While I was waiting in line, a woman walked slowly over to the grill and opened the plastic bags with the uncooked chicken. She started cooking it. Meanwhile, all the other containers with the cooked meat were empty. Usually someone comes over and re-stocks. Nope. The meat had to be cooked still. This was at 12:35 PM. Lunch rush. I wanted steak for my burrito, but no. The steak also needed to be cooked. There is clearly not a manager on staff who is managing everything. All of the containers for the food and the Salsa and all of the different things they put on the burrito burritos looked like they hadn't been washed in at least a week. The place was filthy. We've been to a lot of the restaurants in Northampton and decided to jump over to Amherst to try a new to me restaurant. This was a cold and damp afternoon, only a day after a snow storm. Mom was excited to order her Tofu Bahn Mi, but I was really looking forward to a big bowl of hot Chicken Pho and a Summer Roll. Our friend tried the Rice Bowl with Steak and Shrimp and a Bao Bun which was delicious. My mom loved her sandwich. The bread alone was enough to make me decide that I must try one next time. My Pho broth was well flavored. The chicken pieces were slightly smaller than what I'm used to from other places, but there was plenty to enjoy. There was an adequate amount of noodles, basil, sprouts and jalapeños. My Summer Roll, while quite enjoyable, was a little difficult to eat. I'm used to having my roll cut in half and this was served whole. The wrapper started to fall apart at one point, but I made sure that I didn't lose anything. Our friend's bowl was good and filling and we were told that the bun was delicious,

Normally I would suggest a Cubano sandwich but they were out chick'n and waffles is great too. But today the burger really hit the spot. I had my choice of fresh greens or roasted potatoes which was a no-brainer. These potatoes are the best. I ordered a second order for my Mom to take home. She loves them. Imagine biting into a firm roasted potato skin with a velvety buttery mashed potato inside. Yeah, it's that kind of good! Today was a bonus, I accumulated enough points for a free small pizza of my choice! Heck yeah, that heats up nicely back home for lunches at work during the week.
