultant cinch and pin the dresses to give us all a sense of how each dress would look. And of course to begin to imagine our baby in any one of these! After the hour & a half appointment, the bride got only a little pressure to buy, and left with a card listing the 2 dresses she really liked and was still considering. Since the wedding shop is housed within a "regular" Anthropologie, on the way out my elder daughter and I stopped to try on options for us - and we each bought the dress we'll be wearing on the big day! What a fun first wedding dress shopping experience!

    I had the most wonderful experience today at David's Bridal in Westwood, MA. I was nervous and a…read morelittle sad to be going alone, but my mom lives in NY and my bestie lives in Canada. However, these feelings quickly dissipated when Debbie assisted me with finding my dream dress. She found some beautiful dresses for me to try on and clearly has a skill for this as the first dress she handed me ended up being the one! She also matched the perfect veil and shoes to my dress. Debbie was so friendly, kind, and caring. After hearing how I was disappointed that my mom couldn't be there, she encouraged me to try my dream dress back on and video call my mom to include her. Once my mom was on the phone, she gave my mom a tour around my dress with close ups so she could get the full picture. Then, she handed me the bell so I could ring the bell with my mom on the phone to celebrate finding the one! Debbie not only made this experience more fun and comfortable than I had anticipated, but she truly went above and beyond. Thanks to Debbie, this day will be a day I remember and cherish forever! From her skillful pairing of dresses and accessories, to her kindness in including my mom, and her overall comforting and caring personality, this day has been one of my favorite days of elopement planning yet, and I've had a smile on my face ever since!

I was having a top/bodysuit handmade and just wanted a bottom to complete the look. It was definitely tougher than I thought it would be to find just a skirt! But then I remembered hearing and seeing "Your Dream Bridal" on Instagram and decided that I would support a fellow woman-owned business and make my first appointment with Malinda. Well, after that initial appointment, I never needed or wanted to look anywhere else! I told Malinda what I was looking for and even though she didn't have any separates in her shop at the moment, she would probably be getting some in in a couple months. So she helped me try on a bunch of dresses she had just so I could get an idea for the look I was trying to nail down. It was so helpful! Malinda books you the entire shop when you come in and gives you her undivided attention. Her knowledge of styles, designers and comfort level of different dresses (which was key for me!) is endless. I left with confidence that I would find the skirt I was dreaming of... and a couple months later, she emailed me to tell me that she got the separates in and we booked another appointment for that coming week! I only had to try on one to know it was the skirt I wanted. I did try on another for the heck of it, but really just to confirm that the first one was IT. I cannot wait to wear my dress this coming September! I love knowing that my dress will be unlike any other and that I could do it through an amazing, local, woman-owned small business. Malinda is the embodiment of #girlboss! Can't thank you enough, lady!

    I'll start by saying Malinda has an amazing selection of unique dresses, but I guess that's where…read moremy positive review ends. Everybody else on here seems to have had a great experience, so I guess Malinda hated me or something because my whole experience with her was really awkward and unpleasant. There was even a bit of lying involved. I don't like putting myself back into this negative space, but here's the story. I found a dress I loved at a designer in Brooklyn (Rebecca Schoneveld), and I tried it on at the designer's boutique shop there. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had with clothes. The store told me they had a seller in Massachusetts I could get in touch with to try on dresses again locally (bc I'm based in MA). That's how I found Malinda's store, and I got in touch. She told me that she was having a trunk show of Rebecca's dresses, and told me I could sign up, so I did. This ended up being a lie. I was excited for the trunk show, but I got there... no Rebecca Schoneveld trunk show! She had ordered the ONE dress the I liked and that was it. I didn't mention it because I felt awkward about it, and I tried that dress on again, along with another one from Malinda's collection. I still loved the Rebecca Schoneveld dress, but wasn't sure I was ready to buy right then (it was still way over a year before my wedding day!). I was also on the phone with my mom, who wanted me to wait. But even though I didn't feel ready to buy, Malinda pushed hard. I get that's her job as a sales person... but doesn't my experience also matter to her? "But isn't it too early to buy the dress?" I asked, "It's way over a year before my wedding..." She said that the dress wouldn't be ready until about Dec/Jan, 6 months months before my date in September. (Obviously I didn't want to hold onto the dress for an entire year... that's excessive.) Anyways, I was uncomfortable and was alone (and--to take full responsibility--I did think this dress was great), so I agreed. The dress did not come in December/January. It came in late august/early september, over a YEAR before my actual wedding day, which was what I wanted to avoid... Malinda immediately called me about picking it up, which I responded that I would prefer is she could hold onto it until at least when she said it would be ready. She agreed reluctantly. December rolls around and Melinda immediately hits me up with phone calls and messages telling me I need to rush to her store to pick up the dress for tax reasons. It was an incredibly busy time for me with the holidays, and the first time I scheduled to stop by didn't work out, and she said she "couldn't hold onto the dress much longer" and that she'd be happy to ship it to me. An hour after that terse email, she sent another really rude email: "Next week is crazy with holidays and brides. Let me know as soon as you can when you can come and pick up your dress or I will need to mail it to you so let me know what address. I mail FedEx with signature." Wow Malinda! Great to know you have ZERO time for me, even though I dropped over $2K at your store! Not to mention, the reason I got it from you, a local retailer in MA as opposed to the amazing, wonderful, heavenly Brooklyn boutique is so I can try it on again in front of a human being before I take it home, and not have it shipped to me! So rude. So awful. I emailed her back with the following: "I would really like to pick it up as opposed to shipping... Isn't there supposed to be a process of trying it on? I feel like you've rushed me through this whole process and it's actually really unpleasant, making what should have been a really magical purchase something very transactional and cold." After that, she turned up the sweetness and when I went to the store, she was just insanely fake and awkward and I just felt totally uncomfortable trying on the dress, which actually looked awkward in this new size 4, as the waistline was far lower in the larger size I tried on. Sigh. Hopefully some of this can be mitigated by a seamstress in alterations. I don't know what I did to deserve that treatment. I wish Malinda the best. I get she's a saleswoman with a family to feed, but dang, is it worth ruining people's experience? She made buying a wedding dress a very predatory, transactional and cold experience--literally everything you don't want in this happy time.
