Her pleasant demeanor and the decent outcome of my mani/pedi is the reason for the 2 stars. But I will never come back here. The manicurist's daughters were eating on the pedicure chairs. When one of them got up to fetch supplies for my pedicure, she left a bowl of food in the pedicure bowl. It was nasty. The place itself we unkempt and dirty. I'm not sure if the supplies was properly sanitized either but I sure hope they were! Come at your own risk!

It's nicely decorated and has a pink princess theme. Although I made an appointment, I had to wait 5-10 minutes which I didn't mind. ::::: Heads up: if you check in on Yelp you'll get complimentary coffee, tea, or wine. :::: I had to take away a star because I honestly didn't see any of the instruments come out of a sterilized bag which I'm VERY PARTICULAR about; hygiene is very important to me. What I didn't know is that they charge you $5 to take off existing gel; this kinda sucked because I inquired on the price before I made the appointment and I was told $40 for a gel mani and a regular pedi. I had just the right amount plus $5 for what I thought was going to be tip. All in all, I like the way my nails turned out and the customer service was good. If I'm in the area I may come back.

I always ask if Lori or Iris is able to recreate a design or show a picture for inspiration and they always make it better than I expect. I recently went again for a pedicure and I was a bit disappointed. The tech initially said I could get the French for my toes but then took it back and said they were too short (after she cut them?) I was so confused. But went ahead with a regular pedicure and picked another color. I'll say the new pedicure chairs are a nice touch and relaxing (I remember their old ones being pretty beat up and no longer comfortable.) They also still use the hot stone massage but it felt like the time using it on my feet was significantly cut from before. In any case, it was a good pedicure overall. It's hit-or-miss based on which tech you get. I will continue booking them when I'm on a pinch and need a service timely. But probably not if I have ample time or want something more fancy.

I WAS WRONG. I don't know who this woman is but she was NOT good. She didn't push my cuticles properly and as she was cutting them too fast, she cut a piece of my skin. When I pointed it out, she said it was my cuticle. Uhm, I think I know if a piece of my skin was taken off. She didn't apologize at all! Even her technique of taking my cuticles off was not good. She didn't cut them and then started to file them off, instead. Look at how scratched my nails are! If you go to Sherpa Nails, ask for Dawa, THAT'S IT!

The poor customer service was apparent almost immediately. The attitudes, smirks, dismissive behavior, and overall lack of professionalism made it seem as though simply walking through the door and asking for a service was somehow an inconvenience to them. When I asked for gel nails with a design, they stared at my nails and acted completely confused by what I was requesting--as though gel with a design were some unheard-of service at a nail salon. If you don't want to provide a service, SAY THAT. Don't stand around smirking, giving customers attitude, and making them feel unwelcome. People are spending their hard-earned money and should not have to tolerate rude, dismissive behavior just to get their nails done. I left utterly disgusted with this establishment. Maria was the only person who was remotely pleasant, and even her work was mediocre at best. Being slightly nicer than everyone else does not make up for an overall terrible experience. Save your money. There are far too many nail salons in Queens to spend your money somewhere that makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by serving you.
