Okay I wish I could give 2 different reviews but I can't. So 1. Our consultant was amazing BUT check out took longer than our whole appointment. We waited 33-45 mins to check out. HOW RIDICULOUS?! No apologies- no thanks for your patience. read more

We have shopped here many times as my daughters were growing up for prom dresses, bridesmaids dresses, even one wedding dress. But it is not the same unfortunately. I made an appointment to shop for a MOB dress. They even called to confirm the appointment the day before. Unfortunately, they had three appointments at the same time (10:30am) and only one consultant. I fended for myself as the other two were brides but even they had to share which is not right. MOB selection was slim and mainly in Plus sizes. read more

I'm personally not a fan of David's Bridal because they don't seem to have any sustainable or ethical practices within their company which concerns me about where these dresses are made and what not. Anyway, I'm a bridesmaid this year and needed to pick up a dress in the same color, so I came here to figure out my dress size in the cut I needed to match the other girls. I figured that out with someone, ordered my dress and picked it up a week later. My dress came in faster than I expected, however the fit was tighter than I expected. The woman helping me said that the fabric stretches, so I need to wear it around the house in order to stretch it out. Honestly, does anyone have time for that? I'll figure that out on my own, but I wish I knew that before buying the dress. Since I was here for a bridesmaid dress and not a bride's dress my guess is my experience is pretty standard and straight forward. The process was quick and fairly simple. I honestly would recommend finding a dress at a thrift store or an eco-friendly/sustainable company before coming here. read more

I came here in search of a wedding dress. My budget is a little tight since I will be getting married in Hawaii, so I was looking for a pretty dress for a budget-friendly reasonable price. I didn't want to spend too much on a dress that I will only wear for a few hours. The stylist that helped me with the dress selection process (JESSICA) was AMAZING! She was so easy to work with and was quick in selecting dresses that she thought I would like. She knew exactly what was in the store and after I tried on a few dresses, was able to pinpoint exactly what I was looking for. Within 45 minutes, I said "yes" to the most beautiful wedding dress. Dress fit perfectly and the only alterations I will need is hemming on the bottom. Jessica really made the dress selection process incredibly easy and fun! I highly recommend her as a stylist. Store itself is clean, well-organized, friendly staff. read more

Finding a bridesmaid stress has been quite challenging, however Jessica has been phenomenal and trying to help get exactly what I want and what the bride wants. She is super helpful and took her time and was very patient trying to make sure that everybody was happy with my dress. Though the color that the bride wants is very difficult to find in in my size, she has tried every avenue to get the best dress and color for me. I highly recommend this David's bridal but more importantly I highly recommend seeking Jessica she is great! read more

I Never leave reviews but this one really upset me. Not only am 8 Month pregnant dealing with bridezilla herself but I also had the displeasure of dealing with GINA and SELENA! I was told early on when I purchased my brides maid dress to get a bigger size in case I happened to gain weight During my pregnancy and that they would just alter it, waive the rush fees and all! they Quoted me a set price of $85 which I genuinely thought was a bit pricy considering the fact it was more than the dress itself but I was just greatful they waived the fees and locked me in at $85. Now come to TWO weeks before my aunts OUT OF STATE wedding I'm getting fitted for my dress alterations which is still 2 sizes too big but now Selena is telling me my alterations are going to be $138!!!!! Now how the HELL did I go from $85 to $138 I don't understand myself when I was specifically told $85. I tried explaining this to her and she just looked at my like I had grown 2 heads lol she got Gina who helped lower the price but it was still over $100 when I explained to her how inconvenient this was since again I didn't have time to find anyone else in the mean time she told me I could get a lower price if my aunt was a diamond rewards member (which she was) only to then tell me that she miss read the paper and it's actually only for the brides! again I would have completely understood that except for the fact She had told me it would be -$15 if we were diamond member. so it would have been $90 total only $5 more than what I was originally quoted. If I'm being so honest i really wanted to go off on them but did my best to keep my composure however I don't believe either of them should be in the field of customer service with their poor communication skills. Please keep This in mind when going into this store, always get names and always make sure they know what they are talking about before agreeing to anything. read more

