I went to this store looking for a mother of the groom dress. When I entered, the owner did not even acknowledge me, I looked and saw a gown that I liked but not my size, I approached her and asked if she could order it for me, her first response was " these dresses are more expensive than the price that is in the tags " I said to her that I didn't even look at the tag, I just like the dress. She completely ignored me and started talking on the phone. This woman was so rude to me, I felt so humiliated. Yesterday I went for my appointment for a mother of the groom dress and was very disappointed. Not only was the shop shabby and old, the customer service was awful. I asked for help with style and the sales woman was too busy on the phone. No help whatsoever. In addition, when my daughters and I found our own dresses for me to try on, the saleswoman didn't help with zipping the dress or clipping when it was too big. This was not a shop I would recommend - it looked more like a consignment shop than an expensive formal dress boutique. We lasted about 30 minutes and finally left for another boutique. What a terrible experience. I had an appointment to look for mother of the bride dresses. I was barely acknowledged when I walked in. I was working with Barbara who honestly didn't welcome me or seem to care at all about what I had to say. We had a short conversation about what I was looking for. I was very open to different styles but honestly, Barbara seemed very annoyed at some of my answers. She was on the phone almost the entire time I was in the store. No help in the dressing room - no asking me how things fit, no help whatsoever. To top of the awful experience, I was told in a scolding manner that I couldn't take any pictures of me in the dresses. I went gown shopping and was not optimistic! I'm not a small woman. Bloomingdales, Newman, Saks in NY and discouragement. A lady from Bloomingdales actually suggested I go to a touch of Klass. Met Barbara and her daughter, they had been moving clothes to have the room painted and seemed exhausted but they persevered and pulled out gowns for me to try. I went in there with my mother and the rude store clerk was asking me questions as if my mom did not speak English. My mom butted in and informed her that she speaks English. We are indian and maybe we are the first she has ever met. After my mom unwillingly tried some styles on we decided to search around more and this same store clerk seems pissed about our decision. I recently purchased a social dress for an extended business trip. Although I wanted red, I deferred to the owner's suggestion of black. I'm glad I listened as the dress looks wonderful and it makes much more sense to wear black and change the accessories. I think I will be able to wear it 4-5 times w/o looking the same. If I could give them zero stars I would. This was the rudest experience ever. I can deal with rude in Paris but not canton ma where the dresses are nothing special. If you have no style and are the mother of bride or groom these women can help you. But if not, you can find more stylish dresses and no attitude elsewhere. My sister and I walked in with jeans and boots. They were so dismissive. My sister is petite and they were throwing any dresses at her even though they were not petites. They were not going to let her go without a dress. They even suggested that one dress rack might be over her price range. Little did they know her price range was 1500for a dress. I took my 87 year old grandmother here to look for a dress for my wedding and the owner helped us. She was understanding with what my grandmother was looking for while still being respectful of my tastes. They have an old fashioned approach to helping women find the dresses that will suit them that some might find rude but at least they are honest. Their prices are not inexpensive but again.. you are not buying off the rack and most of their dresses are ordered to your suiting. This is a very unassuming shop. When I walked in I was sure I would leave without finding a dress. Boy, was I wrong!!! The women who own this store, along with their employees, really know how to dress you. They have been dressing women for special occasions for many years and it shows. After 10 minutes I felt as though I was spending a Saturday afternoon with family....I didn't want to leave! The dress I choose was short, I wanted it long. Sadly I find this business to only earn two stars in my opinion. I have worked retail for many years and understand how hard it can be, but I was absolutely shocked at the low grade customer service that I was given at this boutique today. I feel as if I was not acknowledged right away, as if I was lost and entered the wrong shop, I admit, I know I am not their main clientel-I was searching for vintage bridal accessories. Once the store associate asked what she could help me with she showed me what she could due to my request and then left me to tend on another customer. I gained her attention again to help me look at jewelry items in the counter, in which she would leave the counter after giving me an item with out saying anything (such as "I'll be right back if you need something" etc.) I had to keep tracking her down in the little shop to look at a few items. I did ask a price of an item I wished to buy, which she did not know anything about but offered to look it up since I had another store I was visiting. I came back later and she explained she did not have any time to look it up and made up a price. My experience there made it very clear that they did not value my business, I was quite put off by the lack of customer service and lack of basic social skills that I sought to bring my business elsewhere. I hope the shop can improve the way they address their customers in the future, otherwise I do not foresee the business doing well in the long run. My mother went to this store after having a bad experience at other stores preparing for my sisters wedding. She was thrilled with the service she received including the owner going above and beyond to make sure my mother left happy and confident for my sisters wedding. She found the store to be fairly organized and the consultants to be interested in her wants and personal styles. Like another reviewer mentioned the consultant did ask her price range but my mother found the question to be more of a consideration then an insult. If my mother had fallen in love with a dress that was above her price range she would have left disappointed, instead she is looking forward to looking and feeling her best at my sisters wedding read more

