Firestone was my go to place for several years. But over the last couple of years, the service level has really gone down. I took my car there because the AC was not working. (An oil change place said that it looked as those the compressor was not working.) Firestone told me that they could not find anything wrong. They suggested that they recharge the AC and include a dye that would identify a leak if one exists. A.month later. In 90 degree weather, the AC was no longer cooling the car. I took it back to Firestone and they told me that they could not find a leak. They suspected that it could be under the dash and recommended that I take it to a dealership. I took the car to a dealership and they told me that they would need to recharge the AC and include dye. I told them that Firestone had already done that. The dealership told me that they do not see any remnants of dye in the system and it is likely that I was lied to. So I pay another fee for a recharge with dye and a month later, in 90 degree weather, the car no longer heated. I took it back to the dealership and they showed me where the compressor was leaking using a black light. Which confirms that Firestone never added any dye and that the oil change shop was correct to begin with. I spent way more money than I should ever have to fix what should have been an obvious issue for a repair shop to identify. I was a repeat customer for years. I am highly disappointed in Firestone. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! This place lied to me saying I needed over $1200 of repairs that I did not need. This was verified by 2 other local (more trusted) shops. Please read... My name is Andrew and I own a local business here in Franklin. We brought our work truck in to get an alignment because the truck was pulling left a little bit (normal for a truck that goes off road weekly) and also to get the front right TPMS sensor replaced because it had gone bad. They gave me a fair price for the alignment but said I had to pay $50 diagnosis fee before they would replace the TPMS sensor. I told them I didn't want the diagnosis and just wanted the front right TPMS sensor replaced because that was the only TPMS sensor that was not working. They told me " we have to do our diagnostics first to see which sensor is out". I told them it was 100% the front right, like I had already told them. They said they still have to do a $50 diagnostics first and then they'll charge me for the labor/sensor. So I told them to forget it and just do the alignment. I finally left the truck with them. Three hours later, I get a call from Firestone and they say that my alignment cannot be completed because my tie rods are seized, and one of the bushings in the control arms is bad. They told me it would be over $1200 to replace one control arm and two tie rods. I knew this couldn't be right because the control arms were less than a year old (which Firestone did not know), so that was my first red flag. I also get maintenance on this vehicle every 3-6 months and have never been told any bolts were seized. I ended up telling them to just forget it and then I would come back to pick up the vehicle so I could take it to another shop. I took the vehicle to another local shop and told them exactly what Firestone told me. The next day they called me and said they completed the alignment without any issue. I got the truck back from them and it drove perfectly. They also confirmed that the bushings on the control arm were not only fine but that they were in excellent condition and that the tie rods were in fact, not seized at all. After this I took the truck to another shop for a third option just to make sure. The third shop confirmed that everything was in perfect condition... If I didn't know any better, Firestone would have over charged me $1,200. I will never return to Firestone on 108 Rand Pl. Franklin. Please save yourself the time and money. read more

Sadly I now know why this location only has 2 stars. My car broke down two days after paying for a full service check and getting 4 new tires put on. When I go back to have them fix it they want to charge me again for a service check. Rip off. Time to find a new mechanic. read more

ZERO STARS!!!! I took my car in to have a valve stem fixed. After 4 hours and 3 miles of walking in 100 degree heat, I was told they wouldn't do it. I was told the only way that they would fix it is if I bought 2 new tires, because they need to match. $600!!! I was told my tread depth was at 2/32nds and that's the limit. They can't fix it due to a "Liability" issue. My tread depth is currently more than 1/8th inch! Thank you for showing your true colors Firestone. You just lost a 22 year customer, because you chose to lie to make a $600 sale rather than do honest business. Thank the good lord for Discount Tire!!!!! read more

Ordered wheels online and had them delivered here for installation. With multiple interactions, no one seemed to mention that they wouldn't mount my existing tires on the new wheels...until I came in for the installation. "No we don't do that. We only install on new tires you buy from us." "Well I wish someone would have told me that before now." (Silence) Talked to two different people. Neither said "sorry for the inconvenience" or anything besides "nope." Was clear that neither of them gave a flip, which is even more infuriating than the larger situation. Guess I should have looked at the ratings before I chose this place for delivery/install. Now I've got to schlep four wheels to another place (in a two-seater, no less) who will actually do the work. Discount Tire is where I usually go, and clearly should have gone in the first place. I'd recommend going somewhere that actually cares about customers...because you can be sure that I will never give this place any of my business. Edit: went to discount and the difference was incomparable. GREAT service, and even though they were very busy (Firestone had only one other customer...wonder why) they had me in and out in an hour, with no appointment. Bravo! read more

