Staff loosely measured bridesmaids, giving estimates of sizing that may work. We were then given a quick guide of the store and where we may find what we were looking for. After selecting a few dresses, the team kept a close eye, offering their opinion and making a few suggestions about what could/ couldn't be ordered and altered. I'm a first-time bride and got engaged just last week, so today when I was out with my brother and mom, I wanted to try on dresses for the very first time. We were near the Biltmore area, and I quickly realized that you need reservations to try on dresses at most places, something I didn't know! I called David's Bridal near my house to see if they could squeeze me in, and that's when I met Imani over the phone. She was so warm, bubbly, and funny that I instantly felt like I'd made a new friend. She told me to come right over and that she'd set up an appointment for me. When I arrived, I was greeted by a beautiful lady with the brightest smile, it was Imani! She was just as sweet in person as she was on the phone. I told her my budget was $5,000 and that I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. I mentioned that I loved styles like Galia Lahav, Millie Bobby Brown's dress, and Hailey Bieber's dress. Imani immediately got to work, pulling options that would flatter my body type. Since I have more of a square shape, I told her I wanted a silhouette that would give the illusion of an hourglass, not something too tight. I tried on a total of seven dresses, each one getting closer to a perfect 10 on my scale. The last dress I tried was a 9/10, and that's when the alterations manager stepped in. She showed me how we could customize it to my liking, pinned me up, and suddenly my dress was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I finally understood why brides cry when they say "yes to the dress", the emotion is so real! And here's the best part, even though I had a $5,000 budget, the dress I fell in love with was a clearance dress for $399, and because it had a red sticker, it was half off. I walked out paying only $199 for my dream dress, originally priced at $1,300. What I loved most was that Imani didn't focus on price tags, she focused on what I loved, what I envisioned, and what flattered me. She listened to every detail, made the experience joyful, and celebrated with me when I said yes. If I could give Imani 1,000 stars, I would. Horrible experience! I will never walk into another David's Bridal or consider them to anyone! I was the first one to walk in as soon as they open but yet I had to ask for help as I surrounded the front desk while others behind me was getting helped as soon as they walked in the door. I then asked "Marina" for help and if looks could kill I would be dead. She was totally stand offish and hesitated to assist me. I was the one that was looking for the dresses and sizes and taking them to the dressing room. All she did was write my name down on a magnet to put it on the dressing room. I dread walking into here because I just know someone is always going to be rude. The first time I came in here the store manager was so unprofessional and lacked customer service skills. She cut off my bridesmaid from talking when we were being checked in. And made us all super uncomfortable. Idk if she was having a bad morning or what but that was not our fault. We just walked in. Luckily Andy picked up her slack for being rude. They brought the perfect dress and we ended up buying it. I went in yesterday with my MOH. We were greeted and checked in. This is the first time I ever stepped into a bridal shop so I didn't know what to expect. But both my daughter and I were overwhelmed with their system. We just wanted to take a look at a few dresses for prom but apparently you have to sign in upon entering. You must write down your name, phone number, and email address. Then, they send a sales associate to help you. The sales associate took her measurements and stated she was a size 10 in dresses. I don't think this was correct, we have bought her plenty of dresses and she is always a size 3/small, a 10 is just too big for her. (By the way, the dress she ended up buying at another store was a size 3) The lady was really nice and attentive but my daughter just didn't like the dresses there so she didn't even try any dresses on. We just wanted to look at dresses but it felt like walking in to a used car dealership. I don't know, maybe it's just us and this the norm for bridal shops. This would be ok for shopping for a wedding dress but it's just too much for a prom dress in my opinion. read more

I drove across the valley for about an hour to come to this David's bridal I checked the hours online and planned to arrive just in time to spend an hour and a half browsing with my sister for her wedding dress or possibly just a skirt. Unfortunately when we walked in at 5:30 we were promptly greeted with a woman who proudly told us they close at six which was in 15 minutes and that we would not be able to try on anything but we were allowed to browse. Apparently she told my sisters that online did not reflect the new store hours. I think it would be extremely helpful if they would have all online forms updated because many people use google and Apple Maps as a way to see if they are open. Fortunately, for us it took us about eight minutes to realize there was nothing of interest so we were able to leave before closing, but we did avoid the woman that had greeted us because she was kind of snooty rude. read more