Ew! The website looks great, but not indicative of the store. Pretty old and shabby looking; dresses stuffed into racks. Not at all what I expected - if you are looking for a bridal shop then this will probably suit you. I expected a 'boutique' atmosphere with space to look at every dress. A couple of elderly woman (owners?) greet you and ask a number of questions - mostly mundane and none of their business. The lady that greeted me then said: "Our dresses start at $300 and go up from there, is that okay for you?" I should have turned around and left at that point as the shoes on my feet were well above the $300 mark, but I was curious so said it was no problem. She then proceeded to 'pick out' dresses for me. I did try on a few - again, I am curious. In the end, the dresses I liked were $700 and up and I didn't LOVE any of them. Wouldn't waste my time if you are looking for something unique. read more

The name of the store is a misnomer. If you want to be ignored and disregarded, this is the place for you! My daughter and I went to this store on Wednesday night June 6, 2012 to look for a dress for me for my daughter's upcoming wedding. I had gone there the previous Saturday, and the sales person was somewhat helpful until she got bored with me and started offering suggestions to another woman there who was already being helped by another employee. I did find some dresses that I liked, and she wrote down the style numbers and prices. Today, when I walked in, the salesperson did not acknowledge me because she was helping another person. Eventually she came out of the dressing area, and I asked if she could get the dresses she had previously written down for me. Meanwhile my daughter was looking around the store and bringing me dresses. The entire time I was there the salesperson never asked if I needed help and never asked how things were going. She did come by and ask which dresses I didn't want. I should also point out that the seamstress saw that my daughter was struggling, and she came over and helped out. I was intending on trying on the dresses that we liked again; however, while I was outside of the dressing room looking in the mirror, the salesperson (and I am using that term loosely) went into my dressing room and removed all of the dresses and placed them on racks near the dressing room. As my daughter began collecting the dresses that we liked to bring them back to me, the salesperson gave my daughter a dirty look and then told her to only take in one at a time because she wanted to put them away. I decided at that point there was no way I was going to buy anything at this store - even though I have bought several dresses from here in the past, despite the consistency of receiving rude service. I put my clothes back on, asked the salesperson if she could write down the style numbers and prices, as she had done for me on Saturday (these were different dresses). She looked at me as if I had 2 heads, and I said never mind I will write them down myself. I left the store feeling angry. Why should any customer be treated as if they are irrelevant and that their money isn't good enough? Though I may not look like a wealthy suburban matron, she has no idea what is in my bank account, and I will be spending my $1000+ somewhere else. Go to La Bottega (Rhode Island) or Toshiko (Southborough, MA). They will be very helpful and treat you with respect. read more

Not only did they have a wide variety to choose from, but when she lost a lot of weight between ordering and her fitting, they helped her with the necessary alterations. This shop has designer clothing for special occassions. The issue is that one can easily spend close to a thousand dollars and not be able to return unworn, still tagged garments unless it is 24 hours from the purchase time. Way too much to spend with such a restricted return policy. Other speciality boutiques do not follow this rule. read more

