    Ernesto was horrible! Had an issue with a billing cycle so we were called to come in to put a new…read morecard on file. He then stated since it was our six month we needed to pay renewal fees which was fine. Took him 30 mins to tell us as (as we sat their in silence kid u not) that he would not be renewing us for full coverage due to a scratch on our front bumper..never have ever heard of this! Very minimal damage he then proceeded to tell us we can only be under liability only but now he needed proof of address and a new card on file. We did not bring proof of address as we were only expecting to put a new card on file and not a renewal process.. he then said we would have to come back in tmrw as he did not have time for us today. We left with no insurance due to his lack of timing while they were still open for another 30-40 minutes. If not more we arrived 4:30 they close at 6 . I then tell him i have never heard of this and have never had to step in office for a renewal with Fred loya as I've been with them for years with many different vehicles! I asked him for his supervisors contact which he then said "im the manager of this location" i then said "no i need your supervisors contact information" he then says "unfortunately i cannot providw you with that information " "if you have a complaint you can call the phone number on the wall behind u" the phone number on the wall went straight to voicemail 3 times before it actually rang. I finally reached a supervisor from the south bay location which he stated " he should not let u walk out of that door with at least liability and he had plenty of time, it only takes about 10-15 mins at most. " !!! The best part someone walks in after he basically tells us he has no time for us today and he calls the gentleman over to assist him. Ridiculous! Lack of customer service! Lack of empathy! Lack of communication! Lack of time management as a manager! Any other workplace knows ur not done with your shift till the last person is out the door. The supervisor on the phone is spoke with seemed to agree with that and even offered if i were able to get to his location he could get it done within 10 minutes! .....I am no longer with this company after years of being with them because of Ernesto! I am now apart of a competitor insurance which is got within 15 minutes of leaving this location on the phone! 15 minutes is all it took! No proof of address! No having to walk in and way better customer service. Be better Ernesto!

I've been a customer for our auto ins for years, I had left them…read morein the early 2000's and came back in 2022, they are a bit pricey but I was ok with that since they offer the higher limits. Whelp the most awful Thing happened 12/17/25, I was in a horrible accident & my truck was totaled! I gave Wawanesa grace since it was coming up on the Christmas holiday but once 2 weeks passed and no response from adjusters I started to worry as the rental coverage is only for 30 days & I had no vehicle that was being repaired! Well my Worst nightmare came true! The total loss adjuster assigned to us was dragging her feet, never contacted my finance company even though she lied to me on several occasions that she had!! I she had told me over the phone on a Thursday that I would have a check the following Monday & that day came & was gone & it took another 10 days to actually get our funds due us to go replace my vehicle! I would call my finance company daily to see if they've given the payoff to my Ins company & for 2 weeks was told they have not been contacted!! Of course my rental ran out, Wawanesa refused to extend even though THEIR incompetent adjuster didn't follow thru & I literally was doing all the leg work to get my payout to purchase a new vehicle! I ended up paying out of pocket a total of 10 days at $50 a day, thank goodness the rental provider extended the rate to me or I'd be out more money due to Wawanesa's failure to do their job! As of today our loan check to our finance company has still not been recd, it's been since 01/24. So not only did Wawanesa force me to incur over $500 in charges for a rental, my credit is also taking a hit !! I am so disappointed & have left msg for managers with no return call or explanation! I am shocked at Wawanesa & so upset that we pay our ins policy, mind you it's not cheap in CA & with the way things are in the world with ins right now & then to be treated with such arrogance as if we are asking for a favor!! If I could take my business elsewhere right now I would but again the state of our ins premiums in CA it's not easy to move to another ins provider with the same coverages. I feel stuck & not happy at all! I would never recommend Wawanesa ever again!! Wawanesa do better, train your total loss adjusters to have better customer service skills & to return calls to customers & to do THEIR jobs!!! I don't know how many days I spent on the phone leaving msgs, calling my finance company, calling the adjuster back to be lied to & in the end what I was trying to prevent, happened!! Do not go with Wawanesa!! Btw I was not at fault & had major neck, back & arm Injuries all the while dealing with MD appts, therapy, PTSD from The accident & hiring an attorney due to the other party (at fault) not having enough coverage to pay off my vehicle & then I had to deal with the stress Wawanesa caused me. I was literally in tears daily trying to contact anyone at Wawanesa to help us!! I am thankful to be alive, but not thankful for the stress caused by my own insurance!! Go elsewhere!! Not worth the headache they cause their own insured!