I dropped my car off at 12 came back to get my car at 4:30. It had never been looked at I had a Flat tire with a donut on .I took the car and left . I couldn't be without my car overnight. I should have told up front we won't look at your until 6 pm . It very upsetting. I don't live there had no way to get home . Paid for a Lyft 2 times . This location is why I choose Firestone for all things with our Ram Promaster vehicle maintenance. My husband and I travel often for work and while working in Franklin we stopped into this Firestone ( 10 minutes to closing) to see if they possibly had any last minute cancellations for the next morning as we would be leaving town to make our way back to New York and an oil change needed to be done. The younger then us service attendant who worked there that day was a complete gentleman, completely professional, wasn't able to accommodate us for the morning which was totally fine but realized something was off with our back tire by the looks and filled all 4 tires with air as a courtesy. No charge. He could have just sent us off on the road. it was the end of the day. We were not local customers. We can't express how grateful we were to be taken care of in that way by someone so thoughtful. I can't wait to come back to Franklin so we can get our tuneups and oil changes with your team. Honestly, I doubt there's anything that this location could do to make my day better. Not totally their fault, however they have the potential to make my day better. I drove into Firestone with an Enterprise rental car. Yes Enterprise had me drive their rental car to Firestone for a tire repair. If this befuddles you, we are on the same team. After sitting for an hour and a half, my car was "fixed". The low tire light that was on when I drove in, was on when I drove out. They assured me that the low tire light would go off as I drove. It did. And 20 minutes later was back on. Three hours later I drove into Knoxville on a full flat. Yes, I drove in on the rim. I would not suggest this Firestone for tire patching. That's supposedly what they did to the vehicle I was driving, and it didn't work. The staff was friendly enough. They had scheduled appointments that had to come before my repair job. My wait seemed longer than the average wait time. read more

I've utilized this shops service on 3 occasions. For the first 2 visits, my wife and I went in together. They were polite and only did the work that was requested (IE: installed new tires). For the 3rd visit, my wife went alone. She went in to get an oil change because we had a free coupon from a coupon book. When she returned home, she informed me that they had found a hole in one of our tires and had to replace the tire with a new one. They also tried to convince her that the car required major work. They said something about ball bearings and leaking oil that caused our ABS light to remain on (keep in mind, the car never leaked oil before this visit). They said if the work was not done, the car would be ruined within a few months. This major work would cost in the neighborhood of $2,000.00. Thankfully, my wife said she had to ask me before approving the work. After bring the car home, it was suddenly leaking a small amount of oil onto the driveway. I checked under the hood and noticed that the oil filter was just barely hand tightened. I could move the filter with light pressure. After properly tightening the filter, the oil leak stopped. We also took the vehicle to our actual mechanic. He installed a new speed sensor and an engine mount for under $500.00 to correct the ABS light issue. I can't help but think that the only reason these things were done was because my wife went alone. They tried to take advantage of her because she is a woman. They also purposely left the oil filter loose to make it appear as though the car had an oil leak. I am very disappointed in this shop and will not return for any other work. read more

I really like this place. I drive a fleet vehicle and have to take it to certain places that J&J contracts with for service. For many years, Firestone was on the list and that's when I got used to bringing my cars to this particular Firestone in Franklin. Started out here because it was close to a gym I used to attend. I could drop off my car, get a workout and then pick it up again. However I grew to really like this particular place, mostly because of the super friendly service. I kept going there after I changed gyms. In 2013 J&J dropped Firestone from their preferred service list and OMG, I had one crappy experience after another at some of the other vendors in the area. (cough...NTB...cough). But this year Firestone is back on! I went there again last weekend. Same friendly service and they are quick but efficient and pro-active...I like that. read more

We have always taken our cars to Firestone for all of our mechanical needs. This particular firestone location is incredible. Extremely honest, fabulous customer service and good prices. We brought my Acadia in this week due to a leak, they diagnosed it and found that my water pump seal was broken. They called the dealer all on their own and found that my car was still under warranty and told me to take it to the dealer and it would be covered. I did exactly that, with 5 days left under warranty. They could have not gone the extra mile to check if it was under warranty and made money themselves, yet they didn't charge me a dime to look at it and the dealer fixed it costing us $0! FABULOUS customer service. Not money hungry and extremely honest! Thank you so much for being a car care place that we can trust... SO appreciate it! Customers for life! read more