Good selection of dresses my dress picking went to a totally different direction! Go with an open mind! I dont know what I expected, but maybe something like say yes to the dress. I had no clue how exhausting and overwhelming the process was. I am a person who is overly prepared. I had my dresses saved in my profile and was ready to go. I didnt expect the dresses to look so different when I put them on. However, my experience was great despite not feeling well at all. My stylist was Alisha and poor thing was so patient with me. This was my first ever time looking for my wedding dress and she was so patient, I was not rushed or made to feel like I had to make a decision that day. There was no pressure on her part at all. Although I found one I loved, I didnt want to make a decision that day. My only reservation was it was crowded and loud. I wish there was more room to walk, take pictures but people were in the way, sharing mirrors. It would be great if they limit the amount of people who you can bring. But I will defiantly go back. read more

I went here with my friend who is getting married to look for her wedding dress. Suzy was our consultant and she was so great! She respected the budget and wasn't pushy in trying to sell us extras or things we weren't looking for. And she was so helpful in the decision making process and showed us different ways we could customize the dress (add sleeves, a belt, lace, etc.) to make the dress THE one. Also she was super fun and kind as well. We ended up finding the dress there all thanks to Suzy!! read more

I'm a covid bride but I didn't feel much of this pain at all here. I got assigned to Mimi and it was the biggest blessing. She is sweet, soft spoken, patient, knowledgeable and cared so much about every detail for me. I visited 3 different times before my big "say yes to the dress moment" and she was patient every single time. She was so nice to all family and bridesmaids that came along too. Erin, one of the Mgrs was also very nice and helped in rounding out a GREAT experience. The store is clean, well lit and they have a good variety of merch and dresses. All the dresses I like were very expensive but in the end it was worth it and I'm so happy. Tysm Mimi and DB!! read more

I had an amazing experience at David's Bridal in Springfield shopping for my wedding dress. I booked my appointment online for a Friday afternoon, and the store was super quiet when I arrived, which was great. I checked in and then browsed dresses for a while before meeting my wonderful stylist, Melissa. Melissa was amazing and pulled the dresses I had chosen to try, and then added a few of her recommendations which I loved. She was super helpful and bubbly, and made the experience so much better than I could have expected. I found my dress and I love it! I definitely recommend coming in during the week if possible - I really enjoyed having the changing room area and show area all to myself. read more

I was needing my bridesmaids dresses and we went there to find it. It was a very pleasant experience! We had a very good treatment and we were able to find the dresses. I even bought my wedding shoes and rehearsal shoes as well. read more

I made an appointment at David's bridal and brought my mother, fiancé's mother, and my bridesmaids. I called ahead to confirm the selection range, and dress sizes that would be available. Of course, I understood that not every dress would have all sizes available, it is not possible. Once we started looking for dresses, our stylist was less than helpful. I told her my dress size and she proceeded to bring almost all of them a sizes smaller. For almost every single dress I was told that they didn't have my size. I was walking out in dresses...STUFFED in them. I felt humiliated and asked for larger sizes, but they didn't have them. I normally take a size 10 or 12. Her response was "you look great" ... I clearly expressed I was uncomfortable, the pressure of showing off the dresses to family and my wedding party got the worst of me. The dresses on clearance were also poorly taken care of; rips, makeup stains, broken zippers, missing button pieces, tangled sparkles in chiffon, ripped beading. Coming out in a "showcase room" with several other families trying on dresses made the experience impersonal. David's Bridal should consider putting up curtain barriers between the fitting sections so families have some privacy instead of feeling like they are sharing their day with other families in close proximity. I could hear the comments from other families. Not what I imagined or expected. Once I tried on several dresses and came to the decision that I was not purchasing a dress, our stylist basically ignored us and no longer offered solutions to us. We were "dismissed". She did not offer to pull more dresses, schedule another appointment, or seek another advisor's input. My bridesmaids looked at some dresses too, but the limitation on our timeframe (30 minutes) made us feel rushed. We were no longer helped, our stylist just walked off. I would NEVER recommend David's Bridal to anyone, not any location, not for any occasion. I will not be giving them a single penny. read more

