I have work done by this company October 2024 I had to go to the board of plumbing examiner to file a complaint they did lousy work they did not supervise their workers I complain about the work perform he would not correct anything so I took it to the board and the investigation has produced evidence of a violation of Chapter 1301 of the Texas Occupations Code. I called to have a pvc water pipe fixed which was a small job. I was told about $99 service fee. I understand how a service fee works. My issue is that when employee came out they told me there was a 4 hr minimum. If I would have been told on phone about 4 hr minimum I would not have scheduled to have the employee come. I have Select Home Warranty and they requested Fix It to handle my broken toilet claim. I arranged for someone to take off work to be there in the 1-5 time frame fix it said they would arrive. 2 men arrived and pushed my broken door bell once, waited 10 seconds and walked back to their van and sat out there for 30 minutes. One guy returned tomplace a card on my door know, but didn't bother to knock before returning to his van and driving away. Even though the doorbell is broken-the ring sound is very low- I feel like they could have knocked on thw door upon first arriving, especially seeing a car n in my driveway which would likely indicate someone was home. Maybe in the bathroom for a few minutes? And they could have knocked again when placing the card on the door know but they didnt , the whole thing was recorded on my door camera. They didn't want the job. One hour afyer they left I noticed the text from Fix It saying I had 30 minutes to open the door or they would leave. I called the company and the manager refused to send anyone out because he said it wasn't justified even when I explained someone took off work to be there and the technician only hit the door bell button once and didn't bother knocking. They said the technician said he did knock and I offered to send the company the videos to prove he lied but they said they didnt want any videos. The company seems very unprofessional and obviously doesn't care about the customer. If you really want the job, you understand to try knocking because maybe someone is in the bathroom or hard of hearing. Bottom line is they dont seem to care about the customer, they seem unorganized and unprofessional. After reading the other reviews I feel like I actually dodged a bullet because if you are so lazy and dont possess enough common sense to knock on a door if you get no answer to one push on the doorbell then I really don't trust them to have enough knowledge or professionalism to fix my toilet issue.​ read more

This company is terrible. I have Select home warranty and they contract with Fix it services to do their work. It's been two months that I've tried to get my air conditioner fixed. They sent a service tech out and he determined that my outdoor unit needed a new blower motor, he left my house and returned with the motor. He installed it and it worked for about 7 hours. I called them the next day and advised them it stopped working. I advised their technician that the people that installed my air conditioner units, that they needed to order the blower from Amana to get the proper blower, He said owe they just say that because they want you to order from Amana and that he installed the exact motor that was on my unit. He came back out with another motor and installed that one. It worked for 7 hours and stopped. He advised me if it happened again that it's probably a board. I was able to go out and flip the breaker by the unit and it would start working again. This went on for a month, between Select home warranty and Fix it company they couldn't get it together on who's supposed to order the board. Upon making several phone calls to both offices trying to find out what was going on, Fix it called the warranty company and told me they said the part was on the way to my house but that I needed to call Select. Two days later Select informs me that there was no part ordered, that Fix it was supposed to order the board, they said they had emailed them authorization to order part and fix, on August 28. 2025. Mind you this is September 12, 2025. I started this claim July 5, 2025. Fix it finally ordered the board and said as soon as it came in, they would be out. I was questioning their service guy if he actually knew what he was doing because to me if a board is going out, they normally go out and stop working, but I was able to flip the outside breaker, and it would come on. Didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Then on September 12th, 2025, the unit would not come on at all. I called again to see if they received the board and I told them the air conditioner is no longer working. They said they would put a rush on the order and be out when it came in. I decided to call the company that installed my units and he came out on September 18, 2025. Well he found that the breaker transmitter box had burned up. The breaker box, and that they installed the wrong blower motor, they installed a single-phase motor, and it should have been a dual 2 speed blower motor. That is what caused the breaker box to burn up because it kept tripping the breaker when it was trying to kick into the second speed and it couldn't because it was a single speed motor. I had to pay $375.00 dollars to get that fixed. I called both companies and told them the situation and upon speaking to Fix It companies they advised me that Select home warranty was responsible for getting the correct blower motor and that they know longer had anything to do with my situation. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and ask to speak to a supervisor. Some women got on the phone, and I explained once again that they had put the wrong blower motor on, and it needed to be replaced with a 2-speed motor. They women was very rude and kept telling me that it's not their problem and I kept saying how can it not be your problem when your company ordered the motor, they are the professional that should know the proper motor to install but this lady kept telling me that it's not their problem and to call Select. and that their company did not want to do any more work for me and hung up on me. Between the Select warranty company and the jack leg companies they hire to do the work; I am not going to let this go. I am a business owner and if I treated any of my customers the way I've been treated, I would be out of business. I am going to put this on every social media platform available. This is not how you treat a paying consumer and I've just now getting started. Let me save anybody considering using this company to do work for them a big headache and get somebody else to do your work. Because they do not stand behind any warrantee and take know responsibility for their crappy work. I am through with people not doing their jobs. read more

