My friends and I were in town for Caribana and decided to treat ourselves to a nice girls dinner where we could dress up and feel a little fancy for the night. Not sure why Dasha has so many subpar reviews, we had a great time! Firstly, the restuarant outside and in, is gorgeous and rife with prime locations for photo ops. Secondly, the food and drinks were good. The highlights were the dumplings, salmon roll, brussel sprouts and sweet and sour chicken. I'd say skip the wasabi prawns unless you really like wasabi. The sauce that came with it was waaaay too overpowering. The menu is a little pricy which we knew so maybe next time we'll try to come in for happy hour and also karaoke! Also, there is no on site parking but there is a garage up the street. I think our waiter's name was Jose, he was great!

some of the dishes were good and some were okay. The price is a bit expensive but they do have some good deals like ayce bites. I reccomend their peking duck and brussels sprouts. the restaurant is very big. service was nice.

I know... you heard this place is the BOMB! Yup... it certainly did bomb. If you are looking for vibes and chilling, this would be the place - bring tons of cash or a platinum card, drinks are expensive if you intend to tie one on here. Mind you, the drinks are pretty good here. If you are looking to dine, again, bring a platinum card and leave your taste buds at the door. Heck, leave it at home - you won't need them. For the price and location and Michelin pedigree, you would expect to have the best asian fusion food in town. Meh... not really. Got a medley of foods and for the love of life and limbs, I can't remember what I had. I do remember a $300 bill for 4 drinks and some food. Their Waygu tataki is a sham. So much, that a foodie like me didn't bother even taking a pix. Actually, it was so small, colourless, and flavourless - my camera couldn't even pick it up. Yeah... my camera can capture flavour - LOL... check out my other pix, you know I can! Anyway, been here. Done that. 2.5 stars... I'm sure there are going to be haters for my review but I tell it like it is. I was hoping 2023 would have been a better start. Meh... After 1500 places in less than a decade of travels and dining, I guess I'm running out of places in N.America. Time to head to Europe!!! OOOOh maybe Latin America! LOL! Cheers.

Dark-moodily lit pan-Asian restaurant! Stylish, open brick, and jade inspired furnishings. i ordered their Red Dragon drink for $26. It was served on a pretty wooden platter with dry ice for a Smokey dragon like vibe. For apps, I had the vegetable dumplings. it was served with a very salty soy sauce on the bottom of the plate rather than a dip. The soy sauce helped with the simplicity of the flavour of the dumplings. For a main I had the Duck Fried Rice. Delightful. Topped with fresh egg, wonderfully seasoned and a delightful crunch. Overall a lovely experience. The servers were all friendly. Next time I'm in Toronto I will have to come back for their bottomless apps special!

We tried out Dasha for their Dim Sum & Chill Happy Hour. I didn't come with the expectation of getting authentic Dim Sum, so unlike some of the reviews here, I quite enjoyed myself. I would describe Dasha as a fusion trendy restaurant with dishes that uses quality ingredients. Dim Sum here wasn't as greasy so it hits differently from the usual dim sum joints. Not saying that either one is better than the other, just pointing out that they might be different experiences. The Six Twenty Spritz was amazing, I highly recommend it. Overall, DASHA is a great spot to grab some light dim sum with delicious cocktails. It's a great spot for after work Happy Hour or light snacks and drinks before dinner.

Quite enjoyed my experience at Dasha. Basically fancy Chinese food. I went on a Thursday night for their bottomless bites menu. The servings in the pictures are for 2people that's why it looks like a lot. The noodles and rice was a bit much but it's okay. It was on the pricier side but I think I got my money's worth. Dessert was not part of the special it was additional but it was very good!! The server was great! He was very friendly and helpful. It wasn't a busy evening I guess it was also a Thursday evening as well. I guess I would come back... I REALLY liked the pork belly bao and the dumplings. I can eat that all day!!!

We had dinner reservations here for a friend's birthday and everything was great! The service was awesome and the food/cocktails tasted amazing. This place is definitely good for small plates and cocktails. I had the Spicy King Salmon Roll, Matcha Sour and Gin Martini. Would recommend all 3 items! We will definitely be back

3.5 Came here for a work event - was a nice spot - got a bit loud towards the end of the night but still Able to have conversations. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Shared a few dishes with the table - the things I could eat - salmon sashimi, truffle fried rice, green bitters, shrimp - loved the fried rice. Sashimi was fresh, flavours were interesting. I definitely like the concept of this place and would be curious to try other dishes!

I give this restaurant a 3.5 stars. My first impression was that it was a cute place for girls' night out (I was told there's a karaoke area upstairs). We came for dinner for my birthday and the food selection was great! I pretty much enjoyed everything and there was enough food for the three of us. The drinks were also decent. I was surprised because our server came out with three shots with sparklers for my birthday! It was really nice. Our server was really sweet and she had great recommendations. I also think the food is quite similar to some other restaurants we have in Toronto, but it's still decent!

Such a fun spot for a girls night! So many drink & food options. The brussel sprouts were seasoned so well. Definitely want to try out their karaoke next time!

