My wife and I went to BRAG to pick out her engagement ring and we also went back to get both of our wedding bands. It was a very special and personal experience as each visit was by appointment only. The room was accompanied by calming music and aroma. Ani was very helpful in guiding the process of choosing the details, she was patient and professional. The craftsmanship of the rings are elite. 10/10 recommend!

We were SO happy to find a local, family owned jeweler as we were in the midst of our engagement ring search. Ani was our main point person in communication and looking through the rings. She was so helpful, joyful and easy-going. We really appreciated her warmth and openness with helping us with our needs (instead of pushing any agenda on us). I absolutely love my ring and am so glad to have visited!!

Shopping for my engagement ring with BRAG, even during a pandemic, was a fun and painless experience. My boyfriend and I decided just over a month ago to look at engagement rings together because I'm extremely picky. After countless hours of looking for settings on the internet, I'm so glad I found BRAG's Yelp page. Their setting designs are beautiful, unique, and documented in high quality pictures. Compared to other jewelers in the Boston area and online retailers like Blue Nile and James Allen, BRAG's settings are, to me, by far the most beautiful and pay the most attention to detail. Plus, seeing them in person with Ani in a sanitized and COVID-respectful space was crucial -- something we couldn't have done with the online retailers we considered. When we met with Ani, she let us know that we could choose between natural and lab diamonds for the center stone. That was amazing to hear! I was set on getting a lab diamond due to its cost-effectiveness and the ethical uncertainties about diamond mining. Other jewelers we talked to don't supply lab diamonds and even tried to talk us out of getting one. After I picked out the setting, my boyfriend worked with Ani to pick out a lab diamond. All I had to do was wait for the surprise. Three days ago, he proposed! I was really surprised the ring was ready so quickly. I love it so much. We'll definitely be going back for our wedding bands.

If I could give 19 stars I would! The entire process was seamless. We had a private appointment with Ani for an hour to browse engagement rings and land on the PERFECT setting and stone. We had the same white glove customer service when choosing our wedding bands. Ani has impactable taste - she asked the right questions and was focused on our desires not the price tag. Both craftmanship and top notch service set this jeweler apart from others. My rings are absolutely stunning and I've received countless compliments. I can't wait to get my next piece of jewelry from them!

BRAG is on the 3rd floor of this historic Boston building.

If you want to work with a true family business, BRAG is the real deal. Ani made me feel welcome from the moment I spoke to her on the phone to make an appointment, to the moment that I walked into the door of their pleasant shop in the historic Boston Jewelers Exchange Building on Washington Street. Her brother Sevag quickly made me feel confident that he is a diamond and fine jewelry expert. I learned so much about what is important in understanding diamonds during my visit! But the greatest TREASURE of BRAG is their father Raffi. I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to meet him, see a true "old school" master at work, and enjoy the lovely interaction between him and his children. What a lucky man to have such a legacy. If you like doing business with people who love what they do, look no further.

I initially started my engagement ring search unsure of where to go as everyone I asked seemed to have a different favorite person or jeweler. I found BRAG via the Yelp machine and couldn't be happier with the result. Ani was a pleasure to work with as I selected the setting and diamond over a few visits. She explained everything I needed to know and more. Although I never met Sevag in the initial selection process, I want to say he's also great to talk with and did a phenomenal job with my fiancé's ring. When I picked the ring it up, it absolutely exceeded my expectations. After I proposed, my fiancé and our friends/family could not give enough compliments on the ring and how beautiful it was. We also had to get the ring re-sized which was such an easy process. We came in on a Saturday (Dec 21) and they even had it done before Christmas Eve! I can't thank Ani and Sevag enough for everything! We'll for sure be back for wedding bands. I'll definitely recommend BRAG to anyone and everyone.