I went in a bought a dress for my micro-mini wedding in August. I had my alterations appointment in September and when I picked up the dress yesterday was nearly in tears. (I had been second dressing my choice but that wasn't it.). The lining didn't match, my 'invisible zipper' showed and looked awful... I came back today and they couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating! From offering my dress (in a bigger size) altered, different shape wear options they were professional and complimentary. When the manager saw my face she took the words out of my mouth and said she could tell I wasn't happy. I explained I question how much had to do with the style and the fact I felt I bought a summer dress. Immediately I was assisted in finding the right dress for me. The managers, sales reps, alterations... were all there making me feel like the only person in the store. Based on my timeline I was limited to what was in stock but found my dress. I have an appointment for alterations and my dress will be altered and customized for my December wedding! Additionally, they gave me store credit to use towards alterations since my new dress is cheaper! read more

A couple weeks ago, I was lucky enough to find THE dress on my first appointment. Kidist was my stylist and she was so helpful, (extremely) patient, friendly and sincere. The store had a great selection of dresses. I had already picked a few that caught my eye online and was lucky that they had samples for most of them. Ultimately, I went with the dress that my best friend picked out. As if that wasn't enough, I was also fortunate enough to get my accessories in the same appointment like a belt with matching tiara, and my beautiful double veil with simply beading. I can't believe I even had my bridal moment and cried when I knew my dress was the one and rang the bell in the store. I also love how my dress actually arrived at the store much earlier than they gave me an estimate for! They said maybe March or April but I just picked it up last weekend! What was also nice was when I came to pick it up and Kidist remembered me and assisted me once more in trying the dress. I'm grateful to David's Bridal for having my dream dress and for Kidist for her sincere support and amazing customer service! read more

These ladies are phenomenal. From the moment you walk through the door, they put you at ease and truly help you achieve the look you want. I can't say enough about how professional they all are, or how kind and accommodating. I went all by myself to try on wedding dresses, but they made me feel like I had my own circle of women there to help - with ideas, with fit, with options, and most importantly with helping me to get in and out of them. I absolutely adore the dress I decided on, and it was so affordable that even with alterations it was well within my rather meager budget. read more

I am not someone who would normally leave a review (especially one that is negative) because I try to see the best in people rather than harbor on negativity. But I had to come on here and advise other brides to NOT patronize the Springfield, VA location. I am a covid bride, just like many other women, and we have suffered enough this year. The treatment that I have received has been deeply upsetting. I picked up my dress in March of this year (right as the whole world seemed to be shutting down) and 10 days later the price dropped 25%. I reached out to corporate asking them to refund the price difference, and in return I was told to talk to the Springfield store manager, Sally. Since then I've had multiple conversations back and forth with customer services, as well as the store manager and they have not given me the time of day. Each call I was rushed off the phone quicker than the last, and I was laughed and scoffed at. And each time, I held back my emotions and thanked them for their time. As someone who purchased an expensive wedding dress and veil, as well as 5 bridesmaids dresses from their corporate store, I had higher expectations for the way this all would be handled. I understand that this year has been difficult on everyone, but there is no excuse for treating customers with the disrespect I feel I have received from David's Bridal. 5 star service - ask for Lisa! I went in this evening to David Bridal for a dress. It was super bowl Sunday and they were mercifully open till 7 pm. I had an idea of what I wanted - a tea length dress. Given that I have hips that are almost a size larger than my top, it is quite tricky for me to find something. The receptionist Jasmine (there are two by the same name!) paired me with a personal dresser by the name of Lisa. Lisa was courteous and professional. She selected a few options for me and set up dressing booth No 16 (one of my lucky numbers! How did she know?!) The Oleg Cassinis were amazing - but I have to say, I had underestimated how much fabric a wedding dress has. Even the simplest ones have layers and textures sewn into every possible corner conjuring up images of stuffed crust pizza made of lace-and-sequins. The sizes at DB run on the smaller side so you have to be open to trying on larger sizes. Also it's important to be flexibke - the dress you originally had in mind might not be the one that you will walk out with. Lisa brought me some suggested bra inserts that would work with the dresses, and shoes and footsies for a complete look. She also stayed close to help me zip up / button up. Several tries in, I found the one! It was a Wen and even it fit really well (and it was on sale!) Lisa pinned a floral clip to my hair and took me to the stage area, where I could see the dress on me through front and rear mirrors. I was happily surprised at how comfortably the fabric fell around my hips. There is a tradition at DB that when you find the dress you make a wish and ring a bell - I made my wish and jangled that bell like a town crier with a headline! Hope the wish comes true! My fiancé took a video which we will save for the wedding album. The dress needs some minor alterations around the shoulders. There is an extra charge for this - but I'm glad it's being done by their in-house seamstress. The dress must be picked up on a weekday - and I will wear it on Feb 29, 2016! Thank you Lisa, for helping me find the dress! read more

