Traveled from Missouri (thru a tornado!) to pick up our RV. The man who was to show us how to operate everything "had never seen one of these before", and pointed a couple things out and told us to learn about everything in the owners manual. He could not answer our many questions. Such disappointing customer service! On the way home, things were shaking loose, falling off- just crazy! AND- the A/C does not work- blows but does not cool. Our insurance contacted Dave Arbogast whom couldn't get the RV in until Oct. 17th at which time I was told it would be early December before they would have it done Needless to say it's January 12th, 2016, some four months to the day and still no RV. I used to take my 2007 Class A motor home to Arbogast for repairs for many years. This past year I have been told they don't work on motor homes over 10 years. They agreed to look at my motor home. They said they could not find parts for my Winnebago and said they looked everywhere - including other dealers and Winnebago. I contacted Winnebago Parts and they had the parts in stock!! The service and attitude have been going steadily going down hill for the past couple years. I will never return and I strongly urge others to avoid this place like the plague. I recently received a letter from GM about a recall on my Chevy. I was told to take my motor home to Arbogast for the recall work. After arriving , with an appointment, I was told to take it to the RV section, they told me to take it back to the Chevy area. After three tries the service manager told the person " helping" me that they couldn't do the work. I was very angry and left. On the way home I drove by Smedley's and stopped to see if I could set up an appointment. Their service writer told me that they sent most of the RV work to Arbogast. He then checked the recall and found it was a reprogram. They took it back and 15 minutes later I was on my way home. I will never deal with a company like Arbogast, that won't even take the time to see what the recall is or was about. read more

We bought a 38 ft RV trailer from Arbogast in April. We have had numerous issues with it since that time, all covered through the warranty.However, the customer service from Arbogast has been atrotious! We have had to take it back there several times for service, only to either not have the work completed or not done correctly! One of the times they kept our trailer for over a month! To call and leave a message in their service department is a joke. They don't call back! Over and over again this has happened!! Reading other reviews, I see we are not the only ones! My wife and I were interested in buying an Airstream Basecamp X. She had been in contact with them through email and had received an online quote. A salesman named Isaac Combs called our home and set up an appointment for 12 o'clock noon today (11-2-2019). We drove 152 miles (2 hrs 45 min) and arrived at Arbogast RV at 11:58 and asked to see Isaac Combs. Isaac finally came out to talk to us at 12:25. He told us that he was busy with another customer but that he would unlock the camper for us. He did unlock the camper, told us he would return, and went inside to his other customer. So there we are, freezing our tails off in the 40 degree, trying to sale ourselves a camper! Seriously! Weren't there any other salespeople that he could have sent out to help us? After about 10 minutes of showing ourselves the camper I am furious. I went to the van ready to leave while my wife went inside to speak to anyone who would listen about our experience. My wife finally came out after around 20 minutes to tell me that she had spoken to management and that another salesman had been assigned to us and I should give them a second chance. She's like that - she's a nice person. Against my better judgement and knowing that I sleep next to the woman I decided to try again. So a very inexperienced salesman tried his best to show us the camper and answer our questions. The poor guy wasn't even able to turn tables into the bed! Missing parts? I don't know. All that and then the general manager met with us to give us his "very best price." Direct quote - very best price! It's only $102 less the the email quote they sent my wife! Seriously! Their "very best price" on a $40,000 camper is only $102 less than, what I have to assume, is their everyday price?! I left and I won't be back ! Do yourselves a favor and don't even bother. This review pertains to pre-owned RV's only. Check the Ohio State Attorney website before buying from these deceptive, misrepresenting people. There are numerous complaints regarding misrepresentation. The RV for sale on their website, along with the pictures for said RV, were not of the actual RV. The RV in question had a cracked dash plus black mold and rotted floor behind the passengers seat. The pictures on their site do not show those issues, but do show a perfectly proper dash and no black mold or rotted floor. But here is where they messed up. The picture posted shows a brown recliner where the dinette should be. The RV itself has the dinette, but strangely without seatbelts. More than a month has gone by since I wasted 10hrs of drive time to see the RV, and I did point out all of the issues to both the sales guy and sales manager and service manager. The RV is still on the lot, and they still claim no issues with the RV, and the fake pictures are still up. Avoid this place. read more

