Simply put if you're not going to Dave's muffler shop your wrong! Brought in a 2015 Scat Pack Shaker Challenger to have Dave and his son Dave put on a new set of pipes and cutouts. Had a SLP Loudmouth II and a dual electric cut outs by QTP installed. Of course the SLP didn't fit worth a crap even thou is was advertised as being compatible. Dave and Dave spent a lengthy amount of time going over how the pipes would fit. Length, bends, location, proper cuts and so forth to ensure proper fit. Next came the cut outs and this represented a new problem, no real good place to add them forwards of the resonator/muffler due to lack of space. After looking at the set up the two Dave's decided to run two custom made and fitted pipes forward of the resonator/muffler back along the outside of the SLP pipes to a location where the cutouts would fit and look good. These pipes Dave and son handmade and fitted from their shop. In the end due to how much work had to be done to get the SLP to fit and running the cutouts to a good location Dave and his son put in a good 7 hours each in total time. Way more time than expected. Also they allowed me to stand in the bay and watch them work (open bay) and carried on some good conversation with them. Very friendly to deal with, both take great pride in ensuring that the work they do is top notch and done right the first time! Will I go back? It is hard to find honest business people any more but this man is one of them. I have taken my car to him twice and both times he found another issue with the car that would have sent me and my money somewhere else. He was honest enough to tell me that if he fixed the catalytic converter it wouldn't fix the car even if that was the code it was giving. He quoted me $300 less than the cheapest place I called to fix the catalytic converter to begin with then sent me away without working on it. I went today to have him replace it anyway since the code is still on there and again he found a different issue but did the work anyway after i asked him to at a very reasonable price. I would recommend him to anyone needing muffler or catalytic converter work done. read more

2 Mechanics said my vehicle issue was caused by the Cat Converter, I took the car into Dave's Muffler being an exhaust specialist, and having fantastic reviews. Before hoisting the vehicle he said my symptoms would not be caused by the Cat. He then hoisted the vehicle, tested air pressure from the Cat and showed me the filter saying that the Cat was perfect. He then pointed out a different problem being that one of the motor mounts was broken even though he does not repair that. He then did not charge me for inspecting the cat even though I offered to pay him for his time, he simply said bring me a beer sometime. I took my 2002 Prius to Dave's Muffler today to have the catalytic converter replaced. I had received a quote from a local Toyota dealership for $1600 for parts and labor, with the expectation of having the car out of commission for a whole day. Dave was able to work my car into his schedule within 24 hours, only took 1 hour to replace the catalytic converter, and the bill came to $194 for parts and labor. He said he hasn't done much work on hybrids, and charged a low rate for labor so he could "get the practice". We've used Dave as our primary source for exhaust system work for years. We had a rattle under our car... Golden Rule Brake recommended Dave's Muffler. Turns out that there was just a huge chunk of ice between the body and the muffler. Dave's got us in right away and had it fixed in about 15 minutes! Didn't try to sell us anything and didn't even charge us!