I walked into the store around 3,30 May 11. There was one other customer in the store and several employees. I was in the store for 10 minutes. At no time did anyone greet me or ask if I needed any help. I would not recommend. Just because I am not a traditional bride doesn't mean service should be any different. I will not be returning to the store. My daughter and I both got married and got our dresses elsewhere. read more

Please read before you go there! My first experience with David's Bridal at Potomac Mills was perfect. They helped me a lot. They were very nice and kind people. They don't judge you when you can not afford an expensive dress. They only try to find you the best you can afford. Unfortunately, I could not make up my mind at David's Bridal at Potomac Mills. I and my mom went to Springfield location on 01/14/2022. Before I picked a dress, I explained the sales person that I don't want very expensive dress because we are about to open a new business and I don't want to spent thousands for a wedding dress. I just picked a dress because I felt like I had to pick a dress because it is my second time at David's Bridal. I wish I picked my dress from Potomac Mills location. I am normally size 4, I wore a size 2 dress but the dress on the top fit little bit big to me and small on the bottom part. The dress itself costs $300. I also asked for some veils I saw online. The sales rep brought me those but I did not like them. My mom does not speak English and she only came to the USA for my wedding. She tried to ask the sales rep. to see a longer one, but the sales representative showed the money sign with her hand, putting her hand in front of my mom's face, saying they are expensive. My mom was shocked and looking at me trying to understand if she says that we are cheap and we can not afford it. I felt like I was gonna cry because I felt so bad when I saw my mom's face. That was an embarrassing experience she has to face in the USA. There was different ways to explain for a sales rep the cost of the long veils are expensive and if we want to see them or not. I asked how much it cost to fix the loose top part of the dress, they said $20, also they gave me price if wanted to make the dress little looser on the bottom part which is $65. I agreed to do only the top part and not the bottom part. While I was going inside for alteration, they said they also fix the length as well and they did not tell me how much it cost. I went inside for alteration to fix the top part which is $20. They gave me a empty form which shows all the alteration services they provide. The alteration lady asked me to fill the form which is my name, address, phone number and signature. She made me to signed the empty form which has no pricing on it before I wore the dress for alteration. The lady started to measure the length of the dress which I did not request but I thought it is a regular procedure since I never bought a wedding dress before. Then, she asked me if it is ok and cut the dress's first layer. I said ok without knowing anything about the procedure. I was fine with the dress length but it would be better if it is shorter I had no special request for the dress length!! After she cut the first layer, she asked me when I need the dress which I needed for February 5 2022. Then said I need to pay for rush fee which is $60. So I am giving the dress on January 14 and taking back on feb 3 and she is charging me $60. I was like ok, but why nobody told me about that! Then, I asked so what is the total cost! She said $200 for the dress length and plus the top part and plus $60 rush fee. That means I am paying almost $300 for alteration for a dress costs $300!! Seriously, what it is that!! I said, I apologize that I am lost and I don't know what is going on! She cut my dress before I made a payment for the alteration and I already purchased the dress, no way to return it after she cut it! I went to explain myself to the front desk. I believe I talked to the manager! She was pretty helpful. She told me nobody can cut the dress, before I agreed on the price. I said nobody told me about rush fee or other fees except $20 which I just wanted to fix the top of the dress which was loose. The alteration lady started to lie and I was so tired to argue with her. She was saying she told me. It was very clear she just tried to sell her alteration to me with the sale rep. I tried to be calm while I was shaking crazy. My mom was crying seeing me like that in the car. ( I took her to the car before I went to talk to the manager). Thanks to god, the manager said she will cover the mistake and only charged me $60 rush fee. I could not sleep until I get the dress. I cried for days wondering how the dress will come. The dress came ok but it was the worst experience you can have while buying your wedding dress! I wish I never went there! read more

