No cover charge and I could eat a dozen donuts. We got the scones and apple strudel as well. Both 12/10! The apple cider is also off the charts. Some of the best I've had. The pies are super fresh and I wanted one of everything! They post that they sell at local DeCicco's as well but can't confirm if it's all flavors... No u pick apples but they have every variety imaginable in the stand and all were fresh like they were picked that day. Plenty of other farm fresh veggies and honey. There is also some spots to eat outside and a food truck with some pizza and bbq options. The road to get here is a little rough. Super narrow and some spots where only one car can pass at a time. There is a parking lot and street parking available. Would very much depend on the time of day and year you are going but we were able to get a spot in front at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend for anyone of all ages especially if you love apple cider donuts!

Around 2pm, they were sold out of pork and wings. Live music outside (country) and several picnic tables outside. Bathroom is an outhouse. The donuts are good - they're the fried kinds. Not super friendly staff. The cheddar scone was suepr dry and tough - it wasn't flaky at all.

However the owner is extremely insensitivity and cruel. On several occasions, I've heard him talking down to his workers and if that wasn't bad enough, he was rude to me on several occasions as well. He's very intimidating to speak to about just about anything! I've tried winning him over with logic and kindness, but he's just awful. During my last experience, I asked him to please clean the serving spoon because my daughter is severely allergic to nuts - a practice that the workers typically do before they serve my daughter's ice cream because there are other ice cream flavors that contain nuts. He nearly snapped at me! His response was that he knew what he was doing and he went on and on in front of other customers. I politely waited until all the customers walked away and tried to reason with him. I kindly explained that my daughter is severely allergic to nuts and has to carry an epipen wherever we go. Again, he replied rudely, despite my explanation and patience. He replied that he "wasn't going to kill" my kid. I was taken back! He said all this in front of my child. We both were stunned by his insensitivity and rudeness. Honestly, I wanted to simply leave and cry in my car, but I had to show face in front of my child. I walked to the register, paid for my order, and walked away. Since then, I haven't returned. I don't know who wrote all the recent good reviews - perhaps, the owner's friends and family. I'd scroll down to read all the horrible reviews because they're speaking the truth. The owner is outright careless, nasty, and has no customer skills whatsoever. Unless you want to be insulted and treated like a peasant, I'd stay away from this place.

They are huge and so impressive everyone wanted to know where I got them from. I cannot thank Mark the owner enough for going above and beyond for me!! I am greatly looking forward to when I change this from a two star to a five star review…read more Almost exactly a year ago hayfields was sold to new owners. At the time, hayfields was popular, but suffered from a variety of challenges that made it subpar. While it did have a nice array of pastries and some prepared foods, etc., its coffee was always abysmal. And for some strange reason the centerpiece of the customer ordering counter was an always-broken coffee machine that takes horrendous pods to make your coffee. I've popped in several times since the change of ownership. The changes I've noticed are some improvements to the building (e.g. new concrete), an 80% reduction in the array of products offered including the elimination of most of the bakery cases and the prepared food section, and the broken unplugged pod machine still center stage. It's been a year. Granted it can take some time to evaluate a newly acquired business and get it up on its feet and pointed in the right direction. But... It's been a year. Today my traveling companion ordered a coffee, took one sip, and threw it in the garbage. I ordered a green tea, it was made with boiling water - anyone in the restaurant business knows that green tea is made with 180° water (if it's made with boiling it immediately turns bitter and undrinkable) - and it went directly into the garbage. Hayfields could be a winning business. It has the good fortune to be located in a coffee desert. Why it is taking so long to transform the business is a mystery. I'll check it out again in six months and see if it's turned in the right direction.

They have beautiful fresh flowers and a table with an array of items that would make great gifts! Also loved to see the flower bar area - I bet it's a fun space for classes! The Healthy Wrap was fresh and delicious! The cold brew tasted more like a watered down iced coffee (not strong but not bad!) Free wifi. Gender neutral restroom. Accessibility is debatable, with an unevenly paved parking lot, and small bathroom with difficult to open door. Would hope to see improvements in that area Definitely worth stopping in for a bite... horses and dogs eat free!

I got the salmon bagel, and added capers, onions and tomatoes (which is $0.75 extra). They whipped up a unique take on this breakfast favorite, with the salmon, onions and tomatoes chopped up and topped on the bagel like a bruschetta. It was fresh and flavorful. Also got my beloved cortado, which came in a huge mug & I could actually hold the cup because there was a handle vs. the normal cortado cups that are burning hot with no option to hold them other than to burn off your finger tips on the hot glass. (Who invented those?!) The chef (who I suspect is also an owner?) was super chipper and friendly, and he delivered my dish, while the sweet barista brought out my coffee. This spot is giving homegrown local vibes, and I'm here for it.
