What happened to this place? I went there yesterday and was shocked to see a bunch of random Asian men giving foot massages to the majority of men. This is a Naill salon, where women go to relax and enjoy a day of pampering. It now has the feel and look of a cheap siddy place. They will take cash for the foot massage and are open until 10 pm. Never again. I am sure they will lose most of their women customers soon. I have been going there since they opened. read more

If you're a mom of a baby and want to get a well-deserved pedicure, this is the place! I've gone twice since my 4 month old was born, and the "couches" make such a difference over regular pedicure chairs. I can spread out and lay my baby safely next to me and can change and feed her without having to get up and interrupt the service. The staff is so friendly to her and very accommodating. Went to this salon because I had a broken nail and they were convenient as I was traveling the following day. I get dip powder on my nails as it helps them to grow and it lasts usually two weeks. My visit was May 10th and by the 14th all my nails were broke or split!!! The lady filed my nails to remove the powder I had on and clearly filed too much. Due to Covid, they ask you to fill out a quick form for their record keeping of all their customers, which I thought it was pretty cool since not all nail salon does that. I believe it was Kelly who did my nails. At first, I thought about choosing a different nail color other than white, but happy I went with my first choice. She was very gentle with my hands and nails as I have really thin nails. Whenever I got to a different salons, I get disappointed as they don't completely paint my whole nails but Kelly made sure to fully paint my nails. I have been coming here ever since I tried their service the first time. I have never been to any other nail salon since dashing diva. Lets start with their store first, it is so chic, pink, clean and very cozy and they always have the food network on! (Which I like), now the staff, they are all so friendly and accommodating. Colors, they have a lot of nice options. I always go here for mani, pedi and wax. My bf got his pedi here too and he liked it coz they massage you with hot stone. I love this place. It's a super clean, classy, well maintained nail salon in the heart of Bayside. I have gone several times for a random pedicure, eyebrow wax, etc and have always had a great experience. I recently went over the weekend to get UV gel extensions for the first time and it was awesome. I had no appointment but was serviced right away. My technician did a fabulous job and I got a 30% discount. The nails came out fierce and beautiful; the picture really doesn't do it justice. The nails so far have held up very well without any issues of chipping/breaking. The only downside is that now I'm super addicted to these nails and I'll be coming in every 2-3 weeks to get them refilled, haha. Highly recommended. read more

This was my fifth visit to dashing diva and their service has been consistently excellent. My nails were paper thin because I had been getting gel nails done for a long time and it came to a point where they kept on breaking and I had to get them fixed literally every week, which cost me both time and $$$. Helen, the manicurist there heard my concerns and recommended UV gel, which is adding a thin layer of gel underneath the regular color gel manicure which fortifies the nails and prevent breakage. I am so glad that I listened to her because (knock on wood) I have not broken a single nail since I've been getting UV gel done. At first I was a little worried about the UV gel because I thought it would make my nails look huge and artificial after adding another layer of gel. I explained to Helen how I wanted my nails to look thin and narrow and she delivered exactly what I asked her for. I've been getting so many compliments on my nails and I love them (thanks Helen!) I'm so glad that I found this spot and definitely recommend this place. read more

I was looking for a inexpensive salon to get a Mani/pedi but a lot of them were packed at 12pm on a Saturday (as they should be). I found DD on Yelp and the reviews were good so I decided to check it out. It was very clean, modern and the ladies were super nice. First thing I noticed was that this place is more expensive than the others. Though, I liked it because less people (more relaxing environment) and it was very clean. I opted for the regular pedicure though the other more deluxe pedis looked really amazing. My pedicure was pretty good. They used nicely scented products and they even put paraffin on my heels. So this is definitely more than the standard pedi. Though I noticed my lady didn't not clean under the toenails thoroughly. Not a big deal though. I don't think she wanted to go in too deep. My lady took her time whereas my sisters lady went a lot faster. She started a little after me and finished before me. It wasn't like she had another client waiting. For my nails, I originally opted for a regular manicure but I saw the nice ombre nails on the technician and opted for that instead. It was $36 for the gel ombre. I figured I rather not get a regular manicure and chip my nails. They switched to another woman to do my ombre nails. She was very meticulous and constantly asked if I like how it looked and if I wanted to change the glitter. I was very happy with the end product. My sister got the gel chrome nails which looked nice but they didn't have the silver chrome. Just a more shiny, iridescent looking dark color for her. My pedi was $25 and gel ombre was $36. There is a credit card fee as well. Honestly, not a bad price for the good work that they do. Definitely more expensive than other places but quality is good. Would definitely come again. read more

Wow, I had been meaning to try this place and had a day off, so I stopped by for a gel manicure and a pedicure. I was far from disappointed. The environment was super bright and clean and the staff was extremely polite and efficient. I'm almost two weeks to the day post mani/pedi, my gel manicure is still holding up strong (which is a far cry from what I usually get, where it chips within a week) and my pedicure is still perfect. I think their work ethic and pedicures are great. The ladies there are very nice. They work very hard to make sure you are happy with your nails when you leave, but the quality is just not there. This is the second time I've gotten a gel manicure only to have the gel come off within DAYS (last time one day) of paying a lot of money to get my nails done. Ultimately, it's just not worth it to me. Not to mention, finding dirt under the gel and seeing hairs under my topcoat (asked for French, and they did it on top of my top coat with no base). I tried to let a lot of things slide with my manicures, but with more gel coming off every day, I don't think I'll come here again. read more