When it comes to the second biggest decision in your life (not to mention a sizable financial decision), it requires a bit of research. Sure, you may get that referral from your trusty friend. But for people like me, who really dive in and do their research for something like this, you start to ask yourself questions around "what is fair and reasonable pricing for all those variables they call the '4 C's'? And should I go with recognizable brands such as that "blue box company" that has been in the diamond business for over a century? (Answer to the latter: no. Their ad spend and marketing/branding ploy results in higher margins. You're essentially paying for the pretty blue box." I spent a good solid 2-3 months to scope the industry out- reading reviews, visiting jewelers, learning more than I ever need to about diamonds and why the heck they're so expensive (thanks a lot De Beers...). Only one place had me going back to visit more than once- that was BRAG. Not only was the staff friendly and well-versed in the industry, but their custom made-in-house design settings were stunning. On top of that, they've got a great range and selection of diamonds that have all the information you need as to where/when they were purchased and their original source. One of the biggest reasons I went with them (besides the quality of their rocks and selection of settings) is because they truly are prioritizing the customer experience. I can definitely say that they're not in the business to sell a product or service to you. In fact, they have no need to be sales-y. Every time I go, they're always busy. And I would argue that Sevag works way too much already!! But upon my first visit, I could already tell their focus was to educate you on making the right decision. There was no pressure like I felt from other local jewelers and some of the bigger chains that the salesperson's need to hit a quota gets transferred to the customer experience. Ani and Sevag do an amazing job running the family business and we're so happy to have gone with them for both the engagement ring and the wedding bands. Just see for yourself some of the fine work that the crew procured :) (no, not a professional photo. That's an old iPhone camera's work. That's just how dazzling they are!)

I already knew…read morewhat I wanted to get from a prior trip to the Seaport Mejuri location and just needed to come in to check sizing. I looked up my items online, which was difficult given that (with no labels on any of the jewelry) I didn't know what to search on their website. So I was ready to purchase items, just needed to check sizes (which is what an in-person jewelry showroom is for). We waited in line due to store occupancy limits (understandable, it's a small location) and once we got in were immediately accosted by an associate who asked if we were finding everything ok. She disappeared once I said that I knew what I wanted and needed help with sizing. When I had to go ask someone from the back desk area for help, they rolled their eyes and scoffed at me for...asking them to do their job and help me understand the (unlabeled) sizing for the bracelet. If you're going to have no labels on your display for what the sample sizes are (20/22 inches for a chain necklace, a very slight difference, plus no idea which sample bracelet was for the M/L/XL sizes) at least have helpful staff! Then, when checkout time came I was told that the price was going to be more than I had originally budgeted for since we had picked out the necklace with a slightly larger diameter. I asked for clarification and the girl helping me gave the most convoluted explanation about the bracelet already being upsized. She expected me to already be knowledgeable about the different finishes too. I had to advocate for my 10% signup discount to be applied. And when we got home, one of the boxes was missing the storage pouch and polishing cloth. Overall a really scummy experience all around that I felt like I was being tricked and upsold with unclear explanations even when I knew what I was purchasing. I'm used to buying fine jewelry and having nice laid out options sheets that this business model was clearly lacking. Or even transparent pricing! I'm betting that they treat their staff poorly because they are so unenthusiastic to even help out people who know what they want! Such an unnecessarily stressful experience. The gals next door at Glossier are so much nicer and more helpful, and their price point for makeup is far less than the consideration for buying what is ostensibly marketed as fine jewelry. Most things are extremely marked up and of variable quality as compared to standard jewelers. I only came because I liked one particular design and had felt it before as solid. TL;DR Even if you already know what you want, don't go to the Mejuri on Newbury, maybe the one in Seaport instead. Very unhelpful layout and staff.

Cynthia created a beautiful engagement ring with quality craftsmanship and offered generous…read morepricing. However, the experience was ultimately overshadowed by how she handled a straightforward business question. When I politely asked to verify the ring sizing documentation from our consultation - a reasonable request given the additional cost for resizing on top of what we already paid for the ring itself - her response was shockingly emotional and defensive. She took my question as a personal attack on her integrity, accused me of showing "distrust" and "disrespect" and called my inquiry "an insult." She then abruptly ended our professional relationship. I had crafted my email multiple times to ensure it was polite and made clear we wanted to continue working with her regardless of the outcome. I even consulted with the mutual friends who referred us to make sure it was appropriate to ask. Everyone was surprised by how severely she overreacted to what was simply a request to review consultation notes for our records. While she did provide documentation showing the sizing was correct and offered a $200 refund (which I declined given the circumstances), her emotional response to a basic business question was completely disproportionate and unprofessional. She wrote that she could "separate the human from his/her words" and had "compassion for the human and understanding for the words - but her actual response showed neither compassion nor understanding. If you work with Cynthia, be aware that she may take any business question as a personal insult and react in an emotional manner. The work quality is good, but the inability to handle professional inquiries without becoming defensive is a significant concern.
