staff were so friendly and fun, from the ladies checking us in to the men loading us on the tubes. it was busy but never crowded. we had a wonderful time and it sounded like everyone else there with us was enjoying it too! i love the pulley system, seems much easier and safer than standing on a conveyor belt

Best part about this place besides the quick check in is that you pay per tube not per person. We were a group of 7 and could have gotten 3-4 tubes but got 6 instead because it was our first time. No reservations needed either. It takes energy so in between breaks will be our suggestion for next time. Half of us will go down while the other rest and just take turns that way. We had a blast and accomplished our tubbing goal.. our group was a mix of ages and we all had fun. 6-49 years old and every single one of us enjoyed it. They do have a pulley lift type of system to bring you back up.

So friendly, so fun! This is just down to earth, family fun in its essence. Every staff member was so sweet, checked in and made sure we were having fun. The prices are great, including for little snacks if you need them. Thanks Fraser tubing hill- will be back!

Panoramic view from top of the hill.

Great spot for a bit of tubing fun. Hill gave a good ride. Unfortunately we came at the end of season so there wasn't as much snow and there was snow melting around some areas that make it hard to walk. On the plus side, there weren't much people there and after the last family left, we had the hill to ourselves. It is windy and cold up there although temp in car read 63 degrees. So bring jacket and snow shoes, snow pants too if you got them. And definitely some snow/ water proof gloves. It's an awesome view from the top of the hill so you get to enjoy the scenery. Right next to this park is Colorado adventure park- which is also for tubing as well.

Friendly staff. A lot of family fun. The building needs some basic maintenance, updating, and cleaning. A nice fireplace inside to warm up beside. The tubes were durable and in good shape. Their lift needs a little improvement but is nice to avoid walking up hill. Some slush built up at the bottom of the hill needs attention. Their parking lot needs work. Our family, children, and grandchildren went on a very cold and windy day and we all had a great time and we will be back.

Skiing is great but not everybody is at the same level, so when you go with a group you don't always ski together. Tubing is different. Its an activity everyone can enjoy together. I came here with my family and we had so much fun. Our son would take turns sitting on my lap or my husband's. We would hold on to each others tube and zoom down the mountain. What a rush. It was fun to see bigger groups doing it, screaming and laughing. Even the ride up the hill was fun. I loved everything about this place.

Family was looking for something to do and tried this place. Okay first time down was a little scary bc of the speed. But after first trip down it is great. A lot of fun.

We were looking for fun for the entire family and Fraser Tubing Hill did not disappoint. This was a BLAST for ages 3-68! Our three year old isn't quite 36 inches so this was the best option for us as some competitors require children to be 36 inches. Just a few tips below. 1. Wear goggles and head gear. As you slide down the ice, ice dust will fly and it's cold if you're not covered up. 2. Cover up! It was 30 degrees when we went. The snow gear was a lifesaver. No one was cold. In fact, everyone was sweating by the end of it! 3. Use the lift to the right. If you're standing at the bottoms of the hill, head to your right and use that tube lift. There's no steps required and it helps conserve your energy. 4. Let go and have fun! You'll have a blast if you let yourself relax!

Ahh the simple terror or going off the edge of a hill with no control. It's odd the fear that can be induced after realizing "well I guess I just need to see how this ends" after pushing off the side of this hill. Clipped into a snow board this would barely register as a bunny hill. Remove the ability to stop, turn, slow down, or even face forward on demand and you have a moment of panic on your way down! The lazy River feel of the tow back to the top is an enjoyable ride as you listen to others scream on their way down the slope. You think to yourself ahh yes, I understand the fear of letting go of control. Not only did the wife, myself and the little one all have a great time the staff was warm and friendly. Felt like we were in the back yard of a friends house. They all took care and gave off a feeling that they truly cared if we were enjoying our time. Would definitely return. Price is right weekday discounts and children under 6 ride free in their parents lap.