Had multiple problems, had to take it back several times, and each time, spend hours and hours waiting for service. On the road, you're stuck. All Mercedes Airstreams have to be serviced at an authorized Sprinter dealer, not just any Mercedes dealer, so you're REAL limited to where you can take it. Oh boy! Where to start? First, KUDOS to our salesman, Stacy Trissel. He did a great job working with us and knowing which campers met our needs! Very prompt and professional. STRIKE 1 We went to pick up our new camper on a Saturday afternoon. We had our appointment scheduled for noon. When we arrived, we had our walk-thru with one of their specialists. We weren't impressed! He didn't know quite a few things about our camper and how to place furniture... when we pull the slides in. My husband had to figure it out and show him! STRIKE 2 We had to wait over an hour to meet with them financial manager to sign our loan papers. Why, if we had an appointment, weren't they prepared to meet with us at that time? We live over 3 hours away from Arbogast and did not need to add an extra hour onto our long day. STRIKE 3 NOW for the real issueS! When we went to hook up the camper, the technicians were about useless! They were suppose to help us since this was a different hitch... Instead, they had to go find our hitch pieces that they lost when they were switching out our old one for a new one! STRIKE 4 Although I said our salesman was great, we were disappointed in the lack of attention he gave us on this day. He was busy with another couple and getting their camper hooked up ... So, Stacy, if you read this, you may want to make sure you give all of your customers your time and attention. Not even a handshake good bye and thank you! STRIKE 5 We finally get on the road home. Smooth sailing! We stopped about halfway home to grab some take-out. As I was inside the restaurant picking up our food, my husband was walking our dog and saw something we had not noticed when the slides were out. (Every time we saw our camper, the slides were out until right before we hooked up and left. ) What he saw was a LITTLE dent on the bottom panel of the camper right next to the back slide. When he looked under the camper, there was a HUGE dent/smashed in panel! Of course I took pictures and called Stacy, our salesman, and left a voicemail. Do you think anyone called me back first thing Monday morning? NO! When I called Stacy, he said the service manager; Mark Liebert, was in a meeting this morning and should be calling me anytime. Finally after playing phone tag and I finally got to talk to the service manager. It seemed great at first. Arbogast was going to take care of all of the problems. He even mentioned that he would try to have another dealer that is in the same county as we are do the repairs so that we wouldn't have to travel back 3 hours. They asked that I send them pics and we would talk again the following day. Happy campers as of this conversation!!! The next day when I spoke to Mark Liebert, Service Manager at Arbogast, that is when everything changed. Basically, now he didn't believe this was done on their lot, I had NO pictures of the dented camper on their lot thus WE must have done it. We knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that we did NOT in ANY way damage the camper on the way to where we stopped (half way home). Arbogast/Liebert said I needed to show them a pic of this damage on their lot. He said they had 7 different employees work on checking in, detailing, walking through... and NONE of them saw this damage! Let me say, the damage that was done could NOT have been done while being towed by a truck. The damage was obvious that it happened from the side when something was brought in under that area and then dropped some how on a tire (tire marks on damaged part). If this damage was done while being towed, it would have ripped the back jack off. Arbogast/Liebert even thought the same thing, he was surprised that there was no damage to the back jack, but still unwilling to accept that is happened there. Okay, to get to the chase... FINALLY we found a picture of our camper, on their lot, with the damage evident! (funny thing is we found the picture on THEIR website! ) I sent the picture to Arbogast/Leibert and low and behold I received the following message: "You are absolutely correct; it clearly shows in the photo that the dent was evident while on our lot before you purchased it! I apologize that so many of us did not see it and have it repaired prior to the sale. You will be happy with our repairs. Thank you for the photos! Mark" Hmmmm what happened to the offer to have a local RV dealer make the repairs so that we aren't inconvenienced, driving it back down (3 hours), driving home, driving back down to pick it up and driving it back home? A total of 12 hours plus gas when getting approximately 8 mpg. I guess we shouldn't have bought a camper so far from home... but we SHOULDN'T have had to get repairs done to a brand new $40,000 + camper! In our opinion, Arbogast only is good to you until the papers are signed. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE EVEN CONSIDER THEM FOR PURCHASING A NEW CAMPER! NEVER! read more

