I'm gonna be very honest, that review of how long it takes the food to come out even when the inside is dead and the drive thru has a few cars is very true. I love the food, but even with the front cashier being very sweet and nice, the output of orders is way too long. Mind you, i saw their POS that shows status of food orders and mine is the only one on there. I thought going inside would be faster but clearly it wasn't. I waited over 35 mins for 1 Slider w/Fries. I went and asked the front desk and they said "sorry, the kitchen didn't see it on their side" so if I never had asked after 30mins I would've never seen my order. It came out in less than 2 minutes right after. read more

I went through drive thru yesterday around 6:00 pm and was very disappointed with the service. At first everything seemed to be going well , mid way through my order the girl at the speaker kept asking me to repeat myself. She seemed very distracted while I was ordering. I had just got out of work and was trying to grab a quick bite. However I didn't think it would take me about 5 minutes to order 2 meals and a drink. I have been here several times to know what I want to order. When I got to the window the girl had a bit of an attitude and seemed distracted once again. Tonight was my first time here. I have to say the vibe inside was very laid back and welcoming. A little crowded ( which says a lot about the food) wish it was a little more spacious however. The service made up for it, and specifically by one worker. Gustavo was outstanding! His mannerism and professionalism was above par, I was ready to leave and ordered a fry to go. Just so I didn't wait he personally went it the back and packed it up for me. True respectful and great worker. Takes pride in his work. I like that, especially in this world now. EVERYTHING TASTES AWFUL AND IS BURNED OUTSIDE AND UNDERCOOKED ON THE INSIDE!! I cannot believe how they sell this type of chicken to customers! Checking was undercooked, as shown in the image, and people could become SICK: Eating undercooked chicken can cause food poisoning, resulting in symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and fever. Avoid eating it!!! It is not safe to eat chicken here. "The chicken looked and tasted old!!!!" TO THE MANAGER: Please review your cooking method and cook your chicken; it is burned on the outside but uncooked on the inside. To say the customer service here is bad would be an understatement! It's awful. Pitiful. An unbelievable really bad joke. I ordered my food at 7:09 and didn't get it until 7:39 in a MOSTLY empty restaurant. I could understand waiting 30 minutes to get my food on a Saturday night, but anything over 15 minutes on a Monday evening is just pure fucking laziness. To make matters worse, 2-3 people who came in after me were getting their food before me. Oh and as I was filling my water cup up with WATER , the sloppy b-tch behind the counter who should've gave me my food first before running her mouth is going to tell me, "ma'am it's water only" as if the clear cup didn't already show I was filling up water. The attitudes from most of the women here is very stank. We get it. So I had just left canes 10 minutes prior got a tender from there. I have been to Canes way more times than I've been to Dave's. Got to my hotel and left to grab Dave's nuggets. Went here because we were in the area at Sam's club and had to stop here to try their chicken. I loved that the drive thru lady asked if this was my first time there. It made it so she could give me some time and also suggest their popular menu items. I really appreciated that. My husband and I just wanted a chicken sandwich so we got their number 2: 2 sliders and fries. She recommended the medium level but we wanted it kind of spicy, so we went with hot. It was the perfect level! I was surprised the combos don't come with a drink, but we didn't want one anyway. It came with pickles on the side and the fries were seasoned and delicious! Dave's Hot Chicken was created by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan. Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller's (French Laundry) organization set out to create the perfect Hot Chicken by searching, tasting, and frying. The four friends scrounged up $900 to put a tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The menu was simple, and chicken was the star. And what chicken it is! Sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender imaginable with each piece topped with Dave's own mix of spices ranging from "Mild" to "The Reaper". Arman created Instagram buzz and the lines began to grow. Two nights later, Eater/LA showed up to see what the fuss was about. The next morning's headline read "East Hollywood's Late Night Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind". Almost instantly, the lines stretched around the block. A year later, the boys had the money to open a shop in a hip strip-mall with de_cor by local street artists, where the crowds continued to grow with wait-times of an hour and more. From there, the incredibly craveable "Hot and Spicy" varieties have created a cult following with rave reviews across the U.S. and Canada.

History

Established in 2017.

