Finally I found Steve! I brought my 120 pounds of tax returns and business files to Steve's Shredding. Steve helped me bring them in from my car. I watched and chatted with Steve as he shredded them. In about 20 minutes it was all done, his price was very reasonable, and I wished I had more to shred so I could talk with him longer. I live an hour drive from Steve's place, so I scheduled another appointment in Portland the same day to make the trip worth it. No need for that, Steve is worth a special trip any time. Surprise Bonus: There's a dog training and boarding company in the same building. I got to meet that business owner and pet a couple of doggies. What a great day!

They walked me through all of the services / options they offered (including on-site and off-site shredding) and helped me figure out what would work best for me. They even worked with me when I realized that my company had approximately twice the amount of boxes we originally thought we needed to dispose of. Everybody I called from Shred Northwest was super friendly. I really appreciated how each customer representative took the time to answer all of my questions regarding different shredding options, pricing, and the shredding process. This was my first time using any shredding company, and I had called several other companies in Portland to request quotes. Some of the other companies weren't that friendly or helpful, and others were much smaller operations that functioned out of a person's home (which didn't feel as secure to me). I definitely liked how Shred Northwest had the capacity to load 120 boxes into their truck and shred all of it at a secure location. I would definitely recommend using Shred Northwest for your shredding needs, especially if you have a larger project. They made the process easy, and it felt like they really cared about my customer satisfaction when I spoke with them.

They put documents in a locked vault until they shred at the end of day. If you wish you can make arrangements to watch as they directly shred them. A large red recycle tote full of documents is $10.
