The waiting area is comfortable and the receptionist essentially guides you to the various rooms for testing once you remove your contact lenses, which is helpful for someone with poor vision like myself. The provider herself is professional, caring, and amicable. As I am a health care professional, she explained the process in medical terms and made the visit more comprehensible. I was given a free trial pair of contact lenses as well and the process to order lenses was extremely easy. Truly, I cannot recommend this office and it's provider's enough. I awoke one morning last September with a sizable style in my lower right eyelid. It was tough to see and oh, so attractive. Our Ophthalmologist in Manhattan retired in 2021 and I hadn't yet found his replacement. I asked the friendly staff at MK Vision Center, where I buy all of my eyeglasses for a recommendation: Dr. Singh at Downtown! My first visit at Downtown went well and Dr. Singh diagnosed me with Angle Closure Glaucoma. He told me about Glaucoma, how I could have an attack, and why it could cost me my eyesight (damage is irreversible). He recommended the laser procedure, I thought about it and decided to go for it. I just had Laser Iridotomy on my right eye this morning and I am surprised and pleased at how wonderful I am seeing and feeling right now. I intend to have my left eye operated on next week and look forward to continuing to develop a relationship with Dr. Singh and his staff. GO!

Dr. Siu was very friendly and detailed in explaining my issue, what could have caused it and what she recommends I do to correct and maintain the health of my eye going forward. I felt very comforted by her assessment and recommendations. The billing for the services was a little bit confusing. I have a high-deductible insurance plan so I was aware that I would be paying a decent amount to satisfy my deductible but the staff phrased it in such an odd way. They told me it would be a $300 deposit and if my insurance ended up covering some then they would refund me and if it ended up costing more they would bill me. They repeated this to me even after I was done with my eye exam. This was odd because they should know what services were provided during my visit and how much it could cost and despite trying to get clarification they continued to speak in a cryptic way suggesting it could be less, it could be more, who knows? I understand that insurance is complex and things may or may not be covered for whatever reason but providing the patient with a general range of what things may cost should be a base line expectation in my opinion. I visited in March and I had to call in May to receive the refund of the excess of my initial deposit despite the explanation of benefits being available in early April. If you do pay the deposit here make sure you are doing your due diligence with your insurance.

It's off of busy Queens Blvd near the mall so there is basically no parking. The address takes you to the storefronts but the entrance to the medical offices are around the corner. Once you actually get it just follow the signs. The office itself was fine, a little bit old with wear and tear. All the workers I dealt with from the receptionists to the nurses and the doctor were great. Very friendly and communicative, they explained everything that was happening, asked me lots of questions as well as answered all of my questions. I also appreciated that in these pandemic times everyone was still wearing a mask and they wiped down every piece of equipment including the chairs with disinfectant wipes. Dr. Nobe was awesome, I've never had an eye doctor that actually showed me the results of the exams and talk about them. Since I take medication that could be toxic to my eyesight, I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything. I also appreciated the eye exam and him giving me my prescription which I could use anywhere! Prescription sunglasses here we come! It was a great visit and I intend to make this my official ophthalmology office.

I went to Davidoff Optical based on the review on Yelp so I was not sure what to expect. I made my appointment even though walk ins were welcomed. It was a family run business by a father and son team. It's been serving the community for 25 years which translate to quality services putting me at ease. Robert screened my vision for glasses and contacts. He was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my questions. The rest of my eye exam was performed by Tele-Optometry, the latest technology where the optometrist reviews my information remotely and make any necessary adjustments. It may sound strange but it the same as having the doctor on site. I was thoroughly impressed. Jack assisted me with my frames. He was patient, professional and worked with me to get the best one to compliment the shape of my face. There was a large selection of designer frames and the prices were very reasonable. I have been going to Dr Retinski since I was a teenager, I wish I could say it was recently but more like 30 years now. Robert and his father treat you like family. A professional at all times and knows all of his products and materials that he will supply you to give the best comfort and feeling that you can have wearing contacts or glasses. I go out of my way a half hour to go see them and its worth every trip. The staff is friendly and knows how to treat everyone with respect and kindness. There never seems to be a problem with an appointment or insurance at this place. If you ever have a question they will answer it even if its not the answer you wish to hear they will work with you to make you happy and comfortable. Formal Review I have been a loyal patient at this office for years and have always appreciated the professionalism and kindness of the front desk staff. However, my recent experience with Dr. From was disappointing. During my 12-year-old's eye exam, I was calmly guiding my child to avoid excessive blinking when Dr. From abruptly and condescendingly interjected, stating that he "can't compete" with me. His tone was unnecessarily aggressive, which I found unprofessional. When I addressed his rudeness, he then seemed reluctant to explain the changes in my child's prescription. Once I tried out the contacts and realized the prescription was too strong, I called the office and Dr. Park was able to review my notes and revise my prescription without a follow-up visit.