This was our 7th store, so by this point we walked in knowing we will self serve and not rely on any customer service. Well when you least expect it, isn't it fantastic to receive the best experience in customer care that you've ever had. I arrived and they asked if I had an appointment to which we said "nope, your website says walk ins welcome", the girl replied that walk ins are welcome to make an appointment. Um what? That makes no sense. She says their next appointment is tomorrow but I'm welcome to look at the dresses. So I looked through them and found just 2 I'd be interested in. I ask them can I please just try these 2 dresses on - I don't need a stylists help, I literally just want to try them on. They said I need an appointment. WHY???? I literally just wanted to use a dressing room for literally 4 minutes to try them on??? I almost took them to the bathroom to try them on... but ended up leaving. The bride drove over an hour to meet me and for NOTHING. I just had a baby and I don't have a lot of time to keep going to davids bridal to TRY ON dresses so I figured I'd just order one I liked online and return it if it didn't work out. Well, Another bridesmaid heeded my warning and made an appointment at the Ahwatukee one and since we are similar in size tried on one of the dresses I'd hoped I could've tried on the day I went to this hell hole. I decided to have her buy me that one there as well and when that one arrived I could try both that one and the one I ordered online and return whichever one I liked least. Well that day came and I decided on the one I wanted. I returned to this great establishment and was told I couldn't return the dress because I didn't have a receipt. I only had an email that showed the purchase. Apparently they need a barcode on the receipt to return it. Are you kidding me? It is 2021... You have a computer system that should house this information, why do you need a barcode to make a return????? Even though I have an email that literally showed the purchase along with a sticker on the Bag that has my name and tags still attached to the dress. I went into this Davids Bridal on a Saturday and found a long goen to wear to a gormal event (not as a member of a wedding party). The dress I fell in live with from their rack had some loose threading and so a loose zipper at the bottom and a snag in the fabric. I asked them if they could get another one ordered in that size as the event is in 3.5 weeks. They charged me $20 for a rush order (less than 4 weeks is a rush). The dress was ready for pickup THE FOLLOWING MONDAY! That should have been a red flag for me but I took the dress home, took it out of the bag, looed it over and guess what!!! Loose/pulled thread at the zipper bottom and the same snag in the fabric!!They charged me a $20 tush order to hand me the same damn dress of their rack!!! I am pissed and they WILL hear from me in the morning!!!! read more

So this David's bridal went above and beyond, and the customer service there was excellent and put our minds at ease. We had bought our first dress at another David's bridal. Unfortunately it truly wasn't the dress she was in love with, and when we went for a second look at a different location which was this one. WE FOUND THE DRESS, But we were kind of in a bind and soo stressed because we just bought one prior and it didn't seem like we could return it. Alison made it happen. She was understanding, kind and didn't make us feel worst for our prior purchase. She gave us such a relief, called the other location, fixed our situation. Amazing. She is an amazing manager. And we will continue to shop here for our future weddings ;D The sales associate Jonathan, was also fantastic and his eye for dresses was amazing. He was fun and well spoken, gave us insight on weddings and history of dresses which was great conversation while waiting for our bride. He was great and we loved him. Been here twice! First time was a great experience, daughter was there looking for a wedding dress. Great time with wife and daughter. I wish I can tell you the asian girls name who helped us. I was at Mens Warehouse getting fitted for the wedding, My wife decided to stop by David's Bridal to look for a dress. Yes, my wife and I are thick, big,big boned. What ever you want to call it. I stopped in to look at a dress I saw online and buy a strapless bra. I showed the woman at the entrance the dress I was looking for; she took me to some dresses a few feet away, looked slightly at the rack, and said "No, it doesn't look like we sell that dress here. Too bad because I want to see it in person too." I found the exact dress I was looking for on a rack further into the store. She didn't even try. Trying on the dress: I told her I bought a dress (still