I'm sure my review isn't going to offset the 1-star reviews David's already got, but I really didn't have much of a problem with this place. I totaled my 2005 Ford Focus and decided to go for a bit of an upgrade, and decided I wanted a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. David had the car going for the cheapest rate within a hundred mile radius. Now, these other reviews strike me as being written by negligent car shoppers. People, there are procedures you go through when shopping for cars. These are obvious and absolutely essential if you don't want to get screwed over. 1. Go to the dealership 2. Find the car you want. 3. Write down the VIN, check it out on Carfax. DO THIS *YOURSELF.* 4. Check the value of the car on Kelly Blue Book 5. Bring the report to the dealer 6. Check out the car with the dealer and carfax report in hand, note everything wrong with it and make sure they see that you're noting it. 7. Go for a test drive. 8. If everything seems fine, take the car to a trusted mechanic and have them do a full-point inspection. Costs money, but you need to know what you're about to buy. 9. If there are problems, explain to the dealer that you won't be buying the car unless THEY pay to have the problems fixed. If they won't, get up and walk away. There are probably some other things I'm missing. One of the earlier reviews for this dealership says that they *ASKED* to see the carfax report. I find that to be absolutely amazing. You asked? Get off your lazy butt and do some of the work yourself. RESEARCH is required before any major purpose, especially a car! Display some adaptability and do some work that will benefit yourself. Anyway. I checked out the car, found it to be quite acceptable, took it to a mechanic for an inspection, and then brought it back with the mechanic's report. The car needed its transmission flushed and serviced, as well as something else I can't remember at the moment. The total amount to have this taken care of would have been $500+. I told David that this was a deal breaker for me. I wanted the car, but if he wasn't willing to make sure that it was in tip-top shape, I wouldn't be buying it. He agreed to pay for the service, and I bought the car. I still have it; wonderful vehicle. If you approach these people with a friendly, no-BS attitude, you show them that you know what you're doing, and you know how the game is played, they will not even TRY to screw you over. The problem is that it takes effort, intelligence, and RESEARCH for that to work. If you are the type of person that isn't willing to protect YOURSELF through a little bit of knowledge, you deserve to be ripped off, and I have no pity for you at all. Don't blame David for your astonishing ignorance. Four stars. read more

Purchasing a used car is always daunting - however - I purchased a Ford Fiesta from David about a week ago and it has given me no issues and remains a fair deal for the price purchased. David is very kind, honest, and I really appreciated his good natured spirit. Thank you, David! read more

David made the experience of buying a used car seamless. We were able to get it inpsected, test drive, etc. He is a very nice man with a no pressure approach. David even parted some of his wisdom, to my 17 year old, that we bought the car for. I apprecite that. Thank you, David! read more

I have a business that requires me to purchase vehicles on a semi regular basis. I ALWAYS purchase from David. I have bought probably 6 trucks & vans and 2 sedans from David. I have had a great experience every single time. I have found him to be honest, reasonable and very easy to work with. I highly recommend this business and look forward to working with him again. read more

I would go out of my way to buy a used car from David again. Not only was he extremely likable and kind, he was fair and honest. Rare qualities in a car salesman! He treated my husband and I with the utmost respect and was genuine in answering our questions and addressing our concerns. His values both morally and fiscally are superb. If you are in the market for a used car and you need a place to start, go see David. I would 100% recommend him to my family and friends. read more

OMG.... I was desperate for a car and I stumbled upon this place. I totally regret it!!! I had a bad accident a few months ago and completely totalled my beautiful shiny deep red 2006 Mustang. I went a month without a car, and couldn't find anything affordable. I found a decent looking car here, at an affordable (too good to be true) price. A few months later (NOW) I'm slowly finding out he sold me a a piece of crap car!! Now I see why a carfax is a must!!! Do NOT buy anything off this lot!! No good can come from it! read more

Recently bought a car from David and the process was pretty smooth. He helped me to find a bank to finance my vehicle ( since my credit was horrible ) and just helped me to get things done and seemed to be very honest. I would definitely recommend his services and vehicles. read more

Sketchy Dealer. I found a good deal here so I decided to check it out. I test drove the car and everything seemed fine. I inspected the exterior of the car and found that the fender was replaced. I wanted to know more on what happened to the fender and if it was in a accident, how severe it was. So I asked to see the CARFAX. He showed me portions of the carfax (page 2 and 4). I asked to see the rest of the CARFAX but he said he didn't have it (really?) So I asked him to get the full report and fax it to me. I waited a couple days for his reply but no response. I called a couple times to ask but he never called me back. Overall this dealership gave me negative vibes and the location was ghetto too. AVOID. read more

David is a real class act. I can only assume these negative reviews from people are completely full of it; used cars are used cars. Nobody knows all the issues. David was completely up front and honest about the good and the bad with the car, did not limit the test drive period like some people do, showed the carfax, issued a copy, answered all questions honestly and truthful. Would highly recommend but of course do your own homework and inspections like with any used car purchase. And no, David did NOT pay for this review. That is the dumbest thing I have ever read on a Yelp review by far. Thanks for an honest and pleasant experience David!!! read more

