I had cancer years ago. The morning she got the notification from radiologist that read the mammogram, she left me voicemail. By the time I called her back, she had already scheduled an appointment for me with the surgeon the next day. The surgeon and the oncologist she referred me to were also exceptional. Within 10 days I had two surgeries and was on my way to post op radiation. I've never heard of a quicker response. Same when my eye was cut by a cactus. She called around and got me in to see an eye doctor that same day even though all referrals were booked. Can't say enough about Dr Don.

When I asked about cortisol testing, I was told "if you want," but advised to wait two months so I wouldn't "waste" blood work. No ACTH levels were checked, no evaluation for PCOS or Cushing's disease was done, and no pituitary imaging was considered. I felt dismissed and unheard. A second doctor took this seriously, ordered proper testing, and found significant health issues that were missed. Extremely concerning care.

He and his office pressures patients into getting knee injections from his office (they are usually one month long, two times per week, and every six months). The injections will ruin and weaken patients' bones, which leads to breakage. Both of my legs are now broken and I am non-ambulatory. Patients will feel great in the beginning (first shot), but not good after. If and when you tell the doctor and/or his team about the knee injections seem to be no good, they get upset and mistreat you after. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... I have been a patient for Dr John Wang in Fountain Valley, CA for close to 20 years and have…read morefollowed him though several office changes over this time. However, since he has joined Memorial Health Care all things have gone for the worst... You now can't call his office directly and you have to go through the terrible Memorial Care screening system first. Yesterday that took me 3 hours of wasted time where I never even got the doctor's office on the phone. I am covered by Medicare plus I have a costly PPO supplement policy and I never requested to be with Memorial Care so I definitely don't want to be treated like I am with an HMO. Very frightening!! Last week due to communication problems between the doctors offices within the Memorial Care system, I almost missed a needed medical procedure due to their negligence... If that wasn't bad enough those I spoke to within Memorial Care didn't even care as if I was wasting their personal time which is horrific!!! Memorial Care makes you go through their Patient Navigators- I wouldn't trust them to navigate me to the Bathroom. THEY ARE THE WORST!! Due to these issues, I have requested for my complete records file so that I can bring these records to a new doctor and Dr Wang's office wouldn't get my records for me!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why they couldn't do this since that is a requirement of all doctor's to do when requested by a patient. I can only recommend for others to stay as far away as possible from Memorial Health Care or Dr John Wang unless you may want to be treated as I have been. I wish I was exaggerating, but I have the screenshots of my call logs to prove it. To make matters worse, there is no option to schedule appointments online. On the rare chance you finally get a live person on the phone, they constantly hang up on you. This isn't a one-time issue; it happens over and over again. It's a real shame because the doctors here are actually very good--it's just too bad you can't ever get an appointment to see them. Edinger desperately needs a new call center. I'm already switching my insurance because I can't deal with this anymore.
