My mom's new PCP was very thorough and communicated her various issues very well. The front office vibe, however, was not quite as welcoming. To be fair, this may be because I am comparing it to a very high bar. My mom's last 2 PCP offices were so warm and eager to get to work out any wrinkles over the years. It felt like they saw my mom as part of a family. This felt more gatekeeperish, which is, of course, part of the job. I Was considering an office that was more connected to gerontology before my mom was assigned to this practice. It this point in her life, I want her remaining years to have sunny vibes for future health visits. I've only been seeing Dr. Coyne as my primary care provider for about 4-5 months, and I can already say he's changed my life. For over 20 years, I suffered from painful, embarrassing bumps, redness, and pus on my scalp. It was irritating, sometimes even unbearable. My old doctor and even a dermatologist tried different antibiotics and creams -- nothing worked. Eventually, I just gave up and learned to live with it. On top of that, I had a rash for 3-4 months that my old doctor brushed off as "normal." That's when I decided to switch to Dr. Coyne -- and I'm so glad I did. During my very first visit, Dr. Coyne took a close look and told me I had a non-sexual yeast infection on my skin. He gave me a cream -- and boom -- it cleared up. I was amazed. That gave me the confidence to ask about my scalp again, even though I had lost hope. Dr. Coyne didn't dismiss it. He took just 30 seconds to examine me and said, "This looks like folliculitis." He explained it clearly, gave me a treatment plan, and said, "Let's try this cream -- if it doesn't work in a month, we'll do something else." To my shock -- it cleared up in FOUR DAYS. I kept waiting for it to come back... but it's been over a month, and my scalp is finally clear for the first time in 20 years. Dr. Coyne is compassionate, sharp, and genuinely cares about his patients. If you're struggling with skin issues, scalp problems, or anything that other doctors have dismissed -- go see Dr. Coyne. He's not just another doctor -- he's the kind that actually listens and knows what he's doing. I'm incredibly thankful I found him. Just wished I found him sooner. read more

I'm sure Dr Coyne is a great doctor. I just can't get in to see him. Two different times I've called to make an appt. The first time was to make an appt to get a referral for a mole that I had ongoing care for. But bc my insurance changed I have to start ALL OVER as a "new patient" in order to get that referral to go back to my specialist. Ridiculous. The second time I called was bc I had a persistent health issue for the past two weeks that was not fun to deal with. The receptionist said --again-- the next new patient availability isn't for 3 months. So...I have to suck it up and deal with my issue until then? Their response was, you can go to urgent care. As a health care professional having to deal with staff that don't care or know how to think outside the box to get their patient care is really sad and upsetting. I have my own office and my staff do not treat patients like this. read more

This is the worse medical group that I have ever had to deal with. My PCP retired so my insurance arbitrarily assigned me to Dr. Coyne. I have tried to get in to see Dr. Coyne and was denied due to my account being in collections (upsetting news to me as I always pay as I go. In fact, his staff collects your co-pay immediately after you check in.). In any event, I needed medical attention so I called the billing department and paid the $50.53. 20 days later, and after having to receive treatment from the ER for my condition, I am still suffering in pain. I tried to make an appointment today and was told I was still in collections (my bank statement shows my payment made on 10/10/25 cleared my bank on 10/14/25). Nonetheless, Karina advised it could take two months for my account to reflect my payment and until then, they cannot render care and treatment to me. My advise is to steer clear of this doctor and the medical group as caring for his patients is not his priority. What a disgrace to the medical community read more

My main physician there is Dr. Brian Coyne. He will make you feel as if he is your own private Doctor. Dr. Coyne is very calm and attentive. He never rushes you in and out. He will give different therapy options for problems you might have. Dr. Coyne will explain the pros and cons of each. Everyone in the whole office is so polite and welcoming. I always get in to see the doctor under 10 minutes. The walk-in clinic downstairs is run the same way. Everyone really seems to care and you never feel abandoned. On a rare occasion when they might be swamped on a weekend if your issue isn't crucial you can check in and then go home and they will call you when they are close to seeing you. -- I-have had excellent help there. read more

I could go to essentially any doctor that I chose, including "specialists." Nevertheless, I have been a patient of Dr. Coyne's for many years (I can't recall how long - 20 years?). My primary care Doctor finally retired and I found myself in need of choosing another. Dr. Coyne was in the same office and I've heard good things about him. So I signed up. I'm really happy with my choice. Good all around. Easy to talk too, seemed to ask the right questions and friendly. As I was leaving, one of the staff asked who I now had as my doctor. The whole Family Care Center is so well run. You will notice it immediately. The front desk help are very friendly and efficient. The office and waiting rooms are spotless. Each time I have gone I was seen by a doctor under 10 minutes. My physician there by choice is Dr. Brian Coyne. He will make you feel as if he is your own private Doctor.