First timer at Fraser Tuning Hill and I'm soooo glad we came! I love things like this but am also a bit of a scared-cat at first. Between my fears of getting run-over by other tubers and the brutally cold temps (my weather app listed temps in the single digits and teens this morning), I almost skipped it. That would've been a shame. We arrived at opening (10 AM New Year's Eve day). They must've opened RIGHT on smtime or a teensy but early cuz the parking lot was already filling and happy peeps were tubing down the hill. Some have knocked the somewhat haphazard organization inside. It is a bit chaotic, but pack some patience & good spirits and you'll be fine. This isn't the place to be a grouch. If you're coming as a family, only the responsible adult paying and signing the waiver needs to crowd inside. Everyone else can take a quick look at the safety video and head back outside to wait leaving more space for the line. The owners are super friendly and they've run this place for almost 50 years. Even though it seemed really crowded already, we were able to start tubing as soon as we payed. Waiting in line took 15-20ish minutes. Once we had our tubes, the fun was on! We paid a reasonable $30 for 90 minutes. Pay the extra $5 for the extra 1/2 hour. You'll be glad you did! Like I said I was a little nervous at first (I've only gone tubing on tracked tubing hills), but it was so much fun!!! Even though there were lots of people there, people were over all very safe and respectful. I never had anyone start tubing hot in my tail. They have staff at the bottom reminding tubers to look up the hill as thymes exit to the people-puller. Which bring a me to the next tip. The hill has two "people-pullers" (slightly different than a conveyor belt; you "rode your tube back up the hill). If it's crowded, both will be open. Pick the one with the shortest line and enjoy the ride up the hill! My three teenage/young adult kids and I had a blast during our 90 minutes. Sometimes we linked up to go down together, sometimes we rode down solo. My daughter loved tubing down "penguin style" on he tummy. And all loved it more than the Coca-Cola "tracked" tubing hill by the winter park ski resort. I highly recommend this spot for some non-skiing winter fun!

Excellent!!!!! We had a group of 40 ppl and were given a group discount. Our reservation was at 10am for 90mins. It was super easy to get everyone their tubes and planned ahead to get the waiver signed and turned in upon check in. It got very busy towards later in the morning but we did not have to wait in line at all. Plenty of bathrooms and port a potties available. Picnic tables are also available - first come first serve. Will definitely be back!

This Historic Fraser Tubing Hill has been a family owned and operated since 1971. My husband family has been visiting since 1990. Now that the family is getting bigger, we try to tub once every other year. I also call ahead to see how the snow is on the hill and if it is packed today. Yes, they have a great parking lot. One year we parked down the road because it was so packed. When you arrive, you sign a wavier and watch a tub safety movie. Now it is time to grab a tub and start tubbing. Once you're at the bottom of the hill look for a worker. *The PRICE is the best part compared to any snow activity. *If a tubber gets scared after 1 ride down the hill. You can return the tub no charge. I ride for about an hour before I get tired.

Not well organized, the price you pay for an hour of tubing is not worth it. The waiting took longer then the actual tubing.

There were 3 people working the trip, a driver and 2 guides. They had all of our avalanche gear ready to go in backpacks, lunch was on the snowcat waiting for us and they gave a nice complimentary water bottle. They gave us avalanche beacons and a showed us how to use them, tested them to make sure they worked, and gave us a safety briefing along with an explanation of how the 2 guides work together to make things as safe as possible - I definitely felt super safe in the hands of the guides, it was clear that they knew what they were doing. The snowcat was very comfortable and they are very focused on customer service at all times. Now, to the skiing...... Great guides. We were skiing on a day that had interesting conditions. Being a "ridge rat" at Loveland I was well aware of a storm that came in a few days earlier and blew most of the snow off the high mountains leaving not much but wind blown snow. That was certainly the conditions we were seeing everywhere, but the guides had ideas and they were really good ones. They knew their terrain very well and found us some powder that ranged from decent to awesome - mostly awesome. We did have to do some hiking off of the cat to get to the stashes, but it was well worth it and not a big deal. Being a "bit older" I took the hikes kind of slowly, but never felt pressured, and was always reassured that it was no big thing by the guides. We took 8 or 9 runs. Here is the fun part - we never took the same run twice - even though there were some I really wouldn't have minded to ski again, the guides stepped it up with every run. Not only was each run different, but we were the only people who had skied on any of them - first tracks all day long. The runs were super fun - a mix of wide open and somewhat tight. My nephew who skied with us and loves the trees was in heaven. I like more wide open areas and i was in heaven too. Again, the guides were great - one would ski down the run first to do a safety check and/or set a left or right hand line. The second guide stayed with the group and they communicated via radio where the safe lines were and we skied down one at a time. Once the group had all skied down the second guide would clear the hill and we were back on the cat. Very little time was wasted but the guides were keenly aware of conditions and potential hazards and safety was clearly job #1. Finding Powder was job #2 with a bullet and these guys did a great job of finding great snow on a day that I was concerned was going to be very difficult. Super cold beer at the end of the day was very welcome. :-) I have to say that I was really impressed with the entire experience. Great people, great terrain, great snow, great time. Highly recommended.

