I've never left a Yelp review before, but after my experience here, I feel like I have to--especially to warn other brides. My experience was extremely mixed, and honestly very frustrating. If you do decide to shop here, my advice is: 1. Make sure the correct dress is actually ordered 2. Keep every single receipt 3. Confirm that everything is properly documented in your profile This was the first bridal shop I visited. I was excited but nervous, not knowing what to expect. I was helped by a stylist named Stacy, who was very friendly and ultimately helped me find a dress I loved. I hadn't even planned to buy that day, but she told me the dress was on sale and gave me a great price, so I said yes. I was told it would arrive in about a month. A month later, I picked up my dress. I asked about alterations and was quoted starting around $300, which felt high but I decided to wait until I tried the dress on at home. When I finally tried it on, I immediately realized--it was NOT my dress. Completely different style and even the wrong color (ivory instead of white). Thankfully, I had pictures from my appointment to prove it. I went back to the store, and the manager quickly confirmed I was given the wrong dress. They even found my actual dress on the floor. But here's where things got worse: I was told that if I wanted the correct dress, I would have to pay an additional $1,100 because the wrong dress had been ordered and priced. Let that sink in--their stylist made a mistake, ordered the wrong dress, gave me the wrong price, and I was expected to pay the difference. The manager offered a small discount, but I would still have to pay hundreds more. I refused and asked for a refund. She then told me I needed my receipt, so I came back the next day with it. While processing the refund, she said it was a "courtesy" since the dress was apparently final sale from clearance--something that was never explained to me. She also implied there were no notes in the system and that she "wasn't there," which seemed to be the ongoing excuse for everything. On top of that, I discovered I had been charged for TWO garment bags--one for $7 and another for $12--but only received one. Again, no explanation, no notes, just confusion. Overall, this experience felt extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Employees don't seem to communicate with each other, and their system for keeping records is clearly not being used properly. Luckily, I still have time to find another dress. I can't imagine how stressful this would've been if it happened closer to my wedding. I'm not trying to be difficult, but this situation was handled poorly from start to finish. If I had been given the correct dress at the correct price from the beginning, my experience would have been completely different. Brides, just be careful. read more

Staff is very helpful but they do seem to be low on staff because I waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Our first visit to David's Bridal was fantastic Bethany was very helpful and patient. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for, so I tried on a few different styles and felt really comfortable with her guidance. Where things fell short was with alterations. At my first appointment, I was quoted around $260. When I came back for my alteration appointment, the staff was nice, but the pricing was almost double my hem, added bra cups, and adjusted straps that also gets charged for labor came out to about $500. For that price, you'd think steam and press would be included, but it's actually an extra charge. Honestly, you're better off getting alterations elsewhere. What was most disappointing is that the bra cups weren't even sewn in properly it looks like a single string is holding them in place. At that point, you're better off just buying a strapless bra. read more

Had to drive a bit because all the stores near me closed. Went looking for a birthday dress, which I know is not a bridal appt but I think some sort of customer service is expected when shopping. Walked in, was asked what needed, said I was looking for a birthday dress, was told to walk around, don't touch any bridal dresses (ok sounds good).. so I find a few dresses I'm chatting with my mom and a salesperson was restocking one of the racks. I think I had 4 dresses and my mom had one or two... I was like I wonder if we can set these down so we can look easier. The salesperson looked at me and walked away. (So I guess not). Walked to the fitting room area not sure which ones I could use and was passed by multiple employees before someone said just knock on a door and if nobody answers use it. I found a dress and the girl that checked me out basically pressured me to make an alteration appointment and didn't want to give me my dress. Like "no, I think after this experience I'll get it altered elsewhere." This is my third or fourth birthday dress from David's bridal but by far my worst customer service experience. We had a great experience at this location! As a plus-sized girl I always have so much anxiety walking into clothing stores--much less a bridal shop. But the associates were so kind, uplifting, and helpful. We did get taken in a bit past our scheduled time but it was clear there was not enough consultants, so we didn't mind. My consultant made me feel comfortable and was flexible with how much help I wanted to receive and gave me options as to weather I would like her to fully help me into dresses or just to help me zip. I recently came here for a bridesmaid dress fitting for one of my closest friends. I will say the selection was quite slim and the salesperson helping us didn't seem like she really cared to show us other dresses to try on. She also kept pushing to order dresses now and that it'll take a long time to come in. I ordered my dress online (and on sale by the way), and it arrived in less than two weeks. Bridesmaid dresses run from $80-$200 from what I saw. David's Bridal is a good place for brides that have specific wants and want to gather their bridal party to where a specific dress, but it's not as stylish as others that I've seen. read more

The Worst Experience - Completely Disappointed I had an appointment on Sunday, 6/22 at 1:30 PM. I arrived about 10 minutes early, checked in, and was told to browse around while someone would find me to assist with pulling dresses. About 10-15 minutes into my scheduled time, someone finally approached me. She asked if I'd found anything and mentioned that all clearance items are sold "as is," including any stains or damage--okay, good to know, I guess. She never took my measurements, just guessed my size--which she got wrong--and never once asked about my budget. Around 30 minutes into my appointment, she brought me a few dresses and led me to a fitting room. From there, she completely disappeared. She didn't help me into any of the dresses; my friend who came with me ended up helping me in and out of them. Eventually, my friend also started pulling dresses for me because my consultant (not sure what they're officially called) was missing in action for most of the appointment. When she did reappear, she casually mentioned that she was overbooked. That was when I knew this was not the place I wanted to spend my money. By 2:45 PM, I was completely done and just wanted to leave. As we were walking out, she actually suggested that Ross or Kohl's might be more in line with what I was looking for--an incredibly unprofessional and insulting comment. Happy to say I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for at Luv Bridal in Westminster--right after this nightmare of an experience. read more