We had a pipe situation a few years ago and received very good service from Fix It. This time we had a bigger problem and again Fix It came through. James was very polite and knowledgeable. He let us know someone had an emergency and he would be a little later than expected. He fixed the main problem and some that would cause later trouble. I had a major flooding issue in the house, I called a well known named plumber who shrugged his shoulders and said it's a septic issue. Called the septic company and had them do work only for the plumbing to still be leaking. Called a second plumber and he came and disconnected the toilets and sinks but didn't have an answer on what caused it. Finally I called Fix It! Services and got what I was looking for! The technician Joey came out, was knowledgeable, explained everything to me, and gave me a report of findings. I have so much respect for this company for doing honest plumbing work after being strung along and pockets emptied by two other well known plumbing companies in the area. If you have a water heater installed, check all of the pipes and fittings before the one year warranty expires. Company used galvanized pipes and fittings that are unable to handle the hard Texas water. We are now stuck with a leaky water heater and company will not fix after a year and two months. read more

Amanda has been an amazing service Rep. We have done multiple three way calls with my extended Home Warranty company in addition to her own phone calls and e-mails to them. I have heard her fight for me with the home warranty company. She is a professional, down to earth and has a real concern and care for the customer. Even though the Warranty company is dragging their feet and it has been over 3 months for a simple Sink Leak. Amanda has talked to her supervisor and have decided to fix my sink as she continues to fight for me/the Customer. Now as for the Plumber the review is not as good but Amanda makes up for any other negative comments that I have. So for the Plumber, he came to my house about three months ago to fix my kitchen sink leak, he did not have the supplies to fix it. (It is a sink dripping, what kind of plumber can not fix a leaky sink?) He said he needed to go back and get authorization to buy the different type of sink plumbing that I have. I did not hear back from anyone for about two months, and I called and of course Amanda was on it. The next week, the same plumber came out about 1 hour past his three-hour window that was given to us to fix my leaky faucet. So, when he got to the house, he spent about 1/2 hour talking to my wife trying to sell us a Water Softener (Which we already have) and then after about 45 minutes he said (Once again) that he did not have the parts to fix my sink. What made things worse it that I was in the hospital waiting for my wife to get back, and this guy come 1 hour late as some sort of sales man trying to sell us something we don't need and for the second time still can not fix my sink. This company came out for a plumbing issue. I called the plumber and they gave me a timeframe between 12-3pm. Kevin arrived at at 4:15pm. Kevin told my wife he couldn't help us because our main sewer line access in under our house and that's too dangerous for them. We actually have a very generous crawl space compared to most Pier and Beam homes. Said he wanted $1000 to splice into the line and would have to dig a 2 foot tunnel. We declined. He said we still had to pay him the $65 service charge. Called another plumber who came out within the hour and charged 1/3 of this without having to do any digging or splicing of lines. We had a sewer issue where another company guessed at what the problem was. Jordan with Fixit Services out of Hawkins came out and very quickly determined it was a collapsed line in the yard. Jordan did what he could to get us by till everything was approved to replace the line which took less than a day for him amd Justin to replace appropriately 50 ft of line. After checking other places, fixit was the cheapest and did an outstanding job. Jordan and Justin were professio al and explained everything that had to be done prior to doing anything. I want to give a huge Shout Out to Fix it Services, specifically to Westin, Taylor, Kevin and the dispatch team for coming to our rescue. The modest older home I bought for my son and his mentally handicapped daughter (my granddaughter) in February developed a leak around the meter, evidenced by a pool of water in the meter and a lot of healthy green grass. On a Friday evening, the Gatesville water department came out and determined that it was not their issue because water was running through the meter and they turned off the water to the home, leaving my son and his mentally challenged daughter without water. I called around trying to find a plumber, and they were the only plumbing agency that returned my call: and did so within hours. They came out and quickly analyzed the situation, which was the 52 year old PVC waterline going from the meter to the house was the source of the leak. They gave me three choices and quotes for the respective repairs. I chose to replace the entire waterline due to it being 52 years old and I and I did not want another leak to fix as the line degraded. They quoted yesterday that they would be able to get to it in approximately a week. I explained that I had my son in a hotel, as he needed water to care for my granddaughters special needs. They then went above and beyond, surprised me and showed up today and replaced the line, and even did a few extra things above and beyond the contract scope. What an amazing team! Floor installers accidently sawed into the main water line of our house causing water to pool on the concrete slab in one room and get into three walls before we could shut off the water. Fix It Services had men out there within 30 minutes. They were able to find and repair the damage quickly. They also got fans and heaters set up to dry out the moisture that had managed to get under the sill plates in the room. Their service was quick and professional. We can't really assess the quality of their work since we never saw them. We scheduled an emergency plumbing appointment. Understandably, the emergency plumbing appointment before ours encountered more snares than expected. Our frustration was the lack of communication. If it were possible to give a ZERO rating, I would. I contacted this company earlier in the week, on a Monday, and they wanted me to schedule on Wednesday of the same week. I told them I needed to ask for the day off work. So we settled on Friday (today). I was told someone would arrive in a time window of 11 am - 3 pm and they would contact me when he was on the way, or if there was a problem. By 3 pm there was no communication. I called and was assured I was next, he was picking up supplies and would be there directly. I let them know I needed to go pick up my daughter from school and would be gone for about 30 min...I actually was gone less than 20 min. By 6 pm there was still no technician, nor any calls or messages from them. So I cancelled my dinner plans for the evening (keep in mind I already took a day of PTO to be home). By almost 7 pm...still no call, no tech. I called back and was asked to hold while they called the tech. No one ever returned to the line. I was on hold for over 5 min. So I hung up and called back. This time I got a young lady that did return to phone after a couple of moments, but I was advised after 7 pm the tech would be over 2 more hours. The main issue is communication. Don't expect much or accurate estimates of when they will arrive. Very disappointing after reading other reviews and I was hopeful it would be a good experience. They were friendly each time I called, but not honest about when they were capable of arriving. I know things happen. However, they not once did they initiate a call or message to keep me apprised. I had to do all the calling. Completely unprofessional. I have a faucet that will not turn off in one of my bathroom tubs and now have to take yet another day off work. I'm contacting my home warranty company and asking for a different service to be assigned. I also paid the service fee upfront. Not happy. read more