from David's Bridal) online, but wanted to see if I liked the one in stores more, but no matter what dress I chose I needed to buy a strapless, longline bra. I ended up not liking the dress after trying it on, and after that she was done helping me. Basically said good luck on your wedding then went up front to the registers to chat with the rest of the staff. So, I didn't get the bra I needed. The store was empty. This was my first David's Bridal purchase. I came here for a bridesmaid dress. I really thought they did a decent job at first, dress came quick. I knew I had to get it altered before we even ordered it, and I thought it would be best to go through the company, instead of a third party. I was definitely wrong. First, I was never told when the dress was ready, so it was kind of a guessing game (no big deal). I picked it up but never tried it on until a couple days before the wedding. I had to get it taken in above the chest. Possibly one of the worst tailoring jobs I've seen, I honestly could have done it myself if I knew it was going to come out like that. Moral of the story don't come here if you need something tailored, horrible job for a high price. Edit: Back in June the district manager, Kimberly B. said she would reach out to me but never did. I have very mixed feelings about David's Bridal. Impressive selection and styles - unimpressive service. Two of my friends and I came into this location on Sunday to browse and try on some different dresses for my wedding that is approaching at the end of this year. Even though we had an appointment for noon, we had to wait for about 10 minutes until our "consultant" came to greet us. I say consultant with quotation marks for a reason - she was hardly there for us/me at all. I don't recall her name, do you know why? She was hardly with us the entire appointment. Our consultant was working with two bridal parties at once; it was very busy in the store today which is completely understandable for a weekend afternoon. However, I felt really ignored in comparison to the other party who was sharing our consultant. The attention was split between the two bridal parties 30/70. My appointment lasted 90 minutes and I only tried on six dresses during that entire time. I was waiting there in front of my dressing room uncomfortably in these huge dresses waiting for help to change out of them - sometimes up to ten minutes at a time. And, when my consultant would finally come back to my party after bouncing between the two of them, she kept showing me dresses that I said I did not like the style of earlier. I felt like she was not listening to me very well because she was too preoccupied with the other party. The most annoying part of the experience was, when the other party finally did leave, apparently my appointment time was also up. Yes, technically my appointment time had ended by then, but I had assumed that I would get some extra time seeing as I was hardly paid attention to during my time slot. My consultant refused to let me look at any other styles - she instead kept egging me to "go to the front and book a follow up appointment because my time was up". My friends and I left after that. Kinda ridiculous. The reason why I gave my visit two stars instead of none is because I did see some styles of dresses that I really did like. I enjoyed the vast selection and styles that they had; and I did actually find a dress that I fell in love with. I think I will wind up coming back with my family to purchase it in the near future as I really did adore it - though I will probably call ahead to specifically ask to have a consultant work exclusively with me. **Update: Since my appointment yesterday, I did speak with one of the shift managers today from this location and she listened to what I had to say and apologized for my experience. She assured me that this is not the type of standard that the store wants to set and she invited me to come to a follow up appointment, with her as my consultant, when I am ready. Ok, I have to make an appointment just to try on the dress I am getting. I already have the dress style number and the color. I just wanted to make sure that I buy the right size. I made an appointment because that's what they told me. I tried on the same dress and got the size which was right for me. So I ordered it but in the color I wanted. When I got the dress, it was too big and needed to be altered. And they will charge me again on top of the money I paid for the dress. What's the point of the sizing dress appointment when the dress I got and thought was the right size ended up too big!!and they wanted to charge me for alterations! It's not even cheap! Went to this store for my daughters wedding dress, she found the one on sale for 600 but needed hemming, a couple of nips and tucks and a bustle according to the sales lady. My dress just needed hemming which was 75. Figured from what the lady said around 350-375 but nearly collapsed when the total came to 562 on the alteration day. What could we do. Just make sure you find out how much each part of the alteration will be so you will not be hit with a large bill. read more
