I had one of the worst medical experiences with Dr. Robby Ayub's office. It took me two and a half months just to get an appointment, and when the day finally came, I arrived 5 minutes early for my scheduled time at 1:30 PM. I waited over two hours without ever being seen. Despite repeatedly asking the staff when I would be called, I kept being told "a little bit longer." To make matters worse, I later realized that patients who arrived after me were being seen first--simply because they were returning patients. The office staff was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. They completely ignored the stress I was under and offered no communication or empathy. When I asked to speak with the doctor, he never came out to acknowledge me--not even a quick word to explain or apologize. Instead, the office manager took me outside, and instead of trying to help, she simply opened the door as if to push me out. This entire experience left me feeling disrespected, ignored, and mistreated. A doctor's office should value every patient's time and well-being, especially first-time patients who waited months for care. Unfortunately, this office showed me the exact opposite. I have never received such attentive care from a physician before. Dr. Ayoub went way above to ensure I get the best treatment. Although there was a bit of a wait the last time I was there, it was worth the wait. He always treats his patients with care, and spends actual time with everyone. I called Dr Robby's office and told them I have something stuck in my throat or asofogus and it is making me want to throw up and I need to get in immediately to get someone to look me over or send me to a specialist. The receptionist said the soonest they can get me in is 3 weeks from the date I called even just to get a referral to go elsewhere. The first time I went to this office I never met the doctor just a nurse. It took over 4 week to get a prescription to my pharmacy and that was after calling at least twice a week trying to get them to take care of it. They are understaffed and the only two times I I tried to deal with them was very unsatisfactory. If you are looking for a primary Doctor in your network I recommend you look elsewhere. I should have gotten a new primary Doctor after my first visit. Oh well live and learn. read more

I finally got to see Dr. Ayoub today... my previous review was after talking to his PA by phone marsho after blood test results showing mold in my blood. I feel she should have treated what was directly in front of her earlier, or at least get me in to see Dr. Ayoub earlier. She said she would talk to Dr.Ayoub about it, but never got back to me after several messages to call me back...that was back in april...its june now. Ayoub said its a deadly type of mold. Dr. Ayoub is a nice guy, logical, and willing to listen, and not afraid to treat things. Very thankful he is treating me finally. He also went ahead and ordered some other test regarding my mucous build up and that was very nice of him as we were headed out the door and he went back and added it to the order. Logically he wants to wait to see if the treatment resolves the mucous first so that was cool... not rushy and dumb about things. read more

I had a terrible experience with this office, and the lack of respect for patients' time is unacceptable. I had to leave work early to take my father to his appointment because we were told no appointments were available after 3:45 PM. I scheduled this appointment three months in advance, drove all the way from Claremont, and arrived at 3:20 PM, only for us to wait until 4:45 PM to be seen, not even by the doctor, but by an assistant. While waiting, we filled out multiple pages of questionnaires, only to have an office staff member and later the assistant ask us the exact same questions again, typing the answers into the computer each time. What's the point of having patients fill out forms if staff are just going to repeat the same questions? It felt like a complete waste of time and I think they were stalling or trying to buy time for the visit. When we finally saw the assistant, the visit lasted less than 15 minutes. She gave us orders for a breath test and blood work, and that was it. No updates were provided during the wait, and there was no indication of how long we'd be sitting there. Both my father and I hadn't eaten all day, thinking this would be a quick appointment, but we ended up waiting over an hour for what should have been a brief visit. This office clearly doesn't value patients' time, and the lack of communication only made the experience worse. I hate that his primary doctor is contracted or in the same group with this doctor so they kept sending us over here. If it was up to me I would leave this medical group if it means I can go to somebody else instead. Also, I've been to this office 3 times, never seen the doctor. I've tried for weeks to get a cpap supply prescription calling, texting, emailing with no results. this office used to be good, but it seems dysfunctional now. each person (actual human on the phone eventually) stated they would get the prescription faxed to my supplier right away, even expedite it, but my supplier just received the prescription yesterday. I'm exhausted. I have cried over this struggle. I've had to tie knots in my cpap headgear to try to keep it on my head while sleeping. it's rotten and stretched out. mgr told me this morning she had a lot of experience, but then argued about when I was in the office last. I had the appointment in my calendar thank God and knew I'd kept it. it was a televisit. said she had to do "research"....im sorry but after weeks of trying to get a new CPap supply prescription she has to do research? it has been absolutely crazy dealing with this office and don't know why it's changed for the worse. My husband had chosen Dr. Ayoub as his new primary. Unfortunately we had to change to another