I had an amazing experience here and am so thankful to the stylist Theresa for helping my find my dream dress. I actually came here after having ordered a dress at another Davids bridal that I changed my mind about. The person who made the appointment was very helpful and reassuring that this was no big deal. I had an appointment on a Friday evening and they were ready for me when I showed up. Theresa was patient and helpful and I observed her being helpful and nice to the other party in there as well (even as the one woman had a baby that she was letting run all over the place). To Whom it May Concern, First let me start by saying I am a bride. I am very excited to be getting married in the next 35 days to my best friend. I did not say yes to the dress at a David's Bridal but I did try on my first wedding dress in one of your locations. I did however fall in love with the Vera Wang collection made for David's Bridal and so I picked those as my bridesmaid dresses. My complaint is simple and could have been easily avoided. I called your Springfield, Virginia location to make an appointment to have my dress altered. At this point I was given a few dates and times that would work. The one specific thing the lady who made my alteration said to make sure to bring my undergarments and shoes. I must say it is my first time getting married and being such an obvious novice I do not have much experience. David's Bridal only alters designers that they sell. This is not my problem I can see how that is valid. I did assume that they do outside dresses as well because I know they sale so many dress designers. My issue is at no point did the consultant ask me if I had bought my dress at David's Bridal since they do not do outside dresses. This is where I say my issue could have been handled instantly and no one would have been inconvenienced. Unfortunately, this was not the case my alteration appointment was made a week later I show up to the Springfield, Virginia location completely excited and overwhelmed of course my bridesmaids did not know it because I was trying to be the composed bride. I had been waiting for my first dress fitting for quite some time to have the aha moment all over again, to have people swoon over me another time. Due to your lack of checks and balances instead of feeling an aha moment and swooning I was leaving feeling stressed and extremely frustrated. I was told after I handed over my dress my bag with undergarments and my shoes that there was nothing they could do. I was treated as if was my fault that I made an appointment somewhere that does not do outside dresses. Why would it not be your job to go through some sort of checklist when making appointments. When I tried to get the name or some information on whoever made my appointment I was told that the system does not keep track of who makes the appointments. Feeling deflated I went to the front counter and asked for the store managers card. We were offered the contact information of the Springfield David's Bridal seamstress but we obviously would have to call and schedule for another day and that location would have been in Ashburn Virginia. I called the number to the customer service line I spoke to an associate and explained my dilemma and that I would like to speak to a regional or district manager. She said she understood and would get someone on the phone for me, I was on hold for 18 minutes. After my very long hold a lady got on the phone and introduced herself and said she had heard about what had happened. I asked her if she was a manager because that is who I was waiting on. She said no that she was an associate just like the girl who had originally put me on hold. How is it that I wait 18 minutes to speak to a manager and you can only manage to come back with a copy of the same person I started with. I felt like it was that old cubicle trick where you ask the person next to you to play manager so then you do not have to get the real manager involved. I asked for a managers name or some sort of way to contact them and all I was given was the dbcustomerservice@dbi.com email. Overall I am disappointed and saddened about my David's Bridal experience. 35 days out from my wedding I would like to have less stress. I did not appreciate how I was handled and that my complaint was made to feel unimportant. I would like to speak to a regional/district manager as soon as possible. Ashley Wesley read more

G-H-E-T-T-O The asian alterations lady acted as if she didn't want to touch me. Not to mention she rushed the fitting. The dressing rooms are DIRTY and the size of xtra small closets. The curtain didn't shut on the sides so I had ZERO privacy. I could see a whole family from the side if my curtain, meaning, a whole family could see me undress. The prices of alterations are a guessing game. I talked the lady down on the price of taking up a half 'sleeve' due to the sheet stating 'sleeves'. Beatrice was not friendly. I really just want to cry. This is NOT the type of experience one should be having while preparing for such a happy day. HORRIBLE! Just HORRIBLE! *Update: I was at least contacted and apologized to for my experience. I was told training would be reiterated in the alterations dept. That's a START... read more

Such a scam! Weddings are expensive enough as it is but this place apparently likes to rip you off even more. I came here as a bridesmaid. We tried on dresses and they told me the dress I chose needed custom measurements and thus would be non-refundable. Okay, fine. You would expect the dress to fit beautifully since they did custom measurements and charged me extra for it, but it didn't. It must have been two sizes too large and about a foot too long! I get the length thing sort of... better too long than too short... but a foot?! They DID measure me! Well, I called to ask if I could bring it in for alterations and they told me it would be ~$65 for the hem alone!!! That's more than halfway to buying a whole new dress!! Not to mention... didn't they measure me and charge me extra for the service already??! I ended up taking it to a dry cleaner's and getting it hemmed as well as having the straps taken up a bit for the same price. It was still a bit of a loose fit (did I mention they took my measurements?) but I couldn't afford to have it taken in on top of everything else. So, all that for a dress I will never wear again and in which I did not even look my best since it was loose where it should have been flattering. read more

