AWFUL. My equally awful warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) assigned Daugherty to me 8 WEEKS ago for a bathroom sink leak and to replace 3 bathroom sink drain stoppers. I am STILL trying to get them to come out and fix this leak that is probably as simple as needing a rubber washer replaced. Because this leak got noted on an inspection when I was selling I have to have a licensed plumber. I've expressed this 4 or 5 different times. Daugherty plumbing either just DOES NOT call me or they call and ask if I can be home in an hour in the middle of a work week which is not feasible at the last minute. They cannot seem to book and appointment in advance and commit to it. I have something tentatively schedule for after 3:30PM today and have been waiting on a confirmation call all day, which I have yet to receive. I've called them twice today and no one picks up AND their inbox is full. This does not seem like a legit business. Bigots and racists! Not safe, Unprepared, unprofessional, rude. If i were able to score a 0 i would! He is working on behalf of choice warranty.His window was 11 to 3. He calls at 237p and says "are yall even home?" I was put off bc most techs touch base a minimum of 15ish minutes before. He says "im down the street". I let him know we are home. He arrives in a bad mood with no mask. We ask for him to put one on and some gloves. He says he doesn't have any. We offer him fresh out of the box never used masks and he refuses. We are confused. Why would he turn down the items that he can clearing see are new. He says since we didnt want him to come in as is. He will transfer the job. He didnt want the job in the first place and was rude at the very first interaction. I believe he lied about having the equipment bc he didn't want to serve our kind. What plumbing company that enters 100s of homes daily not have ppe? And when offered new ones...still refuses! read more

This company was assigned to us by our home warranty company. They "accepted" the job on Wednesday, last week, I talked to them on Thursday and they said they would come out on Friday between 4-6. I tried to call them on Friday morning to confirm their arrival time but there was no answer, so I left a message. They did not show up for the appt., didn't return my call. They left me stranded all weekend without help for my plumbing problem...why accept a job if have no intention of showing up or answering the phone!!! BEWARE read more

Horrible. They did not come when they said they would. Did not fix the problem, had to come three times. Receptionist is surly, stopped taking calls, would not return message. Said they would come on Monday, did not show until Friday...ruined my whole week by leading me on day by day. Their "company" consists of 1 plumber, 1 tech, 1 nasty phone girl. I was stuck with these losers through my home warranty. The guy told me one thing (sewer broken in one place and tree root in another) and the warranty company something different (no tree root and broken and collapsed in 3 places). I was polite to these creeps and didn't deserve their crap. Finally, I asked the last guy how they could do major work like this if they couldn't even manage to come out here in a timely manner to clear the drain and look at the problem. He got huffy and said if I didn't like their service I should call another plumber. Then they told the warranty people I wanted someone different and lied to them. Now, this invalidates their diagnosis and they have to send out someone new with a camera and I have to wait even longer. The surly receptionist lied and said I only wanted a master plumber...I never said that. Call someone else who might actually be competent, truthful and reliable. These are horrible, horrible people. They don't know how to treat customers. I called a different plumber who disagreed with what they said about the tree root. Daugherty said the sewer would have to be dug up and replaced. This plumber said the root might be able to be ground out...after all, there is a company called roto-rooter. read more

What follows is a formal complaint to the BBB about an open dispute with this company. I am willing to update this review in the event Daugherty Plumbing formally responds, and the dispute is resolved. Complaint: In response to a home warrantee service request for replacement of a 3 handle shower stem, Daugherty Plumbing (DP) was dispatched to assist. The repair work done on 6/9/16 was unprofessional and unacceptable. The total time to fix was 5 hours, for work that should take no longer than 1 hour; a major inconvenience which forced me to take time off work due to the delay. The technicians had to leave and come back to the residence multiple times since incorrect parts to fix were obtained. Worse is the fact that the technicians broke two squares of tile and left the damaged area completely unsealed. I pointed the damage out to the technician, and was told that "this sometimes happens." I was unable to use the shower afterwards due to risk of water damage to the wall. No professional would leave their final work in such a sloppy state. Displeased with the repair result, I contacted both my home warantee company and DP to complain the repair work was unacceptable. I contacted DP by phone 3 separate times between 6/9/16 and 6/16/16 for resolution. On only one occasion did I speak with an individual who said he would "lookup my work order and get back to me." I never received a return call, leading me to believe the individual was just trying to get me off the phone and ignore the problem. At my request, the home warantee company also sent a formal damage letter asking for a response, and to begin an insurance claim process. This letter dated 6/10/16 was completely ignored; it has been well over 3 weeks since the complaint was filed. I still cannot use my shower to date (7/3/16). I believe I have done everything I could to arbitrate with DP, and allow them the opportunity to resolve the issue. At this point I am pursuing an independent contractor to repair the damage, and will have to pay additional cost out of pocket. I am extremely dissatisfied with DP, and I never again want to work with such an unprofessional company. Desired Resolution: Upon receipt of an invoice from the contractor, I will attempt to be reimbursed by DP's insurance company, but am not hopeful, since previous communications have failed. I want an insurance claim reimbursement for charges from 3rd party contractor to repair damage to tile. Work to be completed on 7/6/16. Expectation is for Daugherty Plumbing to contact me with instructions on how to file an official claim with their insurance company, and for the claim to be paid out. read more

After reading the reviews I was a little fortified to find out that my home warranty company assigned them to us. They were very quick to come out and diagnose the problem and collect their money. They promptly told me that they had to go buy some a new pipe and would get back to me regarding when they would be back to fix the pipe. I specifically asked them to come back the following day or at the very latest the day after that as this was a leaky faucet issue in our kitchen and needed prompt service. It shouldn't be that difficult to schedule a time to repair considering they came out to diagnose within 24 hours. Apparently after they collect your money you drop to the back of the line. The guy would not commit a day or time and said that someone would get back to me. The other thing is that their were two guys that came but one stayed in the car the entire time and the gentleman in my house had to keep going out to the truck to pass everything through this guy who never even looked at anything. I never heard back and continued to call everyday several times a day and either was told they would get back to me or I was forced to leave a message on an answering machine. Needless to say they NEVER got back with us. We contacted the warranty company and told them what happened. The warranty company is reimbursing us part of the money but we have to file a formal complaint. In the meantime how many other checks have they collected for work they have no intention of fixing? They are a scam!! Beware. read more
