I was very disappointed with the service, or lack there of at strut bridal salon. I did happen to find the wedding dress i wanted and I did receive good service at my 1st apt, but what happened after my first visit is where everything went wrong.... I went in February to go dress hunting.They were dress shop number 2 of 3 I was planning to visit on that saturday. I had made reservations and when I arrived, I did have to wait for the girl before me to finish, but that was okay, because there were so many pretty things to look at in the front, I was well occupied, I also got to meet the woman who does their alterations which was nice because she ended up doing my alterations as well. And she did a fantastic job, btw! I had the pleasure of working with Aubrey who was actually fantastic. She helped me try on several dresses. But I found 'the dress' on the second try. She said the dress had just come in the week prior and I was either the 1st or 2nd to try it on- remember that! She got my measurements, took down my order and told me the dress is coming from Europe and that I should put a rush delivery on the dress to make it by the end of May since my wedding was July 18. I pay for the $150 standard shipping and an additional $200 for rush shipping. May 29 - i get an automated text from strut stating my big day is almost here... wait, I haven't heard anything about my dress. June 2- I call asking for an update on my dress as I was told it would arrive end of May. They said we don't have any tracking on your dress, can we call you back? June 4- i get a call from nick stating they are still trying to locate my dress and that they can't get a hold of the designer. About 5 days later I call to ask about an update, they said they finally got a hold of the designers family and found out the designer had recently passed away! I was extremely saddened for the designer and her family and I told the shop I completely understand but the dress was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago, do we have any idea on if the dress is done? They said they are working with the family on getting that answer, I guess nobody else works in her studio?? About 2 weeks later, I call again for an update on my dress. At this point, my wedding is in 3 weeks and I still have no idea where my dress is. The designers family was arranging a funeral and sorting through her work... in the end, I never did get an answer from anyone about what happened to my dress... So what did I wear for my wedding?? To make up for the loss of my dress, they offered me the sample dress I tried on back in February, but here's the kicker... I would have to take it at the full price! That's right, they refused to provide any discount on the used dress I ended up wearing on my wedding day that I paid full price for on a dress I never even received. In fact, they told me they offered to refund me for the dress because they were going to turn around and resell it for $200 more than what I paid for it! And that they guessed I might be able to find a dress somewhere else...??? They said they would get the sample dress 'cleaned' for me and told me i can pick it up on June 26, i dont know how many more times that dress was tried on since Feb, but it was not cleaned, AND i had to wait another 30 minutes to get my dress, WITH an appointment! I was schedule for my fitting on that same day and luckily she was able to rush my dress so that i had it back by July 11, 1 week before my wedding!! My dress was beautiful and my wedding turned out amazing, so in the end I still got my dream dress, just the used version at the cost of a lot of so much unwanted drama, hounding, rude behavior from the manager Tamika, and the owner who wouldn't even talk to me and I paid full price for a sample dress. It also took 4 phone calls, a half dozen texts and almost 1 month after my wedding for them to finally refund me the $150 in standard shipping and the additional $200 for rush delivery. They at first said they didnt owe me anything and i told them to check again as i made Tamika write it down and note it in the computer, apparently she never noted it in the computer and i had to send them a screenshot of the bill i told her to give me a copy of - the amount that is owed back to me. They also still refused to give me any sort of discount and I received zero apologies. I would NEVER recommend this place to a friend... so buyer beware! read more

All of the workers I interacted with leading up to my appointment and during were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I booked a private appointment which cost $500; my group was rather large (about 11 people - so the appointment type for this guest count was required) and they were immediately greeted, given seating, provided with drinks, and had a wonderful snack table/charcuterie. I personally loved having the store to just myself and my group for 2 hours and I felt like it helped streamline things. Huge shoutout to my stylist, Tamiko, for starting the appointment by reminding all the guests that I should be the first to speak about what I did or did not like about the dress, to ensure my decision wasn't immediately altered by their opinions. Tamiko made me feel comfortable and heard every step of the way. She brought me options that met the criteria of what I thought I wanted, and based on my reaction and feedback, she brought new options that I may not have previously considered. The overall selection of sizing, availability, color, styles, and veils was truly wonderful. Tamiko was also very mindful of my budget with each option she brought to me. I did end up going over my budget a little due to adding off the shoulder sleeves, and two veils but only by a marginal amount. My out the total (without alterations) was: $3,807.52. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and I cannot recommend this location (or Tamiko) enough! read more

The office manager Tamiko lacks customer service skills and should not work in a environment around people. When buying your wedding dress you need to be in a positive environment. When getting married the planning and preparation can also be stressful. Tamiko was not encouraging and was more worried about how many times I tried on the dress and the changes I made than seeing me happy. If thats not enough she goes on social media to publicly embarrass me. My stress level is on 10. My God-daughter drove up from San Diego to look for wedding dresses. Struts accommodated us with just a couple of days notice. Aubrey met with us when we walked in. There was a large selection of unique & one of a kind dresses. We were truly impressed with the selection of veils! I had the best experience picking out my wedding dress at Strut! I was looking for a salon that carried plus-size dresses that wouldn't break my budget. To be honest, I kept delaying getting a dress because I hate trying on clothes and was scared I'd be my biggest enemy and never find one I felt beautiful in. I was wrong! I did the initial call with Tamiko, who asked me what I was looking for and gave me some general info. I was disappointed but not surprised when she told me I'd need to buy "off the rack," it was my own fault for waiting. But she encouraged me to keep an open mind. I scheduled a VIP appointment and brought my mom and 4 bridesmaids, they had champagne and treats waiting for us. Aubrey was my stylist and was so welcoming and personable. She already had some dresses pulled for me based on some inspo photos I had sent her. I tried around 4 dresses that were beautiful but not for me, but I think the process really helped her find what I did/didn't like. And just like magic she pulled one last dress, and that was the one! It was something I would have never imagined myself in but so perfect for me. It was in the higher end of my price range, but all of the dresses in the salon are affordable and they have dresses for every budget. My only suggestion would be to put up some more mirrors so you can really get a good look at all angles. Of course my guests were taking pictures/ videos of me but some more mirrors would be helpful for my personal critiques of myself lol. Altogether it was an amazing experience and I'm so glad i found my dream dress, in one day. If you're worried about having to buy "off the rack"- fear not. There is a dress out there for everyone!
