I was only trying to give the staff member enough information to understand why I was calling. Instead, she told me that I was talking too much and wasting her time, and that next time I shouldn't talk so much. I was honestly shocked and very upset by the way she spoke to me. In my past experiences with doctor's offices, staff usually ask what the problem is and why I need an appointment, so I thought I was doing the right thing.
