Dr. Mok exemplifies extraordinary bedside manners and offers sound advice to my questions and concerns. I have been back for my second annual physical with his office so far. I get my usual referral for follow up ultrasound and mammogram due to a family history that I'm carefully monitoring . He also helps refer me for labs to ensure I'm healthy, and to specialists when I need to, such as the chiropractor, ENT, dermatologist, physical therapist -- you name it. Although there was a long wait the first time, it was because I came in the afternoon. The following year (recently) I came in the morning, and the wait wasn't so bad, only 45 minutes. The office calls me when they receive paperwork from other offices on my behalf, which is awesome. I'm grateful to have finally found a PCP that cares. Hopefully, he can continue to be my PCP and when I have kids, they can see his wife, too! read more

I had an appointment to see Dr. Mok for 2 PM. I was given the usual new patient forms to fill out. I did so, handed them in, and I only had to wait about five minutes. They took my height and weight, led me to an exam room, and Dr. Mok saw me a minute later. He was very courteous and professional and addressed all of my concerns. He listened to me. Let me repeat that: he actually listened to me. This is something that I'm not used to when it comes to my health care. I asked for a referral to a specialist, and he said that one would be ready within a week. One week later, his office called me and said that it was ready. I was very satisfied with the treatment that I received from Dr. Mok and I would recommend him to anyone. read more

Dr. Mok has been my doctor since I turned 18, and prior to that his wife was my pediatrician since birth. Dr. Mok is extremely patient and never rushes through appointments. I don't come in often, and when I do, I have thousands of questions and concerns. I've never had bad experiences with him, only his front desk staff. Making an appointment is also extremely difficult, comparable to making a DMV appointment. Him and his wife are really popular doctors, especially in the Vietnamese community. Be well aware of your coverage too, front desk staff's first instinct is to charge co-pay for things that were covered by my insurance. read more

Horrible service from doctor and staff. My dad tried to make an appointment in August 1st and they said they had an opening on august 31st. That's fine. Completely understandable. However, when he shows up to his appointment yesterday, Aug 31st. The staff refused to see him because he wasn't listed in the system. My dad then shows the staff and doctor his Medicare card with the doctors name on it and says he needs to see him to get a eye doctor referral but the doctor had the audacity to say that the insurance company just prints whichever doctor name on there and that it's just a piece of paper. My dad ends up having to pay a deposit (which is fine) and was hoping the doctor refers him to an eye doctor. But instead what he finds on his prescription paper is PENDING. What the heck was the point of putting a deposit down and getting a referral when the doctor was going to write pending. We will not be coming back. read more

I really wanted to give Dr. Mok's practice a 5 star because he is so nice, but every time I go.. I'm always being referred to a specialist. He's good if you have a slight cold or cough etc.., but if you have something that is specific and you have PPO, go to a doctor that specializes in that area. The staff is not very nice and I think it's because they're so busy and the girls don't make small talk. On my insurance card, it says if I'm in Network, I did not have to pay. The girls overlooked it and so did I. When I went home I realized that I didn't need... ooo well.. It's hard to find a good family doctor that you click with, so as of now.. I'm still on a search to find the right one, it's like dating I guess haha. read more

Very friendly doctor and good staff, communicate well but booking is tough. He's often booked solid for months at a time. With that said, he's very good at calling you personally, even on weekends, to discuss stuff with you to avoid having to come in altogether. He's very personable and efficient with his time, with a hands on approach. Literally, he takes your blood pressure himself, and with the old school pump and sleeve, not the electronic ones. I was seeing Dr. Nguyen-Mok as my pediatrician and was referred to Dr Minsen Mok as my primary physician / adult medicine after I turned 18. Dr Minsen Mok very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and refers to great specialists.He is very punctual with referrals and results (labs, specialist). If you have a concern, he listens, and then he will give you options and inputs. I highly respect him and have been seeing Dr Mok as my primary physician for about 9 years! And will continue to see him. I had always come back even when I switched to different insurance. I would drive 30 minutes from my home to see him. His staff/front desk are very nice too. There is this one super sweet one, and sometimes you have a sour one, but they dont last long. His office is located on the 3rd floor of the East elevator. Office is clean with plenty of magazines. There's a TV/DVD for kids and adults to watch. The office consists with adult patients for Dr Minsen Mok, and kids for Dr Nguyen Mok. His office hours are pretty limited though. Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri. Closed on Weds and weekends. Hours are 9am-1130am; 2pm-4pm. If you come as a walk in, be ready to wait, because appointments has priority, of course. One time I came in early (9am) hoping to be seen soon as a walk in, boy was i wrong! I ended up waiting for 3 hrs. After that I made sure I make an appointment. Never again come in as a walk in, unless it's an emergency. I am a loyal patient, with HMO or PPO insurance he will take. read more