primary as my husband had some serious problems and we could not get an appointment soon enough to get him the help he needed. He had seen the nurse practitioner and had some blood tests ordered. His problems were getting worse and I wrote a lengthy email explaining and asking for some help. No response. When I called the office to ask about it, all I was told is that the email went to the doctor and they could not do anything about getting my husband in sooner. Horrible! I give this office zero stars. I had an appt over 1 mth ago. The Dr. Not dr. Ayoub but asst. She was very nice. A quick appt then back a week later for testing. While doing the allergy testing, the girls acted like she had no idea what she was doing. ( I have allergies, and none came up). The dr orders two inhalers, a rescue, and a daily the daily needed a pre auth. It has been over a mth now, and there is still no medication on the pre auth one. I have called every week for the past mth and get the same answer " I will have LIZ call you back." LIZ never calls, and still no medication. Yesterday, I called again, and the same comments I asked tonspeak to the manager. Well, guess what, LIZ is the manager .she needs to be fired.. when asked to speak to someone above her, I was told it's the dr, and I would have to make a follow-up appt. WTF..then she says, " we just have so many patients," this is a medication to help me BREATHE.. What a pathetic excuse for a critical care office. You have peoples lives in your hands. Dr. Ayoub is one of the most caring humans you will ever meet. He takes the time to listen to your needs and doesn't drop the ball when you are sick and need help. I trust him with my family and have referred him to many co-workers/friends. He is very busy and is able to treat the human body on every level because he is a pulmonologist/critical care doctor/internal medicine/sleep study and does research to help humanity too!!!! He has a wonderful team and they try their best to go the extra mile for you. His nurse practitioner is top notch!!! I recently got the flu that turned into bronchitis/pneumonia and she right away called in some treatment meds for me. I'm finally getting relief. I'm so grateful to finally breathe. Dr. Ayoub is so professional, innovative, and hard working!!!! It's difficult to find a health care provider that doesn't make you feel like a number, and a financial transaction. Having a multifaceted provider is so important to find, not only for your checkups, but someone who can admitted you to the hospital if needed. I've been admitted before to the hospital and he always rounded on me with a caring attitude, never do you feel rushed ( he takes so much of his time to let you explain things), and I felt loved and cared for in his hands. We refuse to see this doctor and use their office ever again. I accompanied my mom for her appointment there this morning and we were made to wait for over 1.5 hours. If I didn't start making noise, we probably would have been made to wait longer. My mom didn't even get to see the doctor, she was seen by a PA - who seemed nice enough but there is no way we will go back there again. The office seemed to be interested in one thing -- sell us a sleep apnea study. Read the negative reviews and believe them! I've been a patient with Dr. Ayoub since I was a junior in high school (17 years old). I am now 22 and I continue coming with Dr. Ayoub because he is phenomenal and so is all his staff! They are all super friendly, very informative, and very educated. I sometimes do wait quite a while to get checked in but I honestly don't mind. I understand we make appointments at a certain time and expect to get seen at that time but things happen and it's not always the staffs fault they get backed up sometimes, it's happens ! The staff really goes above and beyond to help their patients feel important and really make us feel like they want to help us. I've started having very bad complications with my asthma but with the helps of the medical staff here and doctor, it's gotten so much better and I've really seen a HUGE difference! If you have lots and lots of free time this is the place for you. On one occasion they scheduled my dad's appointment on a Friday when all the staff goes out to lunch, we had to wait until they all came back from lunch and got into work mode again. Another occasion my dad had an appointment at 11am, and he was called in almost 2hours later, he had to wait for the Dr. an additional 15 minutes after that he was transferred to another room to wait for the discharge employee, another 20 minute wait. Dr. Ayoub has been my PCP for a little over a year now and I am thoroughly impressed with the care I have been receiving. The office staff are very welcoming and very helpful as well! For as busy as the office is, the staff are always on top of any orders needed, prior authorizations, scheduling, etc. Even amidst a pandemic, Dr. Ayoub has been able available to his patients ensuring that everyone stays healthy and well. I have had a couple of virtual appointments now with Dr. Ayoub and his Nurse Practitioner, Marshon, and that has worked out very well as I got to stay in the comfort of my own home. Both Dr. Ayoub and his NP Marshon take the time to listen to your concerns and address any needs you may have. I would highly recommend Dr. Ayoub and his office for any primary and pulmonary care needs you may have! Juat had an appointment yesterday 3/16/23 as i waited an hour to be seen with 5 other patients waiting as well in a tiny cramped office. A lady of 50 came rushing in with shortness of breath taking little sips complaining loudly she waits 3hrs to be seen and nobody returns phone calls or answers her questions. She wanted her medical records so she can switch pulmonologist and she took tine out of her day to personally ask for her records which she couldnt even reach by phone to get any answers from the office. She talked