I had viewed a few properties on my own but it became so time consuming I decided to reach out to this company to give me a hand. I had four months before my lease ended. Im a planner so I wanted to look at places and get an idea for current market rate (yes i know it fluctuates) at the current time. The agent at this company told me it was ridiculous to look right now because I wasnt getting a logical idea for pricing and openings for when Id actually be moving. Id already established that I didnt care. If I found a place I liked I was willing to pay more or downsize if that be the case. I was bothered by this agents response so I used a different company and found a great place. I decided to move to a larger apartment in uptown. I decided to give this company a second try. My mom always told me to give people a second chance before you write them off. I dont even have words to describe the agent Ruben that attempted to help me. I explained to him that the list of apartments he sent me were apartments Id already visited on my own and that his prices didnt match up to theirs. He basically pulled what was off their website and sent it to me. Any idiot can do that! I went into a few apartments before contacting him to see what they could offer and the amounts offered were different than what he told me later. His excuse was "prices change daily." Ok sure. Then why are you quoting me at a higher price each day than these properties? I can call them and they still quote me at a lower price. My other complaint is that his list was very minimal. He didnt list all properties in uptown. I did better on my own driving up and down McKinney. I told him I found a place on my own and I appreciated his attempt but I wouldnt be needing him anymore. He emailed me back asking if I would put him down as the referral person. Im sorry what?!?! You want me to put you down as the person who reffered me when you arent even the one who found the apartment?!?! I dont think so! Why should you make money off of me for doing less work than what me as the client did? A few months later I received annoying emails from him that were clearly mass emails asking to use him and refer him. There was no opt out option so I emailed asking to be removed. I got no response back. I kept getting these emails. So I replied again asking to be removed from his mailing list. I got a nasty email back saying he didnt know why i wasnt removed and he'd love to remove me immediately. Awesome! So Im removed right? NOPE! I received another email! I finally reported him to the FCC for failure to provide an opt out link and for repeatedly emailing after request to stop. I still received emails for months till one day they all of a sudden stopped! Thank heavens! I will never use this company again and I do not encourage using them. if you're looking for an apartment in uptown go by word of mouth or drive up and down McKinney and the side streets!