In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept -- take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw -- they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. After 6 months of running the pop-up with long lines, the team took the plunge and opened their first physical store in January 2018 in a sleepy strip center in East Hollywood. Demand for their crave-able hot chicken exceeded all expectations and sales have grown every month since opening with consistently long lines throughout the day.

I talk to the cashier and he said he could not help me because i order from popeyes app. I need to contact the customer service. I tried and still negative. I ask for the manager, "Konova. "She said 'i can not refund your money from 4 days ago! I ask this person how about i get my food instead of my money back. What she said is really make me upset and disappointed! i get bad reply. " no you can't get your food! I would not give you the food! " Oh come on... i buy your food , not begging for free items. I know it's not that much money 68.94$ but it still money. When I found out the Ontario Mills location was still open, my family and I were excited to go. We even planned to order a large amount so we'd have leftovers to enjoy the next day. Unfortunately, the food was nothing like what I've consistently received from Hooters over the years. The wings didn't meet the standard I've always associated with the brand, and finding feathers still attached to the chicken made the meal unappetizing. It was not only jaw dropping to look at but it had so much flavor - it was just all around perfection. The combo is around $16 including taxes. Which trust me is a good price considering it could probably feed two people. I didn't get a chance to dine in since I was at work. I ordered it and it arrived nice and warm and just looked amazing! The place was clean, spotless actually, team members were friendly and my order was ready. I ordered a single extra hot slider and requested additional sauce and honey. They used to have this great honey in nice looking packaging that didn't look cheap. Tonight I was handed some generic honey packets that I would expect to get from the lunch truck at a construction site. Sandwich was ok, the chicken looked like it had been sitting out for a while and the spice level was too low for extra hot. I usually get the reaper but wanted something a little milder tonight but this tasted like it had barely any spice at all. I have been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken for a couple of years, now there's one in our area. staff was super friendly, dining room was very clean and fun. I ordered 2 chicken tenders with fries and the level of spicy that I chose was medium. The chicken was juicy inside and crunchy on the outside and the flavor and chosen heat level were perfection. The server there was very polite and friendly towards us and provided welcoming services. We got our food and ate outside and let me say the first bite I took in that slider was the best! The meat of the chicken was so moist and juicy and crispy on the outside! It was the best hot chicken sandwich I had ever ate. Yes, even better than popeyes! Honestly not sure why Dave's Hot Chicken has a 3.8 rating. Our experience was great from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, each employee introduced themselves by name and let us know to not hesitate if we needed anything -- that alone stood out. Service was fast, friendly, and organized. The staff was attentive without being pushy, and you could tell they actually care about the customer experience. The food was just as good as the service. Chicken was fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, and the heat level was exactly what we asked for. Everything came out hot and well put together. Great service + great food = an easy 5 stars. I wanted to give a huge shout out to Dave's hot chicken in Ontario It was my first experience @ Dave's And it was an awesome one! From the moment I drove up to the speaker until I left the window with my food, it was by far the best fast food drive through experience I have have in my entire 66 years on this earth. The man that took my order was super patient and explained everything to me and happily answered all of my questions. He was at the window as well and greeted me with a smile, he cashed me out the the lady that gave me my food was also very nice and friendly. I will definitely do there again! I finally tried Dave's Hot Chicken, and wow -- totally lived up to the hype. The chicken was insanely juicy with a perfect crunch, and the seasoning was on point. Amazing food! Always consistent, spicy, juicy, and delicious. This specific Dave's is extremely quick when ordering in store because they have a drive thru. I've had many different hot chicken places and I would say Dave's deserves the "Best Overall" award. If this is your first time here and you like spice and flavor, I would recommend a medium. Go above or below that depending on your spice tolerance. For one person, I would recommend getting a slider and fries. If you wanted some extra food, go for the slider, tender and fries combo. Treated my boyfriend on his lunch break today and I'm glad we stopped by! We were greeted at the door by Breanna who welcomed us in. She made our experience very pleasant and was so sweet! The food was HOT, fresh and very juicy. I ordered a side of their kale coleslaw it was cold and crunchy and sided perfect with the hot chicken. The fries were nice and crispy too. I loved the chickens aroma of spices and how perfectly it was cooked.