Thank goodness they offered a fast turnaround option... her wedding is in 21 Days! The two women who helped us were Oak, and Stacey. Oak was so sweet and professional, also offered ideas on altering the dress in ways my friend didn't even think of. Stacey was super helpful and provided amazing customer service. She even game us tips on how to take care of the dress for the day of. The prices were reasonable and the over all flow of service was great! I definitely recommend this location. read more

Upon entering, we were greeted and assisted promptly. We had a group of 8, and the entire time, the staff was very helpful, patient, and friendly. If something wasn't available at the store, they offered order or to look up availability at another location. This location had a good variety of priced dresses for all types of budgets, including a clearance section with a current additional 40%off. They inspected that dress and it was dirty and Angela said it was altered but that's how they sold the dress and refused to return it. Went to this location, everyone was so nice! I made an appointment for myself and brought 7 women in my family and they were very accommodating. Jennifer was our stylist, she helped me find what I had in mind for my dress. I tried on several different styles and she was so knowledgeable on what I could change about each dress, how I could style it, and always made sure it was in my size. She was very patient as I went through picking dresses, ultimately I couldn't decide so I asked her if I could come back the next day to let her know my final decision. Jennifer assured me that I was welcomed back so the next day, I came back and chose something completely different. She was so flexible in my decisions since I had changed to another dress, but in the end she was so happy with what I picked. The workers always look so irritated when you walk in. It's like they are being forced to greet you or even say hello. Chye was the lady who helped me and when I walked in FOR MY APPOINTMENT and I showed her the dress that I wanted to try on. She pulled some dresses for me, but I didn't like them. When I was about to leave, I realized I didn't get to try the dress I showed her and she said, "I am out of time you have to make a new appointment." Customer service is not the best. Came in for an alteration quote, which was pricey at $97 for just a steam and double hem of bridesmaids dress. I had to keep tracking the employee down for the next steps, like removing the pins as one example. At the final step I asked for a hanging bag and she told me to go to the front to get one. Why couldn't she walk me to the front and do it herself? I stood at the counter for 5 minutes And had to ask an employee for some help. An employee came to the counter and told me they're out of hanging bags. She was going to fold my dress and stick it in a plastic bag. I told her I purchased the dress at the store and I haven't decided if I'm coming back to have them do the alterations, regardless, I expect to walk out with my dress hanging in a bag. So beware, they may not offer you a bag if you do not continue to do business. I made it clear I was not leaving until I left with a hanging bag so I told her to go find one and amazing she came back with one right away! She lied to me!! Now I'm definitely not coming back to do the alteration and will never buy from David's Bridal again. That is a promise! read more

I absolutely loved this location!!! I had such an amazing experience! I came here for my wedding dress and honestly I wasn't planning on buying the dress . I just wanted to look and try on a few dresses. I must have tried on at least 7 dresses. All of them were beautiful but the one I found was just beautiful. The wedding expert was extremely helpful. She was on top of it and attentive. She was so lovely and made me feel so special. The dress I got was not too expensive after my discounts! When I got there I was greeted right away. Was able to look around to pick out dresses to try. There was a good amount of dresses to try, a little bit of everything. Then got measured while she took the dresses I wanted to try to my dressing room. Very fast paced, do it yourself type of vibe. One dress gets put in your room and you get into it by yourself and once you open door they'll help you tighten everything up. You'll get a veil put on. One or two questions on how you like the dress and then move on to the next. I'm glad I tried this place. Good cheaper dress options if you're on a budget. read more

I walked in looking for a bridesmaids dress, already feeling intimated bc of having to shop for a dress while on my weight loss journey! But I was being optimistic. I said hello and the lady at the front desk didn't even greet me. There is a huge selection but it's intimidating, and a little hard to understand how the color palette/ style work. There was about three associates maybe four. Store was pretty empty, I walked around for 10 minutes not once was I greeted or asked if I needed help. Going to try a different location. Order in store - If you order your dress in the store, they will ship your dress there for free. Can't make it to the store to pick it up? They offer free shipping to your house. You get charged if you order online and ship it. Styles - They don't feel like they've changed much over the years. Good variety of colors, styles, and materials. If you need a range of sizes, this will work for you. Service - When I called to make an appointment (for bridesmaid dress), the employee was not very friendly. The ladies that work here were all very lovely. My issue is with their alterations department. I'm not very happy about the fact that I paid $250 for this...the dress itself cost the same...they had my dress since October 3 and I picked it up on November 6. They had it for a whole month, I would have expected the cut to be cleaner. Take your dress somewhere else to get altered. Edit: I found a split seam... I'm really disappointed about this alteration. I agree with other yelpers, the women that work here need customer service skills. There was no one attending the registers when I walked in to do the return of my shoes that didn't fit me, so I walked up to the two women I recognized to be the employees and they looked bothered that I walked up and asked for assistance. One of the women quickly dismissed me to go to the registers and that someone will help me. That same woman that dismissed me, came to process my return, didn't speak to me at all except to ask what was wrong with the shoes. It's like they judge you straight away and deem if you're worthy of even going that extra mile to help you. They're either racist or really judgmental. To any bride, or wedding guest, take your chances on a smaller bridal shop, you'll feel more appreciated for your business there. read more
