The best falafel and humus. I ordered the meat combination plate very generous portions. So far the best middle eastern food

The menus have no pricing so when we asked about it he stated that we had to purchase one hookah per person but would make us a deal and do 2 hookahs for 4 people. Disrespectful Experience at DREAM Hookah LOUNGE…read more I visited Dream Hookah Lounge with a few friends last night and had an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating. We were told we couldn't take the menu to our table and had to place our order right there, which felt very rushed and unwelcoming. The pricing was confusing, and the staff's attitude made us feel unwelcome. The guy was so disrespectful if there was any body rather then me was getting in a fight with him the guy was simply racist because I'm Middle Eastern American and he was a white guy, but he didn't know that I am a white middle Eastern that grow up in this country and voted every four years I swear if my wife was not there, then I was showing the guy that was up. So he should know how to respect the people, and how he should talk to the people. Additionally, when we asked for simple drinks, we were told that only hot tea was available, and even basic requests were denied. The situation escalated when we tried to use the bathroom he is coming trying to open the badges door for what to see my shit I am so passed and were treated invasively, and we were also told we couldn't go to our car for a smoke. Overall, the lack of respect and the unprofessionalism left a very negative impression. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the overall experience for customers . I want personally that you the owner contact me and explain your employees attitude

It was around 6:45 on a Saturday and there were only about 2-3 other groups. To order you have to scan the QR code at your table. Its convenient because everyone can just order and pay on their own tab. The food, hookah, and cards are all ordered through this. Everything came out lightening fast. I got the chicken plate with white meat and the cinnamon tea, less sweet. The plate had plenty of food and was pretty good but not anything special. The tea was absolutely delish and I would highly recommend it. Randomly the chips off of my friends plate were one of my favorite things. I dipped it in the hummus and it was a great flavor combo. They have plenty of hookah flavors and by 8:00 pm the place was packed and you could not see through the smoke lol. Service is a little spotty if you need help. There were some helpful servers and some that were lacking. The place has 2-3 too many tables, you have to walk through a maze to try to exit because it is so cramped. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Most of our group ended up just holding our pee in! Overall the place had good vibes but there are some holes in the service. Also, Parking gets extremely crowded at night.

Came here on a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty…read more When we approached the host stand, a man was standing there with his back to us on his phone. We weren't even sure if he worked there or was just waiting. We walked past him and saw two guys (one seemed like the owner or manager) standing and talking. No acknowledgment at all. We finally asked if we could sit anywhere and were just told "yes." We sat outside and waited quite a while before anyone came to take our order. We ordered a Blue Mist hookah and it had almost no flavor -- it tasted like it had already been smoked for an hour. No one checked on us, so my husband had to get up and find the manager to ask for a replacement. We switched to Double Apple and it was the same thing: basically flavorless. We asked for water and the manager dropped off bottled water without saying anything. It's really frustrating when you're not told upfront that there's no free water. If I'm paying for a drink anyway, I would've preferred tea. Once again, we had to track down the manager to ask him to swap it out for tea. We also ordered a combo kebab platter. The presentation was nice, but the food itself was average. The meats were decent, but the hummus was pretty bad. To top it off, the guy who had been standing at the host stand (who we later realized worked there) sat at a nearby table watching videos loudly on his phone while we were eating. Super annoying and unprofessional. Overall, poor service and food that didn't really deliver. Not a place I'd rush back to.

Cairo Restaurant & Cafe - Anaheim Rating: (5/5)…read more I ordered from Cairo Restaurant & Cafe through Uber Eats, and this ended up being one of the most meaningful food experiences I've had in a long time. For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. It's a 5-star review because the food was genuinely outstanding -- rich, decadent, comforting, and made the right way. It is very hard for me to say that something compares to my mother's cooking, but this truly came close. I cannot wait to come in person in the next few weeks. Cairo Restaurant & Cafe didn't just serve food -- they delivered a memory.