I was looking for a "very reasonably" priced used car. I went to David's lot 1st. He showed me a car, but I wanted to see the others I had on my list. I looked all day at several other cars, all around the same price. I ended up back at David's and bought my 1st choice. David could not have been more helpful, even analyzing some of the other cars I saw that day. Of course I knew HE wanted the sale, but I think I got a good deal here. David seems very down to earth and trustworthy. Time will tell. read more

We were looking for a mini-van for our expanded family under a pretty tight budget. David had a Chrysler Town & Country that we were hesitant about because they have a history of bad transmissions. He told us the history of the vehicle, including a rebuilt transmission he had just installed, gave us the paperwork, and some tips on how to avoid transmission problems in the future. The car has been great for the three months we have owned it. In my further research into transmission issues with mini-vans the advice he gave us was spot on. We will definitely buy our next vehicle from David. read more

Perfect if not excellent service. Really want to thank David for going out of the way and opening his shop for me when it was past his hours. Very knowledgeable about cars, really shows you all the pros and cons of a car. Very honest, leaves nothing unexplained. If you're looking for well running affordable used cars with a clean history, I really recommend David. Also very down to earth, would buy a car again from him. read more

AVOID. Total scumbag-car-salesman stereotypes. Smiling in your face, all warm fuzzy reassurances, with nothing to back it up. I bought a vehicle from them and got a check-engine light *two days later*. Called them up, they said to bring it to "their" mechanic (never mind that this is a huge out-of-the-way pain in the ass to me, and they know it). Guy clears the codes and says to see if they come back -- no actual repairs made. I drive a few weeks, a couple of the codes do come back. I call David back, he says bring it to his mechanic again if I want -- carefully wording it to sound like David might help out with actual repairs. When pressed, it turns out he will most certainly *not* give any actual help no matter what the mechanic finds, and I'm just up a creek. Thanks for the giant waste of my time, jerk! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE OR THEY WILL SCREW YOU TOO. read more

David made my first purchase buying a car a wonderful experience. He is very helpful, knowledgable and not high pressured like other car dealerships. I highly recommend anyone who needs a used car. Visit David's Motor. read more

David was pleasant, professional, straight foreword. I bought a used car at a reasonable price . He put some new tires on it for me and had it washed when I came to pick it up. I am happy with it . I've only driven it for a couple days but I bought it as is. It runs and looks good and I don't expect any major problems after I inspected it . It's on me now and I'm good. Thanks David. read more

I bought 2 cars from David. He deals quite a bit in older used cars. He took the time to explain the issues that certain models were prone to. Bought one car for my daughter in high school and when she went off to school in the fall he sold it again for a better price. My experience is that he stands by his cars and he wanted me to have the best possible experience. read more

I was shopping for a Toyota Tacoma and came upon David car lot He was very polite and honest as a car salesman can be, He didn't push the sale at all! I didn't have all the funds at the time but he trusted me anyways a let me drive off. Now that was awesome!!! I am very happy with my truck and the service was the Best! I gave a 5 star on Service! read more

David is very accommodating and straight forward. He also dropped the price. I haven't purchased the car yet because of unanticipated delays in my life due to health issues. He offered to hold back the vehicle i'm interested in until I get another chance to get back to him. I live in Santa Cruz and it's at least a half hour drive to get there when I can get the time. read more

What a GREAT and positive car buying experience! I'm not sure what happened to the others who have written a bad review for David Motor Inc., I can only speak from my experience, and it was a very pleasant one. I found the car I wanted to buy on AutoTrader.com. It was located at David Motor in Campbell, Calif. I live in Oregon. Over 300 miles may seem a long way to go to buy a car, but the price was great, and the car was exactly as David represented. David was personable, and helpful throughout the process. There was no heavy sales pressure as is so prevelent in almost all car sales establishments. I will definitely recommend David Motor to anyone who is looking for a nice car at a very fair price. read more

David was super nice my mother bought a Ford Explorer and he lowered the price as well ! I bought a 1999 Toyota Corolla from David is running perfect. He straight forward and don't front like other places. Honesty and respect . Thanks David read more

My son and are shopping for an affordable vehicle, cash in hand. I saw several ads placed by David Motor Inc. There was a Kia Spectra5 that we decided to go see. What we found was a nearly deserted lot with a "FOR LEASE" sign up. Maybe 6 dirty vehicles sitting there and the place was closed. So, if you see one of there ads don't be fooled by the appearance of it. You can't see what the lot and shop really look like. read more

It's a miracle how these people even survive in the car business. When I first got there, there was no parking space, so I had to park on the street that says "no parking." Then, a guy named Eddie with a really bad attitude showed up. I pointed to where my car was and asked him where I can park my car, then he asked me "are you here to sell your car??" I said "no, I am here to buy." Then, he got pissed and said "Then, why do you show me where you car is??" I wanted to walk away, but I thought this is too funny to be true. So, I asked him to show the car I came to see and asked him to tell me something about the car. Eddie said "Well.... it's red, it runs well, everything is good." hahaha..... Then, I asked him to show me the carfax. He took me inside the office to see the owner, David. David asked me if I am going to buy the car, but I told him I will think about it after I see the carfax. Then, he said "What's there to think about? It's only $9995!!??" At this point, I was just amazed and decided to walk away... if any one is bored and want to see how people failed their business, you should come check it out and see how funny these people run their business... it's kind of sad really.... read more
