They have a rack of equipment. Helmets are mandatory for minors. There is a line to go up now and it's fairly long which means less sliding. The staff completely handled the situation terribly didn't even offer me a refund. I had to demand it. How are you not communicating with your employees and putting people at risk like this. They sent me down to the ski patrol where they couldn't even really assess me for a concussion. Now I am considering taking legal action if I do have some serious injuries. The rental process was very simple and they sent us out with the map and a few recommendations. We absolutely loved the 2.5 mile loop trail at the beginning (going clockwise around the loop), but about 1/5th of the way around the loop, the trail and sine age completely disappeared. We did follow snowshoe trails that (we ended up learning) were developed by people who just made their own trail. It was impossible to know which way to go, and crazy enough, we had four bars of service with AT&T while on the mountain, so we called back to the Nordic Center for help, and they recommended we head back towards the Nordic Center the way we came, so we did. It was a little disappointing since we never made it out to the river or to see the bridge, but you can only be disappointed for so long when you're surrounded with such beauty.

The prices are very reasonable, the equipment is in excellent shape, and the staff are amazingly kind and helpful. The resort itself has such a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, making it perfect for families, beginners, or anyone who just wants to enjoy skiing without the pressure of more intense terrain. The slopes are wide, well-groomed, and especially friendly for first-time or casual skiers--you can really take your time and enjoy yourself. The bistro was another highlight once again--the food is excellent and far better than what you might expect from a typical ski resort. It's the perfect place to warm up and recharge. The vibe across the mountain is always a good time. There's great music playing, and you can hear the sounds of wintertime fun all around--laughter, skis carving through snow, and that lively energy that makes a day on the mountain so special. I wasn't a fan of the stove in the room and the large amount of dogs on the premises. I love dogs but the amount of dog poop on property as I'm trying to enjoy my coffee wasn't good. Which is sad because there are poop bags provided by the property.

Ruby Hill is a park on the south west side of Denver and is known for being one of the more steeper…read moreparks in the metro area. Climbing to the top of the hill will boast fantastic views of Downtown Denver and its amazing skyline. In the summer there is a dirt bike park where kids can bring their little BMX and mountain bikes and jump the man made hills. In the winter, Ruby Hill is known for sledding, and on sunny winter days the hills will be packed with kids sledding down the hill all day long. Also like many other parks in Denver, the entrance(s) have been blocked off to vehicular traffic in favor of a safer and more enjoyable environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

I was not able to get names but the two ladies at the front desk are absolutely the sweetest. They gave us information and happily explained the differences between the activities they offer. The uncle and aunty at the pickup line were absolutely the best people to ask for tips on how to ski if you're a beginner! We're from Hawaii and skiing is not really our thing. The information they gave definitely made our experience better. We met a couple of people during our trip and they were all such lovely people to meet! Everyone you meet is encouraging you to keep up and pace yourself. Such a lovely place to be and the sight is incredible!
