Buyer Beware: If you're considering purchasing from David Yurman, be aware that the high price tag doesn't guarantee high quality. And if your piece needs fixing down the line, expect to pay through the nose for something that should have lasted longer in the first place. Save your money and look elsewhere for jewelry that holds up to its promises without extortionate repair costs. Absolutely Disappointed with David Yurman's Jewelry Quality and Repair Pricing I bought the Petite Helena Open Ring in 18K Yellow Gold with Diamonds (2.5mm) as a gift back in December 2020 for $1,350.00. I trusted that purchasing from a brand with such a high-end reputation would ensure not only beautiful craftsmanship but also longevity. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. After only a few years of wear, the ring needed repairs and refurbishment. I brought the ring into the store, expecting quality service that would reflect the premium price I paid. Instead, I was hit with an outrageous repair estimate of $750.00--almost half the price of what I originally paid for the piece. This is simply absurd. The ring's quality has not held up, and now I'm being charged a SHOCKING fee to fix something that shouldn't need such extensive work after just a few years. Makes me wonder--if David Yurman stands by the quality of your products, why aren't you willing to back them with better warranties or even reasonable repair pricing? The fact that you charge exorbitantly for repairs instead of addressing possible craftsmanship issues speaks volumes about the lack of integrity behind the brand. read more

David Yurman - Order Receipt - Jewelry Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Terrible - would give ZERO stars if an option. Purchased the Madison bracelet - paid over $1000+ for it due to alternating gold and silver links. Not two weeks after the purchase, it slipped off my wrist due to a faulty clasp. Numerous friends experienced the same situation with loose latches, defective latches that needed repair. Luckily they noticed before it fell of their wrists. David Yurman knows of the design flaw based on the number of reported repairs yet they don't care. Terrible customer service, did not care one iota only told me to buy superior home owners insurance. NOPE ....next time, I'll but superior quality jewelry with superior customer service elsewhere. No thank you David Yurman! read more

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at David Yurman in Boston while shopping for our wedding bands. We were assisted by John, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He guided us in the right direction, and we found two unique pieces that we love. John was also easily accessible via text, helping me swap out a ring size and keeping me updated throughout the process. Even when John wasn't available, the other staff members were kind and professional, which was a refreshing contrast to other stores we visited where the staff seemed uninterested in helping. (and even too good for us ie. Tiffany's). This store made us feel comfortable and at ease, which is so important when shopping for such meaningful jewelry. Highly recommend David Yurman for a great experience! read more

Ricky gave 10/10 service. So personable and kind. He helped us so much in the store. He helped us with our exchanges and was a great salesman. read more

Not surprised to see so many complaints about the staff... if I wasn't in the Christmas spirit there prob would've been an uproar in here because of the rudeness of the lady helping us. Bothers me so much I can't stop thinking about how much I want to expose her for her rudeness. read more

Maggie was an absolute delight! We arrived very close to closing due to unforeseen circumstances and she warmly greeted us and whisked us away to try on the pieces we'd mentioned being interested in. She located the two bracelets I wanted to try on and in the sizes I was in between. We decided on the extra small Madison bracelet and the transaction couldn't have gone smoother! Important to note, we came in gym clothing with maybe ten or fifteen minutes to spare and she still patiently helped us without making us feel rushed or unwelcome. She gave us her business card and we will certainly be back! read more

I must say, This is by far the best place to buy Yurman jewelry. Not only is the staff highly professional & knowledgeable, but if they honestly do not know something they bend over backwards to find the answer. I have had pieces that broke & with no questions asked they sent me a replacement free of charge. Can't do more then that. They have a fabulous inventory so if you should be looking for something special 9 out of 10 they will have it in stock. read more

Thank you Sue for helping me find the perfect ring. I have been eyeing a ring for many months and finally decided to go today and purchase it. I needed to see it and try it on for myself just to seal the deal. My friend and I arrived at 730 PM which was thirty minutes before they closed but we never felt pressured to hurry. Sue helped us and was so kind and sweet. No pressure to purchase and no snobbiness. I tried on two rings but Sue gave me honest feedback. I appreciated it! Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend to family and friends. Can't wait for my next DY experience. read more