If zero stars was an option it would be a better rating for this company. They are totally taking advantage of people and WAY overcharging for their services. A repair that is estimated online to be a $100-150 job, this company gave us an estimate of $700 to fix ( and took about 5 minutes to complete, by the way). Luckily my husband is super handy and was able to do some googling and you tube videos and was able to get us fixed for $50, and that includes buying all of the equipment needed to sauder. We will NEVER use this plumber and I will make sure that everyone I know in the area doesn't use them either. Definitely scam artists as the other reviewer recently pointed out. Dispatch is horrible about communication. Day of apt no show no call, we call to find out they had a supposed ER call and would not be coming until later if at all. I asked why we were not notified and was told because they were in a meeting. Later in the day no call still, we called to reschedule for next day. Day of apt we call 30mins before apt and are told plumber is in another town and he will call us 30mins before he was to show. We get a call at 1:20 from dispatch saying he is 30 mins away...an hour and 30mins later we call dispatch again. She puts us on hold than comes back saying he was stuck in traffic was 9 minutes away. When people have to physically be home for these appointments this is uncalled for as a professional business. We should not be having to chase the dispatcher to find out what's going on. It felt like one made up excuse after another. No one wants to wait around 2 working days for someone to show up especially when it has to do with plumbing. Not cool. read more

I rent though JWC, My toilet bowl wouldn't flush correct at all. JWC used Fix It Plumbing, they made an appointment from 9-12 p.m. They did not call me to let me know the plumber would be at my home later that night. the plumber came to my home at 8 p. m. at night. When he took the toilet apart he realize he did not have the parts to fix it. My toilet needed a 4 inch flusher and he only had a 2 inch, he came so late Lowes was closed. So after he left they sent out Kevin the next day. Once he got to my home, he acted like he did not know what was going on. Once I said I was about to call the company he magically remembered his notes on what to do with the toilet. He told me he was about to leave to go and get parts from his truck and left his bag in my bathroom. This man was gone for almost a hour. I kindly grabbed his bag and left it outside my door and called the company and told them to never to send me Kevin. They sent a third plumber and the job still was not fixed. JWC had to hire another company to fix the toilet. Now it is flushing hard and the level is all back working correct. If anyone is reading this I employ and beg you PLEASE do not come to this company. read more