Let me preface this with the fact that I already had a wedding gown, purchased 10 months prior, from Ellie's Bridal of Alexandria. That dress was incorrectly measured and came two sizes too small. After an awful experience with the owner, in addition to awful reviews in regard to alterations, I felt it was necessary to get a new gown. The original gown I chose because it was one of two sample sizes I fit into so, when I went to David's Bridal two months prior to my wedding and explained the situation, I was only looking for a gown similar to the original one I bought. I figured I looked awful in all other styles because Ellie's crammed me into dresses that were five sizes (or more) smaller than I wear. David's Bridal was completely willing to listen to the situation and the need to get a gown in as quickly as possible. They began hunting down gowns but first checked to ensure they could be delivered by mid-September (my wedding was Nov. 5) before even showing me the dresses. This was great, because there was no risk of my falling in love with a dress I had no way of getting on time. Not only that, but all sample dresses were my size. I wasn't forced to squeeze into anything small. This actually opened a world of opportunity for me as I was able to see myself in a number of different bridal styles and pick out the qualities of the gowns I liked or disliked, rather than focusing solely on the fact that I was squeezed into a dress that was five sizes too small. That alone was an eye opening experience. I wanted to try and turn the experience from one of stress to one of enjoyment, so I decided to try on the dresses the store associate brought over. She brought one of every style and to my surprise, one that was strapless and in a blush tone. I never considered strapless or blush, but the style was what I had always wanted in a gown but opted not to get previously because I had, once again, been squeezed into the wrong size and thought I looked awful. However, trying on this style in a size that fit caused me to realize that it was exactly what I wanted. After the awful experience of being incorrectly measured at the other bridal store and having the wrong gown size delivered, I was very nervous about the sizing of this new gown. Yet David's Bridal was willing to have not one, but three store attendants confirm my size and reassure me I was ordering the correctly sized gown. Everyone I met was polite, compassionate of the situation I was in, and made me feel both beautiful and accepted for my less than petite size. I regret that I did not go to them in the first place but will readily suggest them to all brides I know in the future. It was such an overwhelmingly positive experience that I felt like I was floating afterwards. Afterward, there was some minor lack of communication when my dress was going in for alterations. I was informed of the pick up when alterations were complete but when picking the gown up, was surprised to hear they still had MORE work to do and I wasn't actually taking it home that day. More clarity with what was going on, even a phone call, would have been appreciated. But the alterations were perfectly done and I'm just so, so happy to have gotten my gown from them. read more

Great range of dresses in styles and prices, and was great to have multiple selections in plus sizes. My consultant Erin was wonderful and helped me thru finding the right style for me. My friend (the bride) made an appointment earlier in the week for 3 pm Saturday. We had tried a boutique right before and we were finding some good dresses so the vibes were high. When we checked in at David's a few minutes before our appointment time, we were given a small bag and told to browse. 15 minutes passed and we'd seen the selection, saw a few dresses we'd like to pull but couldn't really do anything. One woman asked if we'd been helped and we said no, then she asked if we'd checked in, and when we said yes, she just nodded and walked away. Another 20 minutes passed, and my friend was a bit disappointed by that point. We ended up returning to the front and saying we were actually just going to leave and only then did the same people we checked in with attempt to burst into action. We still ended up leaving, and about an hour later, she got an email that her new appointment was at 7 pm that night. Needless to say we did not make the new appointment. My stylist, Najoua Almi was extremely pleasant to work with! I walked into the store not knowing anything except my size and the fact that I needed an A-line dress to compliment my body type. Najoua knew exactly which dresses to pull for me, and even got some dresses from the back stock room to try on. She was super creative, and complimented the dresses I liked with a veil, belt, and shoes so that I could see the full look. I should also mention that this store visit was only 3 months before my wedding, which of course made everything much more challenging (I'm a last minute shopper)! Najoua did not get anxious when learning this, and said for me to not worry because she was going to help me find my dress - and she did! Thank you Najoua for guiding me to the perfect dress for my special day!! read more