This store is absolutely horrible! Quality of items has gone so downhill. I went through multiple bracelets that kept on breaking. The latest repair was so bad that you could see where it was made with a naked eye. They did exchange for another bracelet, but when i tried to add to insurance my jeweler could it authenticate. When I called the store the manager Jack was half yelling at me. Said there is nothing he can do since original bracelet was not purchased from them (it was purchased from Nieman Marcus). Seriously? Not even an attempt to make it right for the brand or the customer, instead I got an earful from him. Honestly don't waste your money on Yurman buy something that is good quality and will actually last. read more

I can see why people believe the staffs are snotty. In some extent, all luxury stores' staffs are snotty by nature. I was in this store twice. The first time I went in, all the staffs were busy. Even when they were done, they went to the back instead of greeting me. 10 minutes later, a lady helped me. We went through rings, neckless, and bracelets. She was very patient. Anyway, I picked up a bracelet for myself, but they didn't have my size. A few days later, I went back to pick up my bracelet. The lady who helped me was not there. Because I had picked up a few gifts from the Hermes store on the way there(with bags). The staff offered me immediate help. I can see the attitude changed. Well, as I said, they are the salesperson. They have to pick and choose. Although it's not very satisfying on the receiving end. read more

Dizzy, ditzy staff! I've been to about a half dozen Yurman shops so I'm familiar with the staff. Dropped a ring off to have a repair done. They were to replace the stone. They lost it. A few weeks later, I get a call saying "we found it, if you want the stone replaced it'll be *insert amount*".. When I tell them, not only myself but someone else has already been over this and ok'd it, they act like it's the first time they heard of it. Keep notes, people! A girl called me a couple times to help me with the issue and her accent was so thick I couldn't understand a word she said. Seeing she's calling from the Boston shop and I said "I'm so sorry but I can't understand the question or what you said, with your accent" you would think they'd hand the phone to someone more local, that I can understand. And yes, I know she was based in Boston.. I spoke of her in the shop and the girl I spoke with said "oh I know her, she's right in back". A month after the "ok, do the repair", I found myself in Boston again and decided to stop in. I spoke with the girl working, who said "what is the piece of jewelry", I told here and she quoted me a price in the thousands. I'm thinking "wow for a repair that's steep". I ask when can I expect it back and she says "well, we have to get it from another store". Confused I ask "they do the repairs in a store". Her "oh you sent it out?" "you don't want to buy the ring?". DUH! I told her the backstory from the beginning.. and then I had to retell it. Eventually I got my ring back and the replacement stone was beautiful. It shouldn't have taken 5 months, many phone calls, and much confusion on both ends, though. Staff is indeed friendly, but not exactly with it. Side note at Angel M. I wear about 4/5 pieces at a time and I've yet to get called out for being "tacky". I also don't feel it has a dungeon atmosphere. It's a little darker than other Yurman shops but the lighting puts the focus on the jewelry and makes it easier to focus on just that vs the surroundings. read more

I just wanted to take moment and applaud John D from the Copley location. I have sadly had two problems with my Renaissance ring and he has gone above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and happy. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind. After being a customer for years I was treated horrible when I returned a piece of jewelry my husband purchased for me. My husband had bought numerous pieces at this location for the last 10 years. I have never returned any until he purchased a duplicate piece. I went I'm with the item , receipt, everything!! My husband was traveling so I went in by myself. It was if I was a second class citizen treated awful I swear they wanted to finger print me!! I will never purchase again !! David Yurman treat your long time customers with respect!! Way to loose customers especially the wives!!! read more

