I'm just here to say how DELICIOUS this dish was with just the right amount of heat in the spices and the texture was wonderful with the crunchy nuts mixed with the tenderness of the noodles. It is an excellent grocery store, especially for prepared foods, like soup and pizza, for instance. The store is always clean and well organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. They also offer free coffee and tea as a self-service "perk." The coffee is great, by the way. I also like the pastries in the bakery, the deli, and seafood. I wouldn't recommend it for papers and small sundries like cough medicine as those might cost a little more than big box markets. If you're looking for a more neighborhood feel with and appearance, this is the place to shop. read more

Not 100% sure what people are expecting from here, but it's all about the convenience. "Big Dave's" is just a 2 minute drive up the road so if you want variety and more selections I'd go there. But big Dave's is also a mob scene half the time with no parking when it's busy. Enter "little dave's" a great stopover for the quick essentials, with ample parking, a friendly staff, and you still get the great brick oven pizza and deli (deli is smaller than larger Dave's but still nice selection). read more

Popped in for some quick prepared food. The deli staff was clearly annoyed with my presence. The young man literally said "You want something?" after I waited (at least 4-5 minutes with no other customer in sight) to give my order. There was no "May I help you" or "Thank you" at all. Great place to run into to get some prepared foods. They also have a good bakery and the produce is always quite fresh and in good condition. The pizza that they make to go or that you can cook at home is excellent and the people are always extremely friendly which is to me a reflection of the management. I have shopped at many of these marketplaces and they are all very nice and very clean and very good. The prepared foods that they offer now have just added on to an already good selection of groceries. read more

This rating is only for their fruits. They are worth traveling further to buy. 2x now I have brought apples pears etc that look fine on the outside but when you eat them home they are all discolored inside and taste horrible. I can only think they chemically coat the outside to keep them appearing fresh long after they aren't anymore. Will definitely travel to SS instead from now on. read more

I love Dave's! Their meats are the best! As is their produce! I have never left disappointed!

When you're not in need of prepared foods, or as many specialty items but still wish to shop locally owned, and at a higher quality for produce, meats, fish and the like, this is the perfect stop. Don't expect this to be a full bells and whistles Dave's Market, it's not. You'll need to go over a few plazas to the hell that is smithfield crossing for in-house made baked goods, sushi, the salad bar, and a wall full of prepared foods that would span along the entire side of this smaller market. If i just need some cold cuts or an odd but not too odd vegetable that Price Rite couldn't supply me with, I am likely to try this Dave's over trying my luck and patience in the parking lot of the other Smithfield Dave's. I have never seen a line here, and the employees are incredibly nice and helpful at this location. read more

THIS STORE DOES NOT FOLLOW MASK GUIDELINES! Manager was rude and said "it's bad for business to enforce the mask rule, so there's nothing we are doing about it". This is the second time we have seen entire families with no masks on while there is a mask mandate in RI. read more

I like this Dave's much better then the bigger "fancy" ones. I think Dave's can be a little too expensive at times but when they have stuff on sale you can find some good deals. I look at their weekly flyers time to time and I usually only shop here when they have a good price on something. Overall I think the place is good for small odds and ends/ sales/produce but as far as all the other grocery items I think there are cheaper places around. This location is cute,convenient and the workers all seem very nice. read more

Beware, nasty people in the meal and food department. Cashier are always nice. Meat is very often rotten. Go the the big Dave's.

This is my go to market. Great prepared foods when u dont feel like cooking. Meat departmenthas a great selection as does the seafood dept. Great weekly deals. I would jist stay away from the frozen food isles. A bit pricey and can find better deals at other local markets. read more

I would give this market zero stars if I could. They have an incredibly limited selection, and what little they DO carry is NEVER fresh. Their produce is always shitty looking, and I just got some ground beef today that's ALREADY grey (on the inside) and smells funky. I'm amazed they are still open for business with the larger Dave's and Stop and Shop right down the street. read more

Being from out of state, I'm new to Dave's, but I really like what I've seen so far. Everything is super fresh, and even in this smaller Dave's location, there's a really good selection. The employees are attentive and the prices are good. And where the prices are a little higher than Stop & Shop, etc., I find they are definitely worth it, as far as the quality goes. And free coffee! I've found that a Dave's gift card makes a great Christmas gift. Wish we had a Dave's in Massachusetts, you Rhode Islanders are lucky! read more

You could not pay me to go here after what happened on my last visit. The customer service from the cashiers was always bad - they treat you like a buddy instead of a respected customer. I was waiting in line, in a very good mood, and singing along to the Elton John song that was on the overhead speaker. When it was my turn, I stopped singing and handed the cashier my purchases, which she rang up. As I was handing her my cash, she asked me if I wanted to "finish singing the song". I told her, "No; I'd like to cash out, please". She again offered to "let" me finish singing (mind you, I stopped singing a few minutes before). I again told her I wanted to pay for my purchase and leave. The cashier responded, "It's okay! I don't mind waiting!". I told her that I DID mind; I was in a hurry and had stopped in for a last minute purchase. I would normally go to the Stop and Shop across the street, but I thought this place would be quicker. Boy was I wrong! I was still standing there, offering the cashier my money, while she smiled and giggled and said, "the song's almost over; why don't you finish it?". I finally had to get rude with her, drop an F-bomb and tell her in no uncertain terms that I wanted to "pay for my purchase and get the f*** out of here, never to return if this is how I will be treated!". She FINALLY complied, and acted the part of the wounded party. I was going to let this go, but discovered that the other local location has even worse customer service. It's a wonder how this place has managed to thrive with employees like this. read more

Showed up last night about 10 minutes before closing as my wife likes some of the items there. Planned to do my whole shopping at Dave's. Half the fruit was put away. I asked if I could get some deli products and the worker turned to say that the slicers were all disinfected already. They had a floor cleaning machine running all over the place while you tried to grab items. I just put my product back and went across to Stop and Shop for a wider range of goods and for staff who would wait on me at the deli. read more