Rooms were clean and well maintained, and had all of the basics you would need. Everything related to a ski day was nice here - had storage for skis and boots so that you didn't have to bring them to your room. In the morning they have a nice spread for breakfast including fruit and cereal, and also have some hot items including eggs, toast, sausage, and bacon. Definitely enough to get you fueled and ready for the day. Then there is a van they run that takes you right to the gondola leaving at 8:30, 9, 9:30. Taking the first van gets you there right for the start of day. And you don't have to worry about parking, walking, and paying at the resort. Rides back were at 3:15 and 4:15 which gave plenty of time at the mountain. I didn't get a chance to try the hot tub but it looked nice. There were some cozy spots in the lounge with fireplaces to sit and relax. And a ping pong table that a few kids were using to stay entertained. Parking here was convenient, and the location is good; very close to everything in Winter Park. Overall I was very impressed with this stay. I will definitely look here first when looking for a place to stay in Winter Park moving forward. They need better access to maps, both the posted sign size and paper maps. For example, a trail map at bottom of each lift and at top of lift would be good too esp when more than 1 lift ends at same location. And why not put a map of ski village buildings on the trail map to help with orientation. I wish they would have groomed the trails more so in the morning so snow would have been fresher. It just seemed to make it more icy by grooming at night. Since many trails were closed people were condensed into those trails that were open. Squeezing more people into a smaller area will course make lift lines crowded but also puts more traffic on the slopes. The lift lines were absolutely ridiculous on the weekend. I didn't pay that much for lift ticket to repeatedly stand in lift line for 20 minutes. Also it would have been nice to have an increase in ski patrol monitoring some of the trails to discourage the aggressive behavior including the boarder who purposely ran into me and knocked me down. (When they laugh and keep going you know it was on purpose) We purchased lift tickets months ago so I don't remember the details of the process except that it wasn't straightforward. I ordered lift tickets for both myself and my husband so assuming I did the same thing each time but no he got a pass with early up access and I didn't. Weird. Okay here are some positives: I do like the availability of restrooms throughout the resort including up on some slopes. That is very nice. I appreciated sharing the slopes with amputees and individuals using wheelchairs. It is nice to see the inclusivity. I also really enjoyed going up to Sunspot lodge in the evening for sunset. That was very fun.

Being close to the road, you hear trucks, etc - FYI... this place is old, not 'fancy' and even a bit odd. It was Clean, so not gross but def old and things were not "perfect" decor wise or function (sink was a little odd but we made it work). I knew this would be the same reading other reviews and it didnt both me so I'm not deducting stars for it, but it may not be the style people who are looking for a Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Marriott or mid-end AirBnB style place (which is what I usually stay at) may want. The Not Good: - The only real negative was the beds. Our room had 2 Queen beds and could not get good sleep on either one. They were not supportive and I just tossed/turned all night, waking several times.  It didnt help that any small movement (even from a 5 yr old) was amplified by the springs and the bed was bouncy - which woke me up. I travel a lot, sleep on a lot of different beds... dont have this problem anywhere else. if they get new beds I'll stay there again... I doubt I will. My wife definitely will not, she was not happy (yes, I paid the price for that).