The people in this store are just wonderful. I was never a huge Yurmanite, as I know many people are, but I found myself inheriting a significant amount of David Yurman jewelry. The staff in this store were very helpful in helping me identify what exactly I had, and sizing (and later repairing) some of the pieces. No pretention, no pushiness, just genuine friendliness. And I never purchased anything. (Not that $40 for a repaired clasp, or $60 for a re-sizing is something to sniff at). Also, timing for sizing/repairs have been much faster than quoted (probably to give them a bit of wiggle room). Most recently, they told me 12 weeks for a repair . . . my necklace came back in a week. Now, having spent a lot of time in this store, I'm a huge fan of some of the newer pieces - such as the larger gemstoned rings. Serious bling. If they only allowed trades. read more

I have worked in luxury retail for many years and have never been treated the way I was at this David Yurman location. The woman who was attempting to help me was incredibly rude, told me the ring I wanted to purchase was childish, and asked me how old I was as if my age equates to how much money I can spend someplace? Save yourself the time and dignity and shop online. No need to give the associates there your time or money when you're going to be treated like absolute garbage for no reason. read more

I have such mixed feelings about this place because I had two completely different experiences. I was interested in purchasing a ring for myself as a 30th birthday present. The first time I went into the store was more to decide on color, sizing, etc, and I wasn't planning on making a purchase. Cheryl could not have been more helpful. I went back and forth on a few colors, and she offered me suggestions as well. She assisted me with sizing and showed me a couple of different options. She wrote down detailed information about the jewelry I was interested in as well as pricing. Cheryl made polite conversation and answered all my questions - not once pressuring me into making a purchase. I should have made the purchase then. Based on that experience alone, I would've given the business five stars. I finally made a decision about my purchase and had gotten myself hyped up over it. The day before my birthday, I returned to the store. I smiled at the employee standing by the entrance, but he offered no assistance. I walked over to the counter where the ring was. Next to me were two ladies who looked like regular customers and were being helped. I was standing in front of the case for a couple of minutes looking at some of the other jewelery (because I am indecisive). The employee from the entrance walked behind the counter next to the associate helping the ladies. I finally looked up at him to ask a question, and he said "Oh I'm so sorry! I thought you were catering." They were having an event that night, but really? Was it the way I was dressed or looked? I had just come from my office job. Just a little upsetting when I was about to make a huge purchase and the employee thinks he can ignore me because apparently, I look like I work in catering. He had another sales associate help me. She was nice and answered all my questions, but something just felt awkward. The ladies next to me were laughing, sipping champagne, and the sales associate was really involved in helping them decide on a purchase. Although the associate helping me wasn't rude, I felt like I was a lesser customer. read more

I went to the store with every intention to buy a bangle. However it became literally impossible as I could not flag a single employee down to help or even acknowledge my presence within the store for a full 15 minutes. Rude staffers have made my decision to not support this business and I will purchase accessories elsewhere. Only positive was that the security gentleman in the front of the store was extremely friendly and also tried to help me get an associate. read more

The associates at this location are very snotty, rude, and unprofessional. I've had a couple bad experiences here. I only see one girl when I come in but she isn't even that nice. The associates here are VERY fake and make you feel very uncomfortable. I asked to speak to a supervisor on the phone once and the woman hung up the phone on me. They really are THAT awful. If it wasn't for location and the fact that I love David Yurman jewelry I wouldn't go to this location. I cannot understand how these women get away with it. Awful. read more

I have always loved David Yurman but my experience tonight sealed the deal. I went to pick up a bracelet I was having repaired but was disappointed to find that they couldn't get into the safe due to an event in the store. They offered to mail it to me next day but since I was going on vacation it would have been too late! Seeing that I was disappointed the woman offered to deliver it personally to my work downtown!!! Could not believe it, really above and beyond!! read more

My sister and I were visiting Boston from Chicago and we have this tradition where we stick to buying ourselves expensive jewelry on vacation/if there's a good story behind it/if the vibe is right (we hit all three in this case). Because everyone stalks Yelp these days, I looked up the Yurman in Copley Square and wasn't sold on everyone's reviews, but because Yelp is Yelp we still stopped by the store. I can't speak for everyone else's experiences, but we were completely blown away by the level of customer service and attention we received! The sales associate(shoutout to Sue!) we worked with was top notch. She pulled out bracelet after bracelet for my indecisive sister and I and when I wasn't sure about what I was trying on she pulled out more. She never tried to up sell us with her advice and the experience was genuine. I can't thank Sue and the DY team for a truly pleasant experience. I LOVE my bracelet and the story behind it. read more