The lady who did my nails did an OK job but overall I felt that everyone in the store was being rushed. I was quoted $26 for gel mani over the phone and ended up paying $37.96 --NOT including tip since I asked to do different colors on certain fingers which is understandable. However, I'm confused as to why I was taxed on the total even when I was paying in cash???? Couldn't even ask the lady since I was being rushed out to leave. Eh. My nail tech, Hannah, was super attentive and really took care of me. I paid and left, only to ruin two of my nails as soon as I went to the French bakery across the street. I ran back in and Hannah fixed it quickly and with a smile, even though she was already working on a different customer's pedicure. My friend and her daughter told me about this spot so I decided to check it out. First off, they go by appointments and that's a must for me. I'm sure a lot of you can agree! When I walked in I was immediately seated and taken care of. Kim was the one who did my nails and she was amazing. She made room on the table besides her so the little girl I was with can sit next to me and do her homework. She made nice conversation as well. She did an amazing job on my nails. The decor on the inside of Dashing diva is pink and wonderful. I did the SNS; although there wasn't much colors to choose from.. maybe about 30 colors; I picked a sparkle teal and it's beautiful. They charge $40 for SNS. They don't care about length either it's always $40 unless you want French then it's $45. I will def will be returning and trying this place out for a while. Okay, so I'm in the neighborhood and I walk in to this salon, I ask them how much a manicure is and the lady tells me $12, ok fine.. I proceed to do the manicure, about 20 minutes in the manicure she tells me there is an extra $10 charge because she has to soak off my acrylic (why didn't they tell me that prior to starting??..idk) whatever, just kept going .. the manicurist is filing my nails down and goes to the skin! The bed of my nails! Underneath my nails! I tell her that it hurts and she laughs and brushes it off.. like lady if I didn't tell you that it hurt would you have just filed my whole nail off? I just pay them (and even with tip!) Proceeding to the next 2 days the paint starts to chip, don't think too much of it since I didn't get gel.. a day later my actual nails start to chip! almost all my nails started falling off and I had really strong nails before coming here and have never experienced this in ANY other salon I've been to. My girls and I went here during our wait for a haircut across the street (a nightmare). The ladies were so kind and friendly! They took my girls, helped them choose their colors. Did not even say no when my daughter wanted two colors. We all got both manis/pedis. I do wish the pricing was a bit more reasonable but I still loved it. They made cute conversation with my kids and asked them if they were comfortable with the temp of the water and hot towel which I appreciated. Our manucurists were very attentive and detail oriented. I love this nail salon! I come here for my usual manicure and pedicures about once a month. I love the ambiance going on, first thing you notice is all of the pink! All the pedicure stations have their own sinks and are sofa seats, which is great because there are no jetted tubs that are an infestation of bacteria. Super clean. Also I love the classical music that plays lightly in the background. The nail technicians are super friendly and actually take the time when painting your nails. I also love the fact that every time I come to the shop it is not overcrowded and does not make it feel more like a factory assembly line (like some other unnamed salons..on the same block..cough cough). They also have a large selection of nail polish colors and do not make you feel rushed when taking the time to pick one out. The price is not bad either I usually pay $35 for a standard mani/pedi. And yes, I am very aware there are other nails salons in queens that do it for much less but I never want to run the risk of a nasty infection and/or poor service. I love that they match all the gel nail color to regular polish b/c I hate the struggle trying to find a match so that was a plus for me. This nail salon is the best! I decided to try it out, because they had a grand opening deal (30% off.) The decor is lovely. The staff was super friendly. I usually hate doing regular manicures, because it chips within a day or two. Its been one week since my manicure and not a single chip!! still can't believe it. They clearly do not water down the nail polish. You get what you pay for. A regular manicure is $15.00. (Paid $10 with the discount.) You get to choose between a hand scrub or paraffin. I went with the paraffin. Really helped keep my dry hands hydrated. My friend did a scrub and gel manicure for $25.00. She's also raving about the place. The only issue I had was with the hand dryers. I had to sit for a really long time. Its just a tiny fan that barely blows any air. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Racist! Went here 2 weeks ago for a manicure and pedicure. My nail technician had a nasty attitude. I figured she's older and tired and so I brushed it off. She started my pedicure first. Before I sat down to get my manicure she asked me to pay. She didn't realize that my oldest daughter was with me but getting a spa pedicure. She has light hair and blue eyes. I'm Latina. Curly hair and brown eyes. I paid and didn't think anything of it. I paid and left a $20 cash tip once my nails dried. I waited for my daughter and not once did they ask her to pay upfront. They asked her once her toes dried. The same with the other woman who was sitting next to me. They did not ask her to pay upfront. I simply thought my nail technician was having a bad day. The following Sunday I took my youngest daughter and her friend for a girls day. I waited in the car until they were done and as I drove off the girls described to me how humiliated they were. Their nail technicians racially targeted them. Spoke in another language (I'm use to that) while a completely different technician asked for a tip upfront! They took advantage of 2 children. I called and asked for an apology. I didn't ask for a refund or credit with those disgusting nail designs. Simply an apology. The nail technicians refused. Great service. It's a little overpriced for a Queens nail salon. But they go above and beyond to make you comfortable. It's very clean which is what I was looking for. They do all these extras in terms of the types of scented oils they use to massage you with or giving gifts during the holidays. I also had a was there. It was $26 just for upper lip and chin.