Let me start by saying I have no issue with this Firestone store. In fact, I have really enjoy doing business with them. But... I have been an extremely loyal Firestone customer ever since buying my first car in 1976. One reason for the loyalty has been the ability to conveniently pay with my Firestone Credit Card, an account I opened in the early 80's and is issued by CFNA, the in-house finance arm of Bridgestone/Firestone. CFNA reviews on several sites/pages document CFNA's inability to timely process payments and the frustration incurred by so many consumers experiencing this. In the preceding 24 months, I have had 8 payments, all manual checks through my banks bill pay system, that have not been credited to my account until weeks or months after their date of receipt. Four of those payments are still outstanding, having never been processed but documented as sent by my bank. Then a protracted interaction with CFNA's customer service department is required to waive late fees, duplicate payments, and restore the account. Then several weeks or months later, the original payment is eventually processed resulting in a double payment. Although a phone call to CFNA's customer service line temporairly resolves the issue, the time wasted and frustration incurred has driven me to the decision to pay off and close this account. Without using their internal credit solution, I am no longer loyal to Firestone and free to buy tires and other automative services from their competitors. I am sorry it has come to this, but enough is enough. I hope someone from Bridgestone/Firestone sees this post and the light comes on that their credit arm is actually causing them to lose loyal customers. I am posting this also on other review sites to increase those odds. Perhaps if others posting here will discuss how their problems with CFNA impact their relationship with the retailer, Bridgestone/Firestone will begin to understand. read more

Just wanted to share my miserable experience over the weekend at Firestone. I'm in town for the weekend and, happened to pick up a screw in one of my tires. Called to ask about a patch, and was told to bring it in. After taking down all my information, the guy there looks at the tire and tells me that it can't be patched, but that I could buy a new tire. I'm not a big fan of commissioned salesmen, and I'm actually not an idiot. I thanked him for his opinion, and proceeded to Discount Tire. I was treated with respect just down the road, and had my tire patched for no charge. I will avoid Firestone now, wherever I am. read more

We've used this place for years since it's so convenient. We only had one incident where they did something they weren't supposed to before a couple weeks ago. I came in to have the oil changed. When I picked up the car, there were 5 miles on the trip odometer. Someone used my car for errands. The manager confirmed that there was no reason for them to test drive the car. They all roundly denied taking it, but unless someone stole it off the lot then brought it back, one of them did. Unfortunately, the perp might go work at the next place I take my car to, but the manager's reaction to all this ensures that I will never be back. I always service my vehicles at this Firestone but I called today about 2pm and asked if I could drop my car off for an oil change and get it the following day (allowing them plenty of time, not expecting a 30 minute turnaround) and Karen told me she couldn't take my vehicle till next week. Really? Stay open longer hours, hire more techs or find a way to work more efficiently if you're so busy you can't do a simple oil change within 36 hours. They were much higher priced than their competitors and took the liberty to do additional work to my car that wasn't needed and that I didn't ask them to do. Side walls blew out on a 10month/12,000 mile Falken tire. Hugh said road hazard damage is not covered. He looked and looked, and finally find a place in the tread that he claimed was a puncture. Another dealer says it's not, and the tire was defective. They refuse to honor the warranty. Stay away from these people; they sell an inferior product and they will find a way to void the warranty. read more

Went in without an appointment and asked if they could get me in. I had a noise happening when i would backup and apply the brakes. Was told they could look at it in about an hour. Very friendly and accommodating. They called me in a couple of hours and told me it was ready. Just needed to tighten up a loose part and lube. I asked how much and was told NO CHARGE. WOW! Was I pleasantly surprised. I had my breaks done there 55k miles ago and was not expecting 0 cost. Excellent service! read more

I posted this review on a separate website, but after reading the gentleman's review above this one, this seems to be a common problem. Seriously, never go here. I had a tire on my car that needed to be patched after getting a nail in it. We used the kit that came with my car which included a Fix-A-Flat type product. This was the only place open past 6:00 pm, so I decided to give it a go. I called before I even got in there just to make sure they could take care of the problem, and the guy on the phone, who's name is Cameron, was nice enough. I don't really know a lot about cars, but I just wanted to get the tire fixed. I got in there, and sat down in the waiting area, and around 5 minutes later, this Cameron fellow comes and tell me that the Fix-A-Flat deteriorates tires and that I need a new tire, which I now know isn't true. At the time, I just wanted to get it fixed, so, not knowing that this man was exploiting the fact that I am a young woman still in my teens who isn't car-savvy, I bought the tire, and they put a used tire on my car. By the request of my mom, I had asked for the damaged tire back, but Cameron just brought it back in with the Fix-A-Flat still in it, and didn't even clean it out. Luckily, after I had called my dad, he told me he would take care of it. Now, they are supposed to me pay me back for the new tire, $90, but I still don't have my money back. I now know never to go to these people. I can't help it that i don't know everything about cars, and it is just plain wrong to cheat someone like that. Never go to this place unless you want people to lie to you while they cheat you out of your money. read more

They took great care of us -- and our dogs, helped us get to a nearby hotel for the night, got our van fixed in a timely manner, and picked us up the next morning to get us on our way again. Never take your car here. I have taken my cars to this establishment in previous years for brakes. Major issue this time: Took my car to Firestone at Rand Place in Franklin in June. I could tell it needed new brakes: began making a mild grinding noise at harder stops. They fixed it by resurfacing rotors and new pads at a reasonable price, ~ $165. Less than one month later, brakes were squeaking all the time. I took it back in and they proceeded to tell me I needed to have the same thing done again. Their excuse was the hot weather and constant city driving(in stop and go traffic) would warp the rotors, in less than one month, remember. I don't drive this particular car every day, nor do I do city driving at high traffic times. Before I began to complain, they were going to charge me to have the same thing done again. Neither of the managers took responsibility for poor quality of work. They only gave lame excuses as to why this happened. Only when I suggested it was because the techs were in a hurry or looking for other issues with the car to make money off of customers, did they concede it could have been the reason for the problem. Rifling through customers belongings in the car(my cd's) also seems to be common. They also recommended I needed a new cabin air filter(another ploy to make money from me). Had they visually inspected the filter, they would have seen it was brand new, as I had had it replaced less than 2 weeks ago. Their excuse for that scam was that the cabin filter was hard to get to--another lie, it takes less than 3 minutes to change it-- and they were just going by factory recommended replacement times. This business owner obviously does not understand good customer service. A quality service is hard to find. Train your staff and management well and your business will succeed. Don't have them spend time looking for unscrupulous ways to make money off of their customers suggesting things they do not need. I did let them re-do the work and when my car was ready the manager did not speak to me when I came in to pick it up, he was no where to be found. The guilty usually run and hide. Although I did let them re-do the work and was not charged, I am concerned after reading other reviews here that they might have done something unscrupulous to my car. If I have any other issue with my car in the near future I will of course suspect the obvious. Stay tuned. read more

This facility has serviced my family's 4 (and now 3) cars for about a decade; I have yet to be disappointed. They have recommended that I delay repairs that I thought I needed, and they have routinely spotted things that I missed. Their prices are fair. The service is high quality. I am always confident that I am getting the best service and only the service that I need. I highly recommend them. I would send my daughter or my mother to them without hesitation. read more

I went to get my oil changed and thought I needed brakes due to hearing a noise when I applied the brakes, but the serviceman did not try to upsell anything....Just cleaned the rear pads for $25. Had a coupon for buy one oil change get one free so I gave my free one to my son. Service is fast, friendly, and reasonable. I won't go anywhere else. read more

The front desk personnel were pleasant but inferior quality service. Went for a front end alignment, was told one corner was too far too be corrected. The final numbers were the exact same as the original numbers. There was ZERO correction. I do not recommend this establishment and will not be using them in the future. read more

A different location said they had 7 hours worth of appointments first. Walmart would be 90 minutes. Most Fast Lube places were not open on Sunday or not open yet. So my wife and kid would be getting out of service in the next 30 minutes...Called up this location. They were able to squeeze me in and even recommended & gave a quick tire rotation; which I would have put off indefinitely. It's kind of like a dad making you take your multi vitamin, looking out for ya! Anyway. I'm 36 now, been with Firestone since I got my learners permit. Hugh assured me he could get me in and out even with the time constraint. I would have paid a premium for some express lube competitor just to make sure the job was done fast. These guys delivered on their promise! Been listening to his interactions with customers and over the phone. Professional, knowledgable, and amenable.
