The atmosphere could have been more relaxing. A phone rang pretty loudly at one point, and the conversations among staff were a bit loud, which made it harder to unwind. For clarity, when I went blonde in 2020 before Covid it was Jackie @ Mcrae & Co on Marketplace that took me to my first step. Arden seemed like a logical choice being a mile down the road, and word-of-mouth was excellent so I pulled the trigger and made the call that changed my hair journey forever. Tracy is the owner at Arden. Heather and Crystal are the other amazing stylists with chairs in the salon. ALL of these women are incredibly-friendly and happen to know what they're doing. I've never once seen the salon empty unless I was the last person leaving from an appointment. It's a comfortable, feminine space, clean, inviting and the cutest selection of eye-catching local jewelry and garments as well as hair products. It's a space you WANT to get your hair done in...trust me. Cut and color prices are extremely reasonable. I'm a bottle blonde with a "bixie" that needs maintenance on the regular, and rather than pay a small house mortgage each time, I'm pleasantly surprised by the price after every visit. No sticker shock here. Tracy keeps notes on my color so I never have to worry about what was done "last time". She's also a doll, so it makes being in her chair that much more fun. When I arrived for my appointment, I found they had ample parking and there was plenty of open spots. When I walked in, I could tell they were busy and I was greeted by a lady - (didn't get her name ) who was obviously in a hurry to the point of being short and rude ...that immediately left a bad taste in my mouth. My stylist came up to greet me a few minutes later and she also seemed to be in a hurry. She did ask me a few questions about the style and or color I wanted. She was not very talkative and was in a rush . Not sure if everyone was just having a bad day there or what. The color turned out very harsh looking compared to what I am used to - I don't think she used a toner afterwards. The cut looked good however...so I did leave a tip - but regret doing so. I won't be back. I'm sure this is probably a great place when the staff is not rushed and/or rude- based on my experience, this place was not for me.