He is an amazing doctor who is patient and takes his time with you! If you come in for a walk in appointment, you are seen within 30 minutes on average. I do not like his wife for pediatrics, but that is another story. He always makes sure you are getting all of the care you need. I've been coming here for years. Both my daughters also come here, Dr. Tramy Nguyen Mok when they needed a pediatrician, then when they turned 18, right over to Mr. Minsen Mok. He is a great doctor and communicator, I feel really comfortable with him and best of all he actually listens to his patients. Best to make an appointment, he is usually booked weeks out but if you walk in it's really not that long of a wait. Besides, they always have great movies to watch while you wait. read more

Dr. Mok has been a caring & dedicated internist/family physician of mine for over 15 years. He always takes the time to listen to my concerns/questions and addresses them professionally. Whenever necessary, he'd refer me to see a competent specialist within a week or sooner. Every time he orders lab work for me, he or his medical assistant consistently follows up with me regarding the test result whether it is normal or not. About 5 months ago, I developed 2 painful heel spurs for which Dr. Mok sent me to a well-respected podiatrist, Dr Chuc B. Dang who then successfully treated my case. Last week, I was taken to the Orange Coast Memorial Hospital ER due to a bad case of unpassed kidney stone. Even though I did not notify Dr. Mok of my ER visit, his office staff called me up 2 days later to check on my well-being. As soon as she was informed that I was still taking medication for pain and had not passed the stone yet, she had the doctor call me back later in the afternoon. After our discussion, he promptly started the referral process for me to see an urologist and then let me know as soon as the referral was approved. All in all, Dr. Mok is a truly dedicated healthcare professional and I'm very appreciative of his care throughout the year. read more

1. We called, to make an appt as Dr. Minson Mok is listed as our PCP on our insurance card. He only takes cash or check. It's 2017, time to catch up. 2. We called back to make an appt for a day closer to pay day so we can pay cash, the reply was we are closed Wednesday. We say okay Thursday, to which the reply was are you a new patient or existing. We say, well he is listed as our PCP on our cards, but we haven't seen him. She says you are new patient and we can't see you until Sept 7. It's August 14th. I think I have pneumonia, so waiting that long is not okay. She never asked our reason for the visit. Conclusion: Drs. please hire some decent office staff with people skills and perhaps AA degrees at least (you'll have to pay a little more) AND accept credit cards and Care Credit. We patients are paying high insurance premiums and high rent to live in CA - we need options! Even ice cream shops have the ability to accept credit cards. Even our vet accepts care credit. read more

Both Dr. Moks are great, but the front office staff are not. Every year during your standard annual exam, they would always ask for me to pay a copay, but preventive check up is free. I still don't know why I come here, maybe because I'm too lazy to find another doctor, but make sure you know your health benefits better than the staff, otherwise you'll end up paying. read more

Dr. Mok seems to miss nothing as he fields questions posed by patients on the fly answering questions about medical ins. and weather the company got back to him as of yet or if the patients ins. approved them or not....All from memory! That's acing the front office in my book! Now lets talk about his area, the back office and true medicine. I thank my lucky stars that Dr. Mok is my doctor now. I suffer from Cluster Headaches and it is very hard to find a physician that is this honestly helpful with my affliction. Dr. Mok treats ALL of his patients as if they were as precious as life itself; you are the center of his attention for the time he is with you. Dr. Mok is both an MD and PhD. You would do very well to ask Dr. Mok to be your general practitioner as he practices internal medicine and has a vast knowledge of the discipline as well as the humanistic and reassuring, if you will, needs of his patients. read more