Just bought a new vehicle from Arbogast. I have to preface this that I hate car shopping and have been shopping for about a month. The Arbogast salesman, Steve Crank, made the whole experience painless. I arrived at 6:00 PM an hour before closing. After a short test drive they processed the paperwork and we were done by 7:00 PM. I had a 9 year old trade with 182,000 miles on it and it had a plethora of issues. They were very fair on my trade value. At no point was I pressured for anything. I was forced to $600 to have the tire sensors inspected and repaired because they were not installed correctly on the camper they sold and then I was told they only have a 30 day warranty on repairs. I cannot express my hatred for this company enough. Bought a new Coachman from them in 2014. Not a bad experience. Brought it back to get satellite put in. Specifically wrote down which TVs. Of course they installed it on wrong ones. Furthermore the install was very half-assed with cables laying everywhere. Called general manager and had a conference call with service manager and it was finally fixed. I should mention I'm driving 1.5 hrs each way every time I have to get work done or have to come back because they screwed up. Brought it back for service and to real deal the shower. Got it back, went on trip and of course it leaked. Actually worse than before. So I just fixed it myself. Recently the generator through a rod and the AC shelled out (yes this is a 2015 RV). I spent quite a bit of money of the extended warranty to find out I was lied to at the time of sale and that the warranty didn't cover nearly what was told to me. $750 later and I finally had the RV back a month or so later. Get in RV to go on two week trip and the generator won't run longer than 15 min. Yes I checked it on site before I left but not 15 min long. Apparently they don't check anything. They also did not due a bunch of interior trim work I asked for but when I picked it up I it pissed me off so much there was know way I was leaving it and driving back. They actually had to mail me a part so I could finish the job myself. UPDATE: generator would not run without a load. Brought to Cummins dealer. Found governor rod was installed wrong. Not I owe that group $1000 for labor and troubleshooting. Called Arbogast and they won't pay saying I should have brought it back to them to troubleshoot. Like that would make any sense and they wouldn't cover their own asses and blame something else. Even corporate Oman said it's not warranty since its workmanship. Now we will be going to court. Here's the short version. These people don't understand the service business model. They either are too stupid or just don't care to actually fix anything. I worked as a motorcycle mechanic for years and it baffles me that this company is still in business. If anyone here wants to contest this review please do, I have everything documented. It's so bad I'm actually going to sell this RV and buy one closer to the house just to get away from Arbogast. read more

Better late than never suits this review. Dealer has a large selection of RV's and Campers at a great price I'll give them that. Purchased a new 5th wheel and when going to sign paperwork noticed they wrote up the paperwork for a previous model. So after signing my life away had to throw that all in trash and start over. Left camper for a month in storage there only to show up , load my belongings in it and notice the wrong unit was pulled from stock cleaned and set up. The service department was notified and those guys had my camper pulled from the lot cleaned and road ready in a little over an hour. Even after installing a 5th wheel plate in my truck. Kudos to those gentlemen who clearly went over and above that day. If it wasn't for them this place would have gotten possibly a single star. read more

