First time trying Dave's and was a complete disappointment. It's on Thursday around 9:30pm. There were like 2 tables with customers so it's not busy. We only coming in to get the milk shake. We went to the machine and decided to order from there. We ordered regular Oreo milk shake and a regular m&m milk shake. The bad part is we were waiting around 10-15 mins for just 2 of the drinks. The cashier seems to be talking to his friend who was the customer at the counter. We wouldn't mind but it seems like it's taking too long for just 2 drinks. So I came up to the counter and ask for the order. The cashier seems surprised and asked what was the order. I said i ordered it from the machine. That's when i know he didn't pay attention for the order on the screen. He apologized, which is fine. And he quickly made the order. The lady who looks like the manager also came in and gave us coupons for free slides (which later we found out it has already expired) Upon arriving home. We opened the lid and found out that they didn't filled the drinks all the way. And my boyfriend said his m&m was super packed that he only got a little bit of the drink. Overall we were disappointed. We paid around $18 and didn't get amount we paid for. He reported that he lost his job at Dave's Hot Chicken. He didn't have a place to stay, and had to resort to sleeping at Dave's Hot chicken just a few nights. So what did management do? Did they help their employee out? Help him get on his feet and find housing? No, they fired him. Is this how Dave would want you to treat the good people who cook their chicken?? What all because a few nights he had to sleep next to the chicken fryer?? Do you think he really liked that?? Do you think he had a choice?? No one is proud of that. Well guess what, we haven't been able to locate Keith. We hope he is alive. Seems like you aren't that concerned. The person that took my order (I believe their name was Brendan) was so kind, it was very clean inside, and the food was awesome. The star of the show was definitely the not chicken cauliflower bites. They were HUGE. I got medium spice and they were so delicious. Drinks should be included in the cost of the combo meals, paying $3.49 for a regular size drink is asking a lot, even if there are complimentary refills. Very simple concept. Chicken tenders. Either with or without a top bun. The usage of pickles and honey is great. Daves sauce is delicious. They let you substitute Mac and cheese at no extra cost. The shakes are delicious. The service is always quick and when you order on the app food is always kept warm for pickup. Ambiance is very unique to the area.
