Needless to say we did not end up getting it because the Indian call Center FirstKey uses told us everything was complete and we would hear back with approval or denial within 24 hours and we did not We waited more than 24 hours before the house was taken off the market and when I called them back, they said my application was incomplete even though the lady told me everything was complete. It was perfect and they submitted it. Then, after being told that we have to go to the vet and get documentation of what type of breed my psychiatric service animal is more than two times I had to explain that they're breaking a law for the fair housing act that they cannot request DNA from a service animal as it's not considered a pet After relocating multiple states and being homeless now for over a week, it took me almost an entire week to get a hold of a supervisor to listen to the recorded line, and of course, after they listen to the recorded line I got no call back and they just completely ignored my calls for almost another week as I was calling three times a day being told that a supervisor would call me back in the next couple hours to the next 24 hours no, after a two week process on FirstKey half my girlfriend finally got a hold of a supervisor even though I've been requesting a callback for weeks now and every time I get the same story that they're too busy on the phone from the second they opened to the second they close The sales team was claiming due to their mistake that we could talk to the supervisors and have them adjust the price of almost exactly the same house right next-door to match that one and of course, the supervisor is saying they cannot adjust prices on any of the houses as they posted it way over market value and sit on it for 2 to 5 months before they finally rented because then it's within an affair market value So now after over a three week process with 3 to 8 phone calls a day we are finally attempting to get a refund for our application as we are never going through FirstKey homes again and we're gonna have to wait 7 to 14 days to even get a refund for our applications This company has been a total joke in the past and this new application over 2 to 3 years later has proven that there's still a complete joke that they charge houses and that they do not assist you because everything goes through an Indian call center and you can't even reach a supervisor or anybody who can actually assist you besides for the telemarketers who answer the call and keep you on the phone for 30 minutes, trying to resolve your issue that they cannot resolve, even if you know that at the very beginning 0/10 I hate to say being that I'm homeless right now, but I'd rather be homeless and continue to be homeless than going through FirstKey homes Never again

They post regular content and often do negotiated deals. However, I quickly learned that the only way you can really take advantage of these deals is if you're ready to sign then and there. It is first-come first-serve and unfortunately, it was not practical for most people to wait around for the perfect deal not knowing the timeline. Most apartments require you to provide 60 day notice of intent to vacate. This timeline felt shorter for me because I was going on an international business trip. I did not really have the time to look around and wasn't sure what to do. Luckily for me, I stumbled across The Realm Agency on Instagram. I liked that their posts showed pricing and location. Sometimes apartment locators can be really obscure in my opinion. I sent them a message and sure enough someone contacted me shortly after. That's when I had the privilege to meet Chris- the best locator around! Chris was super attentive to all of my needs and questions. He inquired about what type of apartment I was looking for, amenities, my budget, expected move in date, etc. I gave him some areas I was interested in and within a few days he had compiled an extensive list for me. I am not lying when I say that Chris worked around the clock to help me find the perfect apartment! We were texting each other during random hours since I was traveling and working in both the Philippines and South Korea. He always kept me informed about my options and was never pushy on a single property. I appreciated his honesty and feedback in regards to the pros/cons of available properties. Working with him honestly felt like talking to a friend! There was one property that I really ended up liking and Chris was able to set up a virtual tour. However, that same apartment ended up getting leased during my tour. I was pretty upset over it, but Chris was able to offer me an even better alternative shortly after (literally the next day or so). Where they can give you a second violation, which you encourage a $25 fee for. You communicate back-and-forth through an app. The lack of community and working together is very evident. Please do your research before moving into a community governed by this HOA.