David Yurman - Jewelry Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

let me start by saying that i love david yurman jewelry. i have a few gorgeous pieces, and love to browse the current inventory. a few weeks ago, my fiance and i went into the copley location, as we were interested in purchasing a piece we had seen online. after waiting for over 10 minutes to be acknowledged, we finally were told that we should wait until the next clerk was available. finally, the associate came over and began to help us. we had our eye on one particular piece, and when she pulled my size from the back it was clearly dirty and discolored - and the clean display piece was right there to compare! when i mentioned this, she completely denied it and told me that i wasn't looking at it properly. despite this experience, i still love the jewelry, but will not be going to the copley location. read more

Went in to the Copley after speaking to a sales associate on the phone, John, who was fantastic. Upon arrival, John was assisting another customer so we looked around the other counters until he was available. Keep in mind I am a 19 year old female in the store with my sister (28). Not one, but two other parties were welcomed and assisted before anyone acknowledged my presence. Unfortunately, in this price range, I expected to be looked over due to my age, I let it go. Finally after about 20-25 minutes a woman asked if we were being helped, we responded no and were so fed up that I asked to continue waiting for John. About 10 minutes later she came back and again said she would be willing to start us off, I let her know I had spoke with John on the phone and would like him to earn the commission on my purchase. Only then, once she realized we were serious about a purchase, did she offer us champagne as every other party in the store was offered upon arrival. This woman judged us entirely wrong and was just a stuck up sales associate - you never know someone's story. If there was another David Yurman store in the Boston area I would have let her know how awful her customer service was and took my business to another store. Now for the good - John was absolutely great! Ask for him if you venture into the store. He was so knowledgeable about not only their stock, but their entire inventory in the company and showed us tons of options to satisfy my indecisive thoughts. He was extremely honest and even encouraged me to purchase a less expensive stone. It was nice to know John was trying to sell me a piece of jewelry to fit my style and appearance rather than just trying to make an expensive sale. All and all - you have to fit a stereotype to be acknowledged in this store, but, if you are lucky and work with John you will not leave disappointed. read more

My husband bought a ring with a mother of pearl stone here about a year ago. David Yurman boasts free cleaning of their products and actually recommends it to cleaning it yourself. I brought my ring here and asked to have it cleaned, and it came back to me wet and possibly dirtier than before. If a store claims the only way to have their jewelry cleaned is to have it done there, then it should at least be better than I could do at home with a Q-tip and cold water. Additionally, while we waited, the salesperson was rude, snobby, and pushy. She said things like "David Yurman DOESN'T go on sale." All in all, no thanks. Not only will we not go back to this David Yurman, we probably won't buy anything else here. read more

Jordan and Christine were SO helpful when I went to return/purchase an item. I had lost the paper receipt and was worried I'd have a hard time returning without the physical copy. Jordan was especially patient when I was deciding between colors (I'm very indecisive) and she offered helpful suggestions in a polite yet genuine manner. I've definitely had the experience of working with "snotty" sales staff in luxury stores but these two were far from it. 5 stars for my staff experience- ask to see either of them if you need help! read more

This is store is very dark and almost dreary. They've slightly moved away from the typical gray carpet, gray felt, and low lighting jewelery store look (think Tiffany's), but not by much. It's very blah and does no justice to the juicy jewel tones Yurman uses. read more

I really like this store. I think the simple displays are easy to navigate and I enjoy the unique pieces. I am not a gaudy type of girl nor do I subscribe to bigger is better. I want jewelry that you cannot find in every store and that is simplistically beautiful and unique. The saleswoman that helped us the last time was pleasant but real. She didn't judge us and picked out pieces based on my likes/dislikes. We found a sapphire and sterling silver ring that was exactly what I didn't know I wanted. We are purchasing it and I am going to wear it for my wedding as my "something blue". I did think that the prices are a bit higher than expected but I am willing to pay. read more