If price is your only concern, this is the dealer for you. They would call 2 or 3 times a day while I was looking. As soon as you write the check, the friendship goes away. Service has a bunch of rude, sarcastic people. If it worked during the walk through, it's your problem now! Within 30 days I have had 3 seperate issues with the same response; "we will get to it when we get to it", "it worked when it was here". What a horrific customer experience. I was told from friends 3 years ago to stay away from this dealership. I kick myself for not listening. I bought a 2015 A class Coachman. 3 years and 10,000 miles the power bunk motor went bad. Used once. 3 years and 10,000 miles, the 2 auxiliary battery's were dead. No warranty, not even considered, so 998.00 later, I pick up after 3 weeks in the shop. NO one ever called, I had to keep calling to get updates. I get the unit home, the power bunk module is hanging with wires out. Never reinstalled. White crap all over the battery compartment, and the power bunk header board was hanging down. Called, "oh sorry, bring it back in and we will fix" Not / No compensation offered to offset an 80 mile round trip, 1/2 a day lost, and 25.00 in fuel. Worst experience buying my 1st RV. Stacey...waited months for parts to install on RV that was listed as 50 amp. Solar panel, rear camera, hardwired surge & inverter were to be installed BEFORE walk through...NOTHING WAS INSTALLED!!! Drove 8.5 hrs when he said all was done...then upon arrival he (Stacey Trissel) tells me that "he" never told me that it was a "50" amp unit! The purchasing experience was great. However, the customer service before delivery and since then has been HORRENDOUS. Our 5th wheel was to be delivered on September 6th. Numerous family members took off work to prepare for delivery on September 6th. Arbogast uses an outside company (Pinnacle) to make deliveries. Long story short, our camper went missing for 8 HOURS somewhere between Ohio and Indiana. It is a 3 hour trip from Arbogast to my residence in Indiana. We had no way of getting in touch with anyone to locate where the camper may be. We even tried reaching out thru Facebook. The camper FINALLY arrived at 11:55 pm on September 6th after some of my family literally had to chase the delivery guy down and force him to stop. When the delivery driver was asked where he had been with our camper he produced numerous lies and kept tripping over all of his untruths. The 23 minutes of questioning were recorded and sent to Arbogast for their review........we were told numerous times by Arbogast that they were looking into and that they would take care of us. The delivery driver disappeared for 8 hours with our camper, entered it and put his personal clothes in the camper. WOW JUST WOW!!!! After numerous phone calls and emails to gain clarification and answers, there has been no development. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the customer care and service received from Gary and Stacy. They have not stuck to their word and haven't even provided any customer service. Gary and Stacy both said they would take care of us. So, gentleman, we are still waiting. 4 WEEKS later and still no answers. Is this really how you take care of customers? Very sad. read more

Was looking for a Camper Van for a long time, we applied and tried here in California and Phoenix, No luck getting a loan, since the Mercedes Sprinter Class B Camper is limited stock in California, and having a hard time getting financed, loosing hope, I looked and search online and found the Model we want, problem was it was too far, send my offer thru their contact us feature, next morning I got email from a guy named "Mark Bensman", from after few phonecalls and emails, we got the Camper, Mark and Preston answered and reply on-time, this was my first time buying Vehicle out-of-state, I don't know what to expect, Mark Pick me up from Airport (DAYTON) when I pickup the Camper, it was freezing cold that day, i was surprised when i saw the Camper, it looks better in person, cleaned,charged and ready to go, i was so excited and almost never pay attention when Brandon explaining everything, but since i have camper before, i think i didn't missed anything, after few minutes i'm on the road, delighted and happy, Mark offered me to stay in the lot as long as i want, ("it has full hook-up" like a camp site) but i want to go home to my family right away, otherwise if not the snow forecast that night i might stay and explore OHIO, hopefully next time with my family, Thank you Mark Bensman for the help and to Dave Arbogast RV, easy to deal, no hassle deal PS: The Winnebago ERA made it in California Saturday February 14th @1 AM, it was fun to drive, will send pictures with my family soon.. thanks again read more

will not purchase another rv from dave arbogast. looked long and hard for a class c and dave had one spent all day test driving checking out ect. come to find out it was promised to another associate had to wait a few days to see what they were going to do , buy it or not that is. so we get the call it is our if we were still interested. we have owned sever pull behinds but never a class c. husband is older so pulling one it just too much for him. anyways, they had it in service supossedly checking it all over. when they did the walk through on it the service could not answer any of our questions said i had to ask our sales person , that also was a waste of time.he also really couldnt answer us. when we got it home found out the windshild wiper solution was not hooked up