Mood-setting atmosphere for final paperwork in Waltrip finance dept.

Been coming here since moving to the area several years ago. Greg Schmidt (sales) has been very helpful; friendly & courteous. Kwame Okraku (service), Bryson Clark (service) , and virtually all other staff have been attentive, polite, helpful, and respectful. This is my first return to the facility since the relatively recent remodel. Bright, airy, clean, and comfortable waiting area. Conveniently located restrooms plus coffee, water, fresh fruit are all provided if you need to wait Prices for new & used vehicles is competitive. After-market add-ons can be pricey. (Caveat Emptor if purchasing elsewhere; you likely will "get what you pay for.") Requesting service is relatively easy and the staff will try to meet the needs of your schedule whenever possible. In today's fast-paced and often unpredictable world, it is nice to see Darrell Waltrip Honda upholding their standard of excellence.

*Sold me a new lemon that had to be towed after 6 hours *Look at the contract, they comped me for the car but not the $3k added package *Sold me a certified used lemon replacement with engine noises I can reproduce and have recorded *Still owes me a second OEM key a month later (and multiple people worked on that for me) *My replacement was sold with wheel locks and no key, so if I get a flat I need a tow... It's a pickup truck, what if I was towing? Bad neighborhood? What else... 2 6 hour sessions for the purchase of the car and replacement. I paid for the tow out of pocket. A wasted trip to the dealership because my spare key wasn't ready as in they had no idea I was supposed to get one... Had to detail car myself after purchase... During the diagnostic of the brand new sports car, I think they drove 5 miles farther then their normal 11 mile test drive (I know it's 11 cause I asked)... Possible joy ride but I can't verify... They paid below KBB on my brand new mint trade in... Small print said they couldn't give me the vet discount... I have been on long term mental disability for 10 years and I just got my first job since as a mechanical bull operator/bouncer. Just trying to better myself and be a productive giving citizen in society, and this is the horrendous garbage I have to deal with... I'm an fing human being you know...

Please know I've done my best to write this with respect and honesty, as I have email and phone records to support my claims. My experience with Alexander Automotive was so troubling that I felt that I need warn others. Throughout the process, I was lied to, and crucial information was deliberately withheld. There are several concerns that appeared throughout the process, such as speaking negatively about another dealership (Cool Springs Toyota), but I will focus on the two major issues that is intended to help others reconsider doing business with this dealer. The first major issue was the blatant lies about the condition of the truck. Allan, the GM, assured me the Toyota Tundra I was interested in was "immaculate" with no rust. However, an inspection by another Toyota dealer revealed severe rust problems, with parts suspiciously painted over to hide the damage. The inspector went as far to say that he himself would not buy this truck. The second major issue was the withholding information about recent severe damage to the truck. When I requested the vehicle history, the CarFax report provided by Alexander Automotive omitted a recent severe accident that caused structural damage. My independent vehicle history check revealed the truck had "severe damage to the structure" from an auction purchase just a month prior. This blatant omission is deceitful and unacceptable. While their communication was prompt and polite, their deceptive practices overshadow any positives. To anyone considering buying from Alexander Automotive: beware. The lack of transparency and dishonesty I experienced were shocking. If I had trusted them, it could have caused serious financial harm to my family. If you value your money and trust, shop elsewhere. Avoid Alexander Automotive at all costs.

After Franklin Ram screwed up my truck three times I took it over to Freeland. I happened to get Rachel as a service tech, and she was absolutely terrific. She was quick, professional, and very personable. She kept me updated on the status of my truck and made sure I had a ride to and from the dealership. They were able to take care of a couple things and head to order some parts For another The second time was just like the first they got me in quick got me a ride home and kept me updated on the status of my truck. I'm quite happy with the work they've done and would not hesitate to recommend their service department to anyone. I was also looking for a couple things and went to the parts department. Mike helped me out and went above and beyond to find the information I needed. Overall, that is my go to dealership. All the people working, there seem quite knowledgeable and very friendly.

I've had it serviced at the store numerous times. I consider David Beasley, the service manager, a friend. (He owns 34 pairs of Jordan's). I tried everything to buy a new (to me) vehicle from them while I was getting my oil changed a few weeks ago. They acted like they thought I was joking. I went and bought another car from another dealership and then came back to try to sell them the Durango that I bought from them. I took it to them on Friday February 20th to see if they'd purchase it. After all, I get emails and mailers from them all the time saying they want to buy my Durango. Well, the used car manager took a look at it and then proceeds to have the salesman tell me it's not something they'd be interested in purchasing. Fast forward to today. Carvana just picked up my Durango and brought a check with them. Easiest experience ever!

My in-laws who live locally let me drive their 2025 cx50 hybrid and I knew I had to have one. I walked in to the dealership on a random Tuesday and Drake greeted myself and my husband and happily agreed to show us the inventory and go over pricing. We were in a time crunch the first day stopping in so I searched the inventory online for the white exterior I wanted, and when it didn't pop up, I texted Drake who said he could do a dealer trade for the specific colorway I wanted. As soon as I said I was interested in proceeding, Drake went to work for me. The very next morning he texted me that my car was ready for me to pickup! It must have been fate because that was my birthday! Tate helped us close the deal because Drake's shift ended earlier than I was able to get there, but ultimately I was able to drive my new car home on my birthday. I noticed a warped all weather mat on the back seat at the time of purchase and was assured that it could be molded straight. When I got it home however, it was clear that something under the mat was uneven because it folded/warped each time the seat back was placed upright again. I took it in and despite me and my husband initially making bit of a scene, Baylor helped us get the underlying problem fixed and had his team reshape the mat so it looks brand new again. Thanks to the team at Nelson Mazda. I couldn't love my new car more.

I had spent approximately $5,000 on repairs that did not resolve the issue, and after only about 6,000 miles, I was once again being told I needed a new engine. From my perspective, I felt like I had wasted a lot of money. After posting my review, the new Service Manager, Wyatt, reached out to me personally. He listened to my concerns, treated me with respect, and never dismissed what I had experienced. More importantly, he took ownership of the situation even though he wasn't the manager when all of this originally happened. Wyatt worked with his technician to come up with a different repair approach. They performed Nissan's Dynamic Engine Cleaning procedure, replaced all four internal camshaft sprockets, installed new gaskets and related components, and worked with me on the cost. They even arranged transportation for me while the work was being completed. Most importantly, the van is now running properly. Customer service isn't about never making mistakes--it's about how a business responds when something goes wrong. Wyatt went above and beyond to restore my confidence, communicated with me throughout the process, and followed through on everything he said he would do.