for 5 min and someone came out to take her in probably just to silence her gripes and complaints with the promise of seeing the doctor. My appointment wasnt with dr ayoub but with his PA Ms. Sogol who asked what brought me in examine my lungs and then recommended a sleep study and most likely CPAP machine later with blood test and a pft. Later she ordered a CT and IG blood test with normal labs and also an alergy test. Im actually a non practicing physician and been in the medical field for some years till my life took a turn due to an addiction. I am very grateful for medi-cal and understand how difficult it is financially for these private practice doctors to remain open since i have a few friends with offices serving medicare medi-cal and privately insured and cash patients. I had many questions for ms. Sogol who dismissed me and left the room when i denied a sleep study/cpap for good reason i wont go into at this time. I already let her know i am an m.d. i the beginning of the examination so little extra time needed for explaination. She didnt spend more than 5min with me and was very abrassive and dismissive at the end. She only examinedd my lungs and did not palpate my neck to check for swelling of glands or lymphnodes look into the back of my throat for obvious signs of obstruction infection or even cancer. She just motioned me to leave and pointed to the receptionsists to schedule tests and my next apptointments. she treated me like i was just a another number she hesitantly answered my questions about the "extra" tests that ms. Sogol ordered without letting me know. I had one last question for ms. Sogol and the receptionist said shes too busy and who are you to ask while shes with another patient. My question was only going to take less than 2 seconds to ask. Ive been to many doctors and offices especially with taking care of my mom for 5yrs with dementia from private to kaiser to nhan hoa clinic to hospitals. Include all the experience as an intern resident and doctor and doctors ive seen over the years. Ive never seen such a poorly runned absolutely disrespectful business model. I pray dr ayoub is reading this and hopefully make changes. I wish i had a chance to speak to him. On the other hand had a wonderful experience with my orthopedic surgeon first appointment later that afternoon. Dr. Farjoodi in Hunting beach is an amazing surgeon amd physician. If I could I would give less than 1 star. I have been with the Doctor 2 years. I have yet to see him. The office staff doesn't care. They are very disrespectful. They are idiots. They interrupt you when you talk so nothing gets done. I have had a RX through them. My pharmacy is in New York. In the past they have give me a RX that I FAX to the pharmacy. Now they say CA law says it has to be electronically sent. On top of that they have sent the RX to 2 pharmacy in CA that I do not use. I have called 3 times and visited the office. I told them it has to be a paper RX and has to be FAXed. Their latest excuse is it can not be sent out of state. So now I have to go to another doctor to try and get it sent. Dr Ayoub is very experienced, kind, smart diagnostician, and friendly person. I have taken my dad to him for COPD treatment and I was pleased to know that he was also participating in our insurance PCP. So now he is a primary and pulmonary doctor for my dad. I don't mind the waiting time bc I know Dr and/or his Nurses always spend enough time with my dad and answer all my questions. It is so sad to see that some people get mad and complain of "waiting time" ....I think they should go to other doctors to compare and it's just normal "waiting for the doctors". Unfortunately, some doctors will not spend even 15 min with you. BTW, I was offered water and coffee in the office, and we (my dad and I) are not Middle Eastern. My dad had multiple COPD exacerbation and I felt like I have been living in doctor's offices. BUT he is doing so much better since we see Dr Ayoub. Honestly, I don't care about being offered coffee or water, or the size and cleanliness of the waiting room, or the waiting time, etc. These thing evolve. All I care is about the HEALTH of my dad and it has never being better. ( Unfortunately, many people do not appreciate their health till it is too late). Nowadays, my dad is able to play with my kids and help me out around the house, instead of being hospitalized most of the time (prior to being with Dr Ayoub). Liz, has been wonderful in helping to get necessary supply and fight with the insurance companies for a simple oxygen for my dad. I can not thank her enough. I've seen many Dr.s in my life; right now I'm battleing diabetic neuropathy and other maladies. Dr. R. AYOUB is the finest most competent physician I have EVER had the privilege of seeing. I've been going to him for about 2 years and I couldn't be happier with the treatment I receive.....not only the very finest treatment from Dr AYOUB but his staff is second to none !!! If you are smart and choose Dr AYOUB to be your physician, you will not only end up agreeing with me about him but you will be amazed at how helpful his entire staff is.....especially Liz. If you have any difficulties whatsoever with paperwork , prescriptions or help finding a good specialist, Liz will bend over backwards to help you. She, next to Dr AYOUB are the primary reasons I come to this office. Please don't make the mistake that Liz is the only helpful assistant Dr AYOUB has. Every nurse & staff member working in that office will make you feel right at home. All of them are curtious and extremely helpful with ALL aspects of your treatment. e.g. insurance paperwork, the ease of making an appointments etc....I just can't say enough about how happy I am with this entire office. If I had to give them a grade it would be A+++!! I also have a problem with sleep apnea...Dr AYOUB is also a sleep specialist so he can help you if you have problems in that area.