My first visit to David's Bridal as a bride-to-be was in search of a wedding dress. I scheduled an appointment so that I could have some help and advice finding the right dress. My displeasure with the visit was not with the quality or selection of dresses, which was respectively high and varied, but with the customer service. The woman who was assigned to help me, my mother, and my soon to be mother-in-law tried to rush me as much as possible and kept running off to work with other customers. I understand the store gets busy, but I was annoyed that I was being ignored after I had bothered to set up an appointment in hopes to avoid exactly that. I only tried on six or seven dresses, but by the eye rolling and foot tapping of my attendant you would have thought it was a hundred. That made me extremely uncomfortable. If I had not already found a dress that I loved I would have left and not returned. After that experience I decided that it was just one visit and one attendant and I would give the store another shot. I wanted my bridesmaids to have different style options but the same color, so the versatility that David's Bridal offers seemed like a no-brainer. The girls love the dresses they found and the colors are perfect. I was pleased that they were all able to find something with no issue. I came again to have my dress altered. I got pinned and left my dress to be picked up a month later on March 1st at 6:30 PM. I got off work early and showed up at the store around 5 to see if I could pick it up early. First they couldn't find my dress - which made me panic. They did eventually find it and the reason for the mix up was that they didn't start working on the alterations until right before I walked in. It had been there for a month and they didn't begin to work on it until just before the appointment. So, I returned at 6:30 PM as originally planned and still had to wait for them to finish the appliques. When I went to try it on I noticed the seamstress forgot to take out all the pins - luckily I noticed it. I'm sure she was rushing at that point because she knew I had been waiting. The dress fits great and the tailoring was superb. read more

I came from Alfred Angelo a few hours before I arrived at David's later that afternoon. I got the ultimate treatment at Alfred, she was so nice and caring, asked me a ton of questions, helped me from everything to basically anything else I couldn't think of. I felt like a princess there. I was hoping I'd get the same treatment at Davids and boy was I wrong! Then I walk into David's and my person was Erin, she was rude, she seemed rush and seemed like she didn't cared. She even asked me if I wanted to put on the dress myself or if I needed help. Really?? I thought getting help was standard! She didn't give me any type of slip or any bras to try on. She didn't show do any of that until one of my bridesmaids asked for her to get it. She seemed annoyed when we asked her. She wasn't friendly at all, didn't take me to the platform where I can stand in front of the big mirrors. I was in the fitting room all the way in the back with no room. She didn't pull up any chairs for my party. I was not happy. I wanted someone with excitement and someone who cared about her job. She didn't ask questions about me or anything even wedding related like when the wedding was! The only time she was excited and seemed like she wanted to help was when I agreed to buy the dress. I only got the dress here because of pricing (I got the same one I tried on at Alfred Angelo but it was $400 more there.) I am very disappointed with customer service here. Erin was very fake from her smile to the way she acted. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I'm glad I knew what dress I wanted because I wouldn't be able to stand trying on 10+ dresses with her. read more

Meagan was awesome! I couldn't have gotten a better experience than the one she created. I could tell the store was busy walking in, but the moment Meagan introduced herself, I felt like I was the only one there. This was the fourth bridal store I had gone to that day and felt like there was no way David's Bridal could meet my expectations. Meagan was better than the expensive boutiques and made me feel like this was what dress shopping should be all about. She understood exactly what I wanted and pulled amazing dresses that even made it hard to choose (which was actually awesome-choices!) I felt like she really listened to my wants and make me feel like nothing was impossible. One of my bridesmaids married a few years prior had a terrible experience when she went to another branch but after our time with Meagan, she ended up telling her she wished she would have had Meagan when she was looking for a dress. Meagan was extremely professional but also somehow felt like an old friend, there to help me get exactly what I wanted. She didn't pressure me at all and we just had a great time. To those sceptics like me, I highly recommend DB and ask for Meagan. read more

I was here today to get a party dress to change into at my wedding. Reagan was my stylist who helped me zip into all the dresses, but all the staff were helpful to me. The customer service reps, other stylists, the managers- everyone went out of their way to help. They have a decent selection for short dresses, which was great for me. Overall they have a good clearance rack, good sizes, and a nice staff. Make this a stop if you're looking for a low cost dress! Ample parking and there's food and coffee nearby. read more