Don't waste your time unless you want to get ignored and insulted by the rude saleswomen. Visited on 4/13/13. I traveled a distance to shop here, had to circle around several times to find parking. Finally make it into the store and was pleased initially to be greeted right away by a salesperson. From there it went down hill. After asking what my mom was looking for and she selected something, I checked the price tag and told the woman that it was above our price point (since she never asked). She then "disappeared in this tiny store and I at first thought she was looking for outfits for us. Then I looked to see that she was "pretending" to assist another woman who already had a salesperson assisting her. We continued to look through 2 racks on our own, found some pant outfits and I then approached the saleswoman a couple of more times. She would not help. I asked about one of the designers that I am pretty sure can be ordered as separates. She said she didn't know. Ok, so she doesn't know the merchandise. Was she willing to ask someone to get an answer for me? Absolutely NOT. I was very direct and asked if she could look up the info. Then I asked if she could call the company. She finally said she'd find out the middle of next week once she attended a trade show. I asked if it was possible to make a call and I'd call her on Monday but she said no because she would not be in the store Monday. Could she have someone else do the research and I could call late in the day? Answer was no. I finally realized that since I wasn't planning to buy the most expensive items in the store she wanted to have nothing to do with us. I have never quite experienced behavior like this. I was looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding and found a wonderful option here. Barbara, the owner, asked me a few questions and then expertly guided me to 2 choices, the second of which I ordered. She even made some suggestions as to color, sleeve length, dress length which I very much appreciated. She measured me and the dress fit perfectly when it came in. When I picked it up, I complimented Barbara on her dress and wound up buying a dress by that designer. The color is totally different from what I usually wear and it is a welcome change. The true test - the husband opinion - he loves it! My experience with Touch of Klass started off bad when I called to ask there hours. There response was, "I guess we can wait for you." I took my mom here for a mother of the brides dress for my wedding on a Thursday night around 5:00, they didn't close until 8:00. We walked into two cranky old women employees. They asked my mom what her price range was and she said that if she really liked the dress then she would spend whatever she needed too and they laughed at her and said no really what is your price range. So rude! My mom tried on a few dresses that were not her style whatsoever but they insisted she tried them on so she did. The employees almost got mad when she said she didn't like them. We tried to explain what my mom was looking for and the women said "I know." Everything was "I know". Well obviously not because you are not showing us anything we like! They thought they knew it all! The whole experience was very uncomfortable for both of us. We ran out as fast as we could! read more

I had a completely different experience than most of the reviewers here. The staff was pleasant, attentive and helpful. They have strong opinions and aren't shy about expressing them. These are beautiful, mature women with a no nonsense attitude. If they ask you what your price range is, it is so they can help you find dresses in your range for heaven's sake, not to insult you. If you don't have a price limit, say so! This store carries dresses for formal events. You will not find dresses to go clubbing in. The sales ladies will bring you pieces to try on and there will likely be some you don't like - I found they were not offended if I simply said I didn't like something. They're trying to get an idea of your tastes. I felt they were very honest and candid in their feedback. As it turned out, I didn't find the right dress here because most of their dresses were not my style. Still, it was definitely worth looking. I needed a dress for my son's wedding. I had been to all the usual places. I did find a great dress, but the experience there will prevent me from 'ever' going back. First of all when she went to take my measurements for the order I suggested that we do it in the dressing room so it could be with just my undergarments on; like every other place I had been to. She said 'No it wasn't necessary'. She insisted that I needed a size 2 sizes larger than the sample I had tried on that was tight, but did fit and zipper. She also insisted that I needed a 'split size' of larger on the bottom. Although the other person working there tried to tell her it wasn't necessary she wouldn't listen and said no. She doesn't include alterations like everyone else, including Tsomiko in Framingham, and when I went to pick it up there was an 'extra' $45 on the bill. I asked what that was for and she said: 'For the split size YOU insisted on'. After reading other YELP reviews, something I obviously should have done first, I saw similar complaints. The women who does her alterations was lovely and I will use her directly in the future, also told me that the size was a full size to big for. She took in at least 1" on each side as well as having to take in the jacket. So between her $45 extra and extra alterations she cost me close to $100. Stay away!!! read more