The customer service in this boutique is surprisingly good. I bought a pair of cufflinks to give to my fiancé on our wedding day. I procrastinated a bit, whoops, so I ordered a pair online at first. They arrived damaged. While the online customer assistance gave me a hard time about exchanging a product in the store - they wanted me to send the product back and pay for shipping again, etc. - I went to the store on the off-chance I could do an even exchange and not have to repay for shipping. Luckily for me, Deanna was a breeze to work with! She was friendly, helpful, and not pushy at all. I ended up exchanging the cufflinks for a pristine pair, and I couldn't be happier. Not that I wouldn't go back even if the service was poor (I love me some Yurman), but this just seals the deal. (This experience, which could've been an annoying last-minute wedding glitch, almost makes up for my horrific experience at Odessa Shoe Repair, which ruined my wedding shoes. http://www.yelp.com/biz/odessa-shoe-repair-boston-2#hrid:7l-MR6gkYAoVGLTnDkiPiA) read more

I absolutely love shopping at the David Yurman Store at Copley. Bonnie is my "go to" gal, but Deanna is also wonderful. They remember me from visit to visit and are never pushy at all. The entire staff always makes eye contact and smiles and makes me feel welcome. I'm really shocked to hear negative comments about the staff since I have never seen them be anything but charming. Sometimes I do have to wait a long time because the store is crowded, but I always see it as a chance to visit my "friends" in the counters and to dream about the pieces I might someday own. I would highly recommend the store. read more

David Yurman in Boston is great. The jewelry is set up by family, which I love. Not scattered all around in some crazy fashion. If you have the pleasure of working with Damon, you will have a fun personalized experience. Pulling pieces from underneath that are not on display, if you really describe what you are looking for, chances are they will have something somewhere for you. This is not the place for bread and butter basics, but for fun, classy day to day or day to night pieces. read more

I received a beautiful David Yurman piece for my birthday this past November. Within two weeks the stones were rattling and I brought it back to the store. The sales person was so attentive and she said "oh my. Yes this needs to be fixed." Two weeks later I got the ring back and within four days the stones were rattling again as if the diamonds were to fall out. I brought it back. They said that they would send it to the David Yarman store in New York City to get it fixed as the last time they sent it to a local jeweler. The ring was gone for a month and it came back fixed. Within two weeks the stones were rattling again, I brought it back to the store and asked to speak to the manager. I waited about 25 minutes as the manager was out and the assistant manager was on the phone. When I finally met the manager she said "well if you're looking to do an exchange, you don't really need to see a manager all of our customer service representatives can do a simple exchange." She was so chilly and rather tone deaf and that I wanted to speak to why this happened three times in a row. She said "oh the ring isn't broken, Some of our stones just rattle like that." I said "well why did they send it out the last two times saying they were certain it was broken?" Unfazed she offered very little in the way of explanation and very little as to why this piece was going out and coming back in the first place. If it wasn't broken why did they send it to the David Yurman store in New York for a full month? I was surprised that such a high-end boutique would have such a laissez-faire response without any warmth or seriousness. This was my first David Yurman piece but I certainly won't go back to the Copley, if I'd like to get another. read more

I have purchased several pieces from this store and also had a repair of my ring done here (stone fell out). Every time, the staff are fantastic and the customer service is phenomenal. I most recently was in on Friday and purchased a ring and a bracelet. When I got home I noticed a slight scuff on the bracelet and wrote the salesperson Josh and email. Not only did he order a new one and is having mine replaced, but since I live a good distance outside the city, he arranged shipment. Fantastic service!! Having purchased a man's bracelet here a few years ago, and followed it up with more purchases in another Yurman store, we happily revisited this store. We were not disappointed. We would never be accused of looking like high end shoppers, but we were treated extremely well. The products are excellent, and the staff was superb and very attentive. We don't often come to Boston, but would certainly come back here. Knowledgeable and attentive staff seem to be a Yurman trademark. read more