Ahh the mixed feeling of that phone call from your best friend. "I'm getting married!" YAY! You shout. Then comes the realization, "Oh man, it's time to get another bridesmaid dress." Though I'm only 25, I'm from the Midwest, so that means most of my friends are married or are in the process of getting married. I know my bridal stores, and when you've been to one David's Bridal, you've been to them all. What I like: They're all over the country, therefore, even though my friend's wedding is in Indiana, I can try on my dress here, and so can the other bridesmaids in Florida. You just give your name, your sizes, and try them on. You roll your eyes at the choice, and make your purchase. What I don't like: 1. I'm not the bride, I don't see why I have to make an appointment to try on like 2, maybe 3 dresses. It's never that busy. 2.There's no mirror in the dressing rooms, you have to come out and show everyone else in the store what that dress looks like on you. 3. They never have matching colors for the two-pieces to try on, so you never really know what the dress looks like. What I liked about this store: 1.The staff was SUPER friendly, and we joked about the dresses, particularly about the fact that my dress made me have more cleavage than J-Lo. 2. It's practically next door to a Chipotle's, I think that should automatically increase your property value. read more

My greatest mistake in buying a dress from David's Bridal was giving them my personal email address AND my cell phone number. When you first go to David's, they have you fill out a form with your information. I decided to give them my personal email figuring that they would just send me follow up emails about my dress. I gave them my cell so that I could be contacted when my dress arrived (which it did, 3 weeks later). Then I checked the box at the bottom of the page - "Please DO NOT share my information with others". Yeah, right. David's is the only bridal vendor that has my cell phone number on file, so I *know* that they are the source of the annoying, "you've won a free honeymoon!" phone calls (http://www.brides.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=24446&start=15&tstart=0). They're also the only vendor who has my personal email address (I use a specific joint wedding account for the others) so I know that they are the source of wedding spam on that end too. Grr. My experience at David's though, was good. I went on a weeknight so it wasn't too crazy. I spent 1 hour, 15 minutes with Odyssey and she helped me find the right dress - one that I actually love! It's just a shame that they sold all my information :-(. Oh yeah, and the lady on the free honeymoon call excitedly told me that they were a marketing company and because I went to a bridal shop or expo, they had sold my information to them (using her singsong voice, she tried to make out that this was somehow to my benefit and that I should be excited about that). To quote one of Australia's most infamous ads, "not.... happy... Jan". (See on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2akt3P8ltLM) read more

Turns out I'm not a bridezilla at all -- David's Bridal should thank both God and Georgetown's MBA program for that. I have no time to stress over a party called my wedding. That said, I couldn't in good conscience pay a fortune for a dress that I will only wear once and will not pass down to poserity (seriously, no one wears their mother's wedding dress. Seriously.), so I figured DB might not be a horrible option. The process of picking out the dress was fine. Khannie, my consultant, was amazing. Not at all pushy and completely okay with my lack of girliness. If this review were solely about Khannie, it'd be a total 4 star one. Sadly, the alterations team seems to suck all the joy one could possibly experience in buying one's wedding dress. I had a total of 4 fittings. I could see if I were: a) 300 pounds. b) 4'2" or 6'8" c) incredibly hard to please. Being none of these things, I didn't understand why it took 4 times for them to get it right. 1st fitting -- Dress taken in entirely too much, about 3 inches. Mind you, I have a 24 inch waist -- WHO THE HELL SHRINKS A DRESS DOWN TO A 21 INCH WAIST???? WHO HAS A 21 INCH WAIST??????? And, yes, I definitely told the lady that it was too tight when she pinned me and demanded that she loosen the pins, which she did.... Until she started sewing, apparently. Also, for the record, the alterations cost more than my dress. HA HA! 2nd fitting -- Had dress taken out, but wasn't taken out enough. 3rd fitting -- Dress taken out too much (seriously?), so had to have taken in again. 4th fitting -- Still too loose, and since strapless, had to have top taken in a bit again so wouldn't fall down. After 4th fitting, there was definitely a stain on the back, for which one lady suggested that I cover. SERIOUSLY? 5th trip -- finally got dress back, without stains and fitting. Part of me wonders if it was because my dress wasn't expensive. Who knows. I'm just glad that I'll be married in 3 weeks and won't have to go through this again. Oh, and to the girls who shriek in the store when you've found your dress, SHUT UP, no one cares -- you're not special. :) read more
