Parking was easy enough to find, which is always a nice way to start the morning. Inside, the deli was clean, well lit, and had a welcoming neighborhood feel. The staff was friendly, and my order came out quickly.
I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll with black pepper, a sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll with black pepper, and a bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread.
The bacon, egg, and cheese on the roll was my favorite. The bacon was smoky and savory, the eggs were fluffy, there was plenty of melted cheese, and the black pepper tied everything together perfectly.
The sausage, egg, and cheese was also very good. The sausage itself had excellent flavor. It was savory with a nice little kick that made it stand out. My only critiques were that the roll tasted a little old and dry, and I wish the sausage patty had been a little larger so it covered the entire roll. Even with those minor issues, it was still a very enjoyable sandwich because the quality and flavor of the sausage really carried it.
The bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread was just as enjoyable as the one on the roll, minus the black pepper. It had the same quality ingredients and generous portions, making it another excellent breakfast choice.
To top it all off, they were kind enough to let me try a few of their donuts. They were very good. Fluffy, fresh, generously sized, and not overly sweet. They were exactly what you hope for when you grab a classic donut.
Another thing worth mentioning is the value. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you receive, which makes the experience even better.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable breakfast. Good food, friendly service, fair prices, and a quick turnaround make this an easy place to recommend. If you're in the area and craving a quality breakfast, Uncle Leo's & Rosny Gourmet is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back to work my way through more of the menu.