hoses hanging down so have no way of spraying fluid to clean window. said we had all the manuals needed for the motorhome in this nice leather brief case, like dummmies we didnt look to see what was in the briefcase,. so now we are needing to weatherize the camper and havent a clue who what or where and again called daves and they were rude and short telling me they couldnt help me unless i drove 2 hrs back over to them and they would do it for me for a fee...i am not driving 2 hr for them to do this why coudnt they have showed us everything we needed to know when we asked at purchase ... we normally use rv wholesalers and they go through everything 100 percent explained showed us everything...if they would of a class c we were wanting we would of went back to them...daves has no clue what they are doing, what they sale or how anything works...dont take the time and dont care to take the time to make sure you understand anything , because they truthfully dont know them self...they are there to sell and collect the money . we were just and money bank to them once sold and papers signed it all on us . never again... i do not and will never recomend dave arbogast to anyone...buyers beware check it out 100 percent and make sure you know what you dealing with before you buy and make sure everything is working 100 percent before you leave the lot because if not your screwed read more

Service is NOT something you should take your RV here for. WE got the warranty which was basically $1500 down the drain. WE have taken a BRAND NEW camper in at least 6 times for repairs and have had to take the camper BACK in for the same repairs multiple times. I wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing my Sandpiper 379FLOK from this dealer! I highly recommend to go elsewhere like a couple others have suggested!! Customer service was obsolete and they were very unprofessional when it came to returning emails! They promised to include a couple things because they missed 2 delivery dates and did not include them upon inspection. Upon closing up a slide parts of my RV were broken leading to more damage when it arrived! So now I have to find a local dealer to fix my issues. Being an out of state buyer, it was a real great experience, easy to work with didn't feel pressured in buying anything right away. We were able to make a deal and start the paperwork via phone. Once arrived to pick up our bullet 272bhs trailer once again the customer service was great (Brad our online sales rep and Preston the finance rep). We were in and out in under 2 hours with the financing and trailer demonstration. July 1, 2017 ,Went to Dave Arbogast today, was very pleased with the customer service that we received from Brad! He took us around all the campers that my truck could pull, and also explained the differences between all of them. In the end, we ended up purchasing a New Heritage Glen travel trailer. July 3, 2017, Matt from the financing dept. called today and said that our credit was good and we are set to go. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions and concerns. Matt in financing was awsome also. He made sure we seen and understood everything, and there was nothing left hidden! There was one other gentleman (did not get his name) who put our hitch on for us. Five stars for sales. Mark Bensman is easy to deal with and the transaction was exactly what I anticipated from our conversation. Mark them down just a bit for finance. We did not finance and the only way they would release the vehicle was with a wire transfer. Did it, but it was complicated. Mark them down more for the Service department. I did not expect the guy giving the walk through to know much, and that expectation was met. The big issue was that I wanted to put it up on ramps to take a look to see if something was installed (they told me that it didn't exist) and they refused. It was installed, of course. We have bought several vehicles ranging from RV's to Boats and a jet ski from Arbogast. Each time their sales representatives were exceptional in going over the vehicle and explaining everything about it. We bought our most recent RV from them at a great price, but with the knowledge that it was bought "as - is". We assume there are things to do to it that we accepted the responsibility for. Often customer's want the discount, but not the responsibility! We are not one of those buyers! We ordered a new hitch before picking up our fifth wheel and they went over and beyond to get it expedited so we could have it in time. We got just what we wanted for the price we wanted. Delivery to Texas was set up and although it took a few weeks due to Christmas Holidays we got our Conversion Van. But with free delivery i really cannot complain.If you are asking for great Customer Service and great Quality Vehicles i can only recommend this Dealership. Finance was quick and very responsive to questions and advise. TJ was very descriptive and open to any questions asked and there was no pressure to buy.