FOOD | My friend and I visited DASHA to take advantage of their happy hour drink specials. If you come before a certain time, the wines are $5! For food, we got the Dasha Fried Noodles ($14) and the Miso Eggplant ($15). Both of these were good, but tasted no different than the noodles or eggplant you could get at any other Chinese restaurant. However, I think for the location and ambiance, the prices were decent! AMBIANCE | I am so so obsessed with DASHA's interior; it reminds me of Hong Kong nightlife! The Chinese influences are very apparent, and I think it's a good contender for drinks and late-night bites on King St W. SERVICE | My friend was running late to our reservation, and the servers were super accommodating for our reservation time! They were willing to seat and re-seat us if we wanted to stay over our reserved time. They were also very helpful with the menu. VERDICT | One of my top King St W restaurant picks!

Woah this place is under reviewed! I was very skeptical after reading the reviews which were pretty mixed but still decided to check this place out for girls night. We were a group of 5 girls and had made reservations in advance. We arrived 30 minutes before happy hour ended (4pm - 7pm)and our server was very prompt in getting orders in before 7. The happy hour menu has some of their famous drinks and appetizers for $10, which in my opinion is a fantastic deal. We tried the spring rolls, fried shrimp dumplings, pork buns and the scallop shumai (that was awesome, highly recommend). For our mains, we got fried rice, fried noodles and eggplant. I would definitely recommend getting the eggplant. Contrary to the reviews, the food was delicious! The ambience only added to the whole experience. The restaurant is dim lit and has gorgeous decor. Highly recommend for a night out or a fun date night. 10/10 would be here again!

If I'm going to be in downtown Toronto and I'm going to have a big group, I always pick Bar+ if they're available on the day I'm looking for (and if it's not a Monday -- they're closed on Mondays which I found out by just trying to roll up to the spot!) Bar+ makes group karaoke easy because they have various sizes of rooms, a wide selection of songs (with some recent songs too!) If you're really worried about song choices, there's an app you can download to your phone in which you can browse their entire catalogue whether you're there or not. Bonus, the app also acts as a way to have more than 1 device to add songs into the queue once you're in a room! PRO TIP: if the song listed has the "MTV" tag, it usually. means it's literally just the music video with no lyrics. The other reason Bar+ makes group karaoke easy is that you can go out to the bar to order your own alcohol, or order bottles (of soju) to bring into the room to share, and you pay each time you go out to the bar. One thing to call out -- DON'T throw your bottles into the trash cans in the rooms! The bottles get collected by the staff for recycling! I think there's a service button on the same tablet you input your songs, but I'm pretty sure you can also go out to the bar and ask them to collect empty bottles.

Between 3pm to 8:30pm you can sing as much as you want for only $15 per person and it includes a free non-alcoholic drink and unlimited water! Since the karaoke bar is relatively newer than the others nearby, the sound system and the furnitures are better too. Considering that the price is the same as other places, I would definitely recommend checking out Echo for happy hour karaoke singing. To pick your songs, you can browse through the touchscreen menu to select the songs you want. You need someone in your party who can read Chinese as I don't think the menu has an English mode, though they do have lots of English songs to choose from including the recent ones. Also, keep in mind that no matter how big your room is, each room only gets 2 mics to sing from, so it may be more reasonable to split into 2 rooms if your party is too big. You can call ahead to book a room for your party, this is when we found out that they are owned by the same people who runs 8090KTV across the street lol. Outside of the happy hours, they have other pricing structures such as by per hour or by per person. Since I have never been here during other times, I cannot say how reasonable their prices are, but just for happy hour, Echo is now my favourite karaoke bar in Chinatown.

Our booking was from 7-9pm, but by 9pm we wanted to extend our session for another hour. Thankfully, they allowed us to do so without enforcing the drink service. Tambourines were available in the room and the lighting was great. Only downsides are the lack of space in the room due to the table in the centre, making it impossible to dance, and the difficulty in using their karaoke system. But the workers explained the buttons properly and we were able to figure out the rest through trial and error (how to skip songs, no displays or indication if you've added a song to queue, so if you press multiple times it will also add the song multiple times). The drinks are expensive ($11 for a gin and tonic). Bathrooms were decent. There is a bar outside for drink service. Mood and atmosphere with dim lighting and disco lights are great. They offered us a pitcher of water and several cups when asked.

It cost our group 60 an hour which is basically a dollar a minute. If you are going to do Bohemian Rhapsody from start to finish ya it'll run ya about 6 bucks :) The room we had been given had 4 couches and comfortably seated all of us with enough seating for about a dozen or so. The room had coffee tables so we had places to put our drinks and there were 3 or so books with the song lists on it. One of the books was thicker than the others because it included entire sections for Korean, Japanese and Filipino songs on top of the standard English lists. The lists though were only in order by song, not by artists so it was sort of harder to find songs because of that. The computer to punch in the codes was not in English but there were notes taped on it to explain what was what so it wasn't that confusing. Overall the place is clean, comfortable and the main middle screen while not that clear, we had 2 smaller higher resolution wide screens flanking the old screen so reading the words was not a problem. You could belt out as loud as you wanted even though there's other rooms adjacent everything's pretty well sound proofed so hearing a neighbor was not an issue at all. Newer songs (say last year or so) were grouped together in and color highlighted lists at the end of the books. The order to those almost seemed to be by month. Either way it wasn't that hard to navigate and it was fun. The pricing becomes more reasonable if you have a large group. For us 3 hours was only 16 bucks a person. As far as convenience there's parking along Bloor if you can find some and a Green P parking lot north of Bloor on Clinton. Christie station is right across the street so the TTC is a stone's throw away.
