I don't not recommend this tailor. I brought 7 blouses for alterations to be taken in. Two blouses had to be re-done because the sleeves were too tight and short. A third blouse was ruined. She didn't listen to what I was asking her to do and made it too small. The proportions were not correct. I wish I hadn't paid her in advance. Plus she took 2 months to complete. Not good. read more

I had such a great experience here! I brought in a few dresses that needed some adjustments, and the tailor did an amazing job. Each piece fit perfectly afterward--flattering, comfortable, and looking like they were made just for me. The tailor was professional, patient, and clearly experienced. They took the time to pin everything carefully, explain what alterations were needed, and make sure I was happy with the plan before getting started. The turnaround time was also very reasonable. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the care that went into the work. It's rare to find someone who does great tailoring. read more

*wedding dress alterations - brides please beware. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with not only a tailor but any type of customer service interaction. Bella is extremely unorganized, unprofessional and should not be in the bridal business. I cannot speak to tailoring she does outside of wedding dresses but in terms of wedding dress alterations- save yourself the added stress and tears and just go somewhere else. I dropped my dress off to Bella in May 2024. At the time I only needed a little bit taken in off my chest and a French bustle that we agreed upon. She told me to come back for pick up on July 29th, I paid in full that day and went on my way. When I arrived to my appt on July 29th the bustle was not only "not finished" it hadn't even been started, the pins were still in my dress. As my wedding isn't until 9/13 I was very patient and simply stated I would be back on 8/24 even though Bella's shop is a 1 hr drive each way for me. On 8/24 I was supposed to pick up the finished dress at 11:30AM- Bella texted me at 9AM that morning asking if I could come later that week as the bustle was STILL not done. Again, I was patient and offered to come on 8/31 at the same time (11:30AM) to pick up the dress. We are, at this point in time, 3 weeks away from my wedding day and the bustle is not done. On 8/31, Bella again texts me at 9Am and asks me to come at 5PM instead of 11:30 because the dress isn't done.....I called her and asked her what was going on. I asked if the dress was going to be done for my wedding and asked her to make sure the alterations are not rushed... we agreed I could come the following day 09/01. It is now 5.5 weeks past when I was supposed to have my dress completed and in my possession. I came to pick up the dress on 09/01 and the chest area was too big. This is not Bellas's fault as I have lost some weight over the last few months. We had a lengthy discussion about how she could fix it "no problem" and I could pick it up in a few days after she was done taking it slightly in. I was very hesitant to leave it with her at this point due to un organization I had experienced with her. She was INSISTENT that she could get it done for me. Actually using the words "very easy" We confirmed I would come today, 9/07 at 0900AM to finally get my dress. I texted her on Wednesday, 09/04 confirming the dress was being worked on and would be ready for 900AM pick up today. She responded to my text "yes" I arrived at the shop at 9AM and Bella was no where to be found. After calling and texting her she appeared at 9:20 while myself and another girl were waiting for her. She told the other girl to go try on her dress in the back and then proceeded to tell me for a 4th time now that the dress was STILL NOT DONE. Like it's not big deal she looks at me and says to "come back at 11:30 today." Needless to say I was extremely upset as I live an hour away and can't just "come back" as I'm writing this I am 5 days out from my wedding and do not have my wedding dress!!! She did not offer any type of refund or compensation for this disaster other than "I'm sorry." The disorganization and unprofessionalism (being late, missing appt times, last minute cancels, confusing brides with other brides?) is something like I've never experienced before. It's truly unbelievable how this woman has any sort of positive reviews. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, experience I cannot express how terrible these encounters have been. It's not like her alteration prices are inexpensive ? I paid a lot of money for this dress to be altered. Bella is an angel. About two months prior to my wedding, I took my wedding dress to another seamstress who not only was going to charge literally double for my alterations, but this other lady also didn't seem to know how to alter my dress correctly (the dress is very lacy and had intricate lace detail at the bottom). This other woman literally wanted to take shears and cut off the whole bottom detail and reattach it by hand, which is NOT what my BHLDN dress was designed to do for alterations. But thank god to my coworker who recommended Bella and thank god for Bella!! Thank goodness I was able to get my dress back from the other seamstress before she did anything to it and brought it over to Bella and she knew exactly what to do! She took the time to even button up the sheer button detail in the back of my dress to make sure everything fit in the back, on the sides, brought up the length of my dress, and was able to reattach the lace detail seamlessly. My dress also had a deep plunge which was way too open for my *ahem* assets, but she was also able to cover it over and blend all of the lace detail so well that it wasn't even noticeable at all! If you're in the area, I highly recommend Bella! She's just the sweetest and pays the most attention to detail, and was even able to do everything so well with a quick turnaround too. read more

I have been a client for about 4 years. She has been the only one able to hem suit jackets and blazers that have functional cuff buttons. If you have them and need them hemmed you know what I mean. She has hemmed and taken in shirts, pants and coats. Every time a great job. Really good finishing and stitching work (and I am really picky). If I had to mention a negative I would say she can underestimate the amount of time it takes to get the job done. If you have a strict deadline then let her know and give yourself a couple days of buffer. read more

Don't waste your time or money going here for alterations. I dropped off six items two weeks ago with today as the scheduled pick up date. I drove here today at 12PM and the shop was closed. I called and she told me to come back at 5PM. I explained to her that we are leaving for vacation so 5PM was the absolute latest we could do. She confirmed it would not be an issue. I came back at 5PM and she told me she needs until 6PM; I reluctantly agreed (I already paid in full and we need these items for our trip). I come back at 5:55PM for her to aggressively tell me I'm too early and that we agreed on 6:30PM - not true. She admitted she didn't start the SIX items until today and proceeded to ARGUE with me saying I have no right to be upset. Rule #1 of customer service: don't yell at your customers. Her pricing is NOT any cheaper than anywhere else in the area and her attitude/ overall lack of professionalism is disgusting. Take your business literally anywhere else. read more

I bought a fancy formal dress for a wedding two days before the event. When I got home I noticed that the spaghetti straps were a little frayed. The dress hung heavy on the hanger because of all the sequins. I emailed Bella that night to ask if she could reinforce both straps and add a little more padding to the bust. She responded in less than two hours. I met with her the next day and she agreed to fix the dress for me in under 24 hours. When I picked the dress up it was perfect!! My wedding dress was in the BEST hands with Bella. She took in the waist, removed layers of tulle, hemmed the bottom, and added bustling buttons to the back. I had the hem of a gown shortened and the straps shortened. I came to my appointment nicely dressed. She charged me $30 for the hem and $60 for the straps. I can see now, from these reviews about cheap prices and from her (cheaper) website prices, that she took advantage of me because she thought I had money. She overcharged me, and I'm a struggling law student with thousands in loans. I will not be coming here again. Make sure she doesn't overcharge you too. read more

Bella does quality work. I will continue to use her. But, it will only be for items you don't need within a week. Bella doesn't always have work completed on the quoted day.
