Just passing thru and decided on the Chicken cutlet BLT. Scale from 1-10 I would say a 5.

There wasn't much about this place online and couldn't find many reviews. I really didn't know what to expect but took the leap and ordered some wings and curly fries. OMG! Wow. I was really blown away by how delicious these wings were. We ordered the smoked wings and they were falling off the bone. So tender! They had the most delicious smokey flavor, which is something I haven't been able to find in the area. I ordered 8 wings in a mango habanero sauce, which came with curly fries. The sauce was sweet and spicy. Really, really good! I couldn't believe how tasty the wings were. I didn't have high expectations at all, to be honest. But I was blown away. I haven't had the traditional or boneless wings but I can say that the smoked wings are incredible! The prices are also very reasonable. The flavors are delicious and I hope to visit again soon!

Here's a Father's Day review:…read more They were kind enough to seat us, but they have really odd hours, especially for Father's Day -- arguably the BIGGEST day of the year for BBQ. We arrived at 3:50 p.m., and they told us that they were closing in 10 minutes. Yikes. A family that arrived after us was turned away. I could see the deep disappointment in their eyes. I can only guess that BEAST doesn't want the business. Again, this was during the afternoon on one of the busiest BBQ days of the year. I.E. This wasn't some slow, late, and empty night. It was a sunny afternoon, and Fishkill's Main Street was hopping and vibrant. The staff did allow us to eat our meal, though, and didn't kick us out, but they were itching to close up shop. I guess they all have better things to be doing. (?) The food was, well, "okay" but overly pricey. The smoked wings are good here. I'll give them that. I would only get those if I ever came again (though the blue cheese dressing was weak). The other food (brisket, sausage, and mac n' cheese) was not poor, but it was also not memorable. Maybe a "C" grade all around? It's a neat spot for drinks (good spirits selection) and wings if you're in the neighborhood and they're open. But double-check their hours before heading out.

After eating there, I can confidently say Doug, your pub makes pretty good food. Our party of four was seated at a high-top, and the feasting began. They've got a great beer selection and took care of us right away. Food-wise, we started with the chicken wings, which were huge and packed with flavor. For me, the main event was the original patty melt. You know when something tastes homemade, but in the absolute best way possible? That was this burger. It was hot, juicy, and dripping with flavor, with perfectly caramelized onions and melted cheese. What really made it work was the bread, it still had a crunch instead of turning soggy. Every dip into the Thousand Island just made it better. The onion rings were a perfect sidekick. Around the table, my brother-in-law went with the Nutty Hog and enjoyed it, my sister liked her quesadilla, and my wife was happy with her chicken. No complaints anywhere. You know how I feel about local spots, and this place was full of charm and character. The drinks were cold, the food was solid, and I'll absolutely be back. 5/5 stars

Imagine our surprise that our intended eatery was closed (not that their website stated it) and our second choice was closing for the night (at 8 pm on a Saturday night!) Hugely disappointed, we stopped at the only place along our home area of Route 52 that had lights on. Not only were they opened, but enthusiastically greeted us and promptly brought over menus. The high top tables were excellent for our family member with the cane and the other (me) with a broken leg. The place was decorated for the season, and combined with the colorful Mexican decor was especially festive. We are all a little picky about our drinks, but the bartender happily filled our requests without hesitation. An excellent espresso martini was enjoyed, actually two, by me, and my family loved their drinks as well. We settled on the sampler platter which our waitress assured us would be plenty. She could have easily pressured us to order more, but was honest, professional, polite and friendly. We also enjoyed the chips and salsa. Highly recommend you stopping in, whether it's family dinner or casual date night. PS: it's a a fun family joke that I HATE when servers use the term "No problem". I mean; why WOULD asking for a glass of water be a problem? Our fabulous server frequently acknowledged our requests without hesitation and a cheerful "Of Course!" It left me giddy